Friday and a full day of Susan, shopping with Gina at Washington Square mall

It is Friday of my vacation and I have a full day. Nicole is dropping off clothes for me at noon and I am meeting Gina at 2pm at Washington Square mall for shopping. So having a tight schedule I figured I should get dressed before Nicole arrived. Well this got me thinking about the past week. Now part of the week was to see if anyone said anything about my red nails in boy mode so I have been going to a Starbucks each morning between 9 & 9:30am for an hour to post my blogs. This is a Starbucks Susan has never been to. The young lady at the counter who takes my order I was surprised does remember my male name and the fact I get a hot chocolate so I must have made an impression, yes probably easier to remember a man with long red nails. Well I wanted to see if she would recognize me so I got dressed a little early and decided today I would go to that Starbucks as Susan, order the same thing and sit at the same table. I got there at 9:30 and went in and several of the ladies here had been here the other days but the lady who has taken my order the last several days was not working so it was kind of a letdown. I ordered my hot chocolate and sat down anyway but none of the staff gave any indication they recognized me. I stayed here till 11:30 before going home to meet Nicole at noon.

Nicole arrived and we unloaded a few bags of clothes into my garage and then stood in my driveway talking for maybe 10 minutes. The new neighbor lady across the street was putting things in her garage from er car and the neighbor two houses down was out in his driveway as I stood there as Susan talking to Nicole. It was fun and Nicole and I made plans for Saturday night at the Escape, we will meet at 5:30 and I am looking forward to that. Nocole left and I grabbed my computer and left for Washington Square. There is a Starbucks right across hwy217 so if I am early which I should be I will go there. I got to that Starbucks about 1pm so I had 1 hour till I met Gina and it should only take me 5 minutes to get there but will have to find parking so I stayed here till 1:45 before I left.

I got to Nordstroms and parked right outside and went in, we were meeting at the coffee bar right outside Nordstroms. Gina texted me she would be a few minutes late as she had a low tire and had to stop and get air. She arrived about 20:10 and we just sat there and talked for 20 minutes or so before we started our shopping. Gina did have a coupe things she needed to do here and me, yes it was about being here and mainly spending time with Gina. I do a lot of things as Susan by myself which is fun but it is so much better when you are with someone else, we were just a couple ladies out for a shopping trip. We walked around for a bit just talking and then we headed for Macy’s as Gina had a pair of pants she wanted to replace for her male side. We walked around Macy’s a little till she found the pants she had bought them and it looked like the seem was fraying. She took them up and had no problem swapping them out even though she bought them as her male self and was now her female self. We walked around a little ore and made our way down to the ladies section and looked around. We walked back into the mall and stopped and Wetzel pretzels and got some cinnamon bites and lemonade and sat down at a table in the mall for a little break and talked for a while, it really was a relaxing time out.

After a while we started again and Gina wanted to go to Sephora, as she was looking for a lengthening mascara. I recommended she try the one I have been using lately called Sky Hi from Mabeline, which I love and works really well. They were really busy and must have had 12 people working so I think maybe they had some kind of event. Gina found a sales lady to help her and fund a mascara that is supposed to lengthen. We went back into the mall and walked around a little and they have an Easter display where you can get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny and Gina talked me into getting our picture taken, well it really didn’t take that much effort to get me to do it, after all I love getting pictures. We sat either side of the Easter Bunny and took several pictures and Gina and I both liked the same one. Won’t tell you the cost but the picture is cute. Don’t we look cute with the Easter Bunny. It was almost 6pm now so we walked down to the Cheesecake Factory to get something to eat, we had to wait about 10 minutes but it was not bad. It was about 6:15 when we were seated.

