Thursday of Diva Las Vegas

It is Thursday of Diva Las Vegas, wow this week is going fast. I stayed up way to late last night about 3 am. This girl is not use to these late nights. We all slept in this morning I got up around 10 and started getting ready a little slower than the first days of the trip. I was already by 11:30. Veronica must take care of some business and Cassandra was still resting being so late in the morning she didn’t want to get ready and then must redo her makeup for the evening o she isn’t going to start getting ready till 1 or so, so I figured I would have some me time. I grabbed my computer and headed downstairs, through the casino and up to the second-floor casino bar. They don’t open this bar till the evening and they have some tables I can sit at on my computer and update my blog. This is where I have been going in the morning. Here is a picture from this morning. You can see the slot machines behind me. I finished my blog from yesterday and posted it online and then just sat here for over an hour catching up on e-mails, Facebook and even some work. I wonder what some of my co-workers would think if they knew I was dressed like this sitting in a casino doing my work on my laptop with my long pretty acrylic nails. It is un and a good place to people watch as there are several shops nearby and a pedestrian bridge from our hotel (California Hotel Casino) to their sister property the Main Street Station and of course a lot of slot machines so there are lots of people going by all the time. It was a fun and relaxing way to start my day. I probably would have stayed longer but I forgot to plug my computer in and the battery was running low.

I went back to the room to see if Cassandra was ready and she still hadn’t started getting ready. It was about 1 and we weren’t leaving till 3:45 so I went down to the casino to play a little Blackjack. I found a $5 table and sat down, there were 5 other people at the table and it was a fun table to play at. Everyone was friendly and talkative. Now two of the players were counting cards or at least I am pretty sure they were as one would bet $5 and the other $25 but everyone in a while the one would bet between $40 and $50 and the other would bet $200 to $250 and it was always the same hand so I started watching and it was always a hand after a lot of small cards came out. The funny thing is they were not wining. Soon they left and it was just me and the couple at the other end of the table and they were awesome, they were from Ohio. We talked and had a great time. I heard about their vacation and what they had done and told them about mine and Diva Las Vegas we had a great time

It was about 3 when Cassandra came down and joined our table and they just loved her too. I played till 3:30 and then I had to quit because I needed to go change and put on a dress and heels for dinner tonight. I was also $57 a head so I wanted to leave as a winner. I told Cassandra I was going to go change and the lady at the other end of the table told me I had to come back so she could see my dress, how cool is that. I went up and changed and came back down and she complimented me on my dress and how good I looked which I always love. Even Cassandra had fun playing with them of course she also won.

We left and drove downtown and there were a lot of traffic lights out the wind today is bad, 40 MPR with gusts to 60. There were fences blown over and trees down I think this is the worst wind we have had here during any of the Diva Las Vegas. We got downtown and went into the LINQ as that s were the farewell dinner is. We were early so we decided to play a little Black Jack. I did okay for a while but then the table got cold and I lost so in the end I lost $100. It was time to go to the restaurant called off the strip at the LINQ. Now some of the girls were there and we were in their big room upstairs so it was a good time to socialize and of course take pictures.

Beverly had just bought a drink and Cassandra asked her to take a picture of her so she put her drink down on the bar and took it and so I gave her my phone and asked her to take one of me and I picked up her drink, it is such a cute picture I thought, thanks Beverly. There were lots of picture being taken by everyone as this is the farewell dinner and although not the last event I may not see many of these girls again till next year. Not sure if I mentioned in earlier blogs but we have 14 girls here from our group this year which is awesome.

Dinner was served and t was really good, they have great food here and the service was wonderful.it really was a nice place and so much fun. I met a few girls that were new and this was their first time here, I met some that follow my blog and of course some that I have known for years but only see once a year when I come to Las Vegas. I really look forward to this week and it is sad that it is coming to an end. Now after dinner there was more socializing and picture taking. Now there was some confusion with the bills as they did one bill for each table, I don’t know why some restaurants do that and won’t do individual bills. Now they did bring out the big bill and from that they rang up the individual amounts so we could pay individually. Beverly had to leave so she gave me her money and I paid her bill also. Now I paid my bill which included Beverly’s and I thought it was a little high but it was a nice restaurant and I gave them a good tip about 25% After we left I was talking to Cassandra and she had a copy of the total bill for our table and it turns out what I paid already included an 18% tip. I talked to some of the girls and some had been told their bill included that and some were not. I guess I should have asked before I paid.

We went into the casino and played some more Blackjack and again I lost but this time only $40. The casino we went into was so loud, it is called O’sheas casino and it is a small side casino at the LINQ. Right by the Blackjack tables they have a band that plays and people dance right behind you, very distraction and I guess I should like that as I left after a short while because of how loud it was and that probably kept me from losing more money. By the way this is Beverly, Cassandra and me before dinner.

We went back to our hotel casino and of course went down to the Blackjack tables for a while, it was about 11:30. I played till about 2:15 am and had a great time and I won $30 so I won back some of my money. It has been a fun week but is going by so fast. It was a wonderful day.

