An Awesome Saturday

Well I had things to do today in my male life so I got up early in hopes of having a full day of Susan time as I really need to get to the nail salon for a manicure and pedicure. On thing is going to the gym, I joined Snap fitness One week ago today and my goal was to go there at least 3 times a week. Well I am actually doing better as I made it 6 out of 7 days only missing Monday and I was going today also. I got there at 10 and did 25 minutes on the elliptical, 25 minutes on the tread mill (still just walking fast) and 15 minutes on another machine, not sure what it is called but it simulates the movement a speed skater does. I was there for 1 1/2 hours and my legs were tired but that was okay as I was going to get a manicure and pedicure.

I got home at noon and called Dream Nails to get an appointment. Annie was able to get me in at 3 so I had a little time yet. I started getting ready a little after 1 and took my time. I had to do my makeup in a way that it worked for daytime but would also look good for the evening out at the Escape with my friends. I did a smoky eye look but with browns and it really turned out well. I was on my way at 2:55 luckily Dream nails is only a couple minutes away.

I got there right at 3 and went in. They were really busy 9 people in the pedicure chairs and 1 lady waiting, I am so glad I made an appointment. Annie had just finished up with a lady and told me to pick out my color and showed me some new colors she had just gotten in. I found this really deep red by China Glaze called Salsa for my toes but I really would love it for my fingers also.

Annie asked if we could start with my manicure first and I said that was fine and gave her the polish. She asked what color I wanted in my fingers and I so wanted to say the color I handed her but I no that would be way to much for work. I went with clear pink again which really is just a clear coat. I sat down and she filed off the top of the gel and put the little cotton balls on my fingers to soften the gel polish. There was another lady who just wanted her gel polish removed and regular nail polish put on so she had her sit next to me and while I waited for the gel to soften she did the same thing to her nails. Then it was time to scrape off the gel and start my manicure. By this time one of the other nail techs had finished and came over and started working on the other ladies nails. It really is a wonderful experience going to the nail salon. Annie asked if I wanted my nails trimmed which again I really didn’t but they were pretty long now over 1/8 of an inch which doesn’t seem like that long but when you are talking nails that is pretty long. She trimmed them back to about the same length she did last time I was here which is actually a nice length but in 2 weeks when I come back they will be long again. It is funny as I was trying to come here every 2 1/2  to 3 weeks as over the year it will be a little cheaper because I would be going 18 to 20 times a year but with the length of my nails I probably will have to come every 2 weeks. With my fingers looking pretty and very shinny and just a little long, it was time for my pedicure.

I went over and started soaking my feet and it felt so good. As much as I like manicures they are more for the look of the hands where pedicures are just so relaxing. The warm water, the salt scrub and then the massage with the lotion and oils a,d then the hot stone rub. It really is wonderful and relaxing, everyone should treat themselves to this. Soon it was time to put the polish on my toes and with the first brush stroke I loved the color and immediately thought and wished I could have done my fingers this color. Annie finished painting my toes and as I said it was really busy so there were already 4 ladies sitting over at the drying bench so there was no room for me so Annie just had me sit where I was and let them dry which was fine with me. I highly recommend Dream nails as I have always had a wonderful experience here and they do an awesome job. I always try to get Annie but I over the last year in a half I have had 3 other nail techs here do my nails and they all did a wonderful job. Of course as I was sitting there letting them dry I had my phone out and figured why not get a couple pictures. I wonder why I never thought of this before. I spent 1 1/2 hours here and loved every moment.

It was 4:30 when I left here feeling beautiful. Now I had a little time before going to the Escape and I needed to catch up on some e-mails and a little work so I headed to the Starbucks I went to last night for an hour or so. Now I like doing this as it is fun but it also gives me a chance to see how other woman dress. Now I was casual today with yoga pants and a cute top and I noticed most of the girls here also had on yoga pants,  seems that is pretty common for woman today but most of them had on heels. It was about 6 when I left Starbuck and headed over to the Escape.

I got to the Escape a little after 6, it wasn’t long and Cassandra showed up. It was great to see here again as she has been out of the country for the last month on vacation, I was glad she got there early as I got a chance to talk with her and hear all about her trip and see her pictures. She got some really good pictures especially on the Cruise ship, her and Julie went out of the Cruise ship and Cass and Julie. They had so much fun and the pictures were awesome, Cassandra looked so pretty. I am really looking forward to talking with Julie and Peggy now to hear about the trip from them.

