Sunday Susan time and shopping

It is Sunday and as I have not gotten out much this month yet I wanted some more Susan time and I also needed to write my blog from Saturday night at the Escape so I figured a little Starbucks time. I also need to pick some things up at the store so that will also be on my list. it was a little after 3 when I started getting ready and I was out the door and at the Starbuck’s by my house by 4:15. A quick selfie in the car before I went in. They were not busy and I was able to get a table along the window, I like these tables as I can plug my computer in but also it is more in the middle and very visible not like I am hiding in a corner. I put my computer on the table and went and got in line to order my drink. Now the staff here all knows me pretty well as I do come here a lot for my personal Susan time. The young man behind the counter welcomed me back by name before I even ordered or paid so he remembered not only me but my name which makes you feel wonderful. I got my drink and sat down and wrote my blog from Saturday night at the Escape.

It really is a relaxing way to spend a couple hours, just sitting at Starbuck’s as Susan with a drink, sweetened green tea and working on my blog, e-mail or even work. It just feels so perfectly normal and I really don’t even think about how I am dressed other then seeing my nails or the long hair out of the corner of my eye. I am just here as myself and today that is Susan. I stayed here till a little after 6 before I headed for Walmart to do some shopping. It is really nothing for Susan well just everyday things I need and some food so I guess it could be for Susan also depending on when I eat it or use it. It is funny as years ago I would go shopping for Susan’s stuff as my male self. Then I started shopping for Susan as Susan and now I do shopping for my male self as Susan so I guess I have come full circle. I really have grown over the last 10 plus years.

I left Starbucks about 6:30 and went to Walmart to do some shopping, it was fun just walking around just ding my day to day shopping and really didn’t think much about how I was dressed. I got my groceries and left and stopped by Panda Express and got some dinner to go and headed home. it was a short and relaxing time out.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Thursday Susan time and some shopping

Well it is Thursday and it turns out I have today off as I have to work this weekend so I figured I would get some Susan time in. now there are some things I needed to do and I figured why not do them as Susan. now I need to go to Costco as I am running out of some things so that was on my list as well as a stop at Walmart to get some Susan stuff, makeup, I need some mascara, face powder, lipstick and a few other things. I got up at 7:30 to get ready and take my time preparing for the day. I did my makeup pretty light as I wanted to blend in the best I could although I did do the false eye lashes. I am getting better at them but I need to have time when I do them in case I mess up, at least till I get better. I was ready by 9 am and yes, I think I did my best job on my false eye lashed today. It is only the 3rd of 4th time I have done them but they look great and I really can’t even tell I have them on so I must have got them on right.

The plan today is Costco, Walmart and a visit to the Cemetery to put flowers on my Dads grave. Now this means going down towards the south east side of Portland so I figured I would go to the Costco on Airport way and as it was still before 10, I decided the Walmart I would go to is the one by Troutdale so that was where I headed for first. I got to Walmart and it was still cold out so I wore my coat and went in. Now as I said I needed several things for Susan, some Q-tips, Baby Oil as I am used the last of mine last night to remove my lip stick, I use Maybelline Lip Ink and you have to have baby oil to get it off. So, as I put it on this morning, I knew I had to come home with baby oil today. Also needed some face powder, more of the lip ink as I am just about out of my favorite color, and also some perfume as I am almost out of that. The perfume I like is called Fantasy by Brittny Spears. I originally bought this one because it was pink and cute but I really like the scent. Last was some mascara, I try to replace mine every 6 months at the most as I don’t like putting things that are old that close to my eyes the problem is, I never really run out of mascara as I don’t use it that fast. It was just before 10 when I left here and headed back to Costco.

I got to Costco about 10:15 and went in. I have a Susan Costco card as they let me ad my female self to my account. I grabbed a cart and started shopping. Mostly just stuff I needed for the house, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, fabric softener, batteries, dove bar soap, and I think there were a couple other things I picked up oh and some flowers for the Cemetery. Then it was up to stand in line. now this Costco has a self-checkout and the lines are way shorter there so that is where I went. As busy as they were no one seemed to pay any attention to me. I loaded my stuff in the car and then went to get some gas as long as I was here of course the line for gas took longer then the line in the store. I did get a quick selfie in the car as I waited. After I got gas it was off to the Cemetery.

I got to the Cemetery a little after 11 and there was a big funeral today so lost of traffic so it took me a little while to get to where my Dad is. Now this is where they seemed to be working, there was 5 men in this section prepping a whole, a couple working on replacing the temporary markers with head stones and probably 5 men weeding and trimming the bushes around the edge. They were all at least 30 feet from where I was but I did wonder if they noticed me, I don’t think from that distance they would have figured it out that I was not female. I placed the flowers and stayed there probably 20 minutes. I can’t explain it but I just feel better about going here as Susan even though my Dad never knew about this side of my life.

From the Cemetery I headed back for home, as I got close, I realized it was almost moon so I stopped at Wendy’s for lunch, they were actually pretty busy but mostly woman here, some with children but a couple groups of 4 or 5 woman out for lunch. I got my food and sat where I could watch the news on TV as I ate. Now I have till about 3 today before I have to be home so I still had a few hours so I left and went to the Starbucks I go to near my house. I got there about 12:40 so I still had 2 ½ hours.

