A quick trip out for a manicure

It has been a while since I have been able to get out and the next month or two will be hard to get out, Family health issues. The last time I was out was for Wednesday night dinner with my friends on April 12^th and I didn’t even get a chance to blog about it as the next day things got busy so I will include a little about that night in today’s blog at the end and of course a few pictures from that night. This is Julie and me at dinner. Anyway, back to today.

I really needed a manicure as the last one was on April 4^th when I got back from Diva Las Vegas and I decided to keep the acrylic on my nails although a thin layer so it is not real noticeable. Any way it had grown out and I had actually had to file my nails shorter twice over the 3 ½ weeks it has been. I didn’t know when I was going to get a chance to get them done and then luck happened today and I had a few hours, well 3 hours open as my parents had some friends up to see my mom who is having the health issues so I took the opportunity to squeeze in a short Susan day and get my nails done. It would be a rush though. It was noon when I called to see if I could get in at 1 to get my nails done and Anna said that was fine so I had to rush getting ready. I think this was one of my fastest times getting ready as I was at the nails salon by 12:50, only a couple minutes from where I live. Anna greeted me and said it had been a while and I had to admit it has been, they said they missed me which made me feel good.

They were not busy so Anna was ready for me so I didn’t have to wait. I guess having the first nice weekend of the year people had other things to do then get their nails done. Now I have had Acrylic nails many times over the years but never long enough to get a fill which is what I will get today so it will be interesting to experience that. Now in some ways it is quicker as Anna didn’t have to soak the gel polish off she just ground it off as she also needed to take off some of the acrylic and get it ready for the overlay of acrylic. Now there was one other lady here getting a pedicure but soon people started to come in I guess I timed it right. Even a couple came in to get pedicures and the man had on a dark brownish polish on his toes, they had matching colors. His wife wanted to get pink today and although I wasn’t there long enough to see if he got the same color he did say it was her choice and that pink was the new black so I am guessing he will leave with pink toenails.

Anna did an excellent job on my nails and I had her file them back a little but they still look awesome, really wish I could have red on them. Now she asked me about a pedicure and I really wanted one but I am taking a break from them for a bit, yes, my toes have not had polish on them for 3 ½ weeks now so boring and ugly they look. This is the most days I have gone without polish on them for probably 12 years which is the reason why. I always chose a red or dark color and it turns out toe nails grow so slow it is not good to keep them covered with dark colors for that long. Makes your nails unhealthy and in my case one of them kind of broke apart and I lost half of it. I hope to be able to get a pedicure next time I got to the nail salon and I will have to put some lighter colors on them every occasionally. It took Anna about 40 minutes to do my nails so it was about 1:30 when I left with my pretty nails. Now I had my computer in the car and I wanted to take full advantage of this quick outing so I went to the Starbucks by my house.

They were not busy so I didn’t have to wait in line, again a couple of the girls here told me it had been a while since they had seen me and they missed me. It is nice to feel welcomed. I ordered a drink and a snack and sat down to do my blog really quick. I still need time to get home and change back to my male self before being over where my mom is by 3. I think this will be my shortest time as Susan, from boy to girl and back again in 3 hours but it is worth it as I am not sure when or how much I will get to be Susan for a while.

The Starbucks is actually busy but most come in and get a drink and leave, but there is maybe 8 other people here at tables now. It is a fun place to go for a few hours and do work and people watch. Well it is now 2:10 and I need to get home and clean up and wash all traces of Susan away so I will sign off here. There will not be a lot of blogs or Susan time over the next month or two. I will be spending a lot of time helping my parents

Saturday night at the Escape

Saturday night is here and I am looking forward to going out to the Escape, Last Saturday I was in LA, the Saturday before Las Vegas and the one before that Salem at the outside Speakeasy, so it has been 4 Saturdays since I have been here. Well I was here last night for a couple hours with Jeny and Lori. I was hoping for a bigger turnout tonight. I got there about 6:30 and they were busy, I had to park across the street. As I was walking over I saw Cassandra drive through the parking lot and head across the street to park. I got inside and all the big tables were taken so I grabbed two of the small for our group.

