Rose City T-Girls golf tournament.

Okay I am a week behind on writing this but Last Sunday our group the Rose City T-Girls had their annual golf tournament. I have really been looking forward to this. This is one of the really fun things our group does and because I have not been able to get out much lately.

Now as I said I was really looking forward to today and wanted to enjoy it and have as much Susan time as I could. Now I needed to leave for the golf course by 10:15 so I got up early so I could stop at Starbucks for a little while. I got up early and started getting ready at 7:45 with the hopes of being to Starbucks by 9. Things were going great as I was doing my makeup but I had a new eyeliner that I wanted to try, it is waterproof and I figured being on the golf course all day in the sun and heat would be the perfect test. Now I am not sure I like this eyeliner as it dries really slow and as such I ended up getting a little smudge and as I tried to fix it, it just smeared more. I actually had to remove my make up and start over which was another issue as it takes a lot to clean this off. This put me behind but I still had time. I was still ready by 9:30 so I had 45 minutes to stop at Starbuck.

I was in my car and on my way and as I was going down the freeway I notice I was almost out of gas, this day was not going the way I wanted. I got off the freeway and found a gas station. I got out to put gas in and as I did I noticed it was windy and that’s when I realized I forgot my hair tie. I finished filling up and then turned around and headed back home to get my hair tie so I could keep my hair out of my face while we were golfing, yes, my hair was long. One of the obstacle woman must overcome. By the time I got back home and was on my way again it was a little after 10. There would be not stopping at Starbucks today.

I got to the Golf Course at 10:50 and parked. I was just getting my clubs out when Cassandra and Peggy arrived. It was so wonderful to see them, this was going to be a wonderful day. Now our Tee Time wasn’t till 1:30 so we had time to warm up and socialize. It was great as I got to sit and talk with Peggy, she is my partner today so I will get to spend the entire day with her. Now Cassandra and Peggy went all out again, they do so much for our group. They had gift bags for everyone including snacks, a bottle of water and a sleeve of golf balls, I got pink balls. They also had prizes for the closest to the pin on the par 3’s, longest drive and the longest put.

Other girls started to show up, we had 18 golfers today, our biggest turnout. We had Cassandra, Peggy, Veronica, Julie, Sophie & her brother, Laura H, Max, Victoria, Trixie, Kate, Pam, Melissa and her wife, Keli, Laura m, me and another girl. It was awesome to see them all again. We all sat around and talked and lost track of time. Soon it was almost 1 and we needed to go and warm up before we started.

Now I was in the first group with Peggy, Trixie and Kelli, what a fun group. Now it was in the upper 80’s now so it would be hot on the course. We all teed off and the game was on. Now going first has it good points and bad points. First our group had the longest drive, closest to the flag and the longest put as we were first. The bad point is there were 4 more groups behind us all trying to do better. I had my name on two of the closest to the flag. Peggy got closest to the flag on the par 3 that we called the money hole. It is the one Victoria got a hole in one a few years back. What made it so funny is she used a driver and Cassandra gave her such a tough time for using a driver on a par 3 right up to the point the ball rolled in the hole. Well Peggy also used her driver and rolled it down the hill and right up on the green.

On the front 9 we were still warming up, we had 1 birdy, 3 bogeys’ and the rest pars. The back nine we shot straight par and finished 2 over so we figured we would not win but we had a wonderful time playing. I have said it many times, it is not how good I play but how cute I look playing. Yes, not many women do full makeup and worry how it looks while they play. But this was about spending girl time with my girlfriends and Kelli, Trixie and Peggy were awesome to play with. We all at one time or another had really good shots.

We finished a little after 5 and it was about 5:45 when the last group came in. We finished in 4 as one team was 2 under, 2 were even par, we were 2 over and one was 5 over but we all had a wonderful time. Now it was time for a BBQ the golf course did hamburger for us which was awesome. They have always treated us incredible her at Wildwood golf course (21881 NW St Helens Rd)
which is in Saint Helens. It is a wonderful course to play if you are looking for a nice golf course.