Tomorrow is the last day of Diva Las Vegas and it will be sad to see it come to an end. Have met some wonderful people here and caught up with some great friends. The internet is wonderful as it lets you meet people you wouldn’t have a chance to from all over the country and even the world. The bad part is you make friends you may never meet or only see once a year or more. On the bright side, Beverly, might be in the Portland area in a month or two and if she does she will get to hang out with us when she is there.

Friday some of the girls are doing a racing thing and we have one more dinner before the end. Saturday Cassandra and I will leave and head to LA and go out there Saturday night and then we will drive home on Sunday not sure if we will drive all the way or stop and finish on Monday I guess that depends on how late we are out Saturday night.

Wednesday the half way point of Diva Las Vegas

Today is Wednesday the half way point of Diva Las Vegas and I have had my nails for 6 days now and loving every minute of it. Mow today Kim leaves as she could only join us for a few days and it has been fun and we are also going golfing again today after we drop her off at the airport. I got up and got dressed as I wanted to go downstairs and post my blog from yesterday. By the way it was a short night as by the time I got back to the room and finished writing my blog from yesterday it was almost 2:30 am when I went to bed so getting up at 7 was hard today. Tomorrow I can sleep in. I did my makeup and then got dressed, I just through on some Capri pants and a top instead of the pink skirt I will ware for golfing to go downstairs. I have a lot of pictures today so they will be just intermixed in the blog.

I walked through the casino and took the elevator to the second floor as there is a bar up there that is closed in the morning but has tables I can sit at and use my computer, plus the gift shop is up there and I needed some suntan lotion as I lost mine yesterday somewhere on the golf course. After posting my blog started walking to the gift shop and the lady from the chocolate shop Kim and I stopped at yesterday saw me and came over and said good morning Susan the few minutes we were there and she remembered me and I know I stand out but she remembered my name which was awesome so we talked briefly as we walked. It was really nice.

I got to the gift shop and went in, they really didn’t have a wide selection of sunscreen and it was not cheap, SPF 30 was the highest they had and only in a 3oz size for $12.99 but I had to have it and I am sure they know people who buy this here need it. I got to the counter and the girl there told me she loved my lipstick which is red again today. I thanked her and told her I loved red lipstick and she agreed she also loved it, I guess I should mention she also had a red lipstick on, not as bright as mine but still pretty, so of course I complimented her also on hers. I actually stayed and talked with her briefly about what I was doing for the day. I must say everyone I have encountered working here at the California Hotel Casino has been wonderful and treated me awesome.

I walked back to the elevator and got on to go upstairs and a man got on with me and I am not even sure how we started talking but he was on the same floor I was and we talked going up the elevator and as we walked to our rooms, I even stopped briefly when he got to his room to finish up what we were talking about. As he went in he wished me a wonderful day. It really has been a good morning so far.

It was about 9:30 when Cassandra, Veronica, Kim and I left to go pick up the other girl. After that we were off to the airport to drop off Kim for her flight home. We will miss her. After dropping her off the 4 of us were off to Wild horse golf course, we had an 11:45 tee time. We got there about 10:45 as we went right from the airport. Well they were not that busy so we were able to go right out on the course of course we also got no time to warm up so it would be interesting how we did to start. Now today was perfect for golf about 75 and no wind.

Now it was fun and yes playing golf as Susan is more fun than as my male self although I don’t play as well I look cute and that is what counts. I had some good shots and not so good shots and I only lost 1 golf ball which is a good day. It was about 3:30 when we finished, I didn’t have the best score but that was okay because I did have a handy cap today. I have been wearing a padded bra so I don’t have to wear my breast forms but my bra has underwire and they started poking out in my chest. I had to use a napkin to pad it so it wouldn’t jab me anymore. It was about 4:30 when we got back to our hotel.

We rested for a bit and then started getting ready for dinner, we are going to Margaretaville for dinner. we left a little after 6. Veronica had gone to pick up Mechie as she was joining us. Cassandra set this up to meet a couple of her PalTalk friends. Cassandra and I finished dressing and went downstairs and sat on one of the benches outside and waited for Veronica to get back and of course we took a few pictures.

We got to Margaretaville well we parked in the parking garage of the LINQ and walked through the casino and over to Margaretaville which is at the Flamingo. There was a 35-minute wait so we went up to the 3^rd floor to wait and sit at the bar patio that overlooks the Las Vegas strip. It is a great place to relax and people watch. Cassandra’s other PalTalk friend showed up, he goes by the name ZZtop on PalTalk, he was a really nice and this was the first time they had met in person. That really is kind of cool that you can meet someone online a one day actually meet them. Now Margaretville is a fun place with good food but the best part is being on the deck upstairs looking over the Las Vegas Strip. We always like coming here although tonight there was a mix up I think on our order as it took a long time to get it. The man who took our order was covering the lady who actually served us who was on break. Anyway, it had been about 45 minutes when she came over and asked if we would like desert. I said we probably would once we ate but we were still waiting for our order. Well we got our food about 10 minutes later. I most of us didn’t care as we were having a wonderful time talking by the way Teresa also showed up for dinner with us so we had 7 tonight. It was a good time now when they brought our bill there was a mix up so that cause a little more tension but in all it was still a fun evening. It is possible they were just having a bad night and things didn’t go well but one minorly bad experience after all the times we have come here and had awesome experiences is not a big deal.

