Dinner at Southland Whiskey Kitchen

Wednesday is here and the dinner tonight is at Southland Whiskey Kitchen restaurant on NW 23rd in Portland. The group has come here several time although this is only my second time. They have really good food and the price good. Now I Knew Cassandra and Melissa would be there but didn’t know who else. I started getting ready early as I wanted to get there a little early as the one bad thing about here is the parking. I was on my way a little before 6. Traffic wasn’t bad ad I was there about 20 after 6. I did drive around the block a couple times before going further down 23 rd. I found a parking spot about 4 blocks down. It is amazing how easily I get out of my car now. I walked the 4 blocks and it was a little cold out but not bad.

I got there and Cassandra was already there. We had a chance to talk a little while we waited for others to show up. We talked a little about Cristine, Turns out the funeral home was able to contact her children and one had called Cassandra. We also talked a little about Diva Las Vegas which is only 4 weeks away. We are both looking forward to going again this year. We are booked at The California downtown.

Melissa showed up next and the 3 of us talked some more as we were waiting for the 3 remaining girls to show up. Melissa is planning on going to Diva Las Vegas this year with her wife. so we will have at least 8 of us there from our group. Bambi and Kris showed up and finally the last girl showed up so there was 8 of us here tonight. We talked for a little bit before ordering dinner.

Now it was pretty busy here tonight so it was also fun to people watch. Our dinners came and the food was awesome although I did eat more than I should have. One of the reasons I can’t seem to loose weight. I did skip dessert though. After dinner we talked for a little but before some of the girls left. Soon it was just Cassandra, Melissa and me left. We only stayed maybe 10 minutes longer before we all left. It was a good night out with my friends.

out for a Friday night at Sweet Home

It is the end of the week and I am looking forward to a fun Friday night. It is always good when I can get together with friends and just be out as Susan. Now I did make it out twice this week already, once to a PFLAG meeting to hear Cassandra speak about our group and of course Wednesday night dinner at Who Song & Larry. This means with going out Saturday night I will have been out 4 times this week as Susan. Now I hope over the next few weeks I will get out even more as I do need to do some shopping as I need a few things for Diva Las Vegas which is coming up fast, 5 weeks away. There is still time to register if you want to go to Diva Las Vegas. Check out their web page if you want more information and also check out the photos from past years. The years I went are 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 so you can look for me in some of the pictures. You can also read my blogs from those years here, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015. It really is a wonderful time. Now My friends and I are staying downtown at the California hotel casino this year which is owned by Boyd Gaming, we wanted to try downtown and the room rates are a lot better. We are really looking forward to it. we will be there for 8 nights.

Well back to Friday night, I got a late start getting ready so it was a little after 6 when I left home. I got to Sweet Home and luck was with me as I got 1 of the 3 parking spots in their lot, first time I haven’t had to park on the street in a long time. Robyn, Chris and Roxy were already there as they are the early crowd. I joined them and ordered dinner and of course got my computer out and took care of some thing I had to do. I may have to get a new computer as mine won’t do the update to Windows 10, for the last several weeks it downloads it but wont install it. I have to take the battery out a couple times each day to get it to reinstall the previous version but than this computer is over 5 years old.

We talked and of course I played on my computer, it was a typical Friday night out with my friends. The bar was a little busy for as early as it was which is always good and there were some new faces in the crowd. Chris and Robyn played pool as always, they are both pretty good.  Robyn played some video lottery  but didn’t do well this week.

It was about 9 and the other group that comes for Karaoke started to show up, Heather was out tonight and it is always good to see her. It was a good crowd here tonight. Roxy was the first of our group to leave as she works on Saturday. and soon Chris also left about 9:30.

Two guys came over and sat at our table for a while, I think there names were David and Michael but I am horrible at remembering names. They talked more with Robyn them me as they had all been in the military so they had a lot in common. It was a good night.

It was a little after 10 when Robyn and I called it a night. It was a great start to the weekend.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.

Wednesday night dinner at Who Song & Larry

Wednesday is here and I am going out to dinner with my friends, we are going to Who Song & Larry. We have gone here several times and it is always a fun night with good food. I was looking forward to dinner. Now I started getting ready taking my time and I had my Red and Black dress all set out to wear. I started doing my make up and it turned out really well. Now it was time to get dressed and of course I changed my mind and went with my black and gold dress instead.

