My life as a heterosexual crossdresser.

Saturday night at the Escape

It is once again Saturday and that means I get to go to the Escape for some Susan time and see my friends and hang out with people. I look forward to my Susan time and this week even more as I was not able to make it out on Wednesday night. now I posted in our group I would be there between 6 & 7 but I always try to get there early. Well I started getting ready a little late and it took a little longer as I was taking my time and enjoying my transformation from my male side to female so it was just after 5:30 when I was ready and on my way. I got to the Escape right at 6 and the parking lot was full so I had to park out on the street which really is not that far, a quick selfie before I got out of my car. I got inside and there were a lot of people there but most at the bar so I got my normal table. I ordered dinner and started on my blog from last Saturday, yes I am a week behind again. I was just finishing up when Amber arrive, she had posted she would be here but was a little earlier than she said. She likes to play poker and was in a tournament today but got knocked out a little earlier than she hoped. I was glad as it was nice to see her. I posted my blog from last week and put away my computer so we could talk as it has been a while since I have seen her out. My dinner came and we sat and talked while we ate.

Michelle showed up so we were up to 3 of us and it wasn’t even 7 yet, we really do like to get here early and socialize. Robin and Bobbie showed up at 7 so we were up to 5 and later on we would have 1 more from our group show up. A small group but still fun. Robin lives up near Seattle but gets down here every so often and it seems she was in town this weekend with her daughter to go to Comic con which is in Portland this weekend, I didn’t know. Robins daughter is really accepting and the two of them go out all the time and she is always posting pictures of them together so I asked where her daughter was, she was back at the hotel. Turns out her daughter is a lot younger than I thought. I just assumed she was over 21. We sat and talked as we watched the Oregon Ducks football game. I have said many times I watch way more sports as Susan as everything just seems better and more fun as Susan. it really was great to sit and talk with everyone but especially Amber and Robin as I don’t get to see them as often. Robin is just so fun as she always has a smile on her face.

As it got closer to 9 it got busier and the next big table was reserved for a birthday party and 3 people sat down. They had a huge cake and about 9:30 they lit the candles and everyone sang happy birthday to the birthday girl. Karaoke was going and of course it got loud so it was hard to talk as always but it was also cold in here tonight as they had the air conditioner going. They do this a lot and I always bring my sweater and I hardly ever wear open toed heels as if my feet get cold, I am done. My dress was also thicker and quarter sleeves more of a winter dress and I was glad I wore it tonight. I really don’t know why they keep it so cold here. All of us commented to each other about how cold it was and there were a few girls in outfits that I figured they had to be cold in. one of the draw backs of being female as the cloths are made more for how they look not so much keeping you warm.

Now again the music sang tonight a lot of it I didn’t know but it was still fun and there were a lot of good singers. Amber was the first to leave around 11 and it wouldn’t be long before the rest of us would call it a night. Now Robin and I had to get pictures together and she said it was okay to post, actually she had them posted on her Facebook page as soon as we took them. It was such a fun night with Robin. She left and I went up and paid my bill and then I also called it a night, it was about 11:30 when I left and it felt good to go outside as it was warmer than inside and felt good. Now I don’t know how cold it was inside tonight but, in my car, it said it was 67 outside and it was noticeably warmer outside then inside.

It was just before midnight when I got home, later than I planed but it was such a fun night it will be worth being tired tomorrow. My hope, plan for tomorrow is to get time in the afternoon and evening so I will get this blog posted quicker. I also have to pick a few things up for work so I will probably do a little shopping depending on how late I am at Starbucks and how late the places I have to go as it will be a Sunday evening.

Saturday night September 7th at the Escape

Okay once again I find myself writing my blog a week later as it has been a really busy week. Last Saturday I did get out to the Escape to enjoy some Susan time and hopefully meet up with some friends. Now I was able to get there early, a little before 6 which was nice as it gave me some time to write my blog from Wednesday night’s dinner. I did take a quick selfie in the car. Now they were a little busier than normal at this time but I was able to get my normal table as most people sit at the bar. I set up my computer and wrote my blog before I went up to order food as I ate a late lunch. Tonight, I did a breakfast including pancakes instead of my normal burger. Just as I finished my blog Michelle showed up, she has been getting out pretty regular although she doesn’t stay late.