I went in and they were pretty busy, I couldn’t get one of the tables along the window as a matter of fact the only table open was in the front corner so that is where I set up my computer to relax and write my blogs and catch up on e-mails and some work. I wrote my blog from Wednesday night’s dinner and started on this blog also while it was fresh in my mind. I stayed here till 3 before heading for home as I have to be someplace by 4 and I need time to get home and wash away all traces of Susan.

It was a really fun and relaxing day and I got a lot of stuff I had to done and the best part I did them as Susan. it is funny as 15 years ago I would go out as my male self to get things for Susan and now I go out as Susan to get things my male self needs. Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Wednesday and a little shopping and dinner at Amaro’s table

Well today is Wednesday and I actually have the whole day to be Susan. my plan was to do a little shopping and I was going to Washington Square. Now I got up today and got ready, taking my time as I plan on being out all day and then going to Dinner tonight. The perfect test for the Setting spray bought yesterday. I have never used one so it will be a good test. My goal was to leave home by 9:30 but I was a little late as at the last minute I decided to wear my corset to give me a good figure, I also decided to wear my darker hair. If I can get my makeup just right, I think it looks good on me. It was about 9:45 when I left home and for some reason it was still like rush hour traffic. I didn’t get to Washington Square till about 10:30. I parked by Nordstrom’s and went in, of course I got a quick selfie. Now Washington Square is smaller than Clackamas Town Center but you don’t realize till you go to one right after the other. I went down to Macy’s and looked at some of their clothes I found a dress I liked but it was too small. I also looked at Shoes here.

I then walked down to JC Penny’s and looked around; they also had a huge closeout section up to 60% off. Also checked out their shoe department but didn’t find anything. I walked through the mall and checked out a few other stores including Victoria’s Secret, I love looking around this store and it was actually one of the busier stores in the mall. I walked through the food court as it was lunch time but I really wasn’t hungry, could be because of the corset I am wearing. So back down to the mall and walked around a little more and then I went into Dick’s Sporting Good. I looked around a little before going back into the mall and back to my car it was a little after 1 when I left and headed for home well at least closer to home. This mall is the farthest from where I live and I have to go on 3 different freeways and all can back up during rush hour so I didn’t want to chance it. It took me about 45 minutes to get back close to home so I decided to go to a Starbucks by Vancouver Mall as I didn’t want to go to the one, I normally go to as I had different hair on today and they have only seen my in one hair style.

It was just about 2 pm when I got to the Starbucks I picked and went in. they were a little busy mostly to go orders as this one does not have a drive through. I got a table by the window and ordered a drink and a cookie. I checked my e-mails and answered some and then just caught up on some news and pretty much just killing some time and people watching. Starbucks is a wonderful place to go for a couple hours and just relax. Now as I said I was people watching and I noticed a man probably in his 40’s on a cell phone waiting for his drink. He had slightly greying hair and a mustache but he also had a beautiful set of acrylic nails and they alternated between green and red and each one had a design on them and they were probably ¼ inch long. Now I know a couple of the girls in our group have acrylic nails, Jan and Kimberly and they are keeping them even in their male modes but the fact this man had a mustache I don’t think he dresses so I found that interesting. He got his drink and was gone. I stayed here till a little after 4 before heading for home to get cleaned up and go meet my friends for dinner. It was about 4:30 when I got home.

Now I thought about taking the corset off but really it is pretty comfortable other than limiting how you move so I decided to keep it on and see how I feel tonight as by the time I get home from dinner I will have had it on for about 12 hours. Now I wanted to change my shoes to heels, put a skirt on and pantyhose instead of the leggings I wore today so that was a little work. It is a lot harder to do these things when you really can’t bend over much and when you bend as much as you can you can’t breathe so it took a little time and effort. Once that was done, I touched up my makeup which held up pretty well, maybe that setting spray does work, Thanks Karen for the tip. Next came my normal hair well at least the one I wear to Starbucks as it was only 5:15 now and I had 2 choices. Sit at home till 6:30 before going to dinner or going to my Starbucks for about an hour and you guess which one won out. it was about 5:300 when I got to Starbucks and went in. I got my table along the window and something to drink and started on my blog from today. I stayed here till 6:30 before heading to meet my friends for dinner.

I got to Amaro’s table about 6:45, parked and went in, Melissa and Karen were already there so I joined them and waited for the others to show up. we had 6 say they would be here tonight. I did get another quick selfie. By the way this is my makeup I put on at 9 am this morning, the only thing I did was a little face powder to cut the shine down. My makeup held up really well. By 7 Kimberly had shown up with her wife and Barb also made it so all 6 of us were here tonight. It was good to see everyone. We talked for a little bit before we ordered dinner. Now our waiter was awesome tonight but every time we have come here the staff has been wonderful. I ordered my normal classic fried chicken which is wonderful.

We had a wonderful dinner and great conversation, we sat and talked for a good 30 minutes after we finished eating. It was a wonderful night. it was about 9:15 when we called it a night. Karen wanted a few pictures so I took a couple of her outside on the side walk and she looked awesome. She also took a few pictures of me. Now Barb has an electric car so she parked over at the PUD to charge her car and walked the 12 blocks to Amaro’s so I gave her a ride back to her car so we could plan tomorrow. Barb and I are going shopping and to lunch. She gave me her address and I am going to pick her up so we can ride together, it will be a fun day. I got home just before 10 so I have worn my corset for over 12 hours and I will admit I was ready to take it off, the last hour was ruff. I think 10 hours is about the max I can wear it comfortably.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my newest blog to see what is new in my life.

