Saturday at the Escape, getting there early

It is Saturday and I am going out for the evening to the Escape, not sure who else will be there but that is okay. My plan was to get there early and do some studying before others showed up. The next couple weeks my Susan time will be limited mostly sur of the moment outings which can also be fun. It is nice though to know when you will be going out though as it gives you time to plan and think about it and plan.

Well I started getting ready about 3:30 with the plan of being ready by 5. I was right on schedule. Now if you have been following my blogs you know I bought a corset several weeks ago from Orchard Corset and I have been wearing most times I go out as I have found it really does nice me a nice shape. Well I tried putting it on a little lower as my shape is not quiet the same as the typical female and this actually works better as it gives me better hips. Also wearing it so much has made it fit better and easier to lace up as it has somewhat formed to my body. It is the last thing I put on before my dress and hair. So tonight, I got it all on and had a nice shape. Now it was time for my dress. I had several on the bed and tried a couple but my blue and black one which was the second one I tried was the one I was going for tonight. Well I put the other 4 back in the closet and had the one I was going to wear but I decided to see if I could tighten the corset a little more as I have had it on for about 10 minutes now and yes to my amazement I could. So, I guess the trick is put the corset on and move around a little and then tighten again. Looking in the mirror I would say my waist was 4 or 5 inches smaller than my hips, I had an hourglass shape that looked great. The dress was on and the hair and I looked great. Corsets really do give you a nice shape.

It was just after 5 and I got my stuff and went down to the garage to get in the car, I have a smaller car. Wow getting in was hard and I couldn’t breathe. By the time I was in the car I had to sit a moment and catch my breath. Sitting in a low car seat with a corset, especially if it is tight is not real comfortable and a little hard to breathe. It is only a short drive but I was gals when I got to the Escape, it was just as hard getting out of the car. I went in and was glad I would be sitting on a hard chair that doesn’t sink down. I put my stuff on a table and noticed Lee over at the bar. She is one of our newer members, only her 3^rd time out. I went over and said hi to her and she came over and joined me at the table.

She was here with her Sister, yes, she has come out to her sister and she is supportive of her which is great. Now it is funny as each time she has come out she has come out with someone different, tonight being her sister, they were actually meeting 2 other women tonight and then going someplace else. Wow she has come a long way fast I still have not come out to anyone from my male side although at least 1 of my neighbors know and I am guess more do. The five of us sat and talked for about an hour till it was time for them to leave at 6:30 as they had 7 pm reservations. I told them how great it was they were supportive of Lee especially her Sister. They were all really nice. On the way out, Lee’s Sister thanked me for looking after Lee which was nice and of course made me feel good.

Now I was by my self at least as far as our group but there were some people around me at tables. I got my book out and started reading. I discovered long ago I am not a reader, some people love to read books I have always believed if a book was good enough to read it would be a movie. Anyway, reading a boring text book is not easy. This I going to be a long couple of weeks and I am not sure I will get through the whole book. I read about an hour till Kate showed up. I was glad when she got there as it gave me a reason to put my book away which probably is not the right attitude.

Kate and I talked for a while mostly about why we like to dress and we still really can’t explain it. Kates girlfriend knows she dresses but Kate just told her that she goes out as Kate and she is taking it well, but that is how we got on the topic of why we dress. I really don’t have a defining reason why, I guess it is like asking someone why they like ice cream or chocolate. The reason is they like the taste, it not like you can give a long list of reasons you just like it. I just like dressing up and being Susan. I can spend an hour getting ready to go sit at Starbucks for a few hours and do work, my blog, e-mails or just goof off on the computer. Something I could do just as easy at home or even as my male self at Starbucks so it really doesn’t make sense. When I am at Starbucks I do kind of people watch but not as much as I use to and I am not really thinking about how I am dressed or how I look, hopefully cute. There really is no reason I can come up with other then I am just being me, just being who I am. I think so many of us want to be able to point to one thing, one point in time, one event that happened to us and say this is why but I have never found that. This is just who I am and I have accepted that and I think that makes all the difference. If you can accept yourself for who you are that is all that matters.

