A little time out at Starbuck’s

Well Saturday afternoon I had some time to be Susan. It was too late to go to the garden Party so I decided to go to Starbuck’s for a little while. I went to the Starbuck’s I that I use to go to every week, it has been a long while since I have been here.

I got there a little before 5 and went in. there were a couple people in line for drinks but no one sitting at the tables. I waited my turn and then ordered an ice tea. I had one the other day and it was good and as it wasn’t cold out I really didn’t want a hot drink. Now the other girl behind the counter smiled at me and said, not having a hot chocolate today. Now I know I probably stand out but she not only remembered me but what I ordered and it has been several months since I have been here.

I got my drink and sat down at a table and broke out my computer to catch up on e-mails and surf the internet. Now more people came in and soon most of the tables were full. It is always kind of fun to go places and people watch. I spent about 2 hours here before I left.

On the way home I decided to stop and get some food, I stopped at a Panda Express, I can eat their food with a fork and not mess up my lipstick. Now they were really busy and I had to stand for a while to get up and order my food. I guess everyone else had the same thought I did. As I stood in line I was looking around and there were no open tables so I was going to have to get my food to go and take it home. Not as much fun as if I had been able to sit there and eat.

It was a quick day out but still fun.

A fun Friday night out with Friends

Well it is Friday night so time for Susan to get out and spend some time with her friends. Now a few of our core group are out of town still so I figured it would be a slow night but that didn’t matter. I just decided to go a little early and take my computer and have fun.

I got to Sweethome around 6:15 and went inside, I put my purse and computer on the table and was just about to sit when I heard someone call my name and turned around to see Danielle & Rachel at the bar. These are the girls that got our group coming here after the P-Club incident. I went over and talked with them for a while, Danielle and her partner Kelly just got back from a vacation to Hawaii so I of course had to find out how it was and they both had a wonderful time which of course how could you not being in Hawaii. I also found out Danielle and Kelly are still not smoking, they quit 9 weeks ago and are doing great. I am so proud of them both.

Well I went back to my table and broke out my computer and started doing stuff on it while I waited for others to show up, it was about 7:15 when Cristine showed up and Lynn and Jan were not far behind her and then Cassie showed up so by 8 pm there were 5 of us there. We talked and had dinner. Diane even showed up, she is in town this weekend so that was a great surprise. Actually I think she is going to be moving back to Portland soon I hope. It was great to talk with her again.

It was a little later and a few more girls showed up, Stefia, Carolyn and Marilyn. They stopped by for a little while, Carolyn was out last week so it was good to see her again, it was nice to see Marilyn also as it has been a really long time since I have seen her, I think they are both doing the makeup class tomorrow at Nordstrom’s at Washington Square. That would be so much fun but Susan can’t make it out tomorrow. I did do one of the classes a little over a year ago and had a blast. I got to talk with Stefia for a while. We really need to get together again for lunch or dinner. She had just got back from a trip Amsterdam where she traveled as Stefia, actually she was Stefia the whole time except for about a half day when she gave her lecture how cool is that. I have always wondered what it would be like to fly and go through an airport as Susan. From the people I have talked to they say it is not that different as they treat you like any other woman. Any way I got to hear about her trip and it sounds like so much fun.

Now it was about 10:30 when Robin showed up, she is one of our groups newer members and she had posted she would be here late and wanted to make sure some of us would be there, this was actually her first time going out as Robin. She seemed really nice and of course we all asked her question trying to get to know her and told her a little about our group and some of the fun things we do. She was really nice and I hope she keeps coming out although like so many she hast to keep this a secret even from her wife so it will be hard for her to get out regular.

Now Cassie met a girl at the bar named Megan she was here by herself so Cassie invited her to come sit with us which she did. She was really awesome and fun to talk with. I even got a few picture with her, it was late in the evening so the pictures did not turn out that great as they were all dark or had parts or people cut off but still better than no pictures at all.

I was sure I got a picture with Stefia but it must have been on her camera as I only had a few pictures on mine and none with her which is a shame.

My blog is great for helping me remember my time out as Susan which is why I started it in the first place but pictures I just think add so much to it and as I have gotten so much more comfortable going out I tend to forget about pictures which is a shame. Actually if it had not been for Stefia getting her camera out and starting with the pictures I would have forgotten again and had none for my blog so Thanks Stefia.