Now it was time for prizes, I ended up winning only one of the closest to the flags and Peggy did win the money hole, we all put money in on that hole. The prizes Cassandra had were awesome and we all owe her and Peggy big thanks for putting this on. I hope they know how much we all appreciate it, Thanks. We sat and talked more till it started getting late. I think it was after 8 when we finally left. It was an awesome day out with my friends. I wish I had thought to get some pictures. What a wonderful day.

Now back to the eyeliner. It did stay on really well as a matter of fact it was really hard to get off even with olive oil so I guess if you want something that will stay on and have the time to let it really dry it is good but accept for something like this it is just not practical for me.

I am not sure when I will get out again but I made the most of today. Thanks for reading.

Manicure badly needed

It has been a while since my last blog and for that matter my last time out as Susan, my time as Susan has been pretty limited the last several months. My last trip out was July 4^th to also get my nails done. I has a small window of opportunity today as I didn’t have to pick up my dad till 11:30 am so Friday night I called Dream Nails to see if I could get in Saturday morning. Anna said yes and asked what time I wanted to come in and I said 9 and that was fine and asked my name. I gave it to her and she replied, “Susan it has been a while” which it has plus the last time I was there Anna was not and I had someone else do my nails. Any way Anna asked if I could come at 10:30 so she could do my nails which made me feel good, I said yes and my appointment was set. Now this would make it really tight as I would have to get home, shower and change and be over to pick up my dad and all this would happen in an hour.

Saturday morning, I got up early and got ready as I figured I could go to Starbucks before the nail salon just for a little more time out. I got to the Starbucks by my house (across the street from the nail salon) a little before 9 am and parked. They looked a little busy but that was okay. I was getting ready to get out of my car when my dad called, he is fine but something came up and he was not going to see my mom till about 4 today and he told me to relax till then and take care of some of my things as most of my free time has been helping them. Now the good news is that gave me more time today.

I got off the phone and was getting ready to get out of my car when 3 people I know walked by my car and went in, Good thing I had that phone call. I decided to drive to another Starbucks just a little way away. I got there and they looked a little busy too, I guess Saturday morning is the time to go to Starbucks. Anyway, there was a parking spot right in front and I pulled in and as I did I noticed two police officers sitting at a table right in front of me of which I knew one. Not my lucky day. Now I was faced with that big decision, what to do. If I suddenly backed out and left that would look suspicious to them which I did not want. I decided to go for it. I got out of my car and walked around the back like I was getting my computer out of the trunk and then walked around the car to the door and this allowed me to not walk by them. I was safely inside.

I ordered my drink and then looked for a table, yes, they were busy and the only table was right next to the window right opposite the two police officers right outside. Now there was some writing displays on the window so I figured they might not be able to see me well so I sat down with my computer to check e-mails. Now I could kind of watch them and they never really looked inside they just kept talking. Either they hadn’t noticed me or they just didn’t care about me. They sat there for about 15 to 20 minutes before they left and never once looked towards me.

I spent a little over an hour it and it was so nice to just be out again. Finally, it was a little after 10 and time to head for the nail salon. I got there about 10:20 and they were busy, 6 people getting pedicures and 2 getting their nails done but Anna was ready for me so I sat down and she started working on my nails. Now of the 6 getting pedicures 2 were men, one of whom was there with his girlfriend. He got a dark blue color on his toes. It was so relaxing and fun getting my nails done. It took about 40 minutes and I was on my way. Now I needed to figure out what to do as I had a few extra hours and it was going to be Susan time.

I decided to drive out to the new Casino and check it out, On the 4tgh of July Cassandra, Julie and I talked about making a group outing here so I figured I would check it out. It is only a 15-minute drive. Now being early on a Saturday I figured they would be less busy but for a casino that is still a lot of people but the chances of running into someone I know was less. I got there and parked and had a bit of a walk to get in as there were a lot of cars there. Once inside I walked over to the blackjack area and decided to play for a while. I probably got a few looks but really nothing I noticed.