Sunday quiet time at Starbucks

Okay it is Sunday and I am gong to get some Susan time at Starbucks. One of my goals for this year is to go out at least 136 times (136 blogs) as that would be my best year 2016 of 135. That means I need to average 11 times per month but more then that I really do enjoy my time at Starbucks. There are things I need to get done on my computer and it is fun to do them as Susan, plus it is just more fun to blog about Susan when I am out as Susan. now with that I am already planning my next vacation. I an taking the first week of February off as I have vacation time I need to use and I have some things I need to take care of mostly around the house. I won’t be able to get my nails done but my hope is to get out a little each day and maybe get a couple of full days in.

Well I have about 3 hours of work I need to do and I do need to write my Blog from last night at the Escape and maybe start this blog so I figure I need 4 to 5 hours at Starbucks. I often wonder what they think when they see me sitting here by myself for that long but I have seen other people here by themselves for long periods of time but I think they are students studding. Well I started getting ready about 2:30 with the hopes of being to Starbucks by 3:30, they close at 8:30 and that would give me 5 hours. I was pretty close as I got to Starbucks about 3:50 and went in. they were a little busy, all the tables along the window were taken, I like them as I can plug my computer in and if I am going to be here almost 5 hours I will need to. well I set my computer on one of the middle tables and went up to order my drink. The girls all said hi and the young man ho waited on me remembered my name and asked me how I have been so chatted with him for a few minutes before I ordered as there was no one in line behind me. Well this worked out great s by the time I got my drink and was walking back to my table the lady at one of the tables by the window left so I just sat my drink on tat table and then went and got my computer and moved it over. Starbucks really is a good place to go and people watch and most people here are busy either working / doing school work, reading or involved in a conversation with someone and really pay no attention to people around them. If you are looking for a place to go this is a great place.

Now to break it up I spent the first hour doing some of my work and then I switched over to write my blog from last night. it is so much more fun doing my blog as Susan as I feel more like I am writing about myself, Susan writing about Susan not my male self, writing about Susan. that may sound strange but it makes total sense to me. Well after I finished my blog I went up and got a hot chocolate and a cookie. Well the young man at the counter got talking to me again and he asked what I do here, if I was working, or just chilling out as he put it. I told him a little of both, I just found it less distraction here as if I was at home, I would have the TV on and he understood that as he does online classes and he knows how easy it is to get distracted. I actually thought about telling him I write my blog here but didn’t. I really think they all think I am full time as I only come here as Susan and for right now I want to keep it that way, I don’t think it would matter or that they would treat mem different but Starbucks is my Susan place and I want to keep that. With my blog done and posted it was back to do some work. I actually do get more done here in a shorter time as there really are less distraction.

It really does bring normalcy to my life as Susan, now I am not saying being Susan is not normal but for years I hid in my room never even imagining I could go out side as Susan. by coming to Starbucks as Susan and doing some work that my male self would normally do and being here where others are doing kind of the same thing it just reinforces the feeling that Susan is more than just something I do on the side for fun, she is a functioning part of my life and actually contributes to who I am. Again, this makes sense to me. Plus, when Susan buys things it is kind of like she earned some of the money she spends. 2 years ago, I started tracking what Susan Spends in Quicken (yes, I use Quickens) and I also put in money she gets as we have gotten a few small checks from the State of Oregon from the law suit back in 2012 with the Pclub. I don’t think what they have collected so far has even kept up with the interest they are charging Chris Penner but I figured I would keep track and if you are wondering my male self is generous as in the last 2 years Susan has spent more money on herself then my male self. Got a little sidetracked there but I really do think being out as Susan and actually doing some of my work has really helped me embrace this side of me.

I finished my work about 7 and tool a little time to start my blog for today at Starbucks of course I will have to finish it later after I get home but I wanted to write what I could as Susan. if I can get most of it written here I can finish it up quickly when I get home and as I will stop for something to eat it will be almost 9 when I get home and as I get up early for work I need to be in bed by 10 or shortly after. I was trying to think when I first went to a Starbucks without going through all my blogs the best guess is the summer of 2009, I made my first trip to Starbucks. Back then I spent an over an hour getting ready, drove 30 minutes to a Starbucks 15 miles away, spent an hour or so there and then 30 minutes home and cleanup time. Now I go to a Starbucks less than a mile from my house, wow how things have changed. Now toward the end a man came in and at first, I thought I saw him take a picture of me so I was kind of watching him. Well it turns out he was taking pictures all over the inside and walking back into the back room and taking notes. I am thinking they might be planning a remodel inside but either way I am sure I am in some of the pictures he took.

It was about 8 when I left Starbucks and I just went home to get something to eat. It was a fun outing. Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Sunday and finally a chance for a little Susan time at Starbucks.

It is Sunday and I am going to get a little Susan time at Starbucks. This is one of my goals for this year as I really do enjoy my quiet time at Starbucks, I can go there and do some of my work and also catch up on my blogs and e-mails. Yes, I could sit at home and do it just as easy but it is nice to be out as Susan with other people. It is a place you can go and no one really cares or bothers you as there are a lot of people who go her by themselves with their computers. Well I have a couple hours of work I need to do and to write my blog from last night at the Escape and also catch up on e-mails so I figured I needed about 4 hours. The one I usually go to is open to 8:30 not the closest to my house but less then a mile away. My goal was to get there by 4.