Well as it got later some of our group left. Diane and I got a good chance to talk with Megan and she had some question and we did our best to answer them and it worked out well as Diane could answer the questions on transitioning and I handled the ones on crossdressing. This is a picture of me with Megan and part of Cassie, like I said we had a little trouble taking pictures tonight. I do have one more I will include though.

Megan was really fun and we all had a great time. Now it had been a long day for my male self so I had only planned on staying till about midnight but we were having such a good conversation that time got away from me and before I knew it, it was after 1 am. Wow the night went by so fast.

Well it was time to go so I went up and paid my bill and said my goodbyes. Diane and Megan were still there talking when I left. What a great night it was.

Okay the last picture I had to use the computer to brighten it up as it was really dark but I had to include it as it shows Cassie in it and behind us is Diane with her fingers above our heads. Came out a little blurry but still cute.

Fun Saturday afternoon

Well I had the chance to go out Saturday afternoon, Sandy a friend of mine from up North was going to be in town for the afternoon and wanted to know if I was available. Well I made myself available as it would be fun to spend some time with Sandy. Now she only had a few hours in the afternoon and we talked about meeting downtown and walking around and maybe doing some shopping and then dinner.

Now I wasn’t sure when Sandy would be ready so I decided to get ready and go out to Starbucks as it has been a while since I have been there. I went to the one at Cascade Station by the airport as there are also stores there I could shop at. I parked and went in and ordered an ice tea as it was warm outside. They were busy so I had to wait in line for my drink.

Now as it was nice outside, sunny and warm and no wind I decided to sit outside on the side walk where I could watch people walk by. It was really nice out although the bright light did make my computer screen a little hard to see but it was worth it. I spent about an hour here catching up on e-mails and chatting with a friend on Facebook.

It was a little before 2 when Sandy called me and said she was ready and ready to leave Victoria’s which is where she went to dress. We decided to meet at Fox & Hound as it was about the middle between us and parking is good there. I got downtown Portland about 2:15 and as I didn’t know what we would be doing I wasn’t sure if I should park in a parking lot or street park. As I drove around I found some spots one block North of where I normally park and they had 5 hour street parking there so that is where I parked and walked the 2 blocks to Fox & Hound.

Sandy arrive right after I did, it was great to see her again. We sat down to have a drink first before we left and started talking. We talked about so many things, I learned more about her and her family. We even talked about, Sandy even asked me where I saw myself in a few years. I have thought about this before and Cassandra and I have even talked about it, will there come a time when I just don’t think I can dress anymore. Who knows but for now it is something I love to do and I need to do, I will worry about the future later.

Well before we knew it, it was 5 and we had been sitting here talking for 3 hours. I guess time kind of got away from us. We talked about places close we could go eat and in the end we decided to stay here and eat. We ordered dinner and kept on talking. It was a really nice time and I got to know Sandy a lot better. We even talked about her apartment her and a few other girls had. They had rented an apartment to share where they could keep their girl stuff. They could go here to change to go out or just hang out at as girls. It only cost them between $100 and $250 a month over a few years depending on how many girls were sharing the apartment but a couple months they got down to so few that it was no longer cost effective. This was such a great idea they had, too bad it had to end.

It is funny as I thought about some of the things I have done over the years to be Susan. For a while I had roommates and I would put my stuff in my car and drive to a near bye park and go to the far end upper parking lot and dress and do my makeup in the car which is not easy. I also use to get Acrylic nails over weekends. I would rent a motel room for a few nights so I could get my nails done.

It was such a fun afternoon with Sandy, She is an awesome friend. I wish she lived down here so she could go out more with our group. Well before we knew it, it was almost 7 and she still had a 2 hour drive home. Yes she was going to drive home and stop at a rest area just a few miles from where she lives and change back to her male self which I have also done before.

Well it was finally time for the day to come to an end, turns out we both parked on the same street about a block apart so we kept talking as we walked to our cars. It really was a great day and I was sad to see it come to an end. I am looking forward to her next visit. On the way home it hit me I never thought to get a picture of us together which I had planned to do, I guess just a blonde moment.

Quiet Friday night with friends

Well it has been another long week so I was looking forward to a fun night out. Now I was all ready by a little after 6 so I grabbed my laptop and off I went figuring I would get to Sweethome a little early, plus I figured Chris would be there too.