We looked at the menu and they have a few things that are good, especially their burgers but as I will have a burger at the Escape tomorrow night I went with a Caesar salad with chicken Gina had the same without the chicken as she was also eying a piece of cheesecake for dessert. Our waitress came and took our order and we sat and talked. It is funny as on my male side I am not big on just sitting and talking but Susan loves it. Our food came and it was really good, they really do have a good Caesar Salad here. I think the last time I ate here was several years back when I met Peggy for some shopping and we had lunch here. We finished dinner and I was good and didn’t order dessert, Gina got a piece of chocolate cheesecake which was huge and had a bunch or whip cream on it. Well Gina did talk me into taking a bite and well I probably had a half dozen bites as it was really good and we still didn’t finish all of it. We sat and talked some more; our waitress brought our bill and we paid it and talked a little while longer. It is amazing how fast time can go by. Finally Gina asked if I wanted to do a little more shopping before leaving and I looked at my phone and it was 8:50pm and the mall closes at 9. We had sat here for 2 ½ hours. We walked back to Nordstrom’s and out as we had both parked just outside Nordstrom’s. We said our goodbyes and off we went but what a fun day. It was almost 10pm when I got home.

Now I am looking forward to Saturday and going to the Escape. I decided I am going to wait till Sunday to remove the color on my nails which I guess does come with a little risk as Dream Nails has shorter hours that day and I have no idea how busy they are on Sundays but I think I will be okay.

Awesome Saturday getting a facial and makeover at Nordstrom’s Washington Square

Today was an awesome day and yes I started off going to the gym and taking care of things but was thinking the whole time about the day ahead. Jennifer had got to know a couple of the girls who work at Nordstrom’s in Washington Square, their names are Tiger who works the Gucci cosmetic counter and Harmonie who works the Clinique cosmetic counter. Well she told them about our group and they offered to do a mini facial and makeover for our members and today was the day. I had scheduled my appointment for 4pm and I think we had 8 to 10 of our group going. I started getting ready a little after 12 and took my time as I really wanted my makeup to look good. I was all ready by 1:30pm and on my way, yes I would be early and walk around the mall till my appointment. I did call Cassandra on my way and we ended up talking for almost an hour. She has also signed up for Diva Las Vegas and we talked about the events we would sign up for. It was great to talk with her and I am looking forward to seeing her in 3 weeks.

I got to Washington Square just before 3 so I had about an hour till my appointment. Now the mall was really busy and one thing I did notice was there were way more security officers here then last time I was here which was nice but also really sad that we as a country have come to this point. I did check out several of the stores but which is always fun but I was really looking forward to 4pm, so much so that I finally walked down to Nordstroms and sat at a table out front about 3:45 to wait. It was just before 4 when I went into the cosmetic section and talked with one of the ladies and she said it would be just a few minutes. Now this was a new experience for me and I wasn’t sure what to expect, I knew it was a mini facial and makeover and yes there was no cost but I was sure they expected me to buy some stuff which was okay as there were some things I needed. The lady took me back to a side room and introduced me to Tiger and Harmonie and they were so wonderful and truly made me feel at ease and so welcome. I can see why Jennifer talks so highly of them. Now Tiger and Harmonie names were easy to remember as Jennifer had texted us all about them. There were 2 other ladies here that actually work for the cosmetic company and not Nordstrom’s and I think their names are Tiffany & Crystal and they were every bit as nice and also made me feel very welcome. They also went all out as they had a table with fresh fruit, wraps and yes cookies and donut holes. They were just finishing up with Alice and Cindi and were talking to us all like we were friends, not customers, which really made it special.

Tiffany was the one who did my facial and she walked me over to another room for that. She was so friendly and talked o me the whole time, she told me about herself and I told her a lot abut me also, it was amazing how comfortable I felt talking with her. of course I was also enjoying the facial. She started with removing my makeup and doing a cleansing using what she called a Clinique 7-day scrub cream which was awesome and probably something I will buy as it worked really well, Tiffany said I should use it every 7 days but I can use it more often as it is gentle enough to use every day. She also massaged in a hydrating lotion which felt really good and yes, reminded me a lot like my pedicures. It really was relaxing; she even massaged the lotion on my fore arms and hands. I will probably do the facial again. Now to tell you the truth I have no idea how long it lasted as fun things always seem to go by so fast but I am guessing 20 to 30 minutes and by the end I felt like I had made a friend. Now it was time to walk back to the other room for my makeover.