It was getting late and we left, we said goodbye to ZZtop and drove Mechie back to where she lived before heading back to our hotel. We got there about 10:30 and decided to do a little gambling so we headed for the Blackjack tables. It was just before 11 when we sat down to play at a $10 table as it was the only one all 3 of us could sit together at, I bought in with $100. After about 10 minutes Cassandra was not doing well so she left and went to a $25 tale across form us so Veronica and I sat and played. We even chatted with some of the other people at the table which is always fun and people come and go depending on their luck. Again, gambling like anything else will have good times and bad times, several times I got down to my last $10 and sometimes I was up I think at one point I had about $225. This is gambling and the odds are always in the houses favor the key is to have fun. I think a lot of times people get so caught up in winning which is fun but when they are not winning they don’t have fun and then they should take a break.

It was about 2 am when they close down a few tables and the pit boss came over and asked if we would mind moving over a table so they could close our table which was just Veronica and I at. We were on a cold streak so we moved over and again I won some hands in a row so I was going back up. It was probably 2:40 when Veronica and I called it a night, I think this is the latest we have been out this week but we can sleep in, in the morning. I cashed in $75 so for almost 4 hours of playing Blackjack I lost $25 so 4 hours of fun cost $25 not bad. We went up and went to bed as we have no plans for tomorrow other than dinner we all plan on sleeping in so I figure I can finish my blog in the morning by the casino bar before posting it.

So here ends the half way point of Diva Las Vegas and also my vacation. Tomorrow night Thursday will make one week of living as Susan and having my pretty acrylic nails. I am already thinking about next Tuesday when I will have to have them removed and go back to shorter normal nails, so sad. I keep thinking about what Anna my nail lady said about keeping the acrylics and just cutting them back shorter. The thickness of the nails makes me think I can’t do this but I may have her remove the gel polish and trim them back and look at them and see what they look like. Maybe she can grind them down so they are not as thick and look more natural but that is something I do not have to decide for 6 more days.

Tuesday of Diva Las Vegas, Golfing

Tuesday is here and today we have our Diva Las Vegas golf tournament. Now I had to get up at 6 am to get ready as we wanted to leave by 7:40 because we were picking up another girl at the Golden Nugget. Was ready by 7:20 and went downstairs for a few minutes to upload my blog from Monday. I was back upstairs by 7:30 and we grabbed our golf clubs and we were on the way. I am waring my white skirt and salmon top.

Veronica, Cassandra, Kim and I drove over and picked up the other girl and off we went to the Sunrise golf course, we have played here several years back when I was called Dessert rose. We got there and carried in all the stuff, Cassandra is in charge this year and had gift bags for everyone and prizes. Other girls started showing up, we had 12 playing today, 3 foursomes. I was in the last foursome with Cami, Trish and Stacy. Now these girls can all hit the ball far and I am not a long ball hitter but I am good close to the green. Now we are playing a 4-team scramble which means everyone hits from the tee and then you pick the best shot and everyone hits from there. This way even not so good players can play and have fun.

Now today was a really windy day but other than that it was nice, not to hot. It was a good day and the team I was on won with the lowest score. It was a good day golfing. We got back to the hotel early by 2 we decided to freshen up and walk over to Freemont Street as we were in our tennis shoes so it was easier to walk. Kim, Cassandra and I walked over and got another picture of all 3 of us with the million dollars at Binions. We met up with one of our other members by the Golden Nugget and walked around Freemont Street for a while. It was about 4 when we got back to our hotel. Cassandra went up to rest for a bit and Kim and I walked upstairs to check out the candy shop. Of course, they gave us samples and I am proud to say I didn’t give in I left without buying anything. Kim did break down and bought some chocolate for her son.

We went down stairs and Kim wanted to play a slot machine so I sat with her. A lady came over and introduced herself and said she thought her and her husband was one of us and then pointed out her husband who was playing Black Jack dressed as a female. I made the comment about being here for Diva Las Vegas and it turns out they knew nothing about Divas Las Vegas. They were just here on vacation from Canada so I told her all about Dive Las Vegas and how it worked. I gave her one of my cards with my e-mail address on it and told her to e-mail me if they had any questions about it. She went over to see if her husband wanted to come over and meet us but they didn’t come back. After a little while Kim and I went back upstairs to get ready for dinner at Ruth Chris.

It was almost 6 when I was ready and we were picking up the other girl at 6. Well it turns out unlike past years where happy hour was 6 to 7 with dinner at 7 this year dinner was at 6 so now we were rushing as we were late. We got there about 6:20 but it was a long walk from the parking garage to Ruth Chris especially in heels. Beverly, Cami, Annie, Brenda, Melissa and her wife and several other girls most of whom I have met and some new friends were there. We talked for a while before ordering.

We had a wonderful dinner as always. This is such a wonderful place to eat and they treat us so wonderful. The food was awesome and of course I ate to much. The bills came and kim grabbed both Cassandras and mine and wanted to pay part of it. We told her no but she would not accept that and in the end she won, Thanks Kim for that but it was not nesesary. We talked little more and thanks the staff here again before leaving.