It was nice to sit and talk with her, I actually really enjoy the social aspect of a good conversation. A little after 7 Bobbie showed up so we had 3 of us tonight. We had a nice dinner and a wonderful time. Around 8 it started getting busy as another big group came in and sat at the next table. I really like it when it is a little busier as it is fun to people watch as there is a good diverse group that comes here. There were people looking for places to sit and a young man came over and asked if they could share our table and as we only had of us at a table that had 8 chairs I said yes and we moved to one end of the table. This was nice as I did get a chance to talk with them some over them evening. Just before Karaoke started Michelle left and it was just Bobbie and me.

At 9 Karaoke started and as always it gets a little loud so Bobbie moved to the next small table back just to my right but I stayed at the end of the table I was at as my chair had a back instead of a bar stool. Besides the dress I wore tonight was a little short so I wanted to be sitting closer to the floor plus it is really tight so I also had my corset on tonight and a chair is just more comfortable. To the right is an older picture of me in the dress.

Well as I sat there one of the ladies at the next table introduced herself to me and engaged me in conversation, her name was Emily and she was really nice. She also introduced me to her wife Venessa and they were just such a nice couple and I talked with them on and off between songs. Emily asked if I was going to sing and I told her no. I won’t go up and sing by myself, I only sing with other people. Any way she asked if I would sing with her so I said yes. She asked what song I wanted to do and yes you guessed it if you have read previous blogs, “I’ve had the time of my life” as it is one song I know well and is pretty even tone and slow, so she went up and put our names in.

Now the songs tonight was about half ones I knew and half that I wasn’t familiar with at least not enough to sing along with. I talked on and off with Emily and some with her wife and had a great time. Finally, it was our turn to sing and we went up and had a good time. I did notice it is way harder to sing in a corset as you can’t get as deep a breath and by the end of the song, I knew it. Emily thanked me for singing with her and I did the same and she said we will have to do it again and I agreed.

Soon it was after 10 and no Lauri again this week and she is pretty reliable as far as being here every week. Makes me wonder if she is okay. That is one of the problems with the gender community as some of us we only know one side of people and it can make it hard to get in touch with them. Hopefully she will be out next week. I stayed till after 11 before I was ready to call it a night. I paid my bill and said goodbye to Bobbie and also Emily and her wife Venessa. I do hope I see them again. I have met some wonderful people here. It was sad to see the night come to an end but I knew it must. I wont get out this week so my next time out will be next Saturday when I once again come to the Escape.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what I am doing now.

Wednesday night dinner at Old Town Pizza

It is once again Wednesday and that means going out to dinner with my friends and tonight, we are going to Old Town Pizza downtown Portland. We have gone here many times over the last few years and always treated well and good food. Now I got home late, 5:45 so it would be a rush to get ready and be there by 7 so I the way home I decided what I would wear and how I would do my makeup, actually my makeup really is the same with maybe which color lipstick I wear. I got ready as quickly as I could and was out the door at 6:30 and there was a little traffic so I got there right at 7 and found a parking spot right in front of the door. As I got out of my car Jennifer walked up so we walked in together.

Melissa and Patty were already there and shortly after I got there Barb and Kris showed up, barb is back from here vacation and we were all looking forward to hearing about it. Dawnie and Aril also showed up, I think this is their second time out with the group so we had 8 of us here tonight. We are getting good turnouts for our Wednesday night dinners which is good. We talked for a while before we went up and ordered some food. Several of us ordered pizza to share so there was more then enough food to go around. I of course got my Canadian Bacon and Pineapple which is my favorite pizza.

Now I was between Jennifer and Patty with Melissa and Barb across from me so these were the ones I got to talk to the most although I did manage to talk with Kris, Dawnie and April some. I even got my Selfie for the night. Our food came and we all sat and ate pizza, (a few of the girls had Salads also) and talked and just had a wonderful time. The Wednesday night dinners really are a wonderful event as we get to talk and get to know each other better. I think that is why we are getting such a good turnout for them.

After we finished eating, we just sat and talked it really was a nice evening out made all the more special by my friends. I had got a text from Julie earlier wishing us a fun time, she is out of town for a few weeks and we all missed her tonight. It was probably 9:40 when we called it a night, it is amazing how fast these nights go. It was a little after 10 when I got home.

