Halloween and a day of Susan

Happy Halloween

It is Halloween day and I have the day off and am looking forward to some Susan time. Now I do remember years ago before I started to go out as Susan I did go out dressed briefly to like a store and let everyone think it was just my Halloween costume but over the years I no longer view it as a costume but a big part of who I am. Actually back on Halloween of 2009 I did my first female costume, Wonder Woman, yes this is me and ever sense then if I went out on Halloween I had an actual costume one not just dressing as a female.

I slept really well last night and got up today at 7am and quickly got ready to take my car in at 8am. Now I di have my nails and did take time to put in a little mascara but I was really wishing I had gotten up early and dressed as Susan as today would have been the perfect opportunity. Yes I don’t like it when people think this is just a costume but I realize that at this time of year and especially today some people will think that. Toyota was busy and no one said a thing about my nails. I waited for my car so I had my computer and a man did sit down next to me at the counter with is computer and he never said a thing but I know he notice my nails as a couple times he asked me to hand him little advertisements on the counter to look at plus I did have a cup of hot chocolate that was on the same side as he was. My car was done a little after 9am and I stopped briefly at the library downtown before going home to get ready for the day. Now I plan to go out today as Susan and yes probably a Starbucks and some shopping but I am already thinking about tonight being Halloween.

In years past I have had years I had no kids trick or treating and sometimes I have had maybe 40 kids and I will be handing out candy with my nails. The question is do I stay as Susan or change back to my male self. I really am leaning to being Susan as I am sure most of my neighbors have seen me and have a good idea and this might let them see me close up instead of just driving by in my car. I guess I will make that decision tonight.

I started getting ready about 1pm and took my time as I wanted to look really good in case I hand out candy as Susan. By the way I figured it out, I am going to leave it up to fate. I am going to go to Starbucks by my house and write my blog from yesterday and stay there till 4:30pm. When I leave I am going to call COSTCO and order a pizza for dinner and when I pick it up I will see if they have any Halloween candy left, if they do I will buy a bag to hand out as Susan and if they don’t I wont worry about it as I won’t have candy, I am guessing they will have candy though. I was all ready by 2:30 and a little more fancy for a daytime look as I wore my red sweater dress, black tights and ankle boots.

I got to Starbucks and went in and they were not really busy. I went in and ordered my drink and sat down and worked on my blog. I was looking forward to people watching as I wanted to see some costumes but really no one came in wearing costumes, one lady was all in black with cat ears on and the tip of her nose was black and she had drawn whiskers on her face but that was it. I finished and posted my blog from yesterday and just checked things out on my computer till 4:30 before leaving.

I called COSTCO and ordered my pizza for 5pm and was n my way, it only took about 15 minutes to get there and they were actually busy. I went in and asked if they had any candy left and the lady told me where it was and I went to check it out and they had pallets of candy. I bought a big bag and went and paid for it and then went and paid for my pizza and still had to wait about 5 minutes for it to be done. Now I didn’t notice anyone looking at me as I really didn’t pay attention but I am guessing some did after all I was in a short red dress and 3″ ankle boots, not the typical look of a COSTCO shopper. By the way the bag of candy was $19.99 but I got probably 5 times what I would have gotten at Fred Meyers and those bags are $6 to $8. I really hope I get a lot of kids tonight or I will have a lot of candy left. I got home at 5:20pm and had some pizza as I waited to see if I would have any trick or treaters. I am a little nervous though as I am sure my neighbors know it is different answering the door to them this way, of course a lot of time the parents stay at the curb and let the kids come to the door.

Well I didn’t have to wait long as my first group of 4 kids showed up a little after 5:30 and yes there was a woman with them. I actually had 4 groups of kids before 6pm and the second group had 2 women with them and there were 2 men standing out at the street. The other two groups the parents stood out by the street, Now coming this early it was still light outside as it didn’t get dark till a little after 6pm. I was actually having fun though and was looking forward to more kids but it turned out that was all there was, those 4 groups with 18 kids so I have a lot of candy left over. I didn’t recognize any of them but I was really looking at the kids as I put the candy in their bags. Now being small groups like this I am guessing they are from my neighborhood so I guess I took a step forward.

Last Saturday of October and yes, it is Halloween

It is Saturday but more than that it is Halloween and in any other year it would be a night out with friends and costumes but instead it will be a day at home but it will be as Susan. Now for the last few days I have been really thinking about today and there were 2 things I am still thinking about, one of my old costumes or just Susan and 2 do I hand out candy tonight as Susan. Well I didn’t start my transition till about 2 as I do want to look my best if I do hand out candy.

As I said it was 2 pm when I started getting ready with a long shower and I have decided no costume this year I am going to dress my best, I was looking in my closet and I have 4 dresses I bought before the shut down and although I did try them on I have not really worn them yet so tonight will be a fancy dress night suitable for a holiday party or fancy dinner out. Now every once I a while our group goes some place special and getting ready is just a little more special and that is the feeling I have today. It is kind of like when women get ready for a special dance or maybe their wedding well that may be a stretch but it is a wonderful feeling when you are excited about something and even though it will be at home the thought of going all out for tonight if fun. I actually have 5 dresses sitting out on my bed today to pick from.