I got back to the other room and Tiger and harmony was finishing up doing Cindi and Alice’s makeovers and were explaining what they were doing and how to apply the makeup they were using and they both looked awesome. While I waited for them to finish I did have a couple more cookies. Now it was time for me and I sat down in the chair and Crystal was the one doing my makeup and she was also awesome. She started off with a primer and then tested several foundations to find just the right shade. Now just like tiffany while she was explaining what she was doing she was also telling me about herself and I found myself telling her things about me. I think that is what made this so special and by talking about themselves and getting me to talk they made it more personal. It really was like getting together with friends for the afternoon and doing makeup. It didn’t seem like they were here because it was their job. Now she finished it off with a bronzer from Gucci which rally gave a warm look to the outer part of my face. After Crystal was done she asked if I had any questions or if I was interested in any of the items and I was. I have been looking for a good bronzer so I did tell her I wanted the bronzer from Gucci she used as it looked good on me and I also told her I wanted the Clinique 7-day scrub cream. They finished it up by taking pictures of us and I had a couple taken with my phone also. It seemed like such a fast tine but it was 5:45 now, I have been here for almost 2 hours, it went by so fast. Kris was just coming in for her appointment and it was good to see her. This was an incredible experience and all of them were awesome. Crystal and Tiffany are only here for events But Tiger and Harmonie are here all the time so if you are in Nordstrom’s at Washington Square stop by the Gucci cosmetic counter and meet Tiger Clinique cosmetic counter meet Harmonie and tell them Susan says hi. I thanked them all and the only bad thing about the day was on me, I should have gotten a picture with the 4 of them to post on my blog.

Now Cindi and Alice wanted to go to dinner and invited me, Jan and Lynn so we were all going to meet at Oswego grill for dinner. We got there and got a table in the bar for dinner. I probably should have gone home as I have to be up at 3:4am tomorrow for work but I felt and looked so good I didn’t want the night to end. We ordered dinner and sat and talked and yes it was all about today. All of us had such a wonderful experience and thought the ladies at Nordstrom’s went way above and beyond and we will all be going back to see them. We all looked so beautiful. We had a wonderful dinner and Kris was able to join us after her appointment, we were just finishing but our dinner. I Stayed a while but soon it was almost 9pm and I had a ½ drive home so I got my bill and paid it and called it a night. What a wonderful day and I want to thank Jenifer for setting today up, Nordstrom’s for hosting it and a big thanks to Tiger, Harmonie, Crystal and Tiffany for going above and beyond and making it such a special day.

It was after 10pm by the time I got home and got ready for bed so it will be a short night but so worth it.

Thursday and a day of Susan

It is Thursday and I have today and tomorrow off work so they will be Susan days. I do need a couple things so I figure I will do a little shopping as it is something to do. Now again the difference between my male self and Susan. My male self is not a big shopper, I go to the store, get what I need and go home. Susan on the other hand likes to walk around and shop. The two things I really need is foundation and lipstick, yes, I have my favorites. So, this means a trip to Walmart and a trip to Nordstrom. I got up early and worked out, yes, I am going to try to get back in the habit of working out as I want to lose some weight and also get in shape more as I am not getting any younger. I started getting ready about 7:30 am and was on my way by 9:30. Now as I said I want to go to Walmart and Nordstrom’s which is at the mall. I figured I would start at Walmart as there is a Super Center at Wilsonville and then I can come back to Clackamas Town Center to finish off my shopping. I was on my way and even ow there is still traffic so it took a little while. Now the funny thing is it turns out the Walmart is in Woodburn which is about 12 miles further. Yes, Portland does not have a Super Center as the city felt they did not pay enough and would not let them build in the city. They have since changed their minds but with all the Super centers around the city all they have built in Portland are a couple small neighborhood Walmart’s. well it took a little longer to get to Walmart but that was okay.