Thanks for reading and be sure and check out my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Labor Day Monday and some Susan time

Happy Labor Day everyone!

It is Monday, Labor Day and I have the morning and early afternoon free and what better way to enjoy it then as Susan and some shopping. Yes, I actually got up at 6:30 am to get ready with hopes of being on my way by 8. Now it is kind of different to get up in the morning and become Susan, usually just during Diva Las Vegas I get to do this as the rest of the time it is later in the day. it is fun starting the day this way. I was all ready and, on my way, a little after 8. Now my plans for the day are simple, want to go to Clackamas Town Center for a little shopping, stop at the cemetery and put flowers on my Dads grave, hard to believe it has been almost a year since he passed away (September 20 2018) and of course some time at Starbucks to write my blog for Sunday but other then that the rest I will just wing it and have fun.

I was on my way and figured I would start at Clackamas Town center but as I was driving, I realized it was just before 9 and I don’t think they open till 10 so a quick change in plans and so I got off the freeway at Johnson creek and went to the Fred Meyers there to get flowers as the Cemetery is not far from there and I could stop there first. I went in and looked around a little before picking out my flowers and then I was off to put them on my Dads grave. Now being a Holiday I was not sure how busy the cemetery would be. I got there and picked up a holder for the flowers and then went and parked by the section my Dad is in, there was one other car and a man and woman at a grave site in the wall on the path I will walk on. I got out and put the flowers in the cup and started up the path now it actually splits so I walked behind the wall and above but I knew they could see me. I got about half way up and realized I walked past a water faucet and I could have put water in the holder so I walked back down past them again and got water. I was on my way back up and as I passed by where they were the lady spoke up and asked if she could ask me a question. Now of course we all know what came to my mind but I said sure and it turns out she just wanted to know where I got the flower holder so I told her and she thanked me.

I got to my Dads grave site and placed the flowers. As I said it is hard to believe it has been almost a year. I never told my Dad about this side of my life, about Susan the daughter he didn’t know he had. Now whenever I come here by myself it is as Susan. I spent about 20 minutes here. Now I did get a quick picture as I left. Now I was off to Clackamas Town Center. I got there just after 10 and parked by Pennies and went in. I have found a few really cute dresses here and was hoping to find another. Now they had a big selection and most were on sale for 40% to 50% off but again my size I just a little bigger than the average female. I found two I really liked and they were less then $40 with the discount but they only had up to a size 16 so I headed out into the mall to look around. Now I really didn’t need anything but I always hope I find something. It is funny as my male side it is very logical when I buy things, do I need them, will I use them do I really need them. My female side is a little more, well is it cute and does it fit. Yes, my female side has my male side wrapped around her little finger. I looked around Macy’s, H&K, Nordstrom’s and of course Victoria’s Secret, I even went into the spirit Halloween costume shop. Yes, they are up already.

I stayed here till about 11:45 and it was not busy at all. I really thought on a Holiday there would be a lot more people out shopping. But it was nice and relaxing to just wander around the mall. I did get one selfie in the mall and you can see behind me there was no one. I left here and decided to stop at Cascade station by the airport on my way home. I got there about noon and this was totally different as there were people everywhere. I went into Ross and looked around and again found nothing I liked that would fit me. I also went into ULTA and looked around and a quick stop at Best Buy just to look. It was nice just to be out. I then drove down the street to Target to look around. I checked out their makeup section, I had bought an eye shadow here last year and really liked it, kind of a silver that I use on the inside corner of my eye and it was really good, made by Maybelline. I wanted to get another one and maybe a few more shades as it was only $2 or $3 but they didn’t have them. It is really hard to find single colors as they all seem to be pallets of eye shadows and I have a few but I find I use just a few of the colors and it seems like a waste. I did buy some other things I needed but nothing really for Susan.

I left here and then was debating about getting something to eat or just going to Starbuck. I decided on Starbucks as I figured I could get something to eat after on my way home. of course, I went to the ne I go to all the time. I did think about going to the one right by my house as I won’t be out late but wound up at my regular one. It is still within a mile of home, so different then 10 years ago when I drove a half hour, about 18 miles cross town to go to Starbucks. Now Starbucks was also busy and there were only a couple seats at the counter and 1 table in the middle so I set my computer on the table in the middle and went and ordered my drink and a cookie. The young man at the counter was awesome, he is new and I think this is his first week but he treated me wonderful, always referred to me as Miss. I got my drink and cookie and sat down and started working on my blog from last night.