Cassandra came in and Laura M followed right behind her so there were 3 of us right from the start. We no more than sat down and Elain and Melissa also showed up, seems everyone wanted to get out early tonight. Now we sat and talked and of course a lot of it was about Diva Las Vegas as Cassandra, Melissa and I had all gone. We all agreed it went by way to fast but we really had a wonderful time. Laura’s daughter also showed up for a while tonight and it was good to see her again. Kate and Kim also showed up tonight so we had a smaller but fun group tonight. It really was good to see all my friends again, we have several Kim’s in our group.

Finally, one of the big tables opened so we moved over there as it was easier for us all to talk and the seats are more comfortable. I really do love my time out with my friends socializing and just having good conversations. There is just something wonderful being out with friends that accept you as a person just as you are. I would encourage everyone to find good friends that will support you where you are Transgender or not friends are important.

Now there was another large group at the next table celebrating a birthday and they were a fun group and having a blast. I talked a couple times with the girl celebrating her birthday and a couple of the other girls. It is fun to interact with the other people when we are out.

Now there was a T-girl when I came in at the bar with a lady when I came in and she was talking with her and they danced a few times when they were playing music and so I didn’t want to interrupt them as t almost looked like they were on a date. Any way later in the evening after Karaoke started I noticed her sitting by herself so I went over and introduced myself to her and started talking with her. Her name I think is Kira, Karaoke was going and it was a little loud. We talked for a little while and she seemed really nice. She asked about our group and I told her we were the Rose City T-girls and she had herd of us so I told her about our web page and encouraged her to join. Seems she has come here a couple times on Friday nights. She came over and I introduced her to all the girls that were there. I really hope she joins as we do have an excellent group that is active in going out. After meeting, everyone she called it a night.

Karaoke was fun and a lot of the songs were ones I had not heard before which is fun, plus some I knew and could sing along with. It was a fun night out. I am planning on going out to the Wednesday night dinner this week as I have missed those for several weeks and next Saturday is the night our group goes to the Southside Speakeasy in Salem and I am planning on going at least at this point. It is over an hour drive but I guess once a month I can do that. I really do try to get out twice a week when I can. This week will be busy as I have family in town again the end of the week but I think in two weeks I may start trying to go to Starbucks one night a week also as I really do miss that.

Friday night going out to meet Jeny a Facebook friend visiting from the East coast.

It is Friday after a short week as I only had to work 3 days after my vacation which was awesome. On a side note after 12 days of living as Susan it was nice to have a short break and not have to do makeup and worry about how I look every minute but now I am already missing the Susan time and all that goes with her. Aldo my nails look awesome with just a thin coat of acrylic the only thing that might give them away is the length, yes, I left them longer than I should have but when you go from long nails to shorter ones it can be hard to judge. So on to tonight’s story.

I have a friend on Facebook Jeny who is in town for work and she wants to go out tonight, this is one of the wonderful things about Facebook as you can meet people from all over the world, people you would never get a chance to meet and connect with them in in some cases like tonight actually meet them in person how awesome is that. She was going to Over the Rainbow Transformations here in the Portland area for a makeover. I know the Victoria the lady who runs it and she is wonderful, I have never used her service as by the time I found out about it I was already going out and pretty good with being Susan but if I had known about her when I first started going out it would have made it a lot easier. Any way Jeny was going to meet me at Sweet home at 6:30 which I was looking forward to.

I started getting ready early as I wanted to be out by 5 or so but that didn’t happen as I took longer getting ready. I think it must be a female thing as I knew I was meeting someone for the first time and I really wanted to look my best, to be as pretty as I could. It was about 5:45 when I left home and I got there a little after 6

Chris was the only one there but I knew Roxy would be there and one of his friends was also at the table so I took the next table behind him so Jeny would have a place to sit plus we were sitting right next to each other so we could still talk. I ordered dinner and did some work on my computer while I waited. It wasn’t long and Roxy showed up and so did Kim so we had a small group tonight, I was kind of hoping others might show up so Jeny could meet more but Friday nights out are just not what they use to be. It was good to see Kim again as I think the last time I saw her was Halloween. We talked a little which was nice, she changed her hair and it really looked cute on her. She has long blonde hair but on the ends now is dark brown maybe black (hard to tell as it is not well lighted here) and on the underside, it goes up higher. It really is a cute style. I guess that is one advantage for having your own hair.