I got to Walmart and went in, I got a cart as I figured as long as I was here, I would do my other shopping also, seems a waist to drive this far just for lipstick. I wandered around the store for a while and got some food and cleaning supplies. It really is nice being out just doing daily stuff like shopping as Susan. Life really has changed over the last 10 years. I use to go shopping for Susan as my male self (trial and error), then I got comfortable as Susan and only shop for Susan as Susan, and now I am shopping for my male self as Susan. I guess I have come full circle. Now with the things I need for my male life it is now all about Susan.

I went to the woman’s department and I am looking for some Loggins. I really like these for a casual look although I do wear a linger top as I do need to cover a little of the leggings, I don’t have the perfect shape for Loggins so I need a little help. I found them and they were only $5.98 a pair a good price so I got two. Now it was over to the Makeup section. These are now little sections within the store, one way in and out and a checkout register. I guess they are having an issue with theft. I found my favorite lipstick (at least my favorite right now). My two favorite colors are Maybelline super stay lip ink in color “Pioneer“, which is a wonderful red color a little brighter red great for an evening out. This is me wearing this shade. my second favorite color is Maybelline super stay lip ink in color Ruler, this is more of a darker red like a brick red. I think it is an all-around good red for anytime. These lipsticks really are long wear, you can eat, drink and they stay on. Even soap and water doesn’t take them off, I will have to use baby oil and a cotton ball to get it off. Now I had to pay for this here in the makeup section and then go to the front for the rest of my purchase

I left here and drove to Clackamas Town Center and went into Nordstrom’s. my first stop was the MAC counter. Now I have seen men working here before but today it was just two men working. They were both very pleasant and helpful and asked if I wanted to try anything. I really did but didn’t want to mess with my makeup so I just told him what I needed. All my makeup are what would be callled drugstore brands, Maybelline, Covergirl, Loreal, but for my foundation I really like the MAC Studio fix. It is a full coverage foundation that still looks natural and yiu can build layers if you need mire cverage. In my mind it is worth the extra money as I don’t havve to use asa much. Now that I had my lipstick and foundation I was good so it was out into thhe mall for some fun shopping.

I wandered around looking it really was more just being out. I did go into Victori’s Secret to look around. I have two bras I bought here and they are fabulous, the most comfortable bra’s I own. They are a little pricy though $49.95, now they had signs up for a sale, buy 2 get 1 free. they are called So Obsecced pushup bras. I looked around and couldn’t find them so when the young lady came and asked if I neede help I told her what I was looking for and she told me they were not getting them any more. I can’t tell you how many times I have found things I like only to have them discontinued.

I left the mall and drove to Wendy’s for a late lunch. After that I went to Starbucks, I went to the one by my house. I haven’t been to this one for a while as they close eary but it is during the day and as I have to be home by 3 it works out. Now I wrote my blog for Wednesday night dinner and then just surfed the internet. I did go onlie to Victoria’s Secret and they stll have some of the bras I like in selected colors so I ordered 3, 2 plus my free one. Now I don’t do a lot of online shopping but when I do it is fun, I used my Susan credit card, and I am having it shiooed to Susan at my address. I stayed here till 3 before going home as I have some things I have to do tonight and I can’t do them as Susan. I did get a selfie today too. The lipstick I am wearing in this picture is Maybelline super stay lip ink in Fighter which is a a brown color with a touch of copper, a good daytime color.