Now I really do want to get back to doing my blogs faster but there is just something about being out as Susan and writing my blog as Susan. I got the blog done and figure I will post later tonight. I also started this blog and wrote about what I did earlier that way all I will have to do is finish it later. I had been here about an hour and a table opened by the window so I moved over, I plugged my computer I just so others would think I moved because I needed to not just because I wanted to sit by the window. A little later someone I know came in, now that is the other advantage of where I sit as people coming in are looking to the counter where they order so they really cant look at me till they order or really get there drink and start to leave or go find a seat so I just kept my head down. Now it turns out he didn’t leave and he sat at the table behind me and got his computer out. So here we sat with hi behind me looking at my back. He only stayed about 45 minutes but it was an interesting feeling.

I stayed here till about 3:30 before I left and went to Pana Express to get something to eat. Then it was time to go home and change back to my male self. I got home about 4:15 and my day of Susan came to an end but it was fun. Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Sunday and some Susan time at Starbucks finally.

It is Sunday of Labor Day weekend and I have some free time and that means Susan gets to go to Starbucks for a few hours and catch up on her blogs. Now I have been behind on my blogs for weeks, I use to do them the very next day but I really do like writing them as Susan which can mean a few days late as I am not Susan every day. the problem with this is you can get way behind if things don’t work right. My goal is to be all caught up by the end of the Holiday weekend. It was after 3 when I started getting ready my goal was to be to Starbucks by 4:30 as the one I go to is open till 8:30 and that would give me 4 hours. I was right on time as I was ready and out the door by 4:15 and it only takes a few minutes to get there. When I got there, I had to park out a way as they seemed really busy but a lot of people were sitting out front at the tables as it was a nice day out. I went in and they were still busy inside but there was 1 table open along the windows so I set my computer on it before going up to order. I like these tables as I can plug my computer in when I need to.

The lady at the counter greeted me and said it was good to see me again, she did have to ask my name which was okay as I haven’t been coming here as regular as I was for a while, I hope to fix that and start coming here on Sundays more regular. It really is a nice relaxing way to spend time on your computer. I got my drink and sat down and started working on my blog from Wednesday night’s dinner at Mothers Bistro, With that blog done and posted I moved on to some e-mails I was behind on. You don’t realize how things can pile up. With my e-mails all caught up it was on to Last night’s blog at the Escape. It is a lot easy doing a blog the next day when it is still fresh in your mind. I got this blog done but decided I would wait till the morning to post it as some people subscribe to my blog and get an e-mail when I post and I didn’t want to hit them twice so fast. I figured I could post in the morning before I go out, yes Monday Labor Day I have off and I have the morning free and so that means a little more Susan time and some shopping.

Now it was only about 6:30 so I had some time to just spend in the internet. Now last Saturday I was talking to Nicole at the Escape and I have been looking at home security cameras but was trying to figure out how to run the wires and she told me about one called Wyze you can get at Home Depot. They run off your Wi-Fi so no wires needed you just need to plug them in, they are indoor ones but I figured I could out them inside my windows looking out so I went to Home Depot’s web page to look at them, they are $36 and looked like they were pretty good and the Home Depot at Jantzen Beech had 60 of them so I decided I was going to go get couple and try them.

I left Starbucks and drove to Home Depot and went in now as Susan this is probably the place, I have gone the least as Susan but still fun. Now I had no idea where to look and Nicole told me her story about trying to find them in Home Depot so I found the first employee I could and asked him where they were. He told me the back corer so that is where I went. I found security lights but no cameras. I saw another employee coming out of the back room so I asked her and she said she new and took me over to where I was just looking. She called someone and as she waited for an answer we walked up to the middle of the store and found the Ring doorbells and cameras but still not the Wyze. About this time the first man I asked came over, he was the one she called. He also thought they would be here. So, Marry the female employee said she would go get handheld and find out how many they had and where they were. The other man stood there for a while with me and showed me how they worked, he got one at his home to test it and said they worked really well. Marry came back and confirmed what I had told her that they had 60 of them. She said we should walk up front and see if they were up there as most are in a locked area up front as they are small and easy to steal. The lady upfront wasn’t sure what we were talking about but opened up the area for us to look and still now luck. I was explaining about them and she asked if they were really small and I said yes and that made the difference. She slid the other side open and on the floor was a 4-gallon bucket with a bunch of little square boxes about 3 inches by 3 inch and that was them. I told them I wanted 2 and as it turns out I was right next to the self-checkout so it was easy to pay for them. Now I will say the people here were great and really worked to find what I wanted especially Marry. So, now it was home to set them up.