I got to Who Song and Larry by 6:20 so I was early as we were not meeting till 7. Well early or not I decided to go inside and wait for others to show up. now as I entered there was a group of about 8 young ladies guessing early 20’s there waiting for a table and they were all in dresses and heels. I really love it when I see other girls all dressed up. As I walked by them I saw Jan and Lynn sitting in the bar so I went and joined them. Now Cassandra called me about 6:35 as she was caught in traffic. I checked with the host and turns out they were really busy with a couple big parties. I told her we had 8 tonight coming and she told me it would be about an hour. I told her that was fine as our girls were caught in traffic.

I went back and joined Jan & Lynn in the bar. The group of girls came up to get drinks while they waited for there table. Now as I said they were all dressed really nice but the one had pink hair and it really looked cute on her so I just had to tell her how cute her hair was, she thanked me and we chatted for just a moment. It was just about 7 when Cassandra showed up. Now the 4 of us talked in the bar as we waited, both for the rest of our group to show up and also our table. Bambi and Kris showed up so we were up to 6 now. The lady came over and told us they had a group just leaving and would clean the table and get it set up for us as soon as they could and thanked us for being so nice about the wait. I really didn’t think anything about the wait as we were having a good time talking. Our table was finally ready and we were shown to it. It was a little before 8, wow it didn’t seem like were waited that long.

Joan showed up right after we sat down and it wasn’t long and Kim showed up. Kim is our favorite waitress from Harvey’s and have come out with us before to Who Song and Larry’s. It was good to see her here in a social setting as at Susan at Who Song & LarryHarvey’s she is working but tonight we can talk more. It was a really fun night with good food and conversation. Now as I said we have come here several times before and we always get the same waiter but tonight he was working a big party in the back room so we got another waitress named Leah and she was really nice and treated us well.

Now I really did eat to much as they have the best chips and salsa as they make them fresh here so the chips are warm when they bring them to the table. I could make a meal out of them. For dinner I had the all you can eat Enchilada’s, really good.

After dinner we sat and talked for so more. The night went by so fast, it was hard to believe. soon it was after 10. As we were getting ready to go I took the opportunity to get a couple quick selfie’s. As we were leaving Leah our waitress wished us a good evening and called me by my name which was nice.

Susan at Who Song & LarryIt was 10:20 when we left. it was a fun night out with good friends. I stayed out a lot later then I planned but it was worth it although in the morning I may not feel the same way.

Now my little advice to all, be happy with yourself and who you are. If you cant’s find joy and happiness in yourself other people will not change that. Also find supportive friends that you can get together with, talk and go places. The more you go out the easier it becomes and it will open a whole new world to you.

Thanks for reading.

Wednesday night dinner at Rock bottom

It is Wednesday and the group is going to the Rock Bottom Restaurant for dinner. The group has gone here a couple times before although I only made it once. It is a nice place and really big inside with 3 pool tables and a couple shuffle board tables. It really is a nice place to go and very friendly and accepting.

I started getting ready with the hopes of being early. I was on my way by 6 but when I got downtown it was hard to find parking which is the only bad thing about this place. I finally found a parking spot 3 blocks away. Funny years ago I would have not gone unless I could park close to where I was going. Now it was pouring down rain so with my umbrella I started walking to the Rock Bottom.

I got to the Rock Bottom and Cassandra was already there. Now we knew a couple others would be there as they had posted in the group they would which was nice. Always hard going someplace and not knowing how many will show up. It turns out we had a good turnout tonight, one of our bigger Wednesday night dinners. Amber, Laura M, Melissa, Bambi and Kris showed up. We talked for a while before ordering dinner.

I ordered a pizza which was really good. As we were finishing dinner Victoria and Shadow showed up so we had 9 here tonight. They ordered dinner and we all moved over to the pool tables so we could play a few games. Several of the girls played while I opted for a hot brownie and ice cream desert. It was so good. If you are looking for a fun place to go for dinner with some friends this is a place to check out.

Now I had only planned on being out till 9 as I get up early for work but we all know how that goes. I stayed and watch some of the pool games and talked with some of the girls before leaving. it was about 9:45 when I left. it was still raining not as hard as earlier but still pretty hard so once again I was walking the streets with my umbrella. Again I was thinking about how far I have come. A few years ago I would have been scared to death and never thought of walking the streets of Portland at night by myself.

I got home a little after 10 and got ready for bed. It was a wonderful night out with my friends.

Wednesday night dinner and a loss of a dear sister.