I started getting ready about 2:30 and was on my way and got to Starbucks about 3:45 and went in. They were not super busy about 15 people inside but there was a table along the window where I could plug my computer in which is nice if I am going to be here for a while as my computer is getting old and my battery only last about 2 ½ hours now. I set my computer on the table and went up to order my drink. The young man behind the counter greeted me and asked how my holiday was calling me by name which is nice as it has been a couple months since I have been here. We talked briefly before I ordered, it is just a really good feeling to be treated so nice, really all the people here are great and for that matter I don’t think I have ever been to a Starbucks where I wasn’t treated nice. Maybe that is one of the reasons I like going here. Starbucks was really the first mainstream (non-LGBT) place I went and I think that may be why I like coming here so much. My selfie in the car before going in.

I got my drink and started on my work. Now I have not come out to anyone I work with about this part of my life but it is nice I can actually do some of my work as Susan and that helps make Susan part of my everyday life not just a side note in my life. It really does help make Susan a normal part of my life plus it brings a smile to my face as I wonder what work would think if they knew. Now our group has had a lot of discussion lately about coming out to people and I will give my thoughts on it. For me I look at it this way, I am not transitioning and Susan is just part of who I am and so I don’t feel the need to tell everyone. I figure if I am not going to be Susan at work they don’t need to know. Kind of like I don’t talk golf with my friends who don’t like golf. Now I will admit I have thought about what some of my friends would say and there are a few I have thought about telling but I just don’t see the benefit of telling them and risking a friendship. Now I know what some will say, if they are really your friend, they will accept you but I look at it like politics. I have some very liberal friends and some very conservative friends. I respect their views and as such we don’t talk politics. For me this falls into the same category. That being said this is how I feel and what is right for me it does not mean that everyone hast to feel the same as we are all different. Now if you are transitioning then yes, I feel you should tell others or if you are in a relationship with someone, they have the right to know as your life and theirs intertwine. Now I did not tell any of the women I was in a relationship with but back then I had convinced myself I could stop for the right woman. I know now that is not true so yes if or when I get in m my next relationship Susan will have to come up which is very scary.

Anyway, back to our group, one of our girls who is heading in the way of transitioning had as her goal to come out to her Mother in 2019. Well she worked on it, talked with others, got information from them when they came out. Had all kinds of information, and talking points for all the possible arguments and was working up the courage. Well about 1 ½ weeks before Christmas she went over to her mom’s house to come out to her. she said it was the hardest think she had done. Well she came out to her mom and was ready with all her talking points and what actually happened was her mom told her she loved her and accepted her for who she was. well a week later she did the same thing with her sister and got pretty much the same reaction. So, she posted this in our group and several of the girls have posted back about their experiences coming out. It really did bring out a lot of good discussion and that is great. I really thank her for being so open about her experience. Our group is such a wonderful group and we have members who have fully transitioned and live full time to those who are struggling to take that first step out the door and every place in between and I hope this can help some. I know a lot of girls think they can never make it out and they see others making it look so easy and that may make it harder but trust me we were all there that first time. I wrote a blog several months back about my first attempt to go out and how hard it was for me, actually took me 4 times going out to get out of the car. If you are interested here is the blog of my first timeout. I look back on those nights and now how I travel as Susan to Diva Las Vegas and live as Susan for almost two weeks at a time and it seems those are to different people but they are not.

The best advice I can give is there is nothing wrong with you if you are transgender. It is who you are. Try and find some friends even if just online but if you can find some friends to go out with you have hot the lottery. The friends I have made in our group are my best and closest friends and some I view more as family. They have changed my life in ways I never imagined possible and I would not be the person (lady and man) I am now without them. We are all different but also the same in some ways.

Well I stayed at Starbucks till about 7:30 before leaving and stopping at Burger King drive through for some food before going home. it was a fun few hours and I got a lot done. Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new and remember Diva Las Vegas is March 29t to April 4th. If interested sign up for their mailer. Hope to see you there. We will have at least 4 from our Portland group going but I am hopeful we will have closer to 10 or more.

Thursday and some early Susan time

Well it is Thursday and I had a wonderful time yesterday at the Oregon Coast with my friends. It was a full day of Susan. today I have things I have to do later in the afternoon and so I wanted to start my day early to get as much Susan time as possible. My goal was to do what I did Monday Morning as my male self. I got up at 5 am yes 5 am to start getting ready. Today I am wearing my leggings and my maroon sweater top that looks really cute although as it is tighter, I need a better figure then I really have so that means wearing my corset. Now with my long nails it was a little harder to lace it up the back and it put me a little behind but I have a figure that looks great. My goal was to be out the door by 6 which I didn’t make as it was about 6:15 when I left. My first stop was IHOP at Cascade station for breakfast. I went here on Monday as my male self with my acrylic nails and wondered if they would recognize me. Now with traffic I got there a little after 7 and went in. they were not busy maybe 10 other people spread around. The lady came and showed me to a table and was really nice but I didn’t see either of the two ladies that were here on Monday. I ordered the same thing I had Monday and waited for my food. I had a nice breakfast and then left a little before 8 and drove down the street to the Starbuck’s. I have gone to this one many times as Susan but again on Monday I was here as my male self for a couple hours.