I took my time doing my makeup yes my eyes took extra time but I also took extra effort to try and contour my face as I wanted the whole look, it was a little after 4 when I was all ready and now it was time to pick my dress. I have a salmon, purple, black and red dress all with a little lace and then my little black dress which is the dress I was leaning towards, yes there is just something about the little black dress. I spent about a ½ hour trying on dresses as I had to take my hair off each time which adds to the experience but it was so much fu and yes in the end I changed my mind and went with the red dress. This was the dress I bought for the Red Dress party this year which got canceled. I was finally all dressed and ready and yes, I really like the red dress.

Now it was time to get some pictured and yes today I wanted to try and get some pictures of my dress and how I look from head to toe which is something I struggle to with another reason I like getting together with my friends. I got a few that turned out okay although a little blurry but best I could do. I got done with my pictures and now it was time to figure out dinner. Well I decided to go to Panda Express as I wanted to go in and be seen in my dress even though it was way over the top for there.

I got in my car and drove to Panda Express and it was a great feeling being out is such a cute dress. I parked and got out and walked in with my new mask on my face, there were 3 people waiting for their food, I think they called in there order and there were 2 couples ahead of me ordering so I got in line. Now while I stood in line a few more people came in behind me and yes, I was the only female in a dress, so I did stand out but tonight I didn’t care. Now I didn’t pay attention to the others, so I don’t know if they were looking at me or what they thought and that is a great feeling. I placed my order and got my food and was on my way home to eat.

I got home and turned on a Christmas Movie on Hallmark Chanel to watch as I ate dinner. Yes, I am at home as Susan on Halloween night watching Christmas movies. Now after I ate, I did set up a TV tray by my door with a candy bowl incase anyone comes to my door, but I left my light off so not sure I will get anyone. Now tonight I was sitting in my front room so I could look out the window and see if anyone came to the door, but I could also see if anyone was walking down the street. Now usually I don’t get many kids on my street as I am on a dead-end street and over the years, I get between 5 and 30 maybe so one bag is all I every buy. Now with the virus going on right now I also didn’t think there would be many out trick or treating but actually between 5:30 and 7 I actually saw a lot of kids in costumes walking down the street so it was probably good my light was off as I would have run out of candy. Even between 7 and 8 I saw a few small groups.

Well about 8:20 I started my second Christmas movie and decided to go get a couple pieces of candy as I had peanut butter cups and I love them. Well for some reason as I got my candy, I turned my outside light on and wondered if I would get anyone as I have not seen anyone outside for probably 30 minutes but it did make the night a little more exciting. Well I didn’t have to wait long a group of 6 kids came to the door all young in cute costumes and yes one was probably only 3 ears old carried by her father. Now I don’t think any of them are from my street but one never really knows as with costumes the father was the only one I could really see but it was fun to hand out candy as Susan in my red dress.

Well I had 3 more groups of kids come to my door and all young which was nice, 2 of the groups had a man and woman with them (probably a mom and dad) but they stayed bout 20 feet back as the kids came to the door so they were in the shadows and I really couldn’t see them, the other group of kids had 2 women with them and the same thing they stayed back a little. I was glad to see the parents with the young kids but wondering if any of them were my neighbors. As I have said I am sure most of my neighbors know as much as I come and go but I am always in the car so it is really only my face they see, if these were my neighbors this ay have been the first time they have seen me from head to toe and I looked good tonight but again probably way over dressed to hand out candy. It turned out to be a fun night at home.

It was about when it was time to wash Susan away and go to bed as I have to work early Sunday morning. Now a side note for the last several weeks I have been wearing lipstick to work every day as I have to wear a mask at work and yes some times it is the long lasting that won’t wash off but nothing really bold usually color you would notice if you looked at me close but if you were a ways away you may not notice well that changed today as today the day after Halloween I wore the same red I wore last night to work today and really the only risk is when I eat lunch but I eat at my desk with my back to my co-worker so as long as I don’t turn around at lunch I should be fine. Any way I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween this year.

Halloween 2017 one word, awesome

Halloween is here, I have always loved this holiday. Tonight, we are doing our groups Halloween Party and once again Cassandra and Peggy are wonderful enough to open their home and put on the party for all of us. Now I did take time Friday night to run out and look for a costume with no luck, they were pretty picked over and the one I found that said ex large well I sure don’t think it was. So, I gave up and decided to go with my Wonder Woman Costume. I really love this costume as it was the first female costume I ever bought. I dug it out and tried it on and well let’s just say Susan will be going on a diet. I couldn’t quite fit into it so on to my next choice which was my belly dancer costume. Good thing I checked as I needed to do my makeup different for the belly dancer. See I wear my black hair with this costume and for that I need darker makeup.

I spent almost 2 hours getting ready today as I wanted to take my time and enjoy myself. I was all ready by 5:20 and on my way. It takes between 45 minutes and an hour to get to Cassandra & Peggy’s house depending on traffic. Now the thing that went through my mind was what if I get a flat tire. I would look so cute alongside the road changing a tire in this costume. I got to their house a little after 6 and of course I had to get a couple pictures of my makeup before I went in, selfie time. I went in and only a couple people were there so far as the party doesn’t start till 7. Jan and Lynn were there along with Veronica so I got a chance to talk with them as Cassandra and Peggy were still upstairs getting ready. By the way the house looked awesome, Peggy always does such a wonderful job decorating and puts a lot of time and thought into it.

Peggy and Cassandra came down and it was time to start putting out the food so we all helped. One of the reasons I came early. Besides it was fun to be bringing food out in my costume. Peggy had cards everywhere with what dish went where, as I said she puts a lot of thought and effort into this party. The food was awesome and so much of it. It didn’t matter where you were in the house there was a table nearby with something on it, from candy, brownies, chips and dip, deli meat cheese and crackers to cooked food and shrimp. They had enough food for 100 people I bet.