I got there and I was right Chris was there with his laptop also so the two of us talked while we played on our computers. It was actually really quiet here tonight, it was just Chris and I from our group till almost 8:30. Cristine, Roxy Carolyn, and Cassie showed up so we had a small group which in a way was nice as we could all sit at one table and talk while we ate dinner. I actually like these type of nights as they are relaxing.

Now as it got later it did get a little busier but not much. Even the Karaoke group was small tonight. Heather was there from their group finishing decorating, turns out today was her fiancé David’s birthday and they were having a party for him. They are both really great, we met them shortly after we started coming here and always enjoy when they are out. Actually we have made many friends with the other groups here and none of them care how we are dressed. I think it would be a wonderful world if everyone just saw you as a person and nothing else.

Well the Karaoke started and as it was slow tonight for the first round only 2 people sang, one was Chris and they both did a great job. It was about 11 when a few more people showed up and more started singing Karaoke. Now everyone sang Happy Birthday to David it was a lot of fun.

Now it was time for the cake, Heather had made two cakes and included our group in the celebration which was so nice. The cake was awesome by the way. It was a fun night and I was again the last of our small group to leave.

Relaxing Friday night out with friends

Well I was out again on Friday night, I really look forward to the weekend as I get to go out with my friends. I got to Sweet Home at 7, I knew it would be a slow night as several of the group would not be out. Shadow and Blair were there with a new girl, Charlene who was down from Vancouver BC. I joined them and we ordered dinner and talked. This was Charlene’s first time out in public, she came down to Portland and went to Victoria’s over the rainbow transformation. It is always fun when a girl comes out for the first time. For a while I thought it would just be the 4 of us.

It was about 8:30 or so when Cassandra showed up, she was not planning on coming out tonight as her and her wife are going on a two week vacation but she got stuff taken care of and decided to come out as it will be 3 weeks till she can get out again. It was great she made it out.

Cristine, Jan and Lynn also showed up shortly after so we did have a small group out tonight. Cassandra and I played pool and it was a good game, I lost but Cassandra had to make a really good shot, she banked the 8 ball off the rail and around my ball to win, it really was an awesome shot. Shadow, Blair and Charlene left about 9:30, Charlene wanted to go dancing.

There was a good crowd here by 10:30 as the Karaoke group had a really good turnout. It is always so much fun when there are a lot of people here. I actually look forward to see there group almost as much as I do our group as they are so much fun, it is nice to be able to interact with everyone.

Cassandra was the first to leave but she couldn’t find her key’s, we all looked every place for them and the funny part is she finally found them in a zipped pocket in her purse that she says she never uses. We all had a good laugh over that.

It was after 12 and it was just Jan, Lynn and me left from our group. We all paid our bill and we called it a night. It was a fun night but went by way to fast.

Wednesday night dinner with friends.

Well it is Wednesday night and I was going out to have dinner with my friends. Now I don’t get out much on Wednesday’s but tonight was special, one of my online friends Karen was in town and she wanted to go out, I have only met her once before 2 years ago so it was a good reason to go out.

I got all dressed and was downtown by 6:30 and found a parking spot and walked to Fox & Hound, Cassandra, Chris, Julie and Cristine were all there. We were meeting here tonight but walking a couple blocks to House of Louie for Chinese food tonight. We talked for a little while and then got ready to leave for House of Louie. As we were leaving Karen test me, she was just parking around the corner so I walked over to meet her while the rest walked on to House of Louie. She actually parked 2 cars behind me.

It was great to see Karen again. We talked as we walked the 2 blocks to catch up with the others. We got there and talked for a while, we were waiting for Kim and Peggy to get there as they were also going to join us for dinner. Peggy and Cassandra are going on vacation so it will be several weeks till they get out again so it was nice to spend time with them. We had a great dinner and I enjoyed catching up with Karen but it went by way to fast.

It was getting late and Kim had to leave so I walked her to her car as it gave us a chance to talk alone which was nice, it was great she was able to come out to dinner. As I got back to the House of Louie Peggy was leaving, she had parked on the next block over so I also walked her to her car, and she is really excited about her vacation so we talked about that on the way. Now I had worn my 4″ heels the same ones I wore last Saturday when we walked to Harvey’s and I was feeling all this walking by now so I was glad to get back and sit down for a while.