I parked and went in and they were busy but there was one table by the door so I set my computer on it and went and stood in line. now looking at the workers at least 4 of them were here on Monday including the young lady who would take my order. I chatted with her as she took my order but I don’t think she recognized me after all this Starbucks is really busy and as my male self, I really didn’t stand out from any one else other then for my nails. Now I had to wait for my drink and again they had 3 people making drinks and 2 of them were here on Monday. The lady who called my name for my drink was also the one who made my drink on Monday and the same thing I don’t think she knew either like I say they are really busy. I went and sat down at my table which has 4 chairs and was next to the big table I was at on Monday. It is amazing how busy this Starbucks is on a week day morning. All the tables were full inside yes, I had a man ask if he could sit at my table and I said yes and most of the tables outside were full. Again, a nice day out sunny but mid 50’s so a little cool but that didn’t stop people from sitting outside. Most of the time there was 10 or more n line to order and probably just as many waiting for their drinks. It is a good place to people watch.

Well the first thing I did was write my blog from yesterdays trip to the Oregon Coast, we had a wonderful day and got lots of pictures so be sure and check out my blog from yesterday. I stayed here a couple hours taking care of some work I also needed to do on my computer and as it was busy people would come and go and I had a few more people ask if they could share my table and none of them seemed the least bit bothered by me or even curious as they never said a thing although a few times we did talk mostly about how busy it was here. It was a little after 10 when I left as I wanted to do a little shopping. I actually like Cascade station for shopping as they have a nice mix of stores and today with the weather it was perfect as it is an outside mall. I went over and parked by Staples and went in and looked around, I like looking at computer stuff after all my current laptop is at least 5 years old and my desktop even older so at some point I will need to get a newer one but right now they both work well.

I left Staples and walked next door to ULTA and looked around, I did pick up some face powder as I am almost out but it was fun to look at all the different makeup. From here I went next door to Nordstrom’s Rack and looked around. A lot of girls say this is a great place to shop but as much as I like it, I don’t think I have ever found something in my size I liked, but I would have to go back through all my blogs to find out for sure. From here it was down to DSW to look at shoes. Didn’t find anything here either so it was next door to Ross Dress for Less, I really like this one and have found a lot of things here but not today. I found 2 really cute dresses but they were just too small for me. From here I walked all the way to the end to best Buy and looked around checking out all their electronics. When I was done here, I had to walk all the way back down to my car just like all the other people here shopping.

I left Cascade station and it was about 12:30 so I drove down to COSTCO as I needed to pick some things up. Of course, COSTCO is busy anytime you go there. Now what is cool is I have a Susan COSCO card. I joined a couple years ago and I saw that you could have a card for another person at your address but the drawback was they had to show ID. Well about a month after I joined, I went in one night as Susan and talked to them and explained about being transgender and I live part of my life this way. Well they gave me a card with Susan’s name and picture on it and listed her and my domestic partner. So, I looked around for a little while and then went and got what I needed, shampoo, conditioner and dove bar soap. On the way out I stopped and got a hotdog and drink, $1.50 you can’t go wrong. And I sat down at the tables with all the other people and ate it. On my way out I also got some gas for my car. It was about 1:45 when I left here and headed back closer to home.

Now at 6 I have some online training I have to do and yes this is more like a chat room, it has video so I will have to be my male self so I figure I have to be home no later then 5:30 at the latest so I can clean up and remove all traces of Susan well accept for the nails of course. I will have to make sure I keep my hands on the keyboard and not reach up and scratch my face. Well I thought about what I could do so I decided to go to Starbuck’s for till about 4 then go get something to eat and be sure and be home by 5. Being a nice day, I thought it would be nice to sit outside so I wanted to find a Starbuck’s that faces the west as I might be chilly if you are not in the sunshine so I decided to go to the Starbucks by Vancouver mall. I went to this one before and it also has no drive through so it can get busy. I got there a little after 2 but they had no outside tables so I went ahead and went inside. I got a table right in front of the window as they were busy but the biggest group was at the big long table, it seats 16 and there was only 1 open chair and it was filled with men that were probably all in their late 60’s or older. I guess this is where all the retired men come. I got my drink and sat down and started on this blog. Again, it was a steady stream of people coming in to get drinks but most left.

It was a little after 4 when I left to go get something to eat, now I wasn’t really hungry but I needed something. I stopped at Panda Express and got something to eat. I was right on time as I got home right at 5 so I had an hour to clean up. by the way I was ready to be done as I have worn my corset for 11 hours and although it is really pretty comfortable 11 hours is a long time. Tomorrow is Friday and I have most of the day to be Susan, some things I have to do in the morning but I am hoping to be able to go out by 10 or 11 as Susan. I am not sure what I will do but the big decision is my nails. I either have to get them removed tomorrow night or if I wait and do it on Saturday morning but would probably have to go as my male self. I have to be someplace at noon and it will take me almost an hour to get there and the nail salons don’t open till 10 so I would not have time to go as Susan and then get home and change before I go. In a way it does sound fun to go in as my male self and see what they think. Well I will make that decision tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what I am doing next.