Tereasa and Dan were the next to show up and of course I started to get pictures as I knew there would be some wonderful costumes. Of course, I had to get a few of me in my costume also. Yes, there is not much to this costume and as skimpy as it looks from the front there is even less in the back. Now more people started to show up as it was now after 7 and I knew we would have a good turnout. I was still trying to get pictures of everyone so I can post them to the group but as the evening went on it got harder to do in the crowd. I also kept my camera with me all the time tucked in top, last party I kept setting it down and then ended up leaving without it and having to go back. Melissa and her wife were next, they had great costumes and Melissa was hard to recognize as she had blonde hair tonight as she was Alice in Wonderland. Kate showed up next and she didn’t recognize me at first either, the black hair. It really is amazing how different hair style and color can change how you look. One more picture with my vail on which I could not wear for long. And of course, belly dancers are bare foot so tonight I was not as tall which was nice. Kate had a really cute costume also and talking with her I think she had a lot of fun out shopping for it as I think it was her first female costume.

Julie and Trixie also showed up dressed as nurses. They had really cute costumes also. There were lots of people here now and everyone was trying to get pictures. Pictures of the costumes, pictures of themselves and picture with other people. This is such a fun night to get pictures. So of course, I had to get one with Julie and Kate, oh and that is Roxy also. Chris and Roxy were also here which was nice as I have not seen them in a long while as I have not been able to get to Sweet Home on Friday night. We make such a cute group.

Cindy and her wife Alice were also here, Bobbie, Sophia, Kimberly, Bobbi, and Kim and so many more. If I miss you by name I am sorry. I got to talk with Bobbi for a while, she is doing wonderful and it was good to see her as it has been a long time. That is one of the great things about parties like this as so many people show up and you can work your way around the room and try to talk with everyone. Of course, in the main room the TV was on with the world series, some were just sitting and watching it and others like me would just cycle through the room enough to catch the score. By the way the Dodgers won and tied the series which mad Cassandra so happy.

There were also some new girls here tonight which was nice as we got a chance to meet them. Charlene and her wife were also here, they are not members of our group yet but I am hoping they will join. They don’t live in the area but travel through a few times each year. Charlene met me through this blog and contacted me and we have kept in touch so when she said she would be in town this weekend I told her she had to come to the party. It was great to see her again and talk with her. She doesn’t dress at home but when they travel she lives as Charlene all the time. Kind of like I do when I go to Diva Las Vegas although they have been traveling for a few months so she gets to be Charlene for a long longer stretch then I get to be Susan.

Now with all the food around I ate way too much which is easy to do as I didn’t get a plate full and eat. I was just nibbling as I walked around and yes way too much candy and Brownies. Peggy made the best brownies. It is way too easy to just keep eating when there is so much food all around and of course this girl has no will power. Michelle and Christy also showed up and I almost didn’t recognize them. It was so wonderful to see them again. Christy lives here in Portland but Michelle moved down to San Francisco several years back so it is always a treat to see them and they always have the best costume. Got to talk worth them some but not as much as I would have liked which was the same for most as people were moving around trying to see everyone’s costume and talk with everyone. Victoria and her girlfriend were also here and I got to talk to them just briefly, she is one of our newer members. As I said it was hard to talk with everyone and I didn’t get a chance to talk with some of the people as much as I wanted. Would have like to have talked with Kim, Chris, Roxy and Veronica more and a few others but the night went by so fast.

Okay I have to include one picture of the inside of the house and the decorations just to show how much effort and time Peggy put into this party. The whole house was decorated just as much as this room. Wow what a job getting ready.

Charlene and her wife left but it was great they could make it. I encouraged her to join our group so she will know where and when we are going places but she can always contact me directly also. Maybe next time we can get together at Starbucks. It is amazing how fast the night went by. Cassandra had prizes for best costumes, and a variety of other prizes which she paid for herself. Cassandra and Peggy put so much of themselves into this party, not just the cost but everything including cleaning up and taking all these wonderful decorations down. We really can’t thank them enough and I hope they know how much we all appreciate this.

Okay I have to share a cute story Peggy told me. She was getting her nails done today with the lady who always does her nails and asked her to do her makeup for the party which was awesome. Any way she got taking with her and told her about the party when she asked what her husband was going as. Peggy pause and then told her before she told her that she had something else to tell her first and with that she explained about the party for the Rose City T-girls, about Cassandra and the rest of us. Peggy said she was fine with it and of course that was most of the conversation while she was getting her nails and makeup done.

It was hard to leave but it was after 11:30 and I still had a 45-minute drive home. It took me another 10 to 15 minutes to go around and tell everyone goodbye and of course hugs for all. I think that is one of the things I love the most about being Susan, woman great each other with hugs and never think anything about it and I love that. I think the world would be so much better if everyone got hugs. It just makes you feel so good. I got out to my car and Victoria was just showing up so I got a hug from her and talked with her for a few minutes. She does transformations for t-girls so tonight was one of her busier night. It was nice to see her though before I left. The drive home was easy but I decided to stop at the gas station by my house. There were 3 other cars there, 2 men and 1 woman getting gas. So, I got out of my car and pumped my gas in my skimpy belly dancer outfit. It was 12:30 by the time I got home, what a wonderful night it was.