Friday and a full day of Susan

Ok I have all day Friday free so it will be a Susan day although I will get a late start. Last month on my vacation when I went shopping with Peggy for the day we had stopped at Nordstrom’s
MAC counter and found out they were doing a beauty event this week. Well any way yesterday I called and set up an appointment to get my makeup done, they are kind of mini makeovers about 30 minutes and as I waited so long the only time I could get was noon. So that would be my first stop as they just wanted me to do my foundation and nothing else so I was not about to go out looking like that.

I got ready and I did my eyebrows also so by 11 I was already, trust me looking in the mirror and just having foundation on and nothing else was not that flattering. It may work for woman but not for me. I got to Nordstrom’s at Clackamas at about 11:45 and walked in very conscious of how I looked. I went straight to the MAC counter and checked in and they were ready for me. Now they had chairs set up and I got to sit right in front of the counter almost in the door way coming in from the mall facing the mall, about as center stage as you can get. The young lady who helped me was named Moani and was very nice. She asked me what I wanted and I really had no idea so I just told her a nice look for going out tonight and she took it from there. Now it is an interesting experience as I had another woman sitting to my right and a young girl to my left, she was 11 and her mom brought her in for the makeover. Moani started on my eyes and did a really nice job kind of a subtle Smokey eye look that really could be for day or evening. She then did some contouring on my face and some highlighter and then my lips. Moani was very pleasant and talked to me the whole time. It really was fun. She finished about 12:30 so a little over the 30 but it was great. I did buy the highlighter set. As I liked the way it looked on me and I felt I should buy something for the experience. Moani was awesome as were all the girls working here, I would highly recommend them if you need some MAC cosmetics or just some help or advice.

Moani told me to come back any time and also asked for my phone number and said she would put me in her contacts and let me know when they do these events again. I looked really good and I thanked her. Now as I was at the mall I walked out into the mall and looked around for a while. I went into several stores including Victoria’s Secret but didn’t buy anything. It really was just window shopping today as the reason I went here was to get the makeover. I left the mall a little after 2 and wanted to get closer to home and beet the traffic. On the way back, I did stop and get my car washed as it really needed it and also went and got lunch at the Wendy’s I have been going to and yes once again it was all females working today.

After that I went to the Starbuck’s by my house, I got there a little after 3 and they were busy. The only open table was in the corner by the door with the high seats which I don’t like as I like to be able to put my feet on the ground. Being the only table, I took it and figured I would move once one of the other tables open up which it did about 15 minutes later so I picked up my stuff and moved.

Now on a side note as you all know one of my neighbors found out about Susan several years ago in October of 2012, wow doesn’t seem like 5 ½ years ago, and she has been fine with it and has never brought it up and all the times I have left or come back home she has seen me many times in my car but she has never brought it up and always treated me the same but I have sometimes wished she would bring it up and ask me any questions she has. Or maybe we would get home one time at the same time and she would see me in person other than just in the car or that brief few seconds I was on TV but that is all it has been. At least till know.

As I was moving my stuff to the other table there she was, she was in Starbucks getting a drink. I heard her say high Neighbor so we talked for a few minutes as she waited for her drinks. This is the first time she has seen me this close in person. Turns out she had just got her nails done at the salon next door to Starbuck’s, I use the one across the street. Any way we talked a little while longer before she headed home. As she was leaving she told me I looked really good which made me feel good. You know the funny thing is it felt perfectly normal to be talking to her and I really wasn’t even thinking about how I was dressed. We were just two neighbors talking. After she left I wondered if I should have told her not to tell anyone about this side of me as she does know my parents who as far as I know do not know about this side of me but she has known my parents for several years now and I am guessing if she was going to tell them she would have by now.

Now I was back to my normal time at Starbuck’s and I got out my computer and caught up on some e-mails. I worked on my blog for a while also. I really do like writing my blog as Susan while I am out. I will probably spend a few hours here at Starbuck’s and then will figure out what I will do for the rest of the evening. If I do something more today I will add to my blog for tomorrow as I plan on going out Saturday night also.