It was about 9:15 when the rest of us left and walked back to CC Slaughters. Dee and Rachel and also Darla and Maya were there. It was great to see Maya and Darla out again, they use to get out with the group all the time but work has kept them busy and made it hard for them to get out. Now I really hadn’t planned on staying out much past 9 but I was having a good time and enjoying talking with Karen and Julie and before I knew it, it was after 10. It was time to call it a night. Karen was also ready to leave so as we parked almost next to each other we both left and walked together. We talked a little more, it was great to spend time with her again. She is thinking of moving to Portland next spring which would be great as she could join our group and get out more.

It was a great night out and will be worth being tired tomorrow.

Wow what a fun Saturday night, Fox & Hound first than Harvey’s Comedy Club.

Wow what a fun Saturday evening. It was our Monthly night out to Harvey’s tonight and as some of the girls went target shooting and didn’t know what time they would get to Fox & Hound I was going to do my best to get there by 6:30 as we have a few new girls coming out tonight. This mean starting to get ready by 4 as I wanted to give myself extra time so I look really good tonight. I did a brighter eye makeup tonight pinks and purples and it really turned out good as it made my eyes look brighter. I was on my way by 6 right on schedule.

I got downtown Portland and parked and went to pay for parking, there was a lady there with her 2 daughters and her husband and they were digging for change to pay the parking meter so I stood behind her and patiently waited my turn. I don’t think she noticed me but I saw her daughters looking at me but then I did have on a really cute dress and heels, they just smiled at me. I got to Fox & Hound and several of the girls were already there evidently they got done with shooting early. Cassandra, Cristine, Michelle, Jan & Lynn were all there. Over by the pool table were 4 Sailors that were in town for Rose Festival Fleet week and of course Cassandra had gone over earlier and got a picture with them which made me think about it too.

Well we all sat and talked for a while and soon a few more girls showed up, Laura, Barb, Petra and Keri. It was great to see Keri out with the group. I usually only see her when we go to Diva Las Vegas as she live a ways away. Well I finally decided I would go over and thank them all for their Service, I am still not good about walking up to people I don’t know and starting a conversation.

I got over to their group and thanked them and before I could ask if they would take a picture with me one of the Sailors Girlfriend asked if they could get pictures with me and some of the other girls and you know how much I and all the other girls like having pictures taken. This is our group photo. I will have more pictures in this blog.

We spent most of the next hour talking with them, they are actually support staff for the USS Nimitz and came down from Everett to help out with the fleet that was in town for Rose Festival. It was fun to learn more about them, where they are from and a little bit about the ships. Several of the group are former members of the military and I have family that were in the Navy.

Petra and Michelle even played doubles against them in pool and one, actually they scratched on the 8 ball and lost but it was a lot of fun. We even tried and almost had them talked into going to Harvey’s Comedy club with us tonight but one of them had the early watch in the morning.

It was about 8pm when Cassandra and Cristine left to walk over to Harvey’s the rest of us hung out with the Sailors for another half hour. Well it was time to leave, it wasn’t cold out but I wasn’t sure what it would be like at midnight so I stopped by my car to get my wrap. And then we started the 7 block walk to Harvey’s. now tonight I wore my 4″ heels, they look so good with the dress I was wearing and believe it or not before I left home I could not decide if I should wear them or my 3″ wedge, Style or comfort and so I flipped a coin and style won out. Not sure if girls would ever do this or not. This is me with 3 of the Sailors.

Well after walking 7 block to get to Harvey’s I realized the coin flip was not a good idea and I should have gone with the lower heels. We went into the lounge at Harvey’s to wait for the early show to get over and Melissa and her wife Shawna, Sophia and her Wife Lorna were there so I joined them at their table. It has been a long while since I have seen Sophia and Lorna so it was nice to talk with them.

Julie and Trixie also showed up for the show so we all crowded around a small table and talked while we waited. Now usually it is so crowded in here by 9 there is standing room only so I didn’t think there would be that big of a crowd tonight as when they opened the door to the show room there was no line at all so we got right in, which is something we really never worry about as we always let our favorite waitress Kim know how many are coming and she reserves tables for us.

This is a picture of me with one of the Sailors and his girlfriend. Well we got inside to our tables and Kim came over and talked to us, she had heard about the fun we had at Fox & Hound with the sailors so I had to show her my pictures, yes Susan loves to show off pictures of her. By now the rest of our group was in and Kim took our orders.

Now the showroom filled up and was packed so I guess a lot of the people were waiting outside as it really was a nice warm summers evening. Well the MC for the show came up on the stage and his act was to change the lyrics to some of the popular songs and make them funny which he did. He was really good although I can’t remember his name.