I bought in for $50 which is not a lot when the table is $10 a bet. There were 3 other people at the table and a few times someone would sit and play with us but the table was never really good. I was up about $40 at one time and a couple times I got down to my last bet. It was just up and down but it was fun though. I never saw anyone I knew really well but I did see a couple people I had worked with 20 plus years ago so I doubt they would have recognized me or even remember my name. One was checking out the tables and for a moment I thought he would sit next to me but he wondered off over to the slot machines. It would have been nice to talk with them and see what they are doing. I spent a couple hours here before leaving with $30, yes, I lost $20 but had a fun time. It was about 1:30 when I left and I decided to head for home with a stop at the Starbucks by my house.

I got there and they were still busy about 15 people inside at table more at the tables outside and a steady stream of people coming in and getting drinks to go. Saturday afternoon at Starbucks. I spent a little over an hour here writing my blog and surfing the internet. T was a wonderful day out. Now I am looking forward to tomorrow as we are having our annual Rose City T-Girls golf tournament and I can go. I am really looking forward to it as Peggy is my partner so I will get a good chance to talk with her and catch up and I will also get to see all my friends. We have 18 signed up as of yesterday and Cassandra was still trying to fill the last 2 spots. I hope to get there early so I can visit with some of my friends. We really do have a wonderful group of girls. We play a scramble so it doesn’t matter how good or bad you are which is awesome way to play.

Afterwards we will have a BBQ there and have time to sit and visit some more, it will be an awesome day.

On a side note when I got here to Starbucks the guy who took my order remembered me and made the comment that it has been a while and it was nice to see me again and 2 of the girls behind the counter also commented it was good to see me back again. I even chatted with one for a couple minutes and explained about my parents and how that took most of my time. She said she was sorry to hear that and hoped they got better soon, how nice is that. It makes you not only feel welcome but like they really want you to come back and that is awesome. Even Anna who has been doing my nails for almost 2 years makes me feel this way, asking me to come a little later so she could do my nails. Now I know it is a business and I am a paying customer but I really feel it is more than just my business they are interested in and that is wonderful..

Manicure for the 4th of July.

Today is July 4^th Americas Independence Day, the day we celebrate our country and I am proud to be an American. What better way to start the day off then going to the nail salon and getting a much-needed fill and manicure. Now I got up at 8 and started getting ready. Now I only had till noon today so it would be another short outing for Susan. I was ready by 9:30. As I was getting ready to leave I thought to myself, I wonder if they are open today, a Holiday so I called Dream Nails and they were. I asked if I could come in and get my nails done and they said yes but Anna the lady who always does my nails was not coming in till later in the day. Now I really needed to get my nails done so I told them I would be there in a few minutes.

I got there and sat down at the table to get my nails don, Now I think a couple times I have had one of the other ladies do my nails. Today one of the men who works here was going to do my nails. Now I will admit I wondered about a man doing my nails but then I thought I am transgender and I feel that should be normal so why not a man doing my nails. Well he started on my nails and he did an awesome job. My nails looked wonderful. It took about 30 minutes and it was wonderful. The staff here at Dream Nails is wonderful and they do a wonderful job.

I left and drove to Starbuck’s as I still had a little over an hour and I needed to do my blog from Saturday when I went to Harvey’s and catch up on some e-mails. It was good to be back at Starbuck’s again. It was a nice morning out but went by way to fast. At noon, I went home and quickly showered and removed all traces of Susan except for my nails. Now I had some family things to do with my parents for a couple hours but I decided to risk it and leave my nails shinny for the day. I really wish I could just have my nails this way all the time. I did the stuff with my family and did my best to keep my nails hid, I don’t think they noticed. Now the reason I did this was simple, I was going to a BBQ at Julie’s with her, Trixie, Cassandra and Peggy at 4 and then we were going down to watch the fireworks and I wanted pretty nails for that. Now I don’t normally post in my blog about my male side of life but this is kind of a blurring of the two sides of my life. Yes, I would spend the rest of the day with Julie and Cassandra but we will not be our female selves, we will be in male mode. Not as much fun as being female but still an awesome day.