100_4808I am writing this blog on Thursday for last night and as such I will start off about today. Early this morning my dear friend Cristine passed away peacefully. She had been in ICU for 14 days in critical condition. I did get to visit with her on Tuesday and even talk with her for a little while. I have had the privilege of knowing her for 9 years and I can say she helped me grow and changed my life. She touched so many340 peoples lives. The world is a little sadder place today but she will live on in our hearts. I am including some of my favorite memories of Cristine over the years.

It has been a tough couple weeks and it has really made me appreciate my wonderful friends. I really loo forward to spending time with them. Tonight we were going to the Old Time Pizza parlor downtown Portland. The group has been going here for a long time but I have never made it on the nights they went here so for me this will be a new place to go. I was looking forward to it. Now I know Cassandra will be there and also Bobbie. He is Cristine’s partner and has been by her side the whole time she has been in the hospital, day and night. Now I don’t make a lot 100_4691of Wednesday night dinners but I am going to try and make more. Cassandra, Julie and Cristine were always the ones you could  count on being there. Cassandra and I were talking we may start doing a sign up for dinner just so we know there will be someone else there and no one shows up and finds themselves by them selves.

I got downtown early a little after 6 so I went to fox & Hounds. I sat at the bar and had a drink as I waited to see if anyone else would show up early. It was about 6:40 when Cassandra texted me and said she was going straight to the pizza place which is just around the corner. As I was getting ready to leave Bobbie showed up so we walked over together. We were the first ones there.P1010052 Cassandra showed up about 7 and joined us.

WE talked a little about Cristine and got caught up on her condition. It was about 7:20 when we ordered dinner. It looked like it might just be the 3 of us. It was about 7:30 when Bambi, Kris and Danielle showed up. It was good to see them out. WE had a nice dinner and good conversation and yes a lot of it was about Cristine. Those of us who knew her know how big of an impact she had on our lives. She was our family as much as we were hers. Like so many in the Transgender community you can lose all your friends and family. Cassandra has done a lot the last couple weeks and we all thank her for her caring and willingness to help her.

By 9:15 all the girls had left but Cassandra and me. We sat there and kept talking, we talked till 10:15. We knew the odds were against Cristine but we were both hoping for a miracle. It was a good night out and we were hoping for the best.

As I said this morning Cristine passed away. She will be missed and I hope she knows how big of an impact she had not only on my life but so many people, she did touch so many lives. In the Transgender community we tend to stay isolated even with our closest friends. Some of my closest friends don’t know my real name and I don’t know theirs. We will have a celebration of life for Cristine on February 11th which I think will help a lot of our group. We will all miss you Cristine but you will always be with us in our hearts and thoughts.

Wednesday night dinner with friends.

It was Wednesday and I was looking forward to going out to dinner with my friends. The first half of January I didn’t get out because of the weather so I am going to make up for it now. We were going to House of Louie for Chinese tonight. Also I was looking forward to catching up with my friends and of course getting an update on Cristine. She is still in ICU on life support. We did set up a go fund me account for her to help with the expenses. My blogs for cristinea while will have a link to it, here is a picture of her. She has been one of our most active and supportive members and was one of the first to join our Rose City T-Girl group here in Portland. A little background on her, she was also instrumental in changing some of the laws in Oregon for the LGBT and testified in Salem Oregon before the house committee over 10 years ago to help pass some of the laws that protect everyone in the LGBT here in Oregon.

I started getting ready early as I wanted to be downtown by 6, yes a little more time for me to be out. I timed it perfect as I got there right at 6 and found a parking spot right on the corner almost in front of Fox & Hound. Now I had to walk past Fox & hound down to the middle of the block to pay for parking. I was walking back when I saw a Police officer by my car, he looked at me as I was walking back and asked if it was my car and I showed him my parking ticket and he wished me a good evening and went to the car that was 2 spaces in front of me which was parked in a loading zone and I am sure that car got a ticket. Now I know there is a lot of negativity towards the police but this officer was very professional and polite to me. I know they have a hard job and most of the time when you have interaction with them it is not the best of circumstances but just think what it would be like without them. I support our men and woman in blue.