The featured comedian was Alex Falcone, he is not only a comedian but also writes for the TV show Portlandia which I have not actually seen and he also does a talk show and he also lives here in Portland. He was really good and we laughed so hard, I wondered how the headliner would be able to top him. If you get a chance to see him you should.

The headliner was Steven McFarlin and he came on stage and was awesome also and yes I think he did out do Alex. We laughed the whole night long, it was hard to eat or drink as we were laughing so much and that makes it such an awesome night out. I think everyone needs a night where they laugh so hard the side hurts. The show was almost 2 hours long and it did not seem like it. It went by so fast as it always does when you are having fun.

This is a picture of me with the cute Sailor and she let me try on her hat, I think I look good in the hat. Well after the show as we were walking out we got to meet all the comedians and I told them how good they all were and they thanked us for coming to the show. Harvey’s is such a fun night out and tonight we had 16 in our group for the show.

Now we had the 7 block walk back to Fox & Hound as that is where most of us parked. My feet were already sore and tired from the walk here and the couple hours I sat inside for the show only helped a little. Next time we got to Harvey’s I will go with a lower heel although I am sure I looked great in them. I actually had a hard time keeping up with the group except for Cassandra as she also wore the high heels. It was still warm out so I never actually put my wrap on I just carried it so I should have left it in the car.

It was such a fun night and I got some really good pictures to remember it. I am already looking forward to next month. Thanks for reading and I hope you all had a great weekend.

 

Friday night with friends

Well it has been a super busy week for my male self so I was really looking forward to my Susan time tonight and seeing my friends again plus it will be a busy weekend for our group. Saturday morning Jan and Lynn have reserved a shooting range for the day so a bunch of the girls are going up with their guns to do some target practice and have a BBQ and Saturday night we are going to Harvey’s Comedy Club so it will be a busy weekend.

I started getting ready at 5 tonight and rally took my time getting ready so I could enjoy it. I was all ready by 6:30 and looking good. I looked outside and it was so beautiful out not a cloud in the sky and sunny and warm I decided to change my outfit, I was going to wear my little black dress which I don’t wear that often. It is short and low cut so I would have to create cleavage for this dress to work, you can see how I do this on my how I create cleavage blog. Now as I was already and had my nails on it took a little longer as I didn’t want to lose a nail of course I could have put it right back on. Well 20 minutes later I was once again ready to leave and looking really good.

I got to Sweet Home and Chris, Cristine, Jan & Lynn were all there, Jan on boy mode, we had a pretty good group for as early as it was, Roxy showed up a little later but earlier than normal. We talked for a bit and then I ordered dinner, I had their special which was a steak dinner which was really good, actually after seeing it Chris, Roxy and Jan also ordered it. well after dinner Jan and Lynn ordered Cheese cake, turns out Paul the owner had a Lemon Cheese cake with Blueberries on top that he was trying and it looked so good I also had to order a piece. I was really disappointed though as it was better than I thought it would be so I am sure if he continues I will eat more which is bad for Susan’s waist line but there is a lot of things that fit that.

Laura and Victoria also showed up and of course all the girls that were there and didn’t play golf last weekend congratulated her on her hole in one, Victoria was still smiling about it and I am sure she will be for a while, I know I would be. We are going golfing again in August as the golf course is doing another glow ball round. We are going to go play 18 holes of golf in the afternoon, do a BBQ and then once it gets dark play 9 more holes with lighted golf balls. This was so much fun last year I am really looking forward to it again.

Well a few of the girls played pool and did okay. It was kind of a slow night again as I think the other group was off doing something else this weekend as they only had about 8 of their group here also. Well Karaoke got started and there were only about 9 that were singing so again their turns came up faster. Chris and Laura both sang a couple times and did great. It was about 10:30 when our group started to thin out as Jan and Lynn had to be p early to get the Gun range open and ready, lots going on Saturday as it will be a full day. By 11it was down to just Chris and me when Dan and Bianca arrived.

The 4 of us talked for a while, it was great to see Bianca and Dan again and get a chance to talk with them. Chris finally left and we were down to just the 3 of us and I was really getting tired now as it really had been a long week last week but I was just having so much fun. It was 11:45 when I just couldn’t make it any more, I guess my age is catching up with me. I paid my bill and said good night to Dan and Bianca. What a fun night it was.

Now I am really looking forward to Saturday night and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club as this is always such a fun night out. I think we have about 15 of us going