Soon other girls started to show up, Cristine, Laura, Brittany, Samantha and a couple friends, Lori, Cassie, Rachael, Miss and a couple of her friend and also Michelle. we had a really good turn out tonight. It was fun to talk with all of the. I got a chance to talk with Lori a little and get to know her better, She is still new it going out but she is so happy when she s out as Lori. I also talked with Rachael for a while, I think I have met her before. We had a nice talk and I was sure her hair was real but I was wrong. It was a wonderful day and I really do have wonderful friends. I stayed out till a little after 11 before calling it a night.

Okay a different Friday night out, Out at Starbucks on Mill Plain.

I was happy it was Friday night as I was looking forward to some Susan time. I was wondering what to do as I can’t stay out to late tonight and new I would be the only one from our group at Sweet Home. I thought about going there but I had a few errands I had to do and I thought why not do them as Susan. I got dressed as early as I could and was on my way. I took care of the things I had to do and found myself on the east side so I stopped at Cascade Station and did a little shopping at Ross, Didn’t find anything so I went to Panda Express to get something to eat. They were pretty busy being a Friday night.

After I ate I figured I would just go to the Starbucks here for a couple hours and catch up on some work. I parked and started to walk in but they were packed. I don’t mind it being busy but there were no tables and people standing and talking. I really needed a table for my computer s I could do my work. It was after 7 now and time was short as the Starbucks by my house and also the one out on 164th off Mill Plain both close at 8 so it wouldn’t leave much time.

I got off on Mill Plain and remembered there is a Starbucks Right on the corner of Mill Plain and Chkalov I have gone to a couple ties both as Susan and my male self and as it was not 7:30 there wasn’t much time left so I decided to stop at this one really quick.

I went inside and they were a little busy but had tables available so I ordered a drink. I went to pay for t and they informed me their computers were down rebooting so the drink was on the house. I felt like a winner even though it was getting late. I got out my computer and decided to check and see if they were open till 8 or 9 hoping it was 9. well I was wrong, turns out this Starbucks is open 24 hours according to their web page. Now I am not sure how late I will stay here.

I do have to get up early as I have some things I have to do at 8 and of course I want to go to the Gym (yes I joined a gym last week) and work out. I am actually proud of myself as I went and worked out Last Saturday, Sunday, (missed Monday), Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and today so I have made it to the gym 6 of the last 7 days. The first day was hard. AS I was out of shape. 10 minutes on the elliptical and I was soaked by sweat and my pulse was up at 168. But the good news is after only a week I did 25 minutes on the Elliptical and my pulse only got to 150 and then I did 25 minutes on the tread mill walking fast. and I actually feel pretty good. Not sure if I will loose weight but I will at least feel better and be in better shape.

I also need to go to the nail salon for a manicure and pedicure tomorrow. I have managed to keep my nails without trimming them and they are pretty long now between 1/8 and a 1/4 inch. I will have to get them trimmed back tomorrow. Then Saturday night I will be out at the Escape. Should be a fun night as Cassandra is back from vacation and will be out. I am also hoping Julie makes it out also as I really want to hear all about their trip. I also need to find some time to get together with Peggy for Dinner for the same reason. I am sure they all had a wonderful time.

Saturday night at the Escape, Pride weekend.

I was really looking forward to tonight and going out with my friends. My goal was to start getting ready at 4:30 with the hope of being to the Escape by 6 pm but lets start a little earlier in the day. I have been talking about trying to loose some weight and yes also get in shape. I have started exercising and then stopped so many times I can’t count. Well the last time I got my nails done I noticed there is a small fitness center in the same complex called Snap fitness so as I was out taking care of things in y male life I stopped in and checked it out. They have no contract so it is pay by the month which  like and even though they have limited staffed hours they give you a key card so you can go there 24/7. Well I ended up joining in hopes I can stay with it. It is close to my house and I go right by it every day. I am only putting it here in my blog again in hopes that will motivate me more as I intend to keep track of my progress here on my blog. I actually went back about 3 and spent an hour there working out, wow I am out of shape.