I got to Julie’s a little before 4 and shortly after Cassandra and Peggy showed up. We had a wonderful time talking and snacking before Julie BBQ steaks. It was a wonderful time and yes, we were still calling each other by our female names. The food was wonderful and Trixie did an awesome job also. We sat around talking till about 8 when we left for the fireworks. We had a wonderful time watching the fireworks and just a wonderful night out with friends. A few years ago, I would never of thought of even telling people I met as Susan anything about my male side much less get together with them this way. But these are more than just friends they are more like family. I have met many wonderful people as Susan and I hope they all know how much of an impact on my life and how much they mean to me. Our Rose City T-girl are wonderful. Thanks Julie and Trixie for the BBQ and wonderful night. On a side note Julie, Cassandra and Peggy have met me as my male self before but this was the first time Trixie has seen me this way which is always fun

Harvey’s Comedy Club in July

Well my Susan time has been limited the last few months so I always am happy when I can get out even for a short time. I did get out briefly two weeks ago on Friday, I needed to get my nails done and I got home early from work so I took advantage of the opportunity. I know people probably think it is a little silly to spend the time getting ready for such a short outing but I enjoyed it, it took me about an hour and I was on my way. I had already called the nail salon as I was driving hoe and got an appointment so I was rushed but I made it on time. I was getting a pedicure and manicure so I was really looking forward to it.

I got there and they were ready for me so it was right into the chair for my pedicure. Another lady did my pedicure and she did an excellent job. Getting a pedicure is so relaxing. I had her put on a bright pink color this time as it is summer. Now it was time for my manicure, well actually a fill as I have kept a thin coat of acrylic on my nails since I went to Diva Las Vegas the end of March. Anna did my nails and always does an excellent job. It took about an hour and 20 minutes and I was all done. Now it was time to go home and change back to my male self as I had to be someplace shortly. It really would have been easier if I went as my male self but I just can’t bring myself to go to the nail salon any other way than as Susan.

Well that brings me to tonight Saturday July 1^st, I had to work today and then had family things I had to do after work so I told the girls I would meet them at Harvey’s as I would be late. I got home about 7:15 and it was a mad rush to get ready, the only thing had going for me was I had picked out my dress last night and if I didn’t change my mind I would be fine. I was ready a little after 8 and on my way. I was parking by Harvey’s by 8:30.

I walked in and Julie and Trixie were there, it was so great to see them again. I really have missed seeing my friends more than my time as Susan, they have become such a big part of my life and they mean so much to me. We talked for a little bit before others started to show up, we had a decent size group tonight, I think 18. We took a group picture tonight which was nice, this was not everyone. We had Laura, Max, Julie, Trixie, Melissa, Jan, Lynn, Kate, Karen, Barb, Peggy, Cassandra, Sophie, and several others who showed up later. It was great to see them all again. I got to talk a little with each of them but would have liked to have more time but soon the show would start. Peggy Julie, Trixie and I talked a lot.

Soon it was time for the show to start and we all went inside. I sat between Melissa and Peggy with Julie and Trixie across from me and Cassandra on the other side of Peggy. Kate Laura, Max and another girl filled out our table. The other girl came last month to Harvey’s with us but I don’t think she has joined our group. I think her name is Narcisa and that is a guess at the spelling so forgive me if I am wrong.

Now at the other table were Jan, Lynn, Karen, Sophie, Barb and her friend and a couple others. Cassandra and I were both taking pictures of everyone and a lady from the next table came over and asked if we wanted her to take a group picture of our table which of course we did.

The show started and it was good as always, if MC comedian was good and the featured comedian was also really good but the headliner was awesome. We always have such a fun night here. We have been coming here every month now for at least 5 or 6 years plus we did come here occasionally all the way back to 2009. This is our longest and most consistent outing we do.

It is amazing how fast the night went by, we had a good dinner, a lot of laughs and most important wonderful friends to share it with.

Strangely with all the pictures that were taken I didn’t get one of just myself so I will share one of me and Melissa. The night went by way to fast though. On the way, out we stopped and talked to the comedian’s and told them how much we enjoyed their show, and of course they thanked us for coming. It was an awesome night.

Not sure when I will get out again but I really do need to get a manicure as it has been over two weeks and my nails are a little long for my male life. I will have to try and find a couple hours to fit that in as I said before, I need time to become Susan to go to the nail salon.

Last, I want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Fourth of July, as we celebrate our nations birthday let’s all put aside our differences, personal, political and whatever else and come together as Americans.