Monday blog my day out both as male and female with acrylic nails

I got up early and worked out as I want to get back into that. It was about 6am and I did have to do something as my male self after 9 so I couldn’t dress till then but I wanted to see what would happen if people saw my pretty nails as a male so I went to Cascade station by the airport and decided to stop at IHOP for breakfast. They weren’t busy at that time of the morning. Now I am sure both the waitress who took my order and the one who brought it saw my nails as I was not trying to hide them and they said nothing. I am thinking of going back here later in the week as Susan for breakfast now. From there I went to the Starbucks and did some work I have been putting off on my computer. Now I got to the Starbucks a little after 7 and they were not busy at all maybe 6 people all on computers so the only table by a plug in was the big corner table that sits 6 so that was where I put my computer and went and ordered a hot chocolate. Now about 7:30 it was like the flood gates opened and people started coming in. this Starbucks does not have a drive through and for a while the line was never less then 10 people. And soon all the tables were full and I had a few other people ask if they could share my table which I said yes of course. There was a lady next to me with her son, a man next to her doing some kind of work and then a lady on my other side reading a book. Again, my nails were plainly visible and they didn’t seem to pay any attention and never said a word. I sat here till about 10 and it never got slow, several other people came and shared my table and again not one said a thing about my nails. if you go to this Starbucks get there before 7:30. Now it was time to take care of what I had to do. My mom had gone to the Doctors office for some lab work on Saturday and I had to drop off one of them at the lab today. I went in and stood in line hiding my hands now. When it was my turn I went up and told the lady I was dropping off for my mom, she asked me her name and date of birth and when she looked down to put it in the computer, I quickly put it up on the counter. I don’t think she saw my nails and now I was on my way home to get ready as Susan.

It was about 1 when I was all ready and on my way. Now I really have no plans this week other then going to the coast on Wednesday with Cassandra. So, I decided to go put flowers on my Dads grave. Whenever I have gone by myself it is always as Susan the daughter he never met. I stopped at the Fred Meyer’s on Johnson Creak to pick up the flowers, of course I got a quick selfie in the car. Yes, I am wearing an older wig that I cleaned up last night, I think it looks better then the dark hair on me, I think I just look better in lighter color hair. I walked in and went to the flower section and picked out some flowers, now this is right across from the cosmetic section and they have it set up like a store within the store as there is one way in and out and they have a cashier there. I have seen a lot of stores doing this now as I guess to much was getting stolen. Well as I was walking past to go to the checkout by the doors the lady said she could ring me up if I wanted so I said sure and went over. She was very nice and the first thing she said was how much she loved my nails which made me feel good as it was my first compliment on my nails today. I walked to the door where the self-checkout is and as I walked through, I showed the lady my receipt she thanked me and also complimented me on my nails.

From here I went to the cemetery and put the flowers on my Dads grave. I always wonder what he would have thought about this side of my life. I think he would have accepted it and been proud of me. I spent about 20 minutes here and before I left, I got a couple more selfies. Now I had to figure out what I would do so I figured I could stop at Cascade Station and do a little shopping as this would get me closer to hoe so I wouldn’t have as much traffic. I got there and my first stop was of course Ross Dress for Less. I went in and looked at dresses and they had a cute grey sweater dress and I thought it would look great with my black leggings or tights so I bought it, only $14.99. I really do like Ross as you can get some good deals there. I also made a quick stop at Nordstrom’s Rack, and ULTA and even went into Staples and Best buy to look around. Really wasn’t looking for anything but it was just about being out. It was almost 4 now so I left and drove over to a Starbucks I have gone to on Mill Plain in Vancouver. It is a smaller one with a drive though so I usually is not busy and they have plugs for almost every table so you can plug in your computer. I went in and there was one man on his computer at one table and 2 women at another sitting and talking and that was it. Well first things first I had to use the little girls room actually Starbucks is good as their rest rooms are single use gender neutral. I cam out and there were two woman that had just ordered and were standing back just a little out of sight so I went up to order and as I got to the counter I could see them better and one of them I use to work with, what are the odds? well I kind of had my back to her so I went ahead and ordered and again the lady taking my order complimented me on my nails. I went over and set up my computer at the corner table and then went back up to wait for my drink. Well they called her name and she walked right by me to get it and I just looked the other way. Now to my horror they went and sat at the next table to where I set up my computer. Luckily, she sat on the same side of the table as what I had my computer set up for.

Now what do I do it would look funny to pick up my computer and leave so I went over and slid in with my back to her and sat down. Now it has been about 6 years since I have worked with her but it was wired to be sitting next to her. I was glad I wore this hair as I does hang down and hides most of my face from the side but again as like last night these tables are close and I could hear their conversation if I listened. Now they only stayed about 20 minutes or so but it seemed longer. as they got up to leave her friend told me she loved my nails and wished she could have them but with where they work now, they can’t. I thanked her and di kind of look up but the lady I knew didn’t seem to be looking at me. I sat here and worked on my blog from today. Now I did get a lot of compliments on my nails but only when I was Susan so I am thinking maybe people don’t know what to say or are afraid to say anything about a man with pretty red acrylic nails. I stayed here till about 6:30 before I left to go get something to eat. I stopped at Subway on my way home and got a sandwich. It has been a long day but so much fun.

Sunday and the start of my vacation kind of

Well it is Sunday and I am on vacation for the week kind of. I do have some things I need to do around here so I couldn’t go anyplace but I will have a lot of Susan time this week, I hope. I am hoping I can have a little Susan time each day at least which brings me to my nails. Now my plan was to go to the nail salon and get a manicure and polish for the week. There are a few things I have to do that painted nails will be a little hard but I so want to get my nails done. Now the last several weeks I have been growing out my nails and using OPI nail envy which is a wonderful hardener and it works well as I have week nails. Well last week I broke 3 nails but really only lost a little length but they still look good but that got me thinking about getting acrylics and I said I would make up my mind today. Well actually I made it up yesterday as I broke yet 2 more nails and one was bad and with that, I called the nails salon and set up an appointment for Sunday at 4 to get a full set of acrylic nails. In a way this is good as I won’t be able to take the polish off when I am not Susan kind of forcing me to do things with the nails.