Tuesday out, going to meet up with Peggy for some shopping

Okay Tuesday morning I got up a little later after all this is my vacation. Peggy and I are going to meet at Clackamas Town Center at 2 so I do have some time before we meet. I got all ready and was on my way, I got to Clackamas about 10:30 and decided to go to the Promenade across the street mainly because I wanted to go to the Nordstrom’s Rack and look at purses and shoes and yes, I am using my new purse today to see how it works. So far, I am liking it, there are things I don’t like about it but a lot more things I like and I think it is just a matter of getting use to something new. My first stop was Nordstrom Rack and they had a nice selection of purses but none in the style I am looking for, very few black ones and the ones they did have were either small or huge so I headed back to the shoe section where they actually have a nice selection up to size 12. Now I am a size 10 to 11 depending on the toe width. Now to my surprise there were 4 other women in this size section looking for shoes and yes even 1 man. I had to wonder to myself if he was looking for himself. I looked around for a while and even tried on several pairs. I found 1 ankle boot that fit but it had the long pointy toe which I am not a fan of, I think they make my feet look bigger.

I also walked down to Kohls and looked around for a bit and also stopped in beauty first to look around but this is more of a beauty salon so I didn’t stay long. I then walked down to Target and looked around for a while. It is funny as I have come here before and shopped all these stores but I would always park as close as I could to the door, go in and then drive through the parking lot to the next one. Now I just walk between them and leave my car parked. It was now after 12 and I am meeting Peggy at 2 at Nordstrom’s in the mall so I figured I would drive over to the mall as there is a Starbucks there and get a drink and a snack as I haven’t eaten yet today. By the way wearing a corset helps you cut down on what you eat, yesterday I had my lunch at the mall and never thought about eating as I wasn’t hungry, at least till I took off the corset last night. I may actually loose a little weight this week. I am also not wearing the corset today 12 hours yesterday was enough so taking a break.

Now the Starbucks is right inside the main entrance and of course parking I bad there so I had to park way out and walk in. as I got close I saw the Sprint store which is where I have my cell phone through. I have had my current phone and plan now for almost 3 years (in May) so I am interested in what they have to offer and of course a new phone. I decided to go in and talk to them as Susan of course I kept it general and didn’t tell them I was a current customer. Now there were two girls working and one had on this beautiful red lipstick of which I just had to compliment her on as you don’t see a lot of woman wear red lipstick. Anyway, the other girl helped me and she was very nice and gave me all the information I wanted. I am planning upgrading my plan and getting a new phone as it appears I might even save just a little money each month or at least be cost neutral. The question is do I do it today as Susan or come back later as my male self. Well I have all day to think about it plus I will be here again on Friday with Mikaela.

Now the Starbucks was right next to the sprint store so I went in and got a snack and killed some time till it was time to go meat Peggy. I met Peggy just before 2 and it was great to see her, always more fun to be out with someone else as you have someone to talk with. Now for the first 30 minutes we just kind of wandered the mall talking and catching up, Peggy told me about her vacation she just got back from. It was very enjoyable.

Once we had caught up we went to Nordstrom’s as Peggy was looking for a lipstick and I needed more foundation, I really like the MAC Studio fix. I can use regular foundations if it is for a few hours but if I am going to be out any length of time the MAC just holds up better. The lady that helped us was awesome, her name was Sandra. She helped Peggy find just the right lipstick for her and also a blush and then of course got my foundation which I already knew what I wanted. She then told us they were doing a makeup event March 4 to 10^th and asked if we wanted to come in for a makeover. This really sounds fun and I am thinking about it I just couldn’t commit this far out. She gave each of us her card with the dates on it and told us she would be there on the 9^th & 10^th if we wanted to schedule with her or any of the girls could do our makeup.