We got back to our hotel and went to the Blackjack table to pay for a while. We played for a while maybe 3 hours and were up and down. I was the last one left at the table, I played till almost 1 am and in the end, I won about $20 but I had fun. It was fun to sit in the casino at the Blackjack table in my short black dress and heel. It was a good day and we had lots of fun. Tomorrow we are golfing again which will be fun, the sad part is Kim leaves as she only came for a couple day. She flies out a little after 11 am, It will not be the same without her as she had so much fun and it was fun to see her having so much fun. Don’t get me wrong as we all have fun but she had a blast here with us. Thanks Kim for coming to hang out with us in Las Vegas.

Well it is late so I am finishing up the blog and going to bed. Will post in the morning before we leave to take Kim to the Airport and then on to golf.

Monday of Diva Las Vegas

It is Monday of Diva Las Vegas and we stayed up way to late last night, it was almost 2:30 when I went to bed. I woke up today at 7:30 to the sound of the wind blowing stuff against our window and we are on the 9^th floor. It is really windy outside. Well I laid there listening for about 10 minutes and was still tired so I figured I would sleep just a little longer, well the next time I looked at the clock it was 10:21, wow guess I was tired. I got up and got dressed, by the time I was ready t was almost noon. Cassandra was still finishing getting ready so I went downstairs with my computer to post yesterday’s blog, it only takes a couple minutes as I write it at night before going to bed or in some cases I write part of it during the day if I have a little time in the room between things we are doing. After that I took my computer back upstairs and then went down to find Kim as she was in the casino someplace.

I found Kim and we went over and got her a player’s card, if you go to Las Vegas and do any gambling get a card as you will at least get discount offers in the future or maybe some money off dinners. After that we went upstairs to see if Cassandra and Veronica where ready. Cassandra was but she needed to go pick up one of our girls at the airport that was flying in today and Veronica was still getting ready so Kim and I decided to walk over to the Freemont Street and look around. Now luck was on our side as the wind had died down some, wind is not a friend of a wig. We walked around and talked, Kim is having so much fun I am glad she could come down here and spend time with us. It is good for her. Kim wanted to get something to eat as it was almost 1 so we just picked a casino and went in, it was the four queens. We went to their restaurant and we ordered breakfast. We spent over an hour here and just had a wonderful time, it was great too just sit and talk with her as I have known her for several years but I got a chance to get to know a lot more about her which is always nice.

Cassandra texted us to see where we were so we told her and then we walked back to our hotel, stopping at Binions to pick up our picture, yes Kim and I got our picture taken with the Million dollars. We got back to the hotel and went up to the room and Veronica and Cassandra were ready so all 4 of us went downstairs to the casino. Being the middle of the day they didn’t have as many table games open so Cassandra sat down at the $25 table and Veronica and I found a $5 table. We played for a few hours and I was doing well as I was up when the dealer started getting hot ad since we had to leave at 6 to go to the opening dinner of Diva Las Vegas is quit. I bought in with $80 and cashed out $224 so I won back what a lost last night so I am basically even now give or take $20. I know I am not going to become rich off blackjack as I don’t bet enough but I play to have fun and hope to come out a little a head.

We got upstairs about 5:45 and Cassandra was ready for dinner so I changed dresses to something more suited for a night out and then went to see if Kim was ready as Cassandra and Veronica had already gone downstairs. Kim had bought one of those wrap dresses that you wrap around and tie and can make many different looks just by how you do it. Well she was having trouble so I helped her, I have never had to read instructions to figure out how to put on a dress. It took us a couple tries but soon we had it looking like one of the pictures kind of and we were off to meet the girls downstairs for the drive over to Bahama Breeze our favorite dinner of Diva Las Vegas.

We got to Bahama Breeze and there were already a lot of people there. It was good to see some of my friends I have met here over the years, Beverly and Cammie and several others. It is so great to see them again as it has been two years. Others from our group were also here tonight, Melissa and her wife, Karri, Michelle, Brenda, Teresa, Trish, Jessica and a couple others. We actually have 13 here this week so far from our group, one of our better turnouts. We got lots of pictures tonight. We had a wonderful dinner as always, Bahama Breeze is a wonderful place to go and the people who work here are awesome, I can’t say enough about this place. If you are in Las Vegas and want a nice place for dinner try this place. It was a wonderful night and I really enjoyed it.

We left here about 9:30 and went back to our hotel, now Veronica and Kim went down to the casino, Cassandra went to bed and I updated my blog so I could post it in the morning before going to bed. We are golfing tomorrow and need to leave for the golf course by 7:45 which means I need to be up by 6 to get ready and have time to run downstairs and ad pictures to this log and post it before we leave. It is hard to believe it is Monday night already and I have had my nails now for 4 days. I am already thinking about next Tuesday when I must remove my nails which will be sad.

Sunday and the official start or Diva Las Vegas

Sunday is here and tonight is the star of Diva Las Vegas. Now we stayed out gambling till 2 am so we slept in today, it was a little after 9 when I got up and started getting ready. Cassandra was also up and getting ready. I finished before her and went downstairs to post my blog from yesterday. This actually works out pretty good as I can sit between the hotel lobby and the casino and people watch and it really only takes me 5 minutes to do this as I write it in my room. I got back upstairs and Cassandra was ready but Veronica was still in bed.