I got home from working out and started getting ready for tonight. I took a little longer getting ready partly from choosing my outfit which I wound up going with the red dress I wore to the Red Dress Party. I was ready just before 6 and ready to leave. Now my neighbor across the street (one of the ones who knows about Susan moved) and I have new neighbors who I have met just once. well they had friends over and the man was out in his driveway with 2 of his friends unloading things from the car but I was read to go so I just pulled out of my garage and was on my way. My thought is if they figure it out they figure it out.

I got to the Escape about 6:20 and there were about 12 people there already. I ordered dinner and got out my computer to pass the time till others showed up. Now I couldn’t connect to the internet turns out they were having wi-fi issues. Wow what to do now, well didn’t have to wait long and Debbie showed up so I had someone to talk with. It was nice to talk with her, I have talked with her before but always in a group setting so I really enjoyed our one on one talk as I learned more about her.

Now I didn’t really know how many from our group would be out tonight, With Pride going on this weekend I figured it would either be a big turnout as everyone was out or they would be tired and not show up so it could be small. either way it would be a busy night at the bar so it would be a fun night.

Jan and Lynn were the next to show up, They had been at the Pride Transgender parade today. Laura M. and Jenny also showed up so there were 6 of us and we were having a wonderful time talking. Missy and a couple of her friends also showed up, they had also been to Pride earlier today. Cassie and Lorie also showed up so we did have a big turn out tonight.

Now by 9 the bar was getting busy which I knew it would. all the tables were full and there were people standing, I think it was one of the biggest crowds I have seen here which made it so much fun but also got loud with everyone trying to talk over each other. Lories is new to coming out, I think this is her 3rd time out so she is still getting use to it but she always has a smile on her face so I know she is having fun. I remember when I first was going out and just being out put a smile on my face to. it was all so new and exciting. I didn’t get much of a chance to talk with her but I hope to get to know her better. It really was a fun night.

Karaoke started and it really got loud so talking kind of ended as you could really only talk with the person next to you. It was still fun to listen the the singing as some of them are really good. It really was a party atmosphere here tonight. I stayed till after 11 pm tonight before calling it a night. what a great night.

Update on Sunday I did go back to the gym and work out again for an hour so that makes two days in a row and I am a little sore now. Now the funny thing is I am already thinking about stopping one night on my way home from being out as Susan and working out a little as Susan. I think that would be fun but I think I need to get a little more in shape first so that maybe a month or two down the line.

Friday is here horary.

Another really busy week and no time for Susan so I was really looking forward to Friday night. I got home late again so it was right into the shower to start my transformation to Susan. I love the whole process and I immediately feel the stress go away and a calming relaxing feeling come over me. It really is therapeutic. I took a little over an hour getting ready. I was a happy girl and on my way, I got to Sweet Home right at 7 so just a little latter than normal. Chris and Roxy were already there. Chris was playing pool so I talked with him a little and Roxy for a bit before getting out my computer to catch up on a few things.

I ordered dinner, their special which was a country fried chicken breast. They really do have wonderful food here I have never had anything that wasn’t good but tonight’s dinner was awesome, it was so good. I ate dinner and we talked a little more. I wasn’t really busy till about 9 when the other group started to show up, they really are a fun group. Rikki and Shawn showed up and it was good to see them and get a chance to talk with them.

Angie was also here who I have gotten to know and we talked for a little bit. She wears corsets a lot of times and they always look so good on her. We got talking about corsets and I asked where she got them as I have been thinking about getting one. I got one at the clothing exchange and it doesn’t quite fit but I do like the way it makes me sit up straight as I tend to slouch some especially when I am sitting down, might help my posture. Plus it would help my waistline too till I can loose some weight. Any way she told me she gets her online from Corsetdeal.com. Since I had my computer we pulled up the web sight and she showed me some of the corsets. I am going to have to check this out and maybe order one. It was nice talking with her.

Soon it was 10 pm and time for Karaoke to start and Chris and Roxy both had to leave as they had things to do Saturday morning. I stayed and listened to some of the Karaoke. With the singing going on it gets loud and hard to talk any more but I did sing along with a few of the songs I knew.