Halloween 2016

Okay it is not actually Halloween but the Saturday before and our group is going out to celebrate Halloween. I have been looking forward to tonight for weeks, this has always been one of my favorite holidays. It use to be being Susan was my costume a chance to be who I was but for the since 2009 I have been doing female costumes and I love it. Now I had a really cute costume for tonight. The plan was to meet at the Escape at 6 as they were showing the movie Rocky Horror Picture show at 7 and then Karaoke at 9. Well I started getting ready early as I was excited for tonight. I also wanted to do my makeup different to match my costume. I actually did some searching online till I found a picture of the look I was going for. I even did false eye lashes on both the upper and lower lids which took a little work. Now I am guessing you are all interested in what I chose for my costume, well I will tell you in a moment.

I was all ready by 5:20 so I figured I would leave early and take my computer till others showed up. I got to the Escape a little after 5:30 and had to snap a couple selfie in the car as I thought my makeup turned out really good and yes there will be more pictures to come. Not sure if you can tell my costume from this picture or not but the next one you will.

Now as I said I was early so I was the only one in a costume here yet. Now there was a big group here watching the World Series and yes I watched some if it and the Cubs lost again. Now I was waiting to see who would be the first to show up. Cristine and Karen showed up a little after 6 so I put my computer away and took it out to my car. I have never met Karen before as she lives down by Salem and this is only her second time coming to Portland. It was nice to meet her and get to know her.

Cassandra and Peggy were the next two to show up, it was so great to see Peggy again and she had on one of Cassandra’s wigs and looked so cute. It was a wonderful surprise. Now it was not busy yet so I had to have Cassandra get a picture of me in my costume so here it is. And by the way Cassandra and I ended up with the same idea although they were slightly different in look. I actually thought more would have his costume as I picked it based on the movie they were showing. It was such a cute costume and I actually had several people tell me I could come clean their houses anytime so I guess I have another job opportunity if I need one. I must admit my legs looked awesome in fishnet stockings.

It was a little before 7 when others started to show up, Julie and Trixie showed up and they had matching costumes, it was so cute and they looked great as Skeletons. Laura and Lisa, Charlene and her wife who I got to meet tonight, Melissa and her wife and Kim so we had a good turnout tonight and of course Peggy brought candy so I will have to go to the gym tomorrow. It was good to see Kim again and talk with her it has been a couple years since I have seen her.

Well the movie started and we watched it as we talked, well probably more talking then watching. It was turning out to be a really fun night. Diane, Sasha and Rose also showed up. Now they had a costume contest and I made it through the first round so I was happy but then in the second round we had to dance which I am not a dancer but I made it through to the top 5 but that was as far as I got which was fine as I was having fun. Julie and TTrixie won first prize $50 and Laura got second and won $20 and I will admit they did have really good costumes.

Now there were some other good costumes here tonight not just in our group. Karaoke started and it was good, Victoria also showed up later alter the dance. Now I am still not use to the false lashes as I could see them when I looked up it seemed there was a darkness above my eyes. But they really did look awesome.

Now during the Karaoke they would have breaks for Dancing and even though I am not a dancer Peggy did get me out on the dance floor a few times and I actually had fun. I am still not a good dancer but it was fun. Although dancing in 4” heels was not that easy on the feet. It was a really fun night. Of course I had to get pictures with my friends. I wish I had thought of getting a picture with Charlene. I will have to make sure I do next time she is in town. I want to thank all my wonderful friends for such an awesome evening.

I stayed out till almost 12:30 before I left. it was sad to see the night come to an end.

Halloween night 2015 at the Escape Bar and Grill

Wow it is hard to believe it is Halloween already. I rally do love this holiday as you can dress any way you like and no one cares. It really is a T-girls best day and so many of us took our first steps out on Halloween. Now I have to work early tomorrow so I am not planning on staying out to late to night but we will see how that goes. Any way I started getting ready early today with hopes of being to the escape by 6 or earlier. Now I know I said I was going to wear my Wonder Woman costume but a funny thing, as I was going through my pictures of Susan which I have thousands of I noticed 2 of my costumes I don’t have pictures of or at least can’t find them. I may have lost them 2 years ago when my old computer died. so I decided to wear one of them, my Gypsy outfit. Yes I will have lots of pictures today. I started getting ready a little before 4 as I was going to do the false eye lashes again and I was doing both the upper and lower lashes and wasn’t sure how it would turn out as I had enough trouble with just the upper lashes last night. Well they turned out really well. I actually put them on first before doing my eye makeup tonight. the lashes went on easier but it was a lot harder to do my eye makeup.

I was on my way by 5:30. traffic was slow as it was really raining tonight but I was in no hurry. I got to the Escape bar and Grill about 5:50 and went in. . I was the first of our group to arrive which I kind of figured I would be but I had limited time out tonight and I was taking advantage of it. I got my computer out and then went to the bar and ordered dinner and a drink. As I was walking back to my table a man came in and told me how good I looked and offered to buy me a beer. Now I was flattered but I am not interested in men and I don’t drink beer so I thanked him for the offer but declined.

Cassandra showed up next and she had on a really cute costume also, here is a picture of us. We noticed Brandi was at the bar seems the man who offered to buy me a drink made Brandi the same offer.

Well All 3 of us got our phones out and started to get pictures. It was like old times, we took so many pictures. Now besides getting pictures of ourselves I really wanted to try and get at least one picture of everyone who showed up tonight for our group. This is a picture of Brandi and me. We are both members of the Vanity Club, yes I actually belong to 2 t-girl groups. I have met Brandi once before at Victoria, Sinclair’s birthday party a couple years ago. It was nice to see her again and talk to her.