We checked out a few more stores before going for a mid afternoon lunch, we went to the Cheesecake Factory. Now we were good and both ordered salads. We had a wonderful lunch and again sat there talking, our waiter by the way was awesome and checked back on us regular to see how we were doing. After we finished we sat and talked some more, it was a wonderful time. It was about 4:30 when we left and went back into the mall, we decided to check out a few more stores because if we left now we would both be caught in rush hour traffic so why not shop a little more and let traffic die down.

Peggy found a really cute pinkish dress and some really cute sparkly tennis shoes, I was just having fun looking around. The funny thing is she was also looking for things for Cassandra. We spent about another hour in the mall before heading for our cars. It was about 5:30 and we would still have traffic but hopefully not as bad. We actually parked only a few cars apart. Hopefully I will see Peggy again in a few weeks when we go to Harvey’s Comedy Club, Julie Scoggins is coming and she is one of our favorite comedians. Now believe it or not on my way home I hit no traffic so I was home by 6 well not quite as I stopped at the Starbucks by my house for a little while. It really is funny as I never thing or go to Starbucks if I am not Susan. I think I have only gone here maybe 4 times as my male self and 3 of those were time I was on vacation and had my nails painted, Starbucks is defiantly a Susan outing.

Now there were about 10 people here at the table next to me was 3 ladies and 2 men and I noticed one of the girls kept glancing over at me. N ow the interesting thing is as she would glance at me there seemed to be something familiar about her. Now I am pretty sure I don’t know her and it was just the fact she was looking at me that made me feel this was. I stayed here till about 7:30 but I was a little hungry and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat.

Now they opened a Domino’s pizza a few blocks away and I have gone there 3 times over the last 3 to 4 weeks and I liked the idea of going in there as Susan just to see. Now they do ask for a phone number when you order so that was my only concern. Now I have herd you can get a phone number from Google for free to link with your own number. Well a quick search and I found google voice. Just to see what would happen I selected a phone number and wow, it was attached to my account and linked to my cell phone. I can send and receive text messages make calls and if I want have them forwarded to my cell phone.

I got to Domino’s and went in, now there are about 7 people working here and 2 of them one female and one male have been there each time I have been there. I ordered my pizza and gave them my new google phone number. About 10 minutes later out came my Pizza and the girl said here you are Susan have a good night and I was on my way home. Shopping trip with Laura Michaels

Well today I am going shopping with Laura Michaels. I have gone shopping many times as Susan but almost always alone so I am really looking forward to today. I got up and got all ready took extra care with my makeup, eyes didn’t turn out as I had hoped was going for a little less, guess I still need work on my daytime look. I also decided to wear my new wig. I am still not sure of it but maybe just because it is a new style. Laura and I were meeting at Barns & Noble at 11 and as I was ready early I figured I would just get there early and go to the Starbucks and do my blog for last night.

I got there just before 10 and went in and got my drink and then sat down to do my blog. the lady at the next table told me how cute my shoes were. I had worn my pink and white tennis shoes today. Well I did my blog and soon it was almost 11 so  took my computer out t my car and then went in to meet Laura.

Laura was already there so we headed out into the mall. Shopping with someone else is way more fun several times we just stopped walking to talk a little. As we walked down the mall this man at a kiosk selling face creams called us over, he remembers me every time I am at the mall. Well he tried to sell Laura some of his creams and I was kind of funny as he did the same thing to me a couple years ago and talk about a hard sell. He started off at $400 and then started throwing in all these free gifts if she would buy it. by the end he was down to $189. The tip is never take their first offer. any way Laura finally convinced him she would think about while we shopped. I felt bad about it but was just glad it was her and not me.

We continued down the mall talking as we walked. now coming here today I really wanted to go into Victoria’s Secret and see if Erika the young lady who helped me yesterday was there. Well I wasn’t paying attention as we walked as I was really enjoying talking with Laura and soon we found ourselves in front of Victoria’s Secret and Laura wanted to go in. Erika was there and asked if we needed any help. I asked if she remembered me which she said she did and asked if I liked my bra. I told her I did, I really do by the way. It is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. I have had it on now for 8 hours now and still feels like I am not wearing it, the material is so soft and the straps don’t dig in. I know it was expensive but I am seriously thinking about buying a couple more in different colors. I guess sometime it is worth the extra money.