Now I have no real plans this week as I said there will be times, I won’t be able to be Susan and I will have to figure out that as I go. I would like to go to the coast one day as Susan, I did that once before and had fun. Now I was thinking it was last year but it turns out it was over 3 years ago, October of 2016 when I went to the beach, Wow didn’t think it was that long ago. I am sure there will be some shopping also this week. Well I have time to figure out what I will do so back to today. I made my appointment at Natural nails as I have gone there a couple times for a pedicure. I really thought about going back to Dream nails as I really like them but thought I should go there for a manicure first instead of acrylics as I went there for over a year with short acrylics and am afraid if I went and got acrylics there they would expect me to keep them and at this point not planning on doing that.

Well I stared getting ready about 2:30 so I could take my time. I have said it many times but I really enjoy the whole getting ready and transforming myself to Susan, there is just something so calming and peaceful about it. I was all ready by 3:45 and got to the nail salon a little before 4 and went in after taking a quick selfie in the car. I went in and they were really busy, 6 people getting pedicures including a husband and wife and 5 getting nails done. The man at the first table told me to pick a color and have a seat at the last back table, only one open. I picked a red gel polish and sat down. It was only a few minutes and a young lady sat down to do my nails. She asked what I wanted so I showed her the picture of the French fade from my last blog and said this is what I was looking for. She replied a coffin shape and I said yes. I wanted to show her a picture as a coffin shape can be very slight or very dramatic and I wanted a more subtle coffin shape. When I got them done for Diva Las Vegas this year they a little pointier than I wanted although I liked them but wanted them not as pointy this time.

She started working on them, now I have come here a few times for pedicures and they really don’t talk much to any of their customers, they play really relaxing music and it is pretty quiet but she did talk to me a little, it was a really relaxing experience and she did a wonderful job. It took a little over an hour and I enjoyed every minute of it, I really think getting your nails done is one of the simple joys in life that most men will never experience. Now they are just a little shorter than I planned on getting but they look awesome and I am happy with them. It was about 5:20 when I left with my beautiful nails. I can already tell I will hate it at the end of the week when I have to get them removed.

My next stop was Starbucks as I wanted to write about today while it was still fresh in my mind, I got there and they were once again packed. Other then seats at the counter there was on small table by the front that was open. There are 5 tables in this area and they are about 2 feet apart so you are really close to the people round you so its s kind of fun. I went and ordered a hot chocolate as it is a little cold out tonight. The lady at the counter remembered me by name and that always makes me feel good. She even complimented me on how I looked. With my drink ordered I went and sat down and got out my computer and set it up before I went up to see if my drink was ready but before I could here come the lady who waited on me with my drink. Now as I said these tabled are so close, I could hear the conversation of the man and woman to my left if I listened and the lady to my right I could see what she was doing on her computer if I looked and I am sure they could look over and see what I was doing on my computer if they wanted to but everyone just went on with their own business and we didn’t pay any attention to each other although I wondered if they noticed my nails as I am kind of proud of them. I really do wish that men could have nails like this and no one would care.

I stayed at Starbucks till about 7 then went and got gas, and then to Wendy’s for something to eat before heading home. now I have the whole week off work to spend time as Susan although there are a couple things I have to fit in this week as my male self which will be interesting with my pretty red nails. Also talked with Cassandra and we are going to the coast on Wednesday afternoon and hoping to get a couple other girls to go.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what I am up to this week and what is new in my life.

Sunday and some unexpected Susan time

Well it is Sunday and I have been trying to go to Starbucks’s as Susan for a few hours to write my blogs but today I had some things I needed to do at home so that was my plan. I figured I could do a little so I went a head and put on mascara and eye shadow and a little lipstick and then it was to do some stuff around the house. Well as I was cleaning, I came across my corset which I haven’t worn in a while and I figured I would put it on and see how it affected the things was doing. So now I had my corset on and of course now I had to put on a bra. Now I got thinking as the corset is always the last thing I put on as it really does limit what you can do as far as bending over. So, I slowly changed from my male cloths to some Susan clothes and my ankle boots and yes, it is harder than you think in a corset. So, as I went back to what I was doing I was really thinking about Susan. now I have seen videos of woman who do their eye makeup first and then their foundation and the rest of their makeup and I have never tried that and as I stood there Infront of the mirror I was almost ready to go out as Susan so I decided to see if I could do my make up without messing up my eye makeup or lipstick so the challenge was on. Of course, first had to shave and bending over with the corset on was not easy. Well to my surprise I was able to do the rest of my make up and the only issue was a little on my lipstick but tat was an easy fix with just a little more lipstick. So yes, you can do your eye makeup first. So now I was all ready and looked good and suddenly doing the things around my house didn’t seem as important. It was Starbucks time, I will go early and come home earlier and finish what I started.

I grabbed my purse and computer off the couch and off I went to Starbucks. It was only 2:30 so a lot earlier than I normally go and I wondered how busy they would be. Now I was about half way there when I thought about that and looked at my computer in my bag next to me and realized I had it at the escape last night and never recharged it and I don’t take my power cord to the Escape because there is no place really to plug it in. so I turned around and went back home to get it. I backed into my drive and parked and got out and went in through my front door. I didn’t see any of my neighbors and I would be quick and besides as much as I come and go, I figure most have seen me or at least this woman driving my car. I got my power cord and walked out the front door and across the street one house to the left the lady there was also walking out to her car. She looked at me and waved and I just waved back. Now I really don’t know her as she keeps to herself as do I and it was a way off so I am thinking if she doesn’t already know she at this distance it wouldn’t make a difference.