On the way home I did stop by the Subway by my house and got a sandwich to take home as I have not eaten yet. I got home and went to set them up. Now the instructions you get with it are not that good but you can go to YouTube and there is a 2 minute video that walks you through it and yes it really is that easy. You can view live on your smartphone and you get 14 days’ worth of cloud storage plus they have a memory chip in them also that you can go back and look at. They really are great little cameras and even have night vision and 2-way audio so you can hear people in your house and talk to them. Have not had time to figure that out yet but so far, I am impressed. I can now see what is out front of my house before I come home. Thanks, Nicole, for the tip. You can also take this with you and set up anyplace you have Wi-Fi so I am thinking you could take it on vacation and set up in your hotel room.

It was a fun relaxing Sunday for Susan. thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new.

Saturday night at the Escape and the end of August.

It is the last Saturday of August, actually the last day of August and yes, I am going to the Escape tonight for some Susan time and hopefully, more important to spend time with my friends. It really is amazing how fast this summer is going; it is hard to believe it is Labor Day weekend already. I posted in the group I would be there between 6 & 7 but no one posted back and being a Holiday weekend, it could be slow but I am still going. I started getting ready about 4:30 as I got home late, things my male self-had to do today. I was on my way by 5:30 and got to the Escape right at 6. Of course, I had to get a selfie in the car before going in. Now I like getting here early as it does give me a chance to play on my computer and catch up on my blogs as I am behind on two of them, Last Saturday night here at the Escape and also our Wednesday night dinner at Mothers Bistro this past week. Now I decided to wait to order dinner as I ate late in the afternoon so I sat down and started on last weeks blog. There were a few people here mostly at the bar but a couple at the next table watching the Oregon ducks football game and I must admit I kind of watched it as I wrote my blog.

I was just finishing my blog when Michelle showed up plus, I knew Bobbie would be here a little after 7. With my blog posted I went up and ordered dinner, my normal hamburger. It was just after 7 when Jan & Lynn showed up and shortly after Bobbie so we had 5 of us here. It was great to see Jan and Lynn again as it has been awhile. As I have said I have made some wonderful friends and when I don’t see them, I miss them. It is really amazing as when I first started going out, I never could imagine the friends I would make as Susan would not let people get close to her. now I would guess maybe 20 of the girls in the group has seen me as my male self. Now with my blog done I put away my computer to talk with my friends and yes watch the end of the Oregon Ducks football game. It really is funny the things Susan does. As for sports I am a baseball person, don’t follow or watch Basket Ball or Football yes, I have watched it a little with my dad growing up but really wasn’t interested but Susan can have fun watching it at a bar. I always tell people that my closest friends on my male side if you told them you saw me in a bar dressed as a woman I think they would be more shocked I was in a bar as they all know I don’t drink, just never cared for it, but the same would go for watching football. The game was good and Oregon dominated the first half but fell apart in the second half and right in the final seconds lost the game. It was sad as most people here are big Duck fans.

With the game over some of the people left and it was kind of quiet for a little while till it got close to 9 when Karaoke starts. Now they had some reserved signs on several tables as there is a big group coming in later so I knew it would be real busy tonight. At 9 Karaoke started and people started singing including Lynn as she always sings. Now it was good but tonight most of the songs I didn’t know, I like to think the people picking the songs were just picking obscure songs instead of believing that they were just newer songs I didn’t know as I listen to 106.9 the classic hits station here in Portland, 70’s 80’s & 90’s. Wow I remember growing up and my parents would listen to the oldies and I thought that was so strange and now I do it, I guess my age shows a little. Any way I didn’t sing along with many tonight but it was fun to listen. The big group came in around 10 and then it was really busy and of course there were a lot of new singers but the mix stayed the same songs I didn’t know.