I stayed till 11 before I paid my bill and called it a night. It was a fun and relaxing evening out. I said goodbye to some of my friends here on my way out. It was a wonderful way to start the weekend. Saturday night I will once again get to go out as Susan to the Escape, another chance to be Susan and be all pretty. It is amazing how wearing dresses, heels and makeup can make me feel so relaxed, calm and happy. Now I know this may not be for everyone but I would encourage everyone to find something that makes them this happy and do it on a regular basis as you really will feel better.

A fun Saturday for Susan.

I had big plans for Saturday, get my nails done in the morning then shopping maybe even Starbucks before going to the Escape tonight but didn’t work out that way. Something came up and my day was put on hold. Well I rushed as fast as I could to try and save some of the day. I got home at 2:30 and my first order of business was to call Dream nails and see if I could get in for a manicure as it has been 2 1/2 weeks and my nails were getting long and the gel polish was starting to to show signs of wear. Gel polish really does stand up well and last. Anna was able to get me in at 4:30 so I was looking forward to it. I started getting ready. The key was to dress casual enough for the nail salon but nice enough for a night out at the escape. I settled on my black skirt and a black and white knit top that I got at our clothing exchange. Now it only takes a couple minutes to get to the nail salon but as I was ready by 4:15 I went a head and left.

I got to the nail salon by 4:20 and went in. I was looking at the color wheels wishing I could wear some of the reds or pinks but when I am not Susan it just wouldn’t work. The lady next to me who had just got a pedicure her daughters treated her to asked if I was her for a pedicure I told her no just a manicure and told her I come every 2 to 3 weeks to get my nails done. I went back to looking at all the pretty colors girls get to wear. Now I usually get clear pink which is a clears with just the slightest pink tint but I have also gotten soft kiss which is more of a pale pink although on the color wheel the clear pink looks more pink. I decided I would get the soft kiss today.

Anna finished the lady she was doing and called me over and asked if I wanted clear pink and I told her no I was going with the soft kiss today. Anna started on my nails. put the finger tip applicators on my fingers to soften the gel polish to remove. One of the ladies getting a pedicure asked Anna what she was doing to my nails and she referred to me as her which made me feel good. Anna explained about the gel polish.

Now it was busy when I got there but only 1 other lady came in after me while I was there which for a Saturday surprised me. Now I am torn about going there when they are busy or slow. it really is more fun when there are a lot of woman there getting their nails done but when it is slow the nail techs take their time and are more social as they don’t have people waiting. They still do a great job ether way just more relaxing when it is slow.

Anna removed the old polish and pushed the cuticle back and asked about the length. Now I always tell her the same thing yes trim them back some. Now usually she uses nail trimmers and cuts them back pretty short of course by the time I come back to get them done they have grown out t a nice length. Any way she opened the drawer but instead of the nail trimmers she puled out a file and really just cleaned them up and filed off rough edges, really didn’t shorten them. Now I was torn as they really are long for a male but look great for a female. I decided to go with the length she had as I figured I can always file them shorter if I need to. I am still wondering why this time she didn’t cut them shorter maybe because I didn’t go with the clear color.

She finished that and was ready to put the polish on. now when she opened the bottle you could see the pink color this was more pink then the other one even though it didn’t look like it on the color wheel. She put a clear base coat on and then the soft kiss which she did 2 coats followed by a clear top coat. my nails did look great and yes they were a pale pink and very  shinny and they looked long. They were perfect and just the way I wanted them but wondering what I will do when I am not Susan.

Then  came the lotion and the hand and forearm massage. It was really relaxing and such a wonderful experience. Anna was talking with me and anther lady and as such it took her longer to do my nails but I was enjoying it. Anna thanked me for being so patient. I smiled and told her I was enjoying it I came here for the pampering, relaxing experience, if I just wanted my nails done I could have done them at home. She thanked me and me some come in and want their nails done perfect but as fast as they can. I can’t understand why you would go there to get your nails done if you wanted it that fast.

It was about 5:20 when I left there with my beautiful nails and decided I would just head to the Escape early as I did have my computer with me. As I was driving down the freeway I realized I forgot to put on perfume. I didn’t want to go back home but I really felt not right without it. I wear Fantasy by Britney Spears which I normally get at Wal-Mart. Someone told me they had seen it at Target and as there is one kind of on my way and I was early I decided to stop at Target and pick one up.

