T-girl Mexican Cruise, yes we are doing it!

Well I have had little time to get out as Susan over the last few months and it looks like it will be a while till I can get some Susan time. I did want to write and let you know our group is doing a Mexican Riviera Cruise and it will be so much fun and we already have 7 of us who have booked rooms. I am so looking forward to this cruise. For those that haven’t cruised before, there is unlimited food and restaurants which is all inclusive. There is entertainment every night in the Princess Theater. There are many shore excursions and tours you can go on in the ports. There 5-10 different bars. Swimming pools, hot tubs, outdoor track, fitness center, spa, basketball court, movie theater, and so much more….It’s just endless activities for you to do….

Saturday Manicure and Pedicure and then out with my friends.

Well it has been a long few months with limited Susan time so I must make the best of t when I get a chance. I had hoped to get out earlier just didn’t work. I got home about 3:30 and started getting ready right away. After my shower, I started my makeup and then thought I should probably call and see if I could get in so I called Dream Nails and they said I could come in so I told them I would be there by 4:45. I finished getting ready and was on my way. I actually got there closer to 4:30 and went in. Now I like it when I get pedicures as I can pick out really pretty colors, today was Pompeii Purple by OPI. I really love this color and it is such a pretty summer time color.

Now they were not busy so as Anna finished another ladies nails I went and got my Pedicure. A young girl named Nie did my pedicure and she did an awesome job, I would recommend her and all the nail techs here. We talked a little as she worked, it was really fun and relaxing. It is so wonderful to get a pedicure. Soon I had pretty toes again and of course I had to get a quick picture. Nails just look so much better with a pretty color on them, don’t care if you are male or female, they just look better.

Now it was time for my manicure, Anna started on my Now a couple were loose and a few you could see the fill lines in after all I do get a mostly clear color so Anna removed all the acrylics down to the natural nail. They looked kind of ruff after all I have had acrylic on them now for over 4 months now. She cleaned them up and put a fresh coat of acrylic on them. It was a wonderful experience. Now it was time for the polish. Anna started putting on my normal polish but the bottle was almost empty so she only got 1 coat of that polish so she put a second coat of clear pink the color I used to use. It is funny as when I went from this color to the one I had been using I thought it was just slightly pinker but going back the other way, my nails do look a lot more natural almost pale. I was sad she didn’t have enough of the other polish.

Now as she was doing my nails a lady came in who I have seen here several times before and even talked with on occasion, she had her daughter and also her granddaughter and grandson with her. She came over to talk with Anna and said hi to me and asked what color I was getting. I told her just the clear, she said I should try something with color and showed me the color she had picked out. It was a rose color and I so would have loved to get that on my finger nails. Well about that time her granddaughter and grandson came over with nail polish in hand. They were both getting pedicures. The boy had picked out a blue color, they were probably 7 or 8 years old. I also noticed the boy already had blue on his toes. None of them thought anything about this which I thought was wonderful, maybe in a few years it will be normal or at least accepted for boys or men to have painted nails. It was just about 6 when I was done and had my pretty nails.

It was getting later now and I decided to go straight to the Escape, I got there about 6:20 and went in. It was so wonderful to be here again, last time I was here was early April. Now normally tonight, the first Saturday of the month is Harvey’s Comedy Club but they shut down a couple weeks ago. This was really sad as we have been going there once a month for many years. Now I didn’t know all who were going to show up accept for Nicole and Cassandra but I hoped more would make it. Nicole showed up right after I got there and it was great to see her again. She only gets to town every couple months and I missed the last time. It was nice to get to talk with her again and catch up. Cassandra showed up not long after that. It was awesome to see my friends again and have a chance to hang out with them. Melissa, Page Kate and Kelly also showed up so we had a nice size group.

We talked for a while and we got on the topic of Diva Las Vegas and vacations and soon we were talking about Cruises. Now this would be a lot more expensive then what we have done as a group before but it would be so much fun. There seemed to be a lot of interest and we talked about who we thought would go and we think we can get at least 6 to 8 girls that would go and a few spouses. We kind of focused in on a 10-day Mexican cruise and it looks like we would be looking at about $1800 to $2500 per person which really is not that bad as I spend $1,000 to 1,500 on Diva Las Vegas if you add everything in, Hotel, Transportation, dining, golf and a few other things. The difference is the cruise you pay all at once upfront instead of a little here and a little there. Of course, Cruises are per person double occupancy so as a single I would need to find a roommate or my cost doubles. Now we would need to plan this well in advance as one we would need to give girls time to save up but also most cruises are booked till fall of 2018 so I am guessing it would be late next year or the following year. The idea right now is to see if we can get a core group of 8 to 10 that will commit and then see if we could block out maybe 20 staterooms and then post to other t-girls sights that we are going and if they are interested they could join us. I think that would be a blast. Any way if we can make this happen there will be more information in following blogs.

Now Kate a girl from Minnesota had contacted me she was in town this week so I told her we would be at the Escape so she also came out and joined us, yes, we had two different Kate’s here tonight. It was nice to meet her and get to talk with her. She is new to going out but you could not tell from how she presented herself. I really love meeting new people and Kate seems really nice. Hope she can come back to Portland again and visit.

Now the surprise of the night was Maya and Darla, they both showed up. It has been a couple years. It was awesome to see them again. Maya has been in the group longer then I have and I joined in the spring of 2008. It was wonderful to talk with them. Now I also saw a girl at the bar so I went and talked with her and invited her to join us, her name is Kearren and I even got her to join our group so she knows when and where we are going. I have talked with her before but it was nice to get a chance to really talk with her for a while.

Soon karaoke started and it get loud so a few of the girls left. I was torn as it was loud and hard to talk but I was out and as I have not had many chances the last few months to get out I was going to stay. Lori and another girl also showed up so we had a really good turnout tonight, at least 12. I did manage to get around and talk a little with everyone so it was a good night. It was about 11:30 when I paid my bill and called it a night. It was a wonderful night and just what I needed.