I went up to the bar to get another drink, Sprite and one of the ladies at the bar complimented me on my bracelets and we talked for a little bit. I love having interaction with other people this way. I also had another lady come over to our table and compliment me on my lipstick. I told her I loved red and it turns out she does too but didn’t think she could wear red lipstick as it is so bright. I told her she would look great in it as in my mind everyone looks good in red, did I mention I love the color red. Now I know the lipstick I wear here on Saturday night is really red and bright but it is a bar on a Saturday night. I would not wear this color during the day or going someplace casual but it is Saturday night.

We ended up with 6 of us here tonight so a good turnout for a Holiday weekend. It was after 11 when Jan & Lynn left and I finally I went up and paid my bill, what a fun night. now I hope to get caught up on my blogs this weekend as I am planning on going to Starbucks Sunday afternoon and then on Monday I don’t have to work and don’t have anyplace to be till the late afternoon for a BBQ and I am just letting people think I am working so I can go out in the morning and early afternoon. I want to do a little shopping and stop by and put some flowers on my Dads grave. My male self takes my mom there every so often but I also want to go there as Susan. although he never met me this way, the daughter he never knew he had I like to think he knows now and I hope he would be happy with her.

Thanks for reading and be sure and read my newest blog to see what is new in my life.

Wednesday night dinner at Mothers Bistro

It is Wednesday and our group is doing dinner tonight at Mothers Bistro, we have gone here many times and it is always wonderful. Normally we get a big turnout the last few times it was 10 or more but tonight only 4 of us responded so it looks like a small group tonight. Might be the weather as it is in the 90’s today and it can be hard for us in the heat as we all need more makeup then the average lady plus some of us have padding on to get the right curves, it is hard and takes work to be female. Now I did manage to slide out of work early which is nice as it gives me time to enjoy getting ready and also, I will have enough time to pick Julie up. Normally I get hoe between 5:30 and 5:45 and sense it takes me about a half hour to get back downtown Portland it is normally a rush but I was home tonight by 4:20. I texted Julie to see if she wanted a ride, I was pretty sure she would as it is just way more fun to go together plus it gives us a chance to talk on the way there and home. I was ready and on y way to Julies a little after 5:30 and got to here house a little after 6.

Julie had left the door open for me so I went in and she was just finishing up getting ready. We had both chosen to wear light summer dresses as it is over 90 right now. I really do need to go and get some more summer dresses and some casual dresses more that I could wear during the day. Melissa has some really cute but casual dresses she wears and looks awesome in; I think she got them at Old Navy so I will have to go there and look. It was about 6:15 when we were on our way and going into Portland there was no traffic so it didn’t take long. I found a parking spot right on the corner in front. We went in and Melissa was already there so we went and got a table, well booth and waited for Nicole to arrive. Now the staff here is awesome but really everywhere we go, we seem to get treated really well. Our waitress came and took our drink orders. Just about that time Nicole came in so we were all there. Of course, I had to get my selfie for my blog.

We talked for a little bit before we ordered. These Wednesday night dinners are really a great social event and gives us a chance to talk and get to know each other better or catch up on what is new in our lives. It really is no different then what other people do when they go out. I really can’t explain why it is so much fun as the whole time I am out I am not thinking about how I am dressed. It really is just friends going out for dinner.

Our waitress brought our drinks and we all ordered dinner and yes, I had my normal meal, Chicken fried Chicken. It really is good. Melissa and Julie also ordered their normal dinners also. Soon our dinners came and we had a nice dinner as the 4 of us sat and talked, it really was a fun and enjoyable evening and of course the food was awesome. Now Nicole was also out Saturday night at the Escape with me but it was still nice to get to see her again. When she was down earlier in the summer her older daughter came with her and I had told her daughter I would sing Karaoke with her the next time she came down so on Saturday night I had told Nicole about my singing the last couple weeks with other people and that I was ready to sing with her daughter and she texted her the song I wanted to do, I’ve had the time of my life, so her daughter texted her back she would practice for when she comes down next so at some point I will be singing with her daughter.