Cassandra and I decided to go shopping at Charming Charlies which is in an outdoor mall at the other end of the Las Vegas strip. We drove down there and found the store and were able to park just a short walk from it. It was really nice mid 70’s and no wind. We walked down and went in. Cassandra was looking for a lot of things. I fund a couple bracelets I liked but Cassandra was still looking so I looked around and found another, Cassandra was still looking so I looked more and found yet another and even a necklace. I ended up buying more than I planned but they were all so cute. I bet we spent 45 minutes here maybe longer looking around.

When we left one of Cassandra’s Pal Talk friends who lives here in Las Vegas texted her. Cassandra has known her for years on Pal Talk, a video chat room and wanted to meet Cassandra so she texted Cassandra her address and we drove over to meet her, her name is Mechie (not sure of spelling). It is fun to meet new people. Well Mechie decided to spend the day with us so we headed back to our hotel to see if Veronica was up yet. We got there and Veronica was still getting ready so Cassandra Mechie and I walked over to the gold nugget to go to their buffet. It is only two blocks so not that far.

Now there was wall to wall people on the Freemont Street so it was fun to people watch, trust me you see all kinds of people there. We got to the golden Nugget and went in and up to the buffet to eat. It was about 3 when we got there so they were not busy as it was in between lunch and dinner, on the down side they also didn’t have that good of a selection of food. It was really good but $23 per person with tax. The best part was desert. The staff here was awesome, always called us ladies, came and talked with and when we left they all wished us a good day and told us to come back.

We went back to our casino and the 3 of us went to a Blackjack table to play. The dealers are still hot as they do not go bust, if you want to win you have to have a better hand then they do. I bought in with $100 and we did play for almost 4 hours. At one point I was down to $10 and at my high I had over $200. I left the table with $175 so this was my best night so far. Cassandra must take Mechie home and then go pick up Kim from the airport as she gets in at 9:30. It will be great to see her and get to spend some time with her socially. Cassandra left and Veronica and walked over to the Freemont Street to meet Melissa and her wife. They got here this afternoon and are downtown for the night.

We met up with them by the Golden Nugget. It was good to see them and I am sure they will have a lot of fun this week, they are here till Friday. We walked all the way down past the start of Freemont Street probably 6 blocks and it was packed. We just talked and walked and checked things out. We all walked back to our hotel and then Melissa and her wife called an Uber driver to pick them up and take them back to their hotel, they are at the Flamingo on the Las Vegas Strip. Veronica and I went up to the room and Cassandras had just gotten back and Kim was in her room unpacking, she is just a couple doors down from our room.

It was great to see Kim and she is so excited to be here, it is going to be fun. We all went down to do some gambling Cassandra, Veronica and I played Blackjack and Kim played some slot machines. Cassandra had her good night at least for about an hour so she is happy. I bought in with $140 miss counted my $20’s and we started playing, same as before though the tables are still cold. I got up a little and tried playing 2 hands at a time and didn’t do much that way stayed pretty even. Then I tried a few hands of $25 to $30 same thing just staying even. We played for a few hours and soon it was almost 2 am again. We were going to call it a night so I did something I have wanted to do, one big hand. I am not sure how much was in my stack probably between $110 and $125 but I put the whole stack out for 1 hand, most I have ever bet on one hand. I got a 7 & 6 for 13 and the dealer had a 4 showing just like the night had been going. Well you guessed it she dew to 19 and I lost. So, I am down about $65 for the day and less than $50 for the trip. I really hope the tables change and I can do better soon but still having fun. After I did this Cassandra did the same thing with just under $100 and then Veronica with about $60 and they had the same results. The dealers are just not busting hands, they seem to always get the cards they need.

We all went upstairs and called it a night. Tomorrow is another day although the wind is supposed to pick up the next few days.

Saturday our first full day in Las Vegas

It is Saturday and our first full day in Las Vegas, Diva Las Vegas doesn’t start till Sunday so we have the whole day to do whatever we want. We slept in till almost 9 as we were all tired and slept really well last night. We still hadn’t decided what we were going to do but I got ready as I needed to go downstairs and post my blog for Friday our trip down. As I noted the rooms are fine for what we need other than not having good light to do makeup. Now I really wanted to ware my red lipstick with my outfit for the day even though it is not a normal daytime color. I asked Cassandra if she was going with a red lipstick and she just replied, “when have I not worn red lipstick so it was settled red was the color of lipstick today. I got done with my makeup and decided I would ware one of my new Leggings the ones that I bought last week that comes midcalf. Well guess what, I did forget something. I left two of the 3 new leggings I bought at home. I am so sad. I had to go with the full-length leggings, still looks cute but not what I had planned on waring today.

By the time, I was ready Cassandra was almost ready and she also wanted to go downstairs with her computer and use their wi-fi so I waited for her. We figured we could do this while Veronica finished getting ready. In her words, she is not a morning person. Also, we got a call from Teresa, she is also coming to Diva Las Vegas Monday till Friday so we will have one more of our group here for the week.