I got to Starbucks and went in and it was packed. All the tables along the windows were taken, the one big long table was full and all of the small tables were taken as was the front counter and the back counter there was only 2 seats available. I literally had my choice of two seats. Believe it or not there was even a couple sitting at a table outside. This is the busiest I have ever seen it so I put my computer on the back counter by the door and went and stood in line to get my drink and as I did I kind of looked around and counted the people. There were 53 people in here. I got my drink and got my computer going and yes the first thing I noticed was my battery was at 16% so it could be a short day here as the only places to plug in your computer is the front counter or the 3 tables along the window or maybe the big chairs in the corner. I had to hope someone would leave.

I worked on my blog from Saturday night and kept watching my battery go down. I got the warning at 10% and it was still just as crowded. I was down to 5% and that is normally when my computer shuts down and today was no different. My screen went black. I was really looking around now and the two young girls at the table by the window looked like they were getting ready to leave so I pulled out my cell phone and used that, I figured I could kill a few minutes and see if they were leaving. It was about 5 minutes and they got up and left. Normally I wait a little before I change tables but as crowded as it was, I didn’t want to miss my chance so as they were going out the door I grabbed my purse and drink and move it over to that table and then my computer and plugged it in. and it was just in time as I had no more then moved over and another lady came in with a computer, looked around and took the seat I had just been in.

I finished my blog and got it posted and it pretty much stayed busy till about 4:30 when people started to leave well two big groups. There was a group of 9 at the big long table and 10 at 3 of the small tables they had pulled together. I spent a little time catching up on more e-mails, I still have a few girls I wanted to reach out to and see how they are doing. Now I took a selfie in my car before going inside and I took a couple inside. I don’t know what the lighting is in Starbucks but I have never gotten a picture inside a Starbucks that looked good. I held the phone at the same angle, and same distance. Ii am also looking forward to some vacation time, I have the first week of November off although I do have things both weekends, I have to do so really it is just Monday through Friday but there will be some Susan time. I don’t think I will get acrylic nails for that but I am really thinking about getting a manicure and some red polish. I have been taking care of my nails and using a nail hardener on them and they look really nice right now. About an 1/8 of an inch and if I can go two more weeks without shortening them, they should look really nice with polish.

I stayed here till about 5:30 before going and getting gas for my car and then getting something to eat. Stopped at Subway and got something to take home. it was only a few hours out as Susan but it was so relaxing.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my newest blog to see what is new in my life.

Sunday Susan time and a much-needed pedicure.

It is Sunday and I get to have a little Susan time and the first thing I need is a pedicure. The polish on my toes are chipping off pretty bad and they look bad of course this time of year I don’t show them off but I see them and that is bad enough. Now I know it has been awhile so I looked back through my blog to see when I got my last pedicure and it was July 14th 3 months ago. I started getting ready early so I could get out early. I was ready by 3:15 and now I had a decision to make. Where do I go to get my pedicure? Now the last couple times I went to Natural nails and they are nice and do a great job but very quiet and they really don’t talk to you, and it just not me I have noticed it is very quiet in there. The other option is Dream nails where I was going. I went there almost every 2 to 3 weeks for over 2 years and it really is a wonderful place and all the girls knew me and talked to me. I really want to go back to Dream nails but wonder what they would think as it has been about 15 months since I was there last and I would not be going as often as I use to. well in the end I called Natural nails and made an appointment for 3:30.

I got there right at 3:30 and went in and they were ready for me. Now usually when I go to the nail salon most are getting pedicures bit not today. There were 5 women in their all getting fills on their nails and I was the only one there for a pedicure. I picked out a really pretty red and sat down. Now today I had a young man do my pedicure, this salon is actually owned by a man and there are a couple of them working here. Now I have had men do my nails before and they really do, do a good job. Now getting a pedicure is just so wonderful and relaxing it really is one of life’s simple pleasures. I got the Tropical deluxe with lavender cream. It took about an hour. Now 2 other ladies came in and they both wanted nail fills, I was almost done when a couple ladies came in to get pedicures. Now with my toes paint I just had to wait a little for them to dry before I left, of course I had to get a quick picture, such a pretty color.

I left the salon about 4:45 with my beautiful toes and headed for Starbucks. I got to Starbucks and they were not busy at all so I had my choice of parking spots right in front of the door. There were only 4 people in there so I set my computer on a table by the window and went up to order my drink. The young man at the counter remembered me from last week by name which made me feel good. I ordered my drink and I broke down and also got a cookie. Now we talked for a few minutes and he asked me about my day so I told him I had just come from getting a pedicure. He said that sounded wonderful and he should get one. I told them they really are wonderful and he asked where I went so, I told him about both places depending on if he wanted really quiet and relaxing or a little more conversation. I got my drink and sat down at my table and started on my blog from last night at the Escape. I also got a selfie in the car.

I spent about 2 hours here doing my blog, catching up on e-mails and just surfing the internet. It is one of the great things about the internet as you can take your computer any place and have something to do and even get work done and for me that means I can go and be Susan. It was almost 7 when I left and once again as I was leaving the young man wished me a good night by name. Starbucks really does have wonderful employees. I have gone to so many different ones over the years and in every one I have been treated wonderful. I stopped picked up a hamburger from Jack in the box on my way home since I didn’t have one last night. It was a relaxing fun day and my toes look awesome.

Thanks for reading my blog and check out my newest blog to see what is new in my life.