Jeny sent me a message she would be late as it was taking longer than she planned, yes part of her transformation package is getting pictures in a few different dresses, kind of like being a model for a few hours. Jeny showed up about 7:30 and she looked fabulous, here is a picture of us from later in the evening. Jeny is really passable as she is probably the average size for a woman in case you can’t tell from the picture I am seated and Jeny is standing behind me but slightly bending forward. The hardest part for someone who is transgender is size and height which is not a problem for her. By the way if you notice her cleavage in some small way I helped as she used my technique for creating cleavage although I must say it looks better on her then me.

Jeny sat down and we started talking and getting to know a little more about each other. I really do enjoy meeting new people and getting different perspectives on things as I think that is how we grow as people and most of the time we find out we have more in common than we thought. She told me this was only her 2^nd tome going out, wow she seemed so relaxed and comfortable like it was something she did everyday of course her nonstop smile was probably the only give away. I really like meeting people when they are first going out as I think back to my first few times and the excitement and yes fear I had. It was such an incredible feeling. On this note my funny story, When Jeny got here she had already lost 2 of her nails as she used the ones with the stick-on tabs. It was funny as we talked she kept looking at her finger nails and fussing with them. I could tell she is a nail girl as it was maybe 30 minutes and she asked if I thought there would be any problem with her going into Walgreens across the street as a girl and I told her no Portland is accepting place. So, without hesitation on only her 2^nd night out she walked across the street in her heels and dress and bought more nails and came back and fixed her fingernails. Throughout the night, she lost a few more and each time brought out the nails she bought and quickly fixed them, yes Jeny is a nail girl like me.

Lori also showed up and joined us and the 3 of us talked, Lori mostly comes out at the Escape on Saturdays so it was a delightful surprise to see her and also another person for Jeny to meet. It was a little after 1 and Lori asked if we wanted to go to the Escape for a while. It was a little loud in here now with Karaoke so we decided to go, I think Jeny liked the idea of going to another place, a new experience. I will have to think about that for the next time I meet some new on their first few times out. Maybe going to several places to so they can experience being out more. WE all drove out there Jeny followed me.

We got there and they really were not busy for a Friday night so we had no trouble finding a table. Now they had a DJ playing music so it was a little loud but not as loud as when you have Karaoke so we were still able to talk. Now one of the ladies here at the Escape came over to talk with us. I have met her before and she is nice so it was us girls sitting and talking. Well she wanted to buy us all drinks which was nice, although I am not a drinker. I drink Sprite when I am out, yes, I am a cheap date, turns out Lori also drinks Pepsi. Any way she bought all 3 of us drinks which I guess is the ultimate female experience. I can’t remember her name but we all thanked her for the drinks.

We took several more pictures here, the one above is one of them. It was a fun evening. Jeny and Lori played a game of pool which again was a new experience for Jeny as it is different doing things in heels, nails, long hair, tight dress and breast, but then everything is more fun doing as a female. Now the lady who bought us drinks hung out with us as I said it was not very busy tonight and yes, she bought us more drinks, 3 maybe 4 more, wow I am glad I don’t drink. I can see how girls can sometimes have a little too much when they are out as you really don’t think about it when someone else keeps buying them for you and you don’t have to make the decision or effort to get up and go get the drink. It was a wonderful evening and I have a new friend now that I have met in person.

It was about 1:30 when we called it a night, yes, another late night for Susan and I was feeling it as I got up for work this morning at 4 am. It was sad to see the evening come to an end though. It is always hard to say goodbye to friends especially when they live far away as you know it will be a long while till you see them again but I will be able to keep in touch with her through Facebook and see how she grows as a woman and goes out more. It really was nice meeting you Jeny and getting to know you. Thanks for letting me know you were in town and getting together in person and thanks to Lori for also being out tonight who I will probably see tomorrow night at the Escape again when I go out with my friends again.

Tuesday last day of vacation and the red nails go away.

Tuesday is here the day I have been dreading. I got up early as I had some things I had to do so I was out as my male self with long bright red nails. I took care of what I had to do and then I was going home to become Susan for a few hours more. On the way, I decided to stop at a Starbucks as my male self. I lucked out as the Starbucks I stopped at had all girls working 5 of them. I ordered my drink and then carefully put my credit card in the machine trying to keep my nails as hid as I could. Both girls at the counter must have seen them as they both told me how beautiful they were which they really are. I thanked them, they didn’t seem that surprised by a man with pretty nails. I spent about an hour here before going home to become Susan.