We left the hotel a little after noon and headed for Planet Hollywood as we wanted to get tickets for a show at 4 pm. On the way, we were driving down Las Vegas Boulevard we saw the gold and silver pawn store where they film the Pawn Stars TV show which I love watching. We had to stop and go in. Now the people you see on the TV show were not there today which I really didn’t think we would meet them. But it was more to just say I was here and of course we got some pictures including this one with the stores logo on the floor. It was fun but the sad part is people who don’t know about Susan I can’t show the pictures too. Cassandra and Veronica each bought something here I just couldn’t find something I wanted. We spent probably here and even got a picture with the girl who we talked to about the TV show, she was really nice, I think her name was Cortney. As we were getting ready to leave a lady came over and asked if she could get a picture with us and of course I said yes so Cassandra and I got a picture with her. She either had a big group with her or others took the opportunity to get a picture of us as there were at least 5 cell phones taking pictures. Neither Cassandra or I thought to get one with our phones though.

We left there about 1 and continued to Planet Hollywood, we took back street to avoid traffic which didn’t work as it turns out there was a shooting on the Las Vegas Boulevard by the Cosmopolitan. It took us till almost 3 to get there, busy day here as there was also a robbery at the Bellagio next door overnight. Wow a lot of excitement here today. We got to Planet Hollywood and walked through the mall to the casino as Cassandra and I forgot our player’s cards for Caesars. If you come to Las Vegas and do any gambling take advantage of the player’s cards. You will get discount offers for future visits and also get rewards you can use for dinners. We got our cards and then walked back to the box office to heat tickets for the show. There was a long line and Cassandra asked the guy behind the desk about tickets for the show today and he said they were already sold out. That was disappointing so we looked for something to eat.

We ended up at Panda Express in the mall. We wanted something quick and not too big or expensive as we just needed something. After dinner, we decided to go back to our hotel as the casino here was really busy and they only had a few Blackjack tables that were $15 and the rest were $25. On the way, back through the mall to where we parked we saw this photo booth where they take your face picture and put it on the face. Well Cassandra and I both tried it and well you guessed it we both walked away with a picture of us on the cover of Playboy. I will scan it in when I get home and put it in a future blog. She really did a nice job softening my face and making it look feminine.

We went back to our hotel casino and played some Blackjack for a while, I was up and down and finally we took a break. I was up $5. We walked over to Binions Casino and Cassandra and I wanted to get pictures with the Million dollars. There was a group of girls in line in front of us celebrating a bridal party and they had us come up with them and be in their picture also, after that Cassandra and I took a picture with just the two of us which I will also have to post later when I can scan it in.

We walked over to the Fremont Hotel casino which is a sister property of where we are staying. It is smaller and not as many tables so Cassandra sat down at a $25 table to play and she did well for a while. Well she gave Veronica and I each a $25 chip to play and told us if we won we owed her the chip back. I sat down and put in $100 of my own money just so I could say I played. I won the first hand and gave her the $25 chip back and kept playing. At one point, I had over $300 and I should have quit. The table turned cold and before I knew it I was down to $122 so I quit. We walked back to our hotel and played a little while longer, it was a fun evening and again I was up and down. It was about 2 am when I called it a night. I lost $17 here so my final total for the day was I won $11. I am not going to get rich at this rate but I am having fun.

I got back to my room and finished this blog and will add the pictures in the morning and upload it.

Friday and on our way to Las Vegas for Diva Las Vegas 2017

Friday is here and we are leaving for our long drive to Las Vegas. I got up at 1 am to get ready, it was a short night. It was just a couple minutes after 2 when Cassandra and I left for our drive to Las Vegas, our hope to be there by 6 pm. The drive down I-5 was really rainy but then this is Oregon, it never stopped and sometimes it came down hard. We got to Eugene and headed up towards the pass. Just a few miles before the pass it started to snow and snow hard. there was anywhere from slush to a couple inches of snow on the road and we had that all the way to Klamath Falls. It put us behind schedule as we were driving 4o miles an hour for over 2 hours, Cassandra may miss part of her Basketball game tonight. From Klamath Falls to almost Alturas it kept snowing but the roads were fine so we were not falling behind schedule anymore. It is good we left earlier today. Now just before Alturas I took over driving and drove all the way to Beatty. It was a good drive and I loved seeing my pretty nails. Cassandra tells me I have a nail fetish, I don’t like that term but I guess it is true as it is the first thing I notice on woman. I do love pretty nails.

Cassandra took over driving from Beatty and I wrote my blog for yesterday as we traveled to Las Vegas and of course took a selfie, this is after 14 hours in the car. We got to our hotel the California and went in to check in. There was no line so we got right up to the front. Cassandra explained about Diva Las Vegas as she was checking in. I gave her my driver’s license and credit card. My Susan credit card without thinking so it didn’t match my ID as I jokingly told her I looked a little different then my picture. She told me I looked very pretty which after 16 hours in the car made me feel good. I realized I gave her the Susan credit card so I gave her the male one so it would match the ID. She didn’t seem the least bit bothered by it. Looked at the ID and both credit cards and asked me if I wanted to be registered as Susan and I really thought about it but then told her to use my male name just in case there were any issues later. She said fine like it was no big deal.

WE got to our rooms and settled in. Now it was early and while Cassandra watched her game she also got ready to go out. I touched up my makeup and went and picked Veronica up as she is in town for the week. Her and I are sharing a room.