Well Laura asked her a couple questions about bra’s and Erika offered to fit her also and soon Laura was off getting fitted and I was left to wonder around the store. Now as I was waiting I had a chance to just look around at all the styles and colors. This really is a wonderful store and it would be easy to spend a lot of money here. This kind of store is one reason I am glad I was not born a girl as I would have spent a lot of money here. I am not sure how long it took Laura I am guessing about 30 minutes. It did seem longer today than yesterday but then yesterday it was me having all the fun. Well It was worth it as Laura also made a purchase here today. So today it was Laura walking around with her Victoria’s Secret bag.

We continued down the mall talking the whole way. It is funny, being here with someone else you really don’t notice other people, or even how you are dressed you are just two friends out shopping. We got down by Nordstrom’s and stood there talking for a couple minutes before walking in.

Laura wanted to check out the cosmetic section well okay we both did but she also wanted to get color matched for foundation. we went to the MAC counter. I had told her about the Studio Fix foundation I wear as it has really good coverage which I need. One of the ladies was right out to see if we needed any help. This is so nice as we were treated like any other woman there both here and at Victoria’s Secret. I wish I could remember the young ladies name that helped us but she was wonderful. She tried maybe 9 different shades till she found the right one. I am sure Laura was enjoying it and actually so was I.

Once she found the right shade she asked if there was anything else she needed or any questions. Laura asked about eye makeup and before we knew it she was doing her eyes then blush, she actually by the time she was done had given Laura a complete makeover and redid all her makeup. now while this was going on the lady who had helped me on Monday saw me and came over and talked to me. as a matter of fact she came over several times to talk to me and see how we were doing. The ladies who work here at the MAC counter at Nordstrom’s are awesome. She did all this work and it was never a hard sale or even a push for her to buy anything.

when she was all done she asked if Laura was interested in any of the products she had used. She explained what each one was for and how to use it I even learned a few things just watching. Of course Laura did buy some of the makeup but the amount is between her and her MAC makeup artist. Now even I bought something also a primer to try as she said it would help the makeup look smoother. So we both left Nordstrom’s with a MAC bag. it was now about 2 pm we had been in Nordstrom’s for well over an hour, wow how time flies when you are having fun.

We went to the second floor and worked our way back till we got to the food court and decided to get something to eat. WE had a nice lunch and just sat there and talked. it was really nice to get to know her better. It is fun to go out with the group but these little one on one outings are awesome as they really let you get to know the other person. so much of our lives we keep secret but you really do find out who they are even without knowing everything. This really doesn’t make since unless you have gone through it. I may not know the details of who they are but I learn who the person is what makes them who they are if that makes sense. It was funny as we were talking about so many things but a lady at the next table heard part of our conversation and said she didn’t mean to be eavesdropping but she had heard part of what we said and agreed and for the next 5 minutes or so we had a nice conversation with her.

It was now after 3 when we finished and we decided we should leave as we were both going to get caught in traffic. We walked back to Barns & Noble talking. We were almost there when I notice a girl taking a picture of her friend and I thought wow I need a picture so I had Laura take a couple pictures of me. and of course I took a couple of her and sent them to her. Of course you can see my MAC bag in my hand. It really was a fun day and I so enjoyed having Laura to shop with. We said our goodbyes and were on our way.

Traffic wasn’t as bad as I thought and I was home by 4 well almost. I decided to stop once again at the Starbuck’s by my house for a warm drink and to write this blog. It has been such a fun day and I just don’t want to see it come to and end. it is hard to believe it is Thursday already and my vacation is almost over. I am not sure what I will do tomorrow but I will defiantly be out tomorrow night.