I got to Target and went in and found their perfume and they had 1 bottle on the shelf but they had a Britney Spears fantasy intimate edition and I am not sure if it is the same but it was a  buy 1 get 1 50% off so I bought both.

After that I was on my way to the Escape. I got there about 5:45 and went in. I ordered dinner and got out my computer to wait and see who all showed up. I knew Nicole, Cristine and probably Laura M. would be here tonight. It was a little before 7 when Nicole showed up and Michelle and Debbie shortly after. It was good to see them out. We all sat and talked for a while and soon others showed up. Britney, Cristine, Laura M. and I think her name was Jessica so we had a good turn out.

We had a great time talking and we talked about things in our lives in general. it is funny how as I get more at ease about going out I find my willingness to talk more openly about myself and the lines between my male and female sides are blurring. A few years ago this would not have happened but I have such great friends and I am willing to share more of my life than just the Susan part.

About 9:30 Karaoke started and it got hard to talk any more as it was so loud there. Nicole called it a night, it was sad to see her go but I really did enjoy her visit and it sounds like she will be back every month for a while which is great. I think her next visit will be on a Harvey’s weekend.

A little later new girl showed up, I think her name was Lorie and this was her second time here. It was great to meat her and get t know her. The whole night she had a smile on her face so I knew she was having a good time and it took me back to when I was first going out and I was just so happy to just be out as Susan. Misty also showed up and then Laura H. and Lisa so we had a really good turnout tonight and I enjoyed talking with all of them.

It is amazing how fast the afternoon and evening went by and soon it was 11:30. I had to get up early tomorrow so I had to call it a night. It was sad to say goodnight but I will see them again next week.

Sunday morning I got up with my beautiful nails and new I had to put the mat nail polish on them as they were just too shinny for a gut at least as long as they were. for some reason shinny nails look longer I think. Well it turns out I am almost out out the mat nail polish, I was barely able to do my nails so I will have to get more. Now the funny thing is the mat polish makes my nails look shorter but I think it brings out the pink color more. It will be interesting at work this week. As long as they are now, about 1/8 inch if I don’t file the down I am guessing by the next time I go to the salon they will be 1/4 or more. I don’t think I can pull that length off in my male life.

Friday evening at Sweet Home

Another long and busy week for my male side. It wasn’t till 4:30 today I even new I would be able to go out tonight, I was so happy I would get my Susan time. One of my friends from up North is in town this weekend and it will be great to talk with her again. I got home a little after 5 and started getting ready. I didn’t spend as long as I like getting ready as I wanted to get out as early as I could. I was ready and on my way by 6:20. I went inside Sweet Home and Chris and Roxy were there, Chris was excited as he bought a new motorcycle and will pick it up tomorrow. He has pictures of it on his Facebook page.

I got out my computer and started reading some of the news, okay I am going to get on my political box here so feel free to skip to the next paragraph. This is not about what party you belong to I don’t care about that it is about the media and how they present political information. Now if you have your own show you can be as bias as you want as the people watching tat show are watching you. if it is the regular local or national new they have a duty to be fair and impartial and that also goes for news papers aside from the editorial section but this is not happening. I feel strong about freedom of speech and it doesn’t matter if I agree with you or not. these news agencies have a duty to the people to be fair and impartial. Facebook had an issue a couple weeks back claiming they were slanting their news feed to the left, I don’t know if it is true or not but I now don’t use there news feed as I want all sides of the story. it just came back today the Google may be doing the same thing, here is a video on it, I tested it and what they say is true. This is saddening as we look to the internet for answers not what someone wants to tell us, remember just because it is on the internet does not make it true. As such I will still use Google for some things but if I am looking for news stories I will use Bing or Yahoo. I don’t care who you vote for I just ask that you make your vote based on true and complete information.

Now back to our normal program. I ordered dinner and talked with Chris and Roxy. It was about 7:30 when Nicole arrived, she had on a really pretty dress. It was good to see here again, she has been on vacation and is now on her way home but spending the weekend I Portland. She was down in the Bay Area for a few days and actually got to spend a few days completely as Nicole. She even stopped by Dream Nails and got a pedicure on Monday on her way through town. This is the nail salon I have been going to now for a year in a half. Nicole has gone here twice no for pedicures but as her male self.