Now we had a good turn out tonight I will try to list everyone, another reason for trying to get pictures of everyone. so tonight we had Cassandra, Brandi, Jolene, Barb, Jan and her wife Lynn, Cristine, Teresa, Jamie. Laura M. her daughter and girlfriend, Jamie, her wife Kristine, Julie and her girlfriend, Rachael and her friend, Julie and her girlfriend Trixie, Dee, Joan, Michelle, Diane and Rose.

It was good to see Jolene again as she is a newer member but has been really busy the last few months and hasn’t been able to get out so of course I had to get a picture with her. We kind of has similar costumes although mine was a lot shorter dress. Now the funny thing is tonight I was also doing something I haven’t done before. As I was taking the pictures with my cell phone I was uploading them to my Facebook page as I took them. I got a chance to talk with Jolene for a while as we watched the end of game 4 of the World Series, Mets lost.

After the game was over the bar put on the Movie Rocky Horror Picture show, it was their theme tonight. So we were kind of watching it as we socialized. Now I had to get  some pictures with Teresa. Some how I wound up with several pictures with her, I think we both like having our pictures taken. This was my favorite as we both had good smiles in this one. Of course we had to do one close up to post to Facebook. This is just such a cute close up of us.

Now I did make sure I got around and talked with everyone from our group. Now one of our newer member Julie well she has been in the group for a year but only been able to come out a couple times so I have not met her till tonight so I did talk with her and her girlfriend several times as I really do like meeting new people, They both had great costumes. Now I thought I had gotten a picture with both of them but some how I only have the one with her girlfriend. I think maybe Julie and me might have been on someone else’s camera. She had someone do her makeup and it was awesome.

Rachael also made it out tonight, she is one of my oldest friends as Susan. Her and Alice were probably 2 of the earliest people I met as Susan that I still have contact with. It is amazing to think about how long I have known some of these girls. I really do have some awesome friends that have helped me grow and helped shape the lady I have become. Well I had to get a picture with her. I took several pictures of Rachael as she wanted some, she even texted some to a lady friend she told about Rachael and it turns out she decided to drive down to the Escape and Meet Rachael in person along with the rest of us. She seems really nice and didn’t seem to be bothered with us being dressed. Of course all the girls in our group are awesome and friendly. We have such a wonderful group here in Portland.

Now of course what Halloween would not be complete without a picture with Julie and Trixie. They are wonderful people and make such a cute couple and are awesome friends. Came out a little dark but still really cute costumes. everyone had great costumes tonight. Julie and I talked about our golfing together in boy mode a few weeks back and how much different we look tonight. It still amazes me as 7 years ago I was so nervous and would never have even thought about telling people anything about my male side and now I have so many close friends here in the group and many of them have met my male side and I find myself talking more about me to people. It is the support I have gotten here in this group or should I say our Rose City T-girl family as that is what we really are.

Now as I said having to work early tomorrow I was only going out till 9 and we all know how that worked out. 9 came and went and I told myself well I will stay till 10. Well 10 came and went and I was still there. It is so hard to leave when I am out with such wonderful people. It was about 10:30 when I paid my bill and then started to say my goodbyes, hugs for everyone. I think that is one of the best things about being a lady is you can hug people goodbye and no one thinks any thing of it as females do it all the time and it is perfectly okay. So I finally left the bar about 10:45. by the time I got home it was about 11:20 and now I had to Clean off all my makeup and get ready for bed so I actually didn’t get to bed till almost midnight. I will be tired tomorrow at work but it was so worth it. I had a fabulous time tonight. Now I am looking forward to next Saturday when we go to Harvey’s and I can wear my pretty new dress that I Bought just for this. I goy so many compliments on the brown hair maybe I will wear this wig a little more often

Halloween party 2014 at Cassandra and Peggy’s house, awesome

Well Saturday night November 1 and we are having our annual Halloween party at Cassandra & Peggy’s house. They host it every year and do an awesome job. Now I wasn’t thrilled with my costume but it would still be a fun night. This is me with Trixie and Julie, one of many pictures I will include.

Now I was going to pick Samantha, Cloe and her boyfriend for the party as they needed a ride plus it was nice to have someone else in the car with me to talk with. I picked them up at the Escape bar at 6 pm and we were on our way. It took about 45 minutes to get to Cassandra and Peggy’s house where the party was.

The part started at 7 but there were already people there when we got there. The first person I saw was Dan and he was disappointed I recognized him as he really did have a great costume. Now it was made easier as there really would not be a lot of men here tonight. Had I ran into him someplace else I wouldn’t have recognized him. This is me with Dan and Bianca, she had a great costume on also.

Now the house was incredibly decorated as always, Peggy did a great job as she always does. She starts the beginning of October getting the house already and puts in many hours and we all appreciate it. Peggy and Cassandra are so awesome for doing this every year. They cater the whole thing, food, drink, DJ, and prizes for costumes and ask nothing in return. They just want us to have a good time which we always do. They even had Paul the owner of Sweethome and one of his employee’s Debra here tonight to serve drinks. They are both really awesome. I didn’t think to get a Picture with Paul but I did with Debra.

Now there was so much food and it was all so wonderful and of course I had to have a little of everything well maybe not everything but it sure felt like I did as I ate to much as always. Peggy had these awesome meat balls and of course little Halloween cupcakes.