We got back to the hotel and got her stuff to the room and Cassandra was almost ready, her team lost by the way. It was about 9 when the 3 of us went downstairs to get something to eat. We went to the café which is open 24 hrs. a day. We had a nice late night supper before play a little blackjack. Cassandra won some money and Veronica and I lost. Cassandra cashed in and veronica and I move to another table where I was able to win back what I lost plus $5 so I am also a winner tonight. Now Cassandra and I were tired so we called it a night a little after midnight, it has been a long day. Veronica was off to gamble a little more. On a side note our hotel room is nice nothing fancy but comfortable and since we are here to have fun and not sit in the room. We will basically be in the room to sleep, get dressed and maybe update my blog so this room is very good. The only drawback is you must pay for in room wi-fi, probably why they don’t charge a resort fee. Now they do have free guest wi-fi in the casino and hotel lobby so I have found a work around. I am writing my blog in the room and then go down to the lobby by the casino where they have some sitting areas and connect there to post these blogs. I may even write some of them from there and people watch while I do my blog. It will be my morning routine I guess.

Okay one bad thing about the hotel is the lighting for doing makeup in the bathroom is not really good. I ended up doing most of my makeup with my little mirror I brought in front of the window, wonder what to people in the other tower thought seeing me doing my makeup in the window.

We haven’t decided what we will do tomorrow but it is late so we will figure that out in the morning.

Thursday night before Diva Las Vegas

Thursday is here and my vacation starts, I got off work early and rushed home. I have a 3:30 nail appointment to get my nails done. Acrylic nails, long pretty nails. It has been two years since I last had acrylic nails so I am really looking forward to it. I am all packed and ready to go. I got home and got ready turning myself into Susan for the next 12 days. I was all ready by 3 and put thing in my car and one last look to make sure I was not forgetting anything. Now I was on my way to the Salon which only takes a couple minutes.

I got there at 3:15 and went in, there were a few ladies there getting their nails done but Anna was waiting for me so she could start my nails as soon as I picked out my color, Ferrari red to match my toes. Yes, I love red nails. Anna did a great job as always. She removed the gel polish and glued on tips and cut to the length I wanted, between ¼ & ½ inch. A little shorter than I would have liked but they must be short enough to hold a golf club. Now she put the Acrylic on the nails and shaped and smoothed them out, they looked so wonderful and natural. Anna told me they looked very natural and I could keep them and just trim them back and no one would notice. Now I was looking at them and wondering if she was right and I could keep them, I so want to.

Now it was time for the polish, I went for the gel polish. A little more expensive but I don’t have to worry about messing the polish up as they are dry in minutes. I think all the times I have gotten acrylic nails over the year maybe once I didn’t mess up the polish getting into the car or putting the seatbelt on. They looked so beautiful, I so want to keep them. It was 4:15 when I walked out of the salon with my beautiful nails.

Now I was driving to Cassandra’s house as we are leaving for Diva Las Vegas Friday morning. Cassandra was still packing when I got there about 5:30. She is taking way more than I am but I still have way more than I need, at least 20 dresses probably more, 4 pairs of Capri’s, 3 pairs of Jegging’s, 3 pairs of legging’s, 6 pairs of heels and a few other casual shoes.

Peggy brought home dinner which was really good and very nice of them to have me for dinner tonight. I am so looking forward to being Susan for 12 days. The only thing I brought of my male self is my Divers License and a male credit card. We had a very nice dinner and talked about our trip. It is sad Peggy can’t go with us. Cassandra is a big college basketball fan and she wants to watch a game Friday night that starts at 6:30 so we decided to leave at 2 AM instead of 4 so now being almost 9 pm I decided to go to bed so I could get a few hours sleep. Cassandra will travel as her male self but as I am Susan I will need at least an hour in the morning to get ready so I will be up at 1 am, short night but I can’t wait. So Thursday day 1 as Susan comes to an end. Now I had to get one picture before going to bed.

Saturday night out at South Side Speakeasy in Salem

Saturday is here and tonight our group is going to Salem to the South Side Speakeasy. Now our group has been going here once a month for a while but I have never made it on one of these nights, the last time I was at South Side Speakeasy was probably 8 to 10 years ago, I was really looking forward to tonight. I started getting ready early as I wanted to get down there earlier. I was ready and on my way by 5:15. It is a little over an hour drive to get there. It was a nice drive and I got to Speakeasy at 6:30. No I had to get a Selfie in the car before going in.

I went in and Jan and Lynn were already there. I sat and joined them to wait for others to show up. Now here is the funny part. I was just sitting there and had not ordered anything when the bartender came over and told me he needed to see my ID. Wow I have not been carded in years, I was so flattered. Of course, when he said “Wow and stated my age” I was still flattered that I looked good enough to be carded but in the back of my mind was the thought he was shocked how old I was. I guess I will look on the positive side that he thought I was a lot younger then I am.

Cassandra showed up about 7:15, now they were not busy as it was still early. It was good to be out with my friends before we go to Diva Las Vegas next Friday. Karen was the next to show up, she lives here in Salem also Kelly another girl from Salem. I have not met them before so it was wonderful to finally meet them. I really do like meeting new people when I am out. They both seem really nice and I look forward to seeing them again. Jessica also showed up, she is from Portland and came down for the night at least for a little while. I met her when we had the clothing exchange last year. It was good to talk with her. She is also going to Diva Las Vegas this year. She will have a lot of fun with us.