I got home at noon and made the phone call to the nail salon something I was not looking forward to which is strange as I am always looking forward to going to the nail salon. Anna answered and I asked I could get in and she said 3 was good so I had a couple more hours of pretty nails. I then asked her if she could really make my nails look natural and keep the acrylic so as no one could tell and she assured me she could. I still have doubts but I told her that was what I wanted to do. So, I will still have acrylic on my nails I guess just a thinner layer. I was all ready by 1:20 so I figured instead of going early to the nail salon I would go to the Starbucks by my house which is right across the street from Dream Nails and hang out here till a little before 3. I took a quick selfie before leaving the house.

I got to the Starbucks about 1:30 and they were a little busy at least for the middle of the day I thought. The girl who took my ordered remembered me and asked didn’t you use to come in in the evenings, it has been a while. It is nice to be remembered and I said yes and told her I have a nail appointment across the street and had some time to kill.

I got my drink and sat down to start my blog which I will have to finish after my nail appointment and of course I had to get a picture of my nails and how they look now. The Gel Polish on the acrylic held up really well, no chips, scratches or wearing off on the edges. They look just as good as they did 12 days ago, when I got them. I will also post an after picture, I am really wondering about my decision to keep the acrylic. I really hope Anna is right and it will not be noticeable as I go back to work tomorrow. I am hoping that the fact I have kept my nails looking nice and a little long that no one will really pay attention to them. I sent about 1 ½ hours here at Starbuck’s catching up on e-mails and doing a little work. It is a great way to pass time.

I also got a message from a Facebook friend from the east coast, she will be in town the end of the week for work and on Friday she is going to Over the Rainbow for a makeover and wants to go out so she is going to meet me at Sweet Home at 6:30. This will only be her second time going out so it will be fun. I am looking forward to meeting her. I left Starbucks and went to the nail salon just before 3.

They were not busy, I was the only one there so there was no waiting Anna was ready to do my nails. Now as I am leaving the acrylic on Anna just started to grind off the top layer, the red layer. The first bit was the hardest as my red was no longer glossy smooth. The red dust piled up as one nail after another lost its red color. This is always so sad and I guess it would not be if I was putting another color on. Soon all the color was off and she started to grind the acrylic down to a thinner layer. I was kind of amazed and surprised as it really did look like my natural nail, I had my doubts but Anna was right. I guess if you looked really close you would be able to tell the texture of the nail was different.

Now came the big question, Anna asked me if I wanted them shortened and I so wanted to tell her no but I just couldn’t go to work with that long of nails so I said yes cut them down. Now normally she uses nail cutters but she put a little sanding wheel in her grinder and zip the first nail was short. I looked at it and told her that was good and she went right to work on the rest of the nails and soon they were all short or so I thought. A couple tips I discovered. First after having long nails it is hard to judge length and when you have 4 long nails on one hand and one shorter that you are comparing it to it really does look short. I actually left my nails somewhat long and in two week when I go back they will really be long.

Now it was time for the Gel polish and I went back to my clear with a slight pink tint to it. Two coats of that Gel polish and a clear top coat and my nails look awesome and you really can’t tell I have acrylic on them, they look awesome. The whole thing took about 45 minutes but as I said a little on the long side. Here is a picture of them now.

Now I had some things I had to do which luckily, I could do as Susan including getting gas for my car, you know just routine chores. It was now about 5 and I was thinking what to do. I wanted something to eat but really wasn’t hungry so I decided to go back to the Starbucks by my house and get a snack and a drink and work on my computer for a while and of course update my blog. I will hang out here for a couple hours as I do have some work I need to do on the computer and then I will go home and officially end my vacation it has been a fun 12 days and I am sad to see it come to an end but it will be nice to take a break from doing makeup everyday as it will be Friday the next chance I get to go out and meet my friend from the East coast.

Monday out in Portland, last full day as Susan.

Wow this day got here so fast, I can’t believe how fast my vacation went. I got up this morning about 8:30 and started getting ready as I was going out for the day. I was ready and on my way by 10. My first stop was to Starbucks so I could write and post my blog from Sunday our trip back to Portland. Now for a Monday they were kind of busy but o found a table to sit at. It has been a while since I have been to Starbucks. I spent a couple hours here doing my blog, catching up on e-mails, some work and of course surfing the internet just a relaxing time. I really do like my Starbucks time. It was a little after noon when I left to start shopping.