By 8 a lot of people had shown up and there is no way I could remember all of them so I am not going to even try. I did try to talk with everyone at one point or another and I think I got pictures of everyone that attended the party as I took 8o pictures plus Cassandra was also taking pictures so I am sure between the 2 of us no one was missed I hope.

Lilly also made it she is one of our newer members, her wife got sick and couldn’t make it so she brought a friend who knows about Lilly so I had to get a picture with them, this is me with Lilly and Mike. I joked with her and told her everyone thought Mike was her wife in costume.

We actually had several new members here tonight, a few of them this was their first time out which really make these parties fun as it gives them a safe place to go and get their feet wet in going out and hopefully they will go out more. One of the new girls was named Rebecca and she had a great costume. I got a chance to talk with her for a while, she wants to go out more but is nervous about getting out of her car and walking in someplace by herself and we have all been there. I told her about my first times going out and sitting in my car for an hour before I chickened out and went home. Kristy and Trish were also new members although Kristy did come out last night also.

Now no party would be complete without getting a picture with Kathy, she was dressed as a good witch. Well it was time for the Costume contest and we had some really good costumes. Some put some real thought and effort into their costumes. I think I liked Chris costume best as it was really original. He was the Land-o-lakes lady, Google it and look at the images. I should have gotten a picture with him and he did win most original costume.

They even had a dance contest and had prizes for that. I only saw a few of the people who danced and they all did great. Julie and Trixie won a prize for dancing. It was a really fun party, I am not sure how many people showed up but I would guess at least 70 and they all seemed to have a good time we even had some people there I had never met and I think I got a chance to talk with most of them. I love meeting new people.

Kim also made it tonight and she had on this really awesome Pirate costume. The funny thing is I got several pictures of her but I didn’t get one of the two of us. I am hoping someone else did as she really looked Cute

Now luckily tonight we set the clocks back an hour as daylight savings time ends so we get an extra hour of sleep which is good as I got up early today because I had to work and I had hoped to get off early enough to take a nap which didn’t happen. So I was getting tired. Here is my last picture. This is Mandy, Victoria and me.

It was about 12:45 when I left well Me, Samantha, Cloe and her boyfriend so I was thankful for the extra hour we get tonight as it will be an hour or more till I get home. They were all ready to leave by now too. It is always hard to leave and of course I had to go around and say goodbye to everyone.

It was just an awesome night and I want to Thank Cassandra and Peggy for all they did. They are two awesome people and do so much for our group, I have made so many wonderful friend here and I love them all.

Halloween night 2014

Well Halloween fell on Friday night this year and I just had to go out even though I couldn’t stay out late. Now I wanted to go out and of course I got to wear one of my old costumes and of course I chose my Wonder Woman Costume. I have always been a fan of Wonder Woman and I love the chance to be her.

I started getting ready early so I could go out early and tonight it worked. I got there by 6 pm and brought my computer. Chris was there and he had his computer also and was playing with his flight simulator. Chris also wore his costume which as really good. It is the one he is wearing to the Halloween party Saturday night so I won’t say what it is but it is original and that makes it really good. We are all looking forward to the party.

Well I ordered dinner early tonight as I wouldn’t be out that late. They had a Steak dinner as the special tonight and I ordered it and it was awesome. Rachael showed up she had contacted me to see if I would be out and that was the other reason I just had to make it tonight. I have known Rachael for many years, I met her when I first started going out and since she doesn’t get out often I had to make it out to see her and of course get a picture with her. We had a chance to talk and catch up which was really nice.

Cristine also made it tonight and she had on a cute costume also. We had a small group tonight which I figured as we have our big party tomorrow night and we will have a lot of our group out, we usually have 70 to 100 out for this party.

There were lots of people here tonight in costumes which was also fun as I loved to see all the great costumes. Even Paul the owner was in a costume. Besides me as Wonder Woman there was a Superman and a Batman here tonight.

It was a fun night and I was sad when I had to leave but I kept to my plan and left at 9 pm. Here is one last picture from the night. Thanks for reading and Happy Halloween !

Halloween party 2013 such a fun night

Well I look forward to Halloween all year long as it really is the Transgender best holiday. It was the one day a year you can dress however you want and nobody cares. For many years Susan was my costume and now she has become so much a normal part of who I am Susan needs a costume and of course it has to be a female costume and cute. So after a couple trips to different costume shops I had my costume a Gypsy. So I thought I would start off with a couple pictures of me in my costume.

Now I started getting ready at 1:30 as even though the party didn’t start till 7 I was going over at 4 to help finish getting everything ready, mainly getting the food all put out. Now I had some thoughts on how I wanted my makeup to look and had done some research online mainly on eyebrows. One of the ideas which I chose was to use a glue stick to glue your eyebrows down and then cover with makeup so you could draw in new ones a little higher and more arched. I have never tried this so I wasn’t sure how well it would work. Well what I did was just do the outer part of my eyebrows as it was the first attempt. I spent about 45 minutes just working on my eyes and I think they turned out pretty good and with the eye shadow on you really couldn’t tell unless you looked close so I was happy and couldn’t wait for everyone to see. Once I was all dressed I put my wig on only to discover that it covers the part of my eyebrows I spent so much time and effort on although you can kind of see them in this picture.