It was fun to talk with Nicole about her trip and the time she spent, she did go shopping which is always more fun as a girl. I told her about a few of my first times out and times I have vacationed as Susan. It is so nice to reminisce about these things, I think that is why I have a blog so I can go back and see the things I have done, places I have gone and the feelings I had at those points in my life. It really is amazing how much I have grown as Susan over the last 5 to 10 years. I would encourage everyone to keep some kind of diary or record about you life experiences.

It was about 9:30 when it started to get busy and other people showed up. The other group that comes here was a little smaller this week but still good to see some of my friends from that group, Rikki, Mareinna, and Angie. Sweet Home really is a friendly place to go for an evening. It was about 10 when Karaoke started and Nicole called it a night. It was sad to see her go but I will see her again tomorrow night at the Escape and we will talk some more.

Chris and I stayed longer and Chris sang Karaoke. it was a fun night and I think it was about 11:30 when I called it a night. Now I am looking forward to Saturday. I will be at the Escape for sure but want to try and get a manicure if I can as my nails are getting pretty long and if I don’t go Saturday the only day next week will probably be Wednesday.

Saturday night at Harvey’s

It is a really hot Saturday upper 90’s and after being outside all day I was really looking forward to tonight. Our group is making its monthly night out to Harvey’s Comedy club. This really is one of our most fun outings. It would be so nice to be in an air-conditioned place on a hot evening watching really good comedy. I started getting ready with the hope of being downtown Portland by 6. Portland has Rose Festival going on now and tonight is the Starlight Parade which starts at 8:30 so I figured by 7 parking would be hard to find.

It took a little longer getting ready as I wanted to take my time and look my best, I really do enjoy the whole process of transforming into Susan. It is such a relaxing feeling. I actually got downtown at 6:15 and found a parking spot a half block from Fox & Hounds. Now we only had 7 going tonight and I figures 4 would go straight to Harvey’s. I had my computer to keep me busy till others showed up. I got out of my car and the heat hit me, wow it was hot out. As Susan I am not a fan of really hot weather as I hate sweating as a girl as I am worried about my makeup. I did use a water proof mascara just incase.

Now I just had to wait for others to show up. The only one I new for sure would meet me at Fox & Hounds was Melissa, she is one of our new members and this would be her first time going out. Melissa e-mailed me she was on her way so I knew she would show up. It was about 7:30 when she got there. Melissa looked really nice and if she was nervous or scared you couldn’t tell it. I remember how I was the first few times I went out.

It was nice to meet her and she seems really nice. We spent the next 45 minutes talking and getting to know each other. She has been dressing for years and now wants to start going out. It is funny how so many of us progress this way. I use to love dressing at home and now when I am Susan I want to go out, I can’t remember the last time I was Susan and just stayed home. Turns out her wife also knows and is supportive, hopefully she will coke out with her and meet a couple of the other wives and girlfriends. No one else showed up so at 8:20 we left and walked over to Harvey’s. It was still hot out guessing close to 90 but it was a nice walk and we talked more as we walked. By the time we got to Harvey’s we were both warm so it was nice to get back inside where they had A/C.

We were the first t arrive at Harvey’s so we got a table to wait. Cristine texted me her bus had over heated and she was waiting for another, turns out the another bus didn’t get there till almost 10 so she just went back home. Jan, Lynn and Sophia showed up and I introduced them to Melissa. Michelle and her friend also showed up so we did have 7 tonight. Not as big of a turnout as I had hoped but still good. Star our favorite bar tender got us all drinks and it was good to see her and we sat and talked as we waited for the late show.

It started to get busy and soon it was time to go in. it was a smaller crowd tonight but I think with the parade and the heat it may have kept people away. Kim came over and talked with us, I always look forward to seeing her. We all ordered food and soon the show started. It was really good tonight. All 3 of the comedians were really good. What better way to spend an evening then laughing and having fun. It was a great night.

After the show we got to talk with Kim a little before we left and of course she had hugs for all of us. It was a wonderful night. It was still in the low 80’s out so it was a warn nice evening outside. Melissa and I walked back to where we had parked. I think Melissa had a good time and I am sure she will be going out with the group again.