My first stop was Burlington Coat as I wanted to look at their shoes. They had 3 pairs I liked but only one fit me. It was a wedge heel with open toe so I bought it. It is a little higher then I wanted in a wedge but it is really cute. I looked around at some of their clothes and also their purses, I really need a new purse as mine is starting to show its wear, it is probably 7 to 8 years old. I couldn’t find one I liked, seems all they had were really big or small. I just want a plain black purse medium size.

After here I went to DSW to look at their shoes, I am still looking for a pair of ankle boots. Again, they had several I liked but only one in my size well close to my size. They are just a little tight but I am hoping they will stretch out a little. Of course, of the 4 I liked the only one in my size was not on sale. I went ahead and bout them. They will look cute with my leggings.

From here I went to Lloyd Center to walk around for a while. This was more window shopping then anything as at this point I really wasn’t looking for anything in particular. I wondered through Sears, Marshals, Ulta, Macy’s, and a variety of other stores including Victoria’s Secret. What trip to the mall would not be complete without going in Victoria’s Secret.

On the way, out I stopped in Old Navy as they had a size that everything was 40% off. I have never bought anything here but I figured it was worth the look. While I was walking around here I saw another t-girl. I am always hesitant to go up to another t-girl when they are out as I don’t want to put them on the spot. I smiled at her but she was really not looking at any one else so I am not sure if she even saw me. I left there and made my way to my car and was on my way.

I headed for Cascade Station by the airport and went to Panda Express for an early dinner. Now it was only a little after 3 so it was in-between lunch and dinner so they were not busy when I got there but by the time I finished there were a lot of people here. After I ate I went few shops down to Starbuck’s for a drink and to play on my computer for a while. This Starbucks is always busy but there was one small table open right in the middle so I took it. I spent maybe an hour here just relaxing, Starbucks is a great place to go with your computer and do work.

After Starbucks, I walked around Cascade station, checking out Ross Dress for Less, Staples, DSW, and even BestBuy, it was a good day out. I stopped at the Starbucks by my house on the way home. This is where my day will end as I sit here updating my blog, I think that will be a record, 3 different Starbuck’s in one day. Tomorrow will be the last of my vacation post for Diva Las Vegas 2017 and sadly it will be after my nail appointment.

Sunday the long drive home

It is Sunday and the end of my Vacation almost. Today we make the long drive home and then I have Monday to be Susan in Portland followed by Tuesday when I must get my nails removed. I am still wondering if they can make the acrylic look normal enough that it would not be that noticeable. My nails are already thin from doing gel Polish for over a year and removing acrylic will just make them even thinner. Well that is something I will have to decide on Tuesday. I will also include the pictures we got that I had to scan into the computer in this blog. This is the photo shoot they did where they take your face and impose it on someone else’s body and of course photoshop it a little to make it look better or in my case soften my face some, what do you think, could I be a centerfold?

Now this blog will be short as all we really did was drive home. I got up at 7:20 to start getting ready with the hopes we could be on the road by 9. After 10 days of being Susan full time I seem to be a little slower getting ready, it is hard work being female 24/7. Now the good thing is Cassandra travels as her male self so she was ready a lot faster than I was so she loaded the car while I finished getting ready. I did pretty good as we were on the in the car leaving the motel by 8:35

Like I said not much happened as we drove about 4 hours and stopped for gas & lunch and I took over driving. Now we ate in the car as we had a long trip home so I was eating a hamburger as I drove with my long nails and didn’t mess up my lipstick, just wore a little off but that can’t be helped.

Our next stop was Weed California about 5:30, we needed gas again and we both needed a bathroom break. Cassandra filled the car and cleaned the window while I went in to use the bathroom. On the way, out the lady at the country was smiling at me and told me to have a wonderful day, I wished her the same and didn’t think anything of it. I got back in the car as I was still driving and Cassandra went in to use the bathroom. She came out and had a smile on her face, now remember she is in male mode on the trip. She looked at me and said guess what the lady inside said. According to Cassandra she said, “How tall is your lady, she is so beautiful and I always feel so tall”. She was a tall girl. I guess not only did she think I was female but that I was Cassandra’s lady, I got a chuckle out of that. Cassandra explained that we were both trans and on our way home and she thought that was wonderful. My story of the day. This is Cassandra and me at Binions in front of 1 Million dollars. They have this in real thick plastic and bolted to the table but you can get a picture behind it, Cassandra even put her hand on it and touched a million dollars. You can do one picture a day and everyone in the picture gets a copy but it takes about 30 minutes to get the picture printed and out. I think they hope you will gamble or put some money in a slot machine while you wait.