Kate and I were beginning to think we would be the only ones tonight but then Laura M and her girlfriend showed up and shortly after Teri Lee showed up. She is one of our newer members and came down from the Seattle area. I have exchanged messages with her so it was wonderful to meet her in person. She was meeting another girl she became friends with through our group named Andi who also came out tonight. I met Andi at Diva Las Vegas last year and she joined our group. It was good to see her again and get to know more about her. She actually met Teri Lee a couple weeks ago for Teri Lee’s first time out, tonight is her second and she was doing really well. Our group the Rose City T-girls is really a wonderful social group, but what makes it so special is the help it gives to helping new t-girls come out in the world. It really is a wonderful feeling, like earlier tonight when Lee’s sister thanked me for helping Lee it made me feel good but I have to admit I really love the feeling of helping someone new come out and become themselves. I remember my first time out and the next few times and the girls who helped me. Lori the girl who tapped on my car window and asked if I was going in just as I was about to leave for the 4^th time without getting out of my car. Alice who I met after going out just a couple times and mad me feel so welcome and helped me get over my sheer terror. Cassandra who formed this group that I have been part of now for years. They all has such big impacts on my life and if I can do that for just one girl then I am the lucky one.

Another girl also showed up so we had 6 of us here tonight and we all had a great time talking and yes it was a busy night as there was standing room only. It is always fun when there are so many people here but it also makes it loud and hard to talk especially when Karaoke started but it was a fun night. Even talked with a few of the regulars here not from our group which is always fun. It was a really good night out, of course I stayed out later then I planned.

It was about 11:30 when I called it a night. I had been here about 6 hours but didn’t seem like it. I paid my bill and said my goodbyes. I went and got in my car and wow as hard ass it was earlier getting into my car it was worse now. Don’t get me wrong, I love my new corset and I am thinking of getting another but the drive home was hard, sitting in the low seat sunken in I was really uncomfortable. All I could think about was getting home and taking off the corset. May have been a little on the tight side but hopefully I will get use to it as I love the look it gives me, bit only short drives when it is tight.

Some study time as Susan

Okay I taking a few classes for work kind of and as such I have a lot of reading to do, a book in two weeks and reading is not a favorite thing for me to do so I really need to focus and of course that is where Starbucks comes in. I went to Starbucks last Sunday evening for about 3 hours to read and the reason I am writing it now is I didn’t take my computer as I knew that would distract me. Any way the class goes 3 weeks a couple nights a week and a couple Saturdays. It was a little strange to go there without my computer as that is something I have never done before but it was fine and I did get almost all the reading done for my first class.

Well now it is Friday night and I need to do some more studding as from the classes this week we will probably only cover half the book in class and yet the test will be on all of it. So that means Starbucks again tonight. I am taking my computer though as I will need to make some notes I will need to take and of course I need to write up some stuff for class. I was ready a little before 5 and was on my way. I went to the Starbucks just down the street from my house which is open till 8 so I figured I would start with that and see how far I get. They were about average for how busy they were so I had no problem finding a table and working.

Well I actually only stayed here till about 6:30 as I saw I was going to need way more time and I knew the Starbucks on Mill Plain is open till midnight so I left and headed up there. I got there about 7 and they were a little busier but also a bigger Starbucks. I was able to get a table away from the window to do my work which included a workbook as I went through the chapters. It was not really how I wanted to spend a Friday night but at least I got to do it as Susan and yes, I got way more down than I would have at home. I got through 6 chapters before I was having trouble focusing, after all I have been working on this since 5 and it was just before 11 when I decided that was enough for tonight. I will try and finish it tomorrow.

Now it was time to het out my computer and just have some fun on the internet. Of course, it would only be a short while as they close at midnight but I won’t make it that late as I have a busy day tomorrow. I have some things I have to do in the morning, class from 11 to 3 and then Susan time tomorrow night. Now the whole time I was here doing my class work I really didn’t think about how I was dressed I was just doing my work a great feeling. Well I picked the right time to stop as they now close at 11. I was only able to spend a little time on my computer before they started closing up. I got home about 11:15 but it was a fun night.

Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy club to see Julie Scoggins

It is Saturday night and our group is going to Harvey’s Comedy Club to see Julie Scoggins. Now I am not sure but I know we have gone and seen her at least 5 times before maybe 6, she is wonderfully funny. We have been going to Harvey’s now almost every month for maybe 7 or 8 years now it is one of our groups favorite night out. Now normally we go to Fox & Hounds first around 7 before going over to Harvey’s but sadly Fox & Hounds has closed so tonight we are meeting at Harvey’s at 8.