I got inside Fox & Hounds and got a drink. I texted Cassandra to make sure she was meeting here before we go to House of Louie which is only 2 blocks away. Turns out she was caught in traffic and figured she wouldn’t make it till 7 so she would go right to House of Louie. Julie texted me she would meet me at Fox & hounds so I waited for her. She got there about 6:50 so she probably had a little traffic to deal with also. It was good to see her again as this may be the last time I see her till Diva Las Vegas as she is going on vacation till then and will be out of the area. It was nice talking with her till 7 when we headed over to House of Louie well with one detour. We were about half way when she noticed she didn’t have her phone so we walked back to her car to get it. It was funny as we were walking and talking didn’t even once think about how I was dressed, we were just two woman walking along.

WE got to House of Louie and Cassandra and another girl was there. Looks like it will be a small group tonight especially without Cristine. She went out almost every Wednesday night for dinner with us. WE talked for a little bit and then ordered as we were all hungry. Right after we ordered Bambi and Kris showed up. It was good to see them again. They are coming out a lot more regular which is nice. Also Danielle showed up. She is one of our newer members and this was her first time out with the group. It was nice to meet her and get a chance to talk with her and get to know her. Kelly also showed up a little later so we had 8 of us tonight.

Of course a lot of the conversation was about Cristine. She is still on life support although they were able to get her to breath on her own for about 3 hours before they had to put her back on the ventilator and they even got her up for a short walk which is wonderful news but she has a long way to go. Bobbie called Cassandra and we were able to talk to her somewhat as she was awake and Bobbie held the phone so we could talk to her, she can’t talk back as she still has tubes in but Bobbie said she was smiling hearing our voices.

We talked of ways we could help her and the group decided we should set up a go fund me account. This is something new to all of us but it is wonderful that the internet can allow you to do something like this. We had a nice dinner and good conversation and it was just wonderful to be out with my friends. I think we all felt a little more connected tonight as we all are thinking how precious life is now and how important friends and family are.

It was about 9 when we left. some of the girls went to CC Slaughters and I joined them for a few minutes. Just to see what was going on inside. They weren’t busy but it was still early. Well I have to get up early for work so I said my goodbyes and off I went to my car. It was a fun night out and I really enjoyed being with my friends.

Wednesday night dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse.

It is Wednesday and I was really looking forward to going out to dinner with my friends. It has been a while since I have been out for a midweek dinner. Cassandra had made reservations at Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Portland. It is a higher end restaurant but it was our Christmas dinner. Now our reservation was for 7 but Cassandra was going to try to be there by 6 so that was my goal also. I started getting ready at 4 as I really love this time, doing my makeup and planning what to wear and how I want to look for the night. It doesn’t matter what happens during the day everything is better once I start becoming Susan.

I was ready and on my way by 5:30, I got downtown Portland and was parking a block away by 6. It is funny as Morton’s Steakhouse is only 2 blocks from our Attorney’s office and I actually parked in the same place I parked a few years back when we had our last meeting with our attorney. Now I haven’t talked about the P-club for a while and there really is no new information. We have gotten a little money as they have collected maybe $30,000 so far and that was divided up between those in the suit. They may sound like a lot but the sad thing is it doesn’t even cover the interest he is being charged on the verdict. We may never collect all of it but every time he gets money the state will take some and give it to us and he will once again be reminded what he did was wrong. Well back to our dinner, I walked the block to Morton’s and went in, they were packed. The Lounge was full. I walked through the lounge which really was small. One lady stopped me and told me how cute my heels were which made me feel good. The Lady at the door asked if I was with the T-girl group and I said yes. Turns out because of the size of our group we got one of their special dinning rooms which they had all set up for us.

Group at Mortons Steakhouse 12-28-2016 (8)She showed me to the room and Sophie was already there so I wasn’t the first to arrive. Now I had to get a selfie to remember the night. It was good to see Sophia and we got to talk a little as we waited for others to show up.

Cassandra was the next to arrive, she said we had 15 signed up for tonight’s dinner which was nice. It would be a fun night with that many. No down to business Cassandra and I talked about Diva Las Vegas. It is hard to believe it is only 3 months away. Now we are planning on driving down again so it will be a road trip.

Yes I will get my nails done on Thursday night, pretty long acrylic nails. We will leave early Friday morning and drive straight through to Las Vegas, it takes about 16 hours so we will get there between 8 and 9 pm. We are planning on staying downtown at the Freemont Hotel Casino. It is cheaper then staying on the strip and as we are staying 8 night there. The following Saturday we are planning on driving to Long Beach California and going out to Hamburger Marry for T-girl nights which is the first Saturday of every month. We did this a couple years ago and had a blast. After that we are still deciding if we will come home on Sunday or stop off in San Francisco. I don’t have to be back to work till that Wednesday so as long as I have time on Tuesday to remove my acrylic nails I am fine with when we get home. Now as I said Cassandra and I are going Julie is a strong maybe. Veronica will meet us there and I will be sharing a room with her to keep cost down so I have more money for fun things. Sophie and Melissa are thinking of going as is Brenda and a few others from our group. It will be so much fun. Cassandra is going to book our rooms so we can get rooms next to each other. Now that we have that all worked out back to tonight’s dinner.