We got back in the car and we were off I was still driving. I actually like driving as I find it fun plus being able to see my pretty long nails on the steering wheel made it just that much more fun. We drove on and were making good time. Our goal was to be home between 11 and midnight. This is a group of girls that were in front of use, they are in town for a bachelorette party weekend and they invited Cassandra and I up to get in their picture. How cool is that although Cassandra got cut off on the left.

Now we had sunny and warm weather the whole drive home. Mid 80’s till we hit northern California and then it dropped down to about 70 but still clear blue skies. When we got to Oregon there were some clouds but still sunny and in the 50’s, what a change a few hundred miles makes but so much better on the weather then we had on our trip down a week and a half ago.

As we got closer to home we were trying to figure out if we should get something to eat ass all we had was the burger and fries from in & Out burger. We really hadn’t done anything today other than sit in a car but we decided we should get something so when we hit Eugene we went through the dive through at Taco Bell and got a party pack of tacos. This is a picture of Kim and I at Binions and yes, this time I put my hands on the money and touched it. I can now say I touched a million dollars.

Now by this time it was dark out so now I am driving and eating tacos in the car in the dark. It is challenging by itself but I was also worried about messing up my makeup, lipstick or spilling in my laps as tacos are not easy to eat one handed. I did a great job and didn’t spill anything in my lap or mess up my makeup just a little faded on my lipstick, I guess I am getting pretty good at being female. I don’t know why I was worried as it was dark out and no one could see me and our next stop was Cassandra’s house.

We got to Cassandra’s house and it was just a little after 11 so we unloaded the car and I decided to go home instead of staying there for the night. I got home at midnight and that brings the traveling part of my vacation to an end. Tomorrow Monday I will have a day to be Susan here in town and maybe do some shopping, and on Tuesday a half day of Susan ending in the removal of my nails before going home and back to my male self. It will be 12 days of living totally as Susan.

Saturday, Diva Las Vegas is over and we leave for Los Angeles

I got up today not looking forward to leaving Las Vegas it has been such a fun week, it went by so fast. I got up at 7:30 to get ready with the hopes of being on or way by 9. We had a 6 hour drive a head of us to get to our hotel in Long Beach which is only a couple miles from Hamburger Mary’s where we will go tonight. Teresa is also going and she left about 15 minutes behind us. We stopped in Barstow to get Gas and while Cassandra who is in male mode went inside I cleaned the windshield, I wonder what people thought. Traffic was bad as we got to close to LA and the GPS kept rerouting us to avoid it, wow what do we do before we had GPS.

WE got to our motel and checked in, Teresa was there before we finished unloading our car, and then made a quick drive to find Hamburger Mary’s and parking as we have only been here once before 2 years ago. We got back to the, motel and Cassandra started getting ready and I had to do some touch up on my makeup and of course I wanted a red lipstick for tonight so I had to change that and then get my dress and heels on an was ready to go.

Now we had planned on being at Hamburger Mary’s at 7 that is what we told Melissa who is driving up from San Diego to meet us. Now it was 5:15 and we just figured we would go early. On the way, There Cassandra thought about the Queen Marry so we drove down to see it only about 5 miles. It was cool to see it and of course we parked and got out to take some pictures. I really love this dress as it is so cute and classy. We all took several pictures here it was a lot of fun. We left here and headed for Hamburger Mary’ which was only 10 minutes away and we parked in the parking garage right behind it.

We got to Hamburger Mary’s by 6 and they were packed inside, the had a big LGBT event going on so we sat outside at the tables by the street and watched the cars go by. It was a nice warm evening out so far but every once in a while, the breeze was cool. It was a nice enjoyable evening in Long Beach. I do need to work on my pose, I watched some of the girls inside getting their pictures taken and they make it look so easy and I just feel stiff when I try to pose for a picture.