Well anyway I was all dressed and looking pretty and ready for a fun day. Now again leaving home on a Saturday afternoon all dressed up in a cute costume like this should have been scary or at least a few years back it would have been. Today I really didn’t even think about it which just goes to show how far Susan has come in the last few years. Now it takes me almost an hour to get to Cassandra and Peggy’s home where the party is. It is so awesome of them to open their home each year for our group to have a party and they put so much effort into it. This is actually our 5 year of having a Halloween party wow how time has flown by.

Now I got there about 4 and Bobby was there watching a football game while Peggy, Cassandra, Teresa and Cristine were all upstairs getting ready. This gave me a chance to walk around and see all the decorations Peggy had put up. You cannot believe what she can do, the house was so awesome. Bats, spiders, cobwebs, orange lights paper chains it must have taken her weeks to get this all up. She decorated every room including the bathroom. I really should have gotten some pictures of the decorations but didn’t think of it. You can see some of them in the backgrounds of some of the pictures including the first one where I am standing on their dance floor, that’s right they have a portable dance floor they set up in their living room. There would be dancing and Karaoke here tonight. Well finally Peggy, Teresa and Cassandra came down in their costumes and we started getting the food set out. I also got to help Peggy make the egg casserole that those who stay the night would eat in the morning, that’s right Gypsy Susan was in the kitchen preparing food.

Once we got the food out it was time to get the cameras out and start taking pictures, one to get some pictures early while we still look our best. This is Cassandra and me. The other thing was Cassandra and I both wanted to make sure we got pictures of everyone at the party as long as they were okay with it. It is easy to miss people when you have such a big group. Well people finally started showing up about 6:30 and I could tell it was going to be a great night.

Morgan and Tauni did our Karaoke again this year. I think it is the 4^th year they have done it for the party, big thanks to them for that. Now we had a lot of great costumes but my two favorites were Michelle and Christy who came as redneck hillbillies, it was such an awesome costume and they had their act down. The other awesome costume was Kim and Victoria and they came as Zombies and wow did they put some effort onto their costumes also including doing a dance to thriller for everyone. Really all the costumes were great. This is Teresa, Kim my beautiful girlfriend and me.

Now I am not sure how many people showed up but I would guess it was close to 100 as it was almost impossible to move around in the house and even with all those people there was so much food and it was all so good. There must have been 4 tables throughout the house with food on them plus stacks, and goodies on all the small tables including these delicious little cupcakes which I had several of just to make sure all were just as good.

It was funny as it seems every time I turned around there was someone new there and I tried my best to talk at least a little with everyone. Now I took 127 pictures at the party and even with all those pictures when I went through them I noticed I still missed some of the people there so hopefully Cassandra got them. Rachael was able to make it which was awesome as the last time I saw her was at last year’s party, she doesn’t get out much. I have known her for many years. We really need to get together one of these nights so we can catch up.

We even had several of the Karaoke group we met on Friday come to the party. Cassandra had invited them to come as they have been so awesome and accepted us there. It was such an awesome night it is hard to believe it is all over. I guess we will have to look forward to next year’s Halloween party. Any way I just want to thank Cassandra and Peggy for all they did and everyone who helped in any way to make this such a special night. Now here are some more pictures.

Ready for an awesome weekend and some fun Susan time.

Well it has been a long and stressful week but it is over and time for Susan to have some fun starting with Friday night out with her friends. Well to start I have been sick all week and just Thursday started to feel better which is great as tis Saturday is our big Halloween party and yes even sick I did manage to get out and find a cute costume. I usually dress up once at home just to see how it looks and make sure I know just how I want it to look and this year I did not get that chance so Saturday I will have to leave a little extra time getting ready. Any way more n tat later. Tonight is Friday and a chance to go out with my friends for a fun evening.

Well I started getting ready and as always there are things that come up. I love red lipstick but I realize it is not suitable for every occasion, it is more of an evening out color so really the only time I wear it is when we go out on Friday nights, well I was ready to do my lips and noticed I was out of my red lip liner which really helps hold the lipstick on so I had to chance to a softer color which still looks good. Well with that I decided to change my eye makeup some and of course I went with a different dress. Wow all the things we girls go through getting ready but I was happy when I was all done.

Well I was off to meet my friends and got there just a little after 7. Now with the big party tomorrow night one can never be sure who or how many will come out as a lot can only get out once a week and they would for sure choose the Halloween party. Well I got inside and Chris and Amy were there. We talked for a bit and then ordered dinner. I did the special which was BBQ ribs which normally Susan would not do as it is just too messy for this lady but it just sounded so good and it was and it was so tender that I could pull it off the bone with my fork so I did not mess up my lipstick at all, I can’t say the same for my dress as somehow I got some BBQ sauce on it, luckily it is somewhat dark in there and no one noticed except for Amy as she saw me frantically trying to get as much off as I could before people noticed again something my male side would not have cared about.

Well it wasn’t long and others showed up, Cristine, Bobby (in female mode), Laura, Melissa, Roxy, Michelle, Petra, Silver and Lauren so we had a good turnout. I have only met Lauren once before a couple months ago so it was good to see her again. She moved here over the summer to go to school and found our group I think through Silver, any way it was nice to talk to her again.

Lorraine even showed up for a little bit which was nice. She couldn’t stay long but we had a nice little talk and of course she wanted to know about our costumes for the party as she can’t make it Saturday night. I whispered to her what my costume was as I want it to be a surprise at the party as that is most of the fun. It is funny as I put way more effort and thought into my Halloween costumes for Susan than I ever have for my male self. But who can blame me just go to a costume store and look at the costumes for men and women the female costumes are just so much better and way cuter. I just wish they had a better selection in the bigger sizes.