Group at Mortons Steakhouse 12-28-2016 (6)Brenda showed up and I almost didn’t recognize her as she has let her hair grow out and looked great. Julie also showed up and I got to sit next to her and we got to talk all night. Julie will be finishing up her vacation in Palm Springs and is planning on coming to Las Vegas with us. I hope she makes it.

Emma also showed up and I think I have met her once or twice before although she doesn’t go out much with the group. It was nice to talk with her and get to know her a little more. now a sideGroup at Mortons Steakhouse 12-28-2016 (11) note Morton’s Steakhouse had special menus printed up for us and of course I had to take a picture as it said Rose City T-girls Christmas dinner on the top, how awesome is that. Melissa, Laura, Lou (AKA Lisa), Joan, Bambi, Kris, Jamie and her girlfriend showed up and Cristine was the last to show up. Wow Cristine is almost always one of the first there. Any way all 15 showed up which was awesome.

Now it was time to order and as I said it is a higher end restaurant so the prices are higher but wow the food was awesome. Now I went the Pork chop and potatoes which was really good. The side dishes were big and meant to be shared so I also got to try some Broccoli and Creamed corn and that was also really well. The wait staff here was awesome and every one of them referred to us as miss which made us feel great. Now of course Julie and I had to compare nails as she also got a manicure for tonight of course she got to have red on her nails so hers were prettier. It is fun talking about going to the nail salon or makeup, you know a little girl talk.

After dinner Julie and I shared an ice cream Sunday and even between the two of us we couldn’t finish it. I really did eat way to much but it was all so wonderful. Now after IMG_03061dinner we got one of the waiters to take a group picture of us and I just have to include it. What a fun night.

Now Morton’s Steakhouse closes at 10 pm so I was hoping not to be out to late but time went by so fast. Soon it was 10:30 and they never said a thing to us about us being late. We all paid our bills and were getting ready to leave and several of the wait staff came over and thanked us for coming in and invited us back, what great customer service. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good dinner out as a treat.

We said our goodbyes and left, Sophie Cassandra and I walked together as we all parked the same area, actually Cassandra parked one car in front of me. we have a wonderful group and so supportive. It is amazing how far I have come as Susan with the support of my friends here in the group. If you live in Oregon or Southwest Washington or you come to Portland and want to go out you are more than welcome to join us or our group the Rose City T-girls.

Thanks for Reading and have a Happy and Safe New Years.

Wednesday night Dinner at Who Song & Larry

Okay busy week and I am a little behind in posting this blog. Wednesday night I went out to dinner with my friends at Who Song & Larry which is always a fun night.  actually like these dinners when I can make them as they are smaller groups and a lot easier to talk with everyone. I started getting ready when I got home from the gym. I really love this time as it is so relaxing. With my makeup done it was time to pick out what I would wear, I decided on my black skirt, sweater top and my boots. I really like this look.

We were meeting at Who Song & Larry’s at 7 for dinner but I was early. I got there about 6:15 and parked. I was just getting ready to get out of the car when I got a phone call from family so I sat in the car to talk. I watched Cassandra and Melissa walk by while I was talking. It was about 6:30 when I got inside, Cristine was also there already.

They weren’t really busy so we were taken right to our table. We had a table for 8 even though we didn’t know how many would show up. Julie showed up right after we go to our table and that would be it for the night, just the 5 of us. We sat and talked till about 7:30 just incase others showed up. now the bad thing about this is they serve salsa and chip which they make here and they are so good. I think we all could have made a meal out of just that. Yes I ate way to many chips.

We ordered dinner and most of us got there special which was really good as always. It was a fun night and we sat and talked about so many things. We had a really nice time, it was almost 10 when we left.

Wednesday night dinner at Southland Whiskey Kitchen

Susan Miller at Clackamas Town CenterNow I was looking forward to our Wednesday night dinner as we are going to Southland Whiskey Kitchen. The group has gone here once before, but this will be my first time. I really do love going to knew places. Now we have been going to some different places for dinner we have about 10 places we rotate through and it has been fun. I really thing going to new and different places and being out out and visible lets people see us for who we are and that is a good thing.