We talked about Diva Las Vegas for a while. We have 9 going for sure and a few others that are still trying to work it out. Even Kim our favorite waitress from Harvey’s, I always refer to her as our favorite waitress just to distinguish her from the other Kim’s in our group but she is really a friend to all of us and sense she no longer works at Harvey’s I guess it should our friend Kim. She is also going for a few days. It will be so fun to have her there. It really is going to be a fun week.

Samantha from Eugene also showed up tonight. Funny as I was driving down I thought I should have e-mailed her we would be there. Well it turns out she read my blog that we would be there and showed up. It was great to see her again as it has been a while. We talked for a while she is thinking of going to Diva Las Vegas next year. It was turning out to be a wonderful night.

Laura M. and her friend showed up also so we had 9 of us here tonight. All that was missing was Mikaela, I had really hoped she would make it out, I was looking forward to see her again and talking with her. We actually had more girls from Portland area here tonight than from the Salem area.

As it got later it got really busy and they started the music for dancing. It was a good crowd but it was loud so we moved into the other room where it was not as loud so we could talk. Cassandra and I firmed up our plans, I will get my nails done Thursday afternoon and then go over to her place for the night. That way we can get up early and be on our way. Wow it is hard to believe that in less than a week we will be in Las Vegas.

It was amazing how fast the night went, I had planned on leaving by 10 pm but it was almost 11 when I left. It is funny as I think this is the first time I have been out and left before Samantha. By now it was really busy and I was sad to leave. It took me a little over and hour to get home. It was a fun night out. Now all my effort and thought will be about Diva Las Vegas as I doubt I will get a chance to be Susan again till Thursday. It will be so much fun, 12 days living as Susan. The only thing I will have from my male life on the trip is my driver’s license and one credit card, other than that it will be all Susan.

Friday night out

It has been a long busy week, trying to get things caught up and things I need for my trip to Diva Las Vegas which is now only a week away. Next Friday March 24 Cassandra and I will leave early and make the drive to Las Vegas. Hard to believe it is here already, we have our hotel reservations, our activities signed up for and yes, we are doing the golf tournament which Cassandra is overseeing. That is one of the cool things about Diva Las Vegas, it is all volunteer based. Every event is set up and coordinated by a volunteer. This is the reason there is no cost to attend. A lot of these girls put in a lot of time doing this and some do it year after year, we owe them a big thanks for what they do so if you go please be sure and thank the people who set up these events as that is really all they get for what they do.

I started getting ready as soon as I got home as I wanted to get out early as I am tired and won’t stay out to late tonight. I was on my way and got to Sweet Home a little before 6. Chris and Robyn were already there but at a different table as another couple had the table we always sit at, I always call it our table but it really is not. Chris and Robyn were playing pool so I got out my computer. Now we were at the big table in the middle of the room which usually the other group who gets here later takes so when the couple which were at our normal table left which was only about 10 minutes after I got here we moved over to that table to leave the bigger table open.

Now being St. Patrick’s Day the special was Corned Beef & Cabbage which is not one of my favorites so I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak instead. Now Roxy showed up so we had our normal group for a Friday night. It was a normal crowed here so far but always a fun group of people. This really is a friendly bar to go to. I played on my computer for a while and caught up on some things I had to do. Computers do make it easy to do things away from home.

It started getting busy around 9 and of course o was starting to feel more tired as it has been a long week and I have been getting up earlier every day. I bought an Elliptical for my home use which I got about 2 weeks ago, I did like the gym I was going to Snap Fitness as it was close to where I live and not to expensive but there was one problem. Being a neighborhood gym and smaller they don’t have showers which during the summer wasn’t an issue but I found the last few months with the cold, wet and snow we got it made it hard. Working out at the gym and getting all hot and sweaty and then going outside didn’t work for me and where I was going almost every day from June till Christmas over the last 2 months I was lucky to make it once a week so I am now working out at home. That being said I have been getting up a little before 3 am to work out for minutes before getting ready for work. This makes for a really long day and you wouldn’t think getting up 45 minutes early would make that big of a difference. I think I will go back to working out when I get home from work.

Karaoke started about 9:45 and they had a list of people to sing. It really is fun to listen to people sing, some are good and some not so good but they all are willing to get up and sing and you have to give them credit for that. By 10 I was really feeling the long days I could have fallen asleep at the table, who knows maybe I did a little. It was a fun night out and good to see my friends which with going to Diva Las Vegas I will not be out here now for 3 weeks. It was about 10:30 when we called it a night, I guess we are not the late crowd we use to be. I plan on sleeping in on Saturday to get rested up as I am planning on going down to Salem to the South Side Speakeasy Saturday to see my friends down there. The group has been going down there once a month for a while and I have not made it yet. The last time I was there was probably 8 to 10 years ago, when I went down to meet Alice. It will be a fun night and then after that it will be getting ready for Diva Las Vegas as I probably won’t get out again till Thursday when I go and get my acrylic nails for the trip.