We finished dinner and sat and talked and of course more pictures were taken, Melissa took a selfie and it was awesome, she looked so good in the picture but then she always looks good as did Nicole and Julie. Really, we all put effort into looking our best and although I know we don’t pass I think we do a good job trying to present ourselves like ladies and that is what it is all about. I am sure we got a few looks from people but no one stared or pointed at us or said anything and to me that is passing. I did get a picture with Julie; wish I had got one with Nicole and Melissa and maybe a group picture. Wil have to work on remembering that next time.

Julie ordered a desert and I am trying to be good so I didn’t although I know I will have a few bites of Julies as the desserts here are on the big side. We sat and kept talking and soon it was after 9:30, it is amazing how fast the time goes when I am out with my friends. Our waitress came with our bills all split out, as I said our waitress was awesome. She told us her name but as usual I forgot as I am bad with names and it is 4 days later, I am writing this blog. I really do need to get back to writing my blog the next day.

We all left and said our goodbyes out front before we went our separate ways well not Julie and I as we rode together. It is a way to keep the evening going a little longer as Julie and I kept talking on the drive back to her house. We got to her house a little after 10 and I dropped her off. The next couple weeks Julie won’t be out as she need to go south and get her other house ready for the winter and then she will be back for a little while before her and Trixie head south for the winter. They like to go someplace warm for the winter, it will be sad when that happens as I won’t get to see her every week but I am sure she will come up every once in a while, and in the spring just as the flowers come back so will they.

I dropped her off and drove home. it was a wonderful night made even more special by spending it with my friends. When I first started going out it was all about being out as Susan now it really is about spending time with my wonderful friends. Thanks for reading and be sure and read my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Saturday night at the Escape

I am once again a week behind in my blogs but I will catch up as over the Holiday weekend I will get ore Susan time but I am writing about last Saturday at the Escape. Now I pretty much go here every week and some ask why. The answer is simple. I really think it is good to have a place we go all the time this way it is easier for those trying to get out the first time or can only get out every once in a great while. They know there is a place they can go and others will be there. I have said it many times, for me it is not about where I go but that I can go out and be with friends and other people

I got ready early with the hopes of being to the Escape by 6, I knew Nicole would be there as she is in town this weekend and like me, she likes to show up early before it gets busy and loud so we can talk. I was on my way and got to the Escape just before 6 and went in. I went up and ordered my drink and something to eat and Nicole walked in just as I finished ordering. Now being so far behind in my blogs makes it hard to remember things and in last week’s blog I forgot to mention Rachel, she was at the bar last week when I was ordering in male mode so it took me a few moments to recognized her and had she not said something to me I probably wouldn’t have. I met her back in 2005 or 2006 when I would get out a couple times a year and we have kept in touch on and off. It has been a couple years since I have seen her so it really was a nice surprise. I invited her to join us but she couldn’t stay long but I hope she will come out again. Well back to tonight’s blog.

Nicole and I got our normal table and started talking. It is still strange to me in my male ode I don’t talk much but when I am Susan I love to sit and chat about almost anything, it is just a fun way to spend time. Our food came and it was good as always and we had a nice dinner as we talked. It was a little after 7 when Bobbie showed up so there were 3 of us. We all sat and talked and listened to music and just had a fun time.

It started to get busy as it got close to 9 as that is when Karaoke starts and tonight was no exception. Now once Karaoke starts it is a little harder to talk as you have to talk between songs but it is still fun. Now usually Nicole leaves not long after Karaoke starts but tonight, she stayed late. For a while I thought she might still be here when I left.

Now once again tonight a lot of the songs they sang were good ones, probably a bad choice of words as all the songs are good but these were songs, I knew well enough to sing along with at the table which always makes it more fun. It was a little before 10 and Lauri showed up so we had 4 of us here tonight. A smaller group but still fun as it gave us a good chance to talk.

It was after 11 and I was getting tired and I was thinking about leaving when Nicole said she was going to leave so I did out last her but not by long. It was really great Nicole stayed so late. Thanks for reading and be sure and check out my most recent blog to see what is new in my life.