It was actually a really busy night there last night and a lot of people I have not seen before which is nice. Soon Karaoke started and of course Laura and Chris both got up and sang and did great as always. It really is a great way to end the week and start the weekend out with your friends. Well as always the night went fast and as we all have a big night tomorrow none of us planed on staying out late. I think by 11:30 it was just Melissa, Laura and me left from our group and as I am not sure how long it will take to get my costume just right I didn’t want to be out t late so I went and paid my bill and said goodnight. I think Laura and Melissa were just about ready to leave also. Well I got in my car at 11:45 and was ready to leave when I saw a car pull into Walgreens across the street and go in, they were still open and as I said I need a new lip liner so I drove across the street and went in, turns out they are actually open till midnight on Friday nights. So I looked around and they had one of my lip liners in the color I like so I bought it.

Well I was on my way home when I started really thinking about the party Saturday night and how much fun it will be. Peggy and Cassandra are so awesome for opening their home for this. They spend so much time, effort and money on this party and do it all just because they want to. I hope they know how much we all appreciate what they do as for some parties like this is their only chance to get out. I am really lucky to have them as friends and count them as some of my best friend in both my male and female lives, yes they have both met my more plain boring male self also. Any way I am really looking forward to seeing all the great costumes Saturday night including Kim’s as she has not told me what she is dressing as but then again I have not told her what my costume is either but I know she will look awesome as she always does.

Awesome Halloween Party 2012

Wow what an awesome night! It was are 4^th annual Halloween Party that Cassandra and Peggy host every year and they really go all out. I think most of the group looks forward to this all year long as there are some girls that this is their only chance to go out. In have had my costume for a few weeks but up to now had not put the whole thing together so I gave myself extra time. I started getting ready at 3 with the hope of being all ready by 5:30. Actually the look went together really well and I was happy with how it turned out. I have never really done a Smokey eye look so this was my fist attempt and think it turned out well and I was ready to leave by 5.

I got to the party thinking I would be early and there were already. Now I know you all are wondering about my costume so here is a picture. This is probably the skimpiest costume I have ever worn but it was a lot of fun. What really made this costume work was I went bare foot so I was one of the shorter girls at the party. Now I thought I would be cold in this costume but I really was quite comfortable.

It was an awesome party and the decorations were incredible, Peggy really outdid herself. She started decorating the first of the month to get ready. She put so much time and energy into making this party perfect. I brought a vegetable tray and this year I got it beforehand instead of on the way as my costume was a little too well just didn’t want to stop and go shopping in a cold store dressed like this.

Well there was so much food and all of it was awesome. By about 6:30 people started to show up and the costumes were really good. Now Cassandra and Peggy had a dance floor set up and of course they also had Karaoke. Now I am not a dancer so that was out of the question but I was going to do Karaoke as I have done it the last two years even though I can’t sing.

It was so much fun to see all my friends and spend a fun night with them. There was even a new girl Ashley who made it to the party, it was her first time out. She had on this really cute devil outfit. She really looked good and very passable. I think this is what makes these parties as wonderful as for those who have never been out before it really is a safe and accepting place to go. Hopefully it will give her the self confidence to go out again.

I also got to meet a girl named Bobbie for the first time. I am not sure if she has gone out before but it was nice to talk with her and get to know her. I made some new friends which is always fun. As I said earlier I did sing a song badly for Karaoke and then a little later we did something called suicide Karaoke. This is where you draw a number and get a song to sing by random. Luckily I was 7 to sing and the songs before me were different. Some a lot harder to sing then others but all songs I was familiar with. My turn finally came and wouldn’t you know it I got a song I have never heard before, country western which is why. Boy did I suck at this song but it was fun. I also got to follow Cassandra which made it easier as she set the bar pretty low.

We took so many pictures; I think I uploaded 98 to our group page. It was such a fun night. We even voted on best costumes in 4 different categories. Actually they had so many prizes, costumes, dancing, and singing as I said Cassandra and Peggy go way over board for this party. It was so much fun and yes I did try to do a little belly dancing if you can call it that. Actually by the end of the night I was kind of getting the hang of it as long as I didn’t go longer than 10 seconds. It was a fun night and a fun costume.

I am not sure how many people were there but I would guess more then 50. A couple of us tried counting but it really is hard as people circulate around the house. Now I am going to include a couple more pictures. This is Kim and me, she crossdressed the other way for the party and had a great costume. This is not a great shot of me but it shows my eyes which I really worked hard on to get this look so I had to include it. Her costume was really good and really original. She had a trench coat and was actually a flasher. Now the horror of the night, I lost a finger nail, AI am not sure where or when but one popped off my pinky finger. This is the first time I have lost a finger nail without actually hitting it on something and knowing it. It was so funny as I was worried about it even though I knew no one would probably even notice.

The last picture is Teresa and me. Again not a great picture but I just love the way my eyes look in this picture. It was such a fun night and went by so fast. Soon it was after 1 am and time for this girl to head home, as always it takes a while to say good bye to everyone. Well when I got home around 2 am I took the time to upload all my pictures to the group while I got ready for bed and changed back to my male self. As I was getting my camera out of my purse I found my nail. It must have popped off when I was getting my camera out. It was just an awesome night and I have some wonderful pictures for memories.

I want to Thank Cassandra and Peggy for all they did for this party including opening their home to us. You two are truly awesome people.