I started getting ready at 4:30 to get ready as I wanted to look my best. It still amazes me that I not only take so much time to get ready just to go out to dinner but I actually look forward to the time I spend. It really is fun to get all dolled up and looking pretty. Now as I said I have never been here before so I used my GPS to find it, I really love my GPS don’t know how we found places before them.

I left my house at 6 and was on my way. luckily going into Portland there was no traffic as everyone was heading home. I got there at 6:30 but it took me about 10 minutes to find a parking spot. It was funny as there was a car trying to park behind another car by a drive but there wasn’t enough room. He tried several times and he was right up to the other cars bumper and I was waiting for him to get parked as he was in and out of the street. I really couldn’t figure out what he was doing as the spot was just to small to park in and I wanted to get by to look for a parking spot. As I said it was a funny story as he finally gave up and started down the street and I was getting ready to drive down the road when a man walked right in front of me to cross the street. I think he was also watching this guy try to park there. any way he crossed in front of me and went to the car that was right in front of the gut trying to park and got in and left leaving me a nice place to park.

I had about a block to walk to the restaurant. I got there about 6:40 and Cassandra and Peggy were already there. It was nice to see them again and Peggy was wearing a really cute black dress and heels. WE talked and were kind of watching the final game of the world Series, Chicago Cubs against the Cleveland Indians. Cristine and Julie showed up and we sat and talked for a while incase others showed up before ordering. Now they have a really good menu and their prices are not bad considering how much you get. I really didn’t realizes how big their orders were and got way more food then I needed but it was so good I ate most of it. The service was good the food awesome, the only drawback was parking and I can’t really fault them for that so I would give the 5 stars. I must go for good food if you are in Portland.

Joan also showed up so we had 6 of us for dinner. It was a fun night and Peggy even brought desert and it was really good. We had a nice time talking and of course watching the World Series, Now the game was tied up in the ninth inning and it was a good game. I really must try to make more of the Wednesday night dinners. I also need to get back to going to Starbucks more, it is just nice to be able to get out as Susan more.

We sat and talked as we wanted to stay and see the end of the game but as they went into extra innings they had a rain delay so we all decided to call it a night. we said our goodbyes and headed home. It was a really good night out with my friends. I actually got home in time to see the end of the game and the Cubs won.

Thursday night dinner with Julie

Okay I have been out all day shopping and now I am sitting at Starbucks at Jansen Beech. Julie and I are meeting for dinner at Stanford’s and she is meeting me here at Starbuck. It was about 6:30 when Julie arrived at Starbuck. It was goo to see her again. We talked for a little bit before we drove over to Stanford’s. I have been here a couple times before but it was years ago. Now being so late they were not real busy so we got right in.

We got a nice little both ad talked for a while before we ordered. Our waitress came back several time to see if we were ready to order before we actually were as we were busy talking. Well we finally ordered dinner. We had nice diner conversation and it was a really enjoyable time.

After dinner we sat and talked for a long time, it was amazing how fast the time past. it was after 10:30 when we finally left. I really do love going out with the group but smaller groups can be really nice also as it gives you more of a chance to talk. Wednesday night we had 5 and we could sit and talk with everyone at the table, tonight with just the two of us it was really easy to talk. It is funny how in my male life I am not a big talker, probably because the conversations aren’t as much fun. It is way more fun to talk about clothes, makeup nails hair and the like although we did discuses politics a little. It was okay as Julie and I have pretty much the same political views which I kind of new before we started talking about it. This and Religion are topics I avoid most of the time as people have very strong views on both and I have lost a few Facebook friends because they didn’t agree with my views which I find really sad. being in the Transgender LGBT community you would think people would be more accepting to other ideas as for years all we wanted was to be accepted for who we are but it seems some want that for themselves but are not tolerant of others so just for the record I don’t care what your views are I do not pick my friends that way. All I need or expect from my friends are to accept me for who I am views and all and I will do the same. Wow got off track there but I am back again.

I had really nice time having dinner wit Julie and hope to do it more. Maybe even get together like this with some of the other girls in the group also as I think you really get to know a person that way. Any way we said our goodbyes and we were on our way home. the only bad part of the night is both of us forgot to get pictures. It was just such a normal and relaxing evening out we never thought about a picture to remember it by.

Thanks for reading