Saturday August 17th at the Escape

Yes, I am still trying to catch up on my blogs as it has been a busy few weeks. I got home a little late and started getting ready as I hoped to be to the Escape by 6 that way I could catch up on my blog from Julie’s BBQ before others showed up. I was just finishing my makeup and Veronica texted me to see if I would be at the Escape which was a nice surprise so I texted back I would and I would be leaving in a few minutes. It seems Veronica, Melissa, Cassandra and another girl went golfing today.

I git to the Escape a little before 6 and Veronica and another girl were already there so I left my computer in my car and joined them. We went inside but went to the back room where we could sit and talk. Michelle also showed up early so the 4 of us sat and talked for a while. Now it turns out Cassandra went home to clean up after golf but she is going to come out tonight also. When I heard she had gone golfing I kind of thought she would as her wife Peggy is out of town this weekend.

It was a little after 7 and Bobbie showed up and shorty after Cassandra, it has probably been a 1 ½ years since Cassandra has been to the Escape. It was nice to see her out again although I did see her and Peggy at the BBQ last Wednesday. We all moved out to the main room and got our normal table and ordered some food. It was a fun night. It started getting busy as it got close to 9 and Karaoke. Once Karaoke started Veronica and Cassandra called it a night but I stayed as I wanted to listen to some of the singing.

Just before 10 Lauri showed up as normal so we had a good turnout tonight. Now Cynthia also was here she is a lady we met a few weeks back and she comes for Karaoke. Anyway, she stopped by and talked with us for a while and wanted to know if we were going to sing tonight. I told her I don’t sing on my own but last week I did sing with Kris. So, she asked if I would sing with her and I agreed so she asked what I wanted to sing. I told her I could sing I’ve had the time of my life so she went up and put our names in. it took about an hour for our turn to come up and we went up and sang. It was pretty fun and makes the second week in a row I have sang with someone.

It was almost midnight when I paid my bill and called it a night. Thanks for reading and be sure and check out my most recent blog to see what is new in my life

Wednesday night BBQ

Okay I am once again more than a week behind in posting my blogs so back in time we go. On August 14th Julie had a BBQ at her house and she invited about 20 girls over for the BBQ, what a wonderful thing to do. Now one of the nicer things was she invited some of our new members and the spouses so they could meet other spouses. We actually have a lot of members who are married or in relationships with women. I would say over half of those showing up came with a significant other. Now we will test my memory of who was there, the one bad thing about waiting so long to write my blog. Julie and Trixie of course as they hosted it. Peggy and Cassandra as Peggy helped, Kimberly. Kris, Karren, Joan, Mellissa and her wife, Patty and her girlfriend, Danika and her wife, Jennifer and her wife, Veronica, Jennie, myself and I am sure I am missing 1 or 2 as I am pretty sure we had 20 there.

Now I rushed to get there and it turns out I was one of the first ones to arrive which was nice as I got to talk with Peggy for a while. I met Peggy back in the fall of 2008 and she is so nice. She is so supportive of Cassandra and really all of us t-girls in the group. Now I don’t want to sound like I am playing favorites because all of my friends in the group are awesome and such a big part of my life but Peggy, Cassandra and Julie are really my best friends on both sides of who I am. They know both sides of me and we have done things together both as female and our male selves and that is something years ago, I would never have thought possible. I would have never thought I would tell people about both sides of me. There are a few other girls who have met my male side also.

Well with traffic it took a little while for everyone to arrive but we had a nice time visiting while we waited and of course there were all kinds of snack, Julie and Trixie really went over board on food and drinks. Julie was the grill goddess as she grilled all the steaks for everyone and did a fabulous job. Soon we were all seated at the table to eat. Now it was one long table so now you could only really talk with those around you. I got to sit between Peggy and Julie and Cassandra, Jennie and Veronica were across from me so that was really my little group I got to talk with. It was a lot of fun. Now of course I took some pictures of the group and of course I had to get a couple with our hostess Julie. It was such a fun time and went buy way to fast.

It was almost 10 when we had finished eating dinner, desert and talking and girls started to leave. We all carried some things inside but Julie would have a lot of cleanup after. We all asked if we could help but Julie said she would take care of it tomorrow. It really is so wonderful of Julie to host such an awesome event, thanks so much Julie, and Trixie and Peggy for helping. To open your home like this takes a special person.

Thanks for reading and be sure and check out my most recent blog to see what I am up to now.