There were others sitting outside and Cassandra was playing on Paltalk on her phone. The event inside got over about 7:30 and by then it was getting a little cool outside so we moved inside to a table which was hard to get as they also had a Drag show scheduled for 8 which was late do to the first event going long. By 8 it was busy again inside and it was a good thing we got a table. It was going to be a busy night here. We ordered dinner well I had breakfast as it just sounded good. Cassandra and I took some pictures inside as well by the Hamburger Mary’s backdrop. Also, a little later for T-girl Saturday they have a professional photographer here to take pictures for the lady who runs this web page so Cassandra and I also went over had had him take several pictures which will be on her web page in the next couple weeks. It is cool she does this, she spends a lot of her own money putting on this event every month.

The Drag started about 8:40 and it was good but I have seen so many drag shows over the years I just can’t get that excited about them but the girls were really good and the crowd loved them. When I first started going out the place we went on Friday and Saturday nights did drag shows so I was seeing them 1 to 2 times a week for a couple years. The show went to about 9:30 and then they started T-girl Saturday.

T-girl Saturday is always the first Saturday of the month at hamburger Mary’s in Long Beach California. Now Melissa showed up with a couple of her friends, it was great to see her again. She use to come out with us all the time in Portland till she moved to San Diego. Now the one bad thing about T-girl nights is the fact it is a dance party and the music is so loud but the dance floor was full. I met several girls and I have no idea what their names are as I could not hear over the music, most of the time I just smiled and nodded my head. It also got really hot inside with all the people inside and the fact they were dancing. We found out later one of their air conditioners was broke and of course it was the one on our side.

I was so hot I walked outside for a bit and there was a line of people to get in and the security guard was checking purses and bags and also using a handheld metal detector to scan people, I guess things are different down here. I ran into Valerie who I met in Diva Las Vegas in 2011. It was good to see here and catch up. I also asked her about Alexis who I also met at that Diva Las Vegas. She disappears from Facebook and her blog and then comes back and then disappears. I was just wondering how she was doing.

The heat finally got too bad as even Cassandra was hot so we called it a night about midnight. It was a fun evening but we must get up early as we have a 15-hour drive home tomorrow. Monday will be a Susan day in Portland and then Tuesday my pretty red nails go away.

Friday the last day of Diva Las Vegas and our last day in Las Vegas.

Today is the end of Diva Las Vegas, wow it went by so fast. We were up late again last night. I am going to need a vacation to recover from my vacation, one reason I took Tuesday off. We will either get back late Sunday night or at the latest Monday evening so Tuesday will be my day to relax before going back to work plus I will need a day to go to the nail salon and remove my acrylic nails that is if I don’t try to keep them which really interests me. Now a funny side note, one of our girls few out this morning at 6 am and Cassandra was going to take her to the airport which they had to get up early. Well they both over slept so they got to the airport too late for the flight but found out it had been delayed probably because of all the wind we have had here the last few days. Well not only was the flight delayed but when she tried to check in the machine was not working so everyone had to stand in one line and they could not get the people through fast enough and the plan left without a lot of people, so she was rebooked for Saturday and the airline is putting her up in a hotel one more nigh so she gets another day here and gets to spend the day with us again. I wonder if any of the other girls who were flying out today will have issues as the weather is going to be bad again today, not as bad as yesterday but windy, possible rain and below 70. Wow this is not what Las Vegas should be.

I got up and was downstairs by 11 to post my blog as Cassandra and Veronica were still getting ready. It is kind of fun to sit in a bar in a busy casino as Susan on my computer and people watch. After I finished this I was on my way back through the casino and one of the dealers called me over to talk to me she had no one at her table. She was one of our regular dealers here and she was wondering if we had gone golfing yesterday which I assured her we didn’t with the wind. We talked for about 5 minutes, I will say almost all the dealers here have been awesome and friendly.

I got upstairs and Veronica and Cassandra were ready so we went down to the casino to play some Blackjack till it was time to leave. I bought in with $190 odd amount even Cassandra asked me why and it was simple that was the total of $5, $10, & $20 I had in my purser everything else were $100 bills. It was a $5 table so I played $10 so I could play two hands at a time both Cassandra and Veronica were doing the same. I have tried this a few times this week and never did goo this way and today was no different. It didn’t take long and I was down to my last $20 two hand and I figured we would be leaving in about 10 minutes so I went ahead and played them as I was ready for a break. Well I caught a little streak and soon I was back to where I started. When I cashed in I had $195 so it was a win.