Friday and it is going to be a hot weekend out

Friday is here and I am looking forward to my night out even though the temperature this weekend is going to be hot. today it is almost 90 and the next couple days it will be close to 100 which for where I live is really hot. I started getting ready early as I really wanted to enjoy my relaxing time after a long and busy week. It is funny how relaxed I am when I start the transformation from male to female. I spent a little time picking out my outfit tonight as the other group is celebrating a few birthdays including Rikki and Alexis who I have come to know and like. anyway they are doing a formal night. I really don’t have any formal wear but I did pick out a nice dress I got at the clothing exchange a few weeks ago

I was all ready by 6, I opened the door to my garage and the heat hit me. I knew it would be hot tonight at Sweet Home as even though they have A/C with all those people in a small place it wouldn’t help much. I got to sweet home and found a parking spot close to the door but still had to leave the air-conditioned car and walk across the parking lot. it is funny as a guy I don’t mind the heat so much but Susan hates to sweat as it makes my makeup feel funny and I am sure doesn’t help the look. I got inside and it was a little busy. Chris and Roxy had just left before I got there as they were going to a concert, I knew there would be a good chance I would be here by myself but I really wanted to come and help celebrate Rikki and Alexis birthday. There was a table open with a coup;e empty drinks on it and Paul came over and cleaned it so I could sit down well it turned out it wasn’t empty as the two guys that had been sitting there were over at the jukebox Any way I was going to move but they said I could share the table with them so I did. They were both really nice and I have seen them here before and met them.

I did some stuff on my computer and also talked with them some, George who was sitting next to me was really nice and after his friend left we had a nice conversation. One of our new members to our group had e-mailed me about tonight as the Yahoo calendar in our group usually sends out events a few times and has different times and dates, we think it has to do with the different time zones but can’t seem to get it to fix and work right. one of the reasons we are planning on doing our own web page for the group. Well I replied back to her it was in fact tonight for Sweet Home and I was there. She showed up just a little later in boy mode as she wanted to get out and meet someone from the group.

Her name is Robbie and she seemed really nice. She joined me and George and we sat and talked for a couple hours. She had some questions as it is always daunting when you are just starting out. I can remember when I first went out for the first few times I was so scared and really didn’t know what to do, how to act, where to go, dress or do makeup. Luckily I met a few girls, Alice, Cassandra and Linda who talked with me and made me feel welcome and gave me some advice and that made all the difference so I was happy to answer any questions Robbie had. I have said this many times in my blog, feel free to ask me anything if you are doing it because you don’t know or understand and want to. As long as the questions are sincere and not to make fun of transgender people I will do my best to answer them of course it will be from my opinion and views.

It was really god to get to know Robbie and of course George and was awesome to have someone there to talk with instead of sitting alone. As it got later more people showed up and of course a lot of the people from the other group who I have gotten to know and think of as friends. Craig, Heather, Jodi, Alexis, Angie, Michelle Rikkie, Mareinna and a few others so I really wouldn’t have been alone here tonight.

Now being a formal night there were really some beautiful dresses, all the woman looked so awesome which they always do but there is something about a women in a dress that just ads that little extra. I actually felt underdressed tonight. Now Heather had on this beautiful light blue dress that looked great and Alexis, Michelle and Angie had on beautiful black dresses but my favorite dress was the one Korina wore, a floor length red dress, yes I love the color red. One reason I love going to the red dress party. She looked awesome as did all the ladies here f tonight. It really was more like an outing after a prom. now some of the men wore formal attire but a lot didn’t as I think with the heat it is a lot harder for a man to dress formal. woman can have bare arms and shoulders in a formal outfit but for men it usually means a suit and tie or a tuxedo. woman really are luckier with what they can wear.

It was an awesome night. About 10:30 Chris and Roxy showed up after their concert so it was good to see them. it was really busy by this time and loud so it was hard to talk any more. Robbie thanked me and said she had to leave, I really hope she can come out more as she seems really nice. I hug out till a little after 11 when I paid my bill and called it a night. It really was a fun time and something I really enjoy.

Now I am looking forward to Saturday night and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club. it will again be a hot evening out but should be really busy downtown with Rose Festival going on and the Starlight parade.