Cassandra’s friend Mechie met us at our hotel as she was going with us to watch Cassandra race a car at the Exotic Race way. I had thought about doing this but I am really not into cars and for the cost I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I think this is something someone who really likes cars would enjoy. It is between $299 and $599 depending on which car you want to drive for 7 laps. We picked up our other friend who missed her flight and had to stay another day.

We got to the race track and Cassandra got all signed in and Veronica went ahead and signed up for driving plus a couple other girls from Diva Las Vegas were there to drive. Now as a guest I got a pass to look at the cars and even sit in them if I wanted to so guess what I did. That’s right I have pictures of me in these awesome cars and it didn’t cost me a thing. So, you who are reading this blog will be the only ones who know I didn’t drive them. People I show the pictures to will think I drove them. The rest will be at the end

Now We had time to tale with the people here as we waited for Cassandra and Veronica to drive, one of the ladies who worked here was awesome and don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face the whole 2 ½ hours we were here so of course I had to get a picture with her she was just so cute.

Cassandra and Veronica got their chance to drive and Cassandra chose a Lamborghini, she was the first to drive and Veronica after her. I don’t know what car she or the other two drove as I know nothing about cars. The only reason I know Cassandra’s is she told me and has been talking about it for the last several days, as I said I do not know anything about cars. It was fun to watch her race around the track but it that was it.

Now after her driving she did what the call a drift ride along which was only $99 and that you get 2 laps with a professional driver who power slides the car around the corners, in other words tries to give you the ride of your life. Now this looks like a blast and I wish I had done that. I will do this next year when we come back.

We left the race track and went back to our hotel so Cassandra could change into a dress. The rest of us hit the Blackjack tables for a few minutes. II bought in with $100 and was down for a bit, it is a funny pattern as I start off losing and then seem to come back. Well by the time Cassandra got changed and was downstairs and it was time to leave I had $100 so I broke even. I seem to do that a lot.

We drove to the MGM to go to the Rainforest Café only to find it moved over to Planet Hollywood a couple years ago, so we drove over there. These casinos on the strip are so big it is a long walk where ever you go. To get to it we had to go outside and up on one of the walkway overpasses and back in so of course we had to get a couple pictures outside, the strip is behind me.

We went in and got a table. Now this is a cool place inside to eat as it looks like you are in a rainforest and they have animatronic animals in here and it gets dark every occasionally, and sound like it is raining. Very cool place to eat. We had a wonderful time and it was not that bad of price for being on the Las Vegas Strip. My credit card is getting a workout but it is vacation and I am having a great time. Hard to believe it is almost over.

After dinner, we went out the other door onto another overpass walk way and had to get some more pictures. This one shows the City Center Casino hotel complex behind me, I call it a complex as there are six towers in one casino complex, it is huge. They were just finishing it the ear before we came to our first Diva Las Vegas. I got several pictures up here and there were two I really liked especially the one with me looking away. I just thought this was cute. What a great picture with the city lights behind me.

After that we drove the one girl back to her hotel as she once again has an early flight out and we drove Mechie home before going back to our hotel to gamble. We sat down at the Blackjack table and it was not good. I either lost or pushed I don’t think I won a hand through the first deck. Even Cassandra was not doing well and gave up. I won a few finally so I kept playing but that didn’t last long and again the cards turned cold. The dealer just seemed to get every card she needed. It really has not been a good blackjack week as I don’t think I ever had a table where the dealer just got on a streak of going bust. You had to beat the dealer’s hands probably why I didn’t do so well this year. I never had that one good run. I lost $90 tonight before calling it quits for the trip.

I think I lost about $300 gambling this week which I guess is not that bad as we were here for 8 nights and I really did play a lot of Blackjack. I look at it as paying for my entertainment and fun as I do enjoy playing Blackjack. It was a fun week and I am sad to see it come to an end.

Now it was only 11 and we are leaving in the morning so instead of writing my blog I my room I decided to get my computer and go sit in the bar and write it and pot it tonight. It is a good place to people watch. Okay here is the cute picture of me looking away, I don’t know why I like this picture so much. I finished my blog and now it is time for bed.

We will be on the rod buy 10 am on our way to Long beach California to go to Hamburger Mary’s tomorrow night and Melissa is going to drive up from San Diego to meet us. It will be good to see her again.