I started getting ready about 5 a little later then in the past but then I didn’t have to leave as early. I was ready and on my way by 7. I got downtown and parked about a block away and walked to Harvey’s, of course I had to get a selfie in the car, a little dark but the one with the flash was bad. Yes, I do have bad pictures, I have had people tell me I always have such good pictures. Here is my secret, only post the good ones, shhhh don’t tell. as I got by their parking lot Cassandra was dropping off Peggy as Peggy made cupcakes for tonight as it is Julies Birthday today, happy birthday Julie. She had two trays so I took one and told Cassandra there was still 2 parking spots behind where I parked so she said she would drive around the block and see if they were still there. Peggy and I walked about 100 feet towards the door and you would not believe it, there were 2 parking spots right in front of the door and Cassandra parked there

We went in and we were the first ones there as it was only about 7:40 we put 3 tables together as we had a big group tonight, 22 all here to see Julie Scoggins. Now it wasn’t long and others started to show up. The funny thing is Julie Scoggins came out as she was not on yet for the earlier show and talked with us for a while and yes hugs for everyone, she is so awesome. Now Julie and Trixie showed up but we waited for others before we had cupcakes. Of course, when we did we all sang Happy Birthday to her and even a few people from tables around us joined in and sang to her. Okay let’s see how goo my memory is as I am going to try and list all from our group. There was Cassandra, Peggy, Julie, Trixie, Jan, Lynn, Laura H, Max, Sophie, Lorna, Kimberly, Melissa, Kate, Barb, Michelle, Nancy, Jennie, Amy, Cassie, and of course me. Wow I am missing two guess my memory is not that good.

The earlier show went long so it was almost 9:40 when they started coming out. Julie Scoggins had a table set up right next to us to sell stuff and of course meet people and take pictures. One lady tried a couple times to get a selfie with Julie and was having trouble so I told her my secret. Her it is, set your self timer for 2 seconds. That way you can push the button and then hold the phone out and it has time to focus before taking the picture. Only way I can get a selfie. She thanked me for the tip.

It was finally time to go in, Peggy, Trixie and I were the first from our group to go in and of course they had our tables all set up. Our waitress came over and had on a beautiful red lipstick and I was just getting ready to compliment her on it but she complimented me first, yes, I also had red lipstick on. We talked a few seconds about how much we both like the red lipsticks before she took our orders. Soon our whole group was in and it was packed. Harvey’s sold out both shows tonight which was awesome to see. Always more fun with a big crowd. Of course, there were more pictures taken and one more selfie.

The show started late about 10:30, the MC who gets a few minutes to tell jokes before he introduces the comedian was good. Then there were 2 opening comedians and they were both good. After them was the featured comedian and he was awesome. We were all laughing by this time and having a wonderful time.

Finally, it was time for Julie to come on stage. She was so awesome and even though we have heard some of her stuff it was still funny. She was incredible, if you ever get to see her perform you will have a blast. Also, if you are looking for a fun night out defiantly check out Harvey’s Comedy Club, you will have a blast. As I said we have come here for years and this is at least my 57^th time here and we have never had a bad show, yes some are better like tonight but they are all good.

After the show we talked for a little bit to let the crowd thin out, we also met one of the other owners tonight so we have met 2 of them. I am not sure if it is just the 2 of them or if they have a 3^rd owner but they are very nice and treated us well and told us we were welcome anytime. Makes you feel good. On our way out, we all talked briefly with Julie Scoggins, it was great to see her again. It was 12:30 when the show got over so it will be a late night.

Now Julie and Trixie took an Uber here so I am giving them a ride home which was nice as it gave us a chance to talk a little. They are going out of town for a couple months so I won’t see them till we go to Diva Las Vegas which is sad as it is so much fun to go out with them. Even Cassandra and Peggy are on vacation for the next 2 weeks so I won’t see them either. I dropped them off at Julie’s house and then headed home. It was after 1:30 am when I got home, can’t remember the last time I was out this late but it was worth it.

Friday getting my nails done

It is Friday and I am ready for the weekend and yes first thing is a trip to the nail salon to get my nails done. Now they still look great and I probably could go a little longer but they are rather long now. My last trip to the nails salon two weeks ago I didn’t have them shortened as I was on vacation the next week. The last time I had them shortened was January 17^th and even then they were left a little long for a man, so they have been growing out for a month.

Now at work this week no one said a thing and they had to notice as they were even long for most woman but I kept them without filing them down. I got home just before 4 and the first thing was to call the nails salon and see if I could get in, Anna said she could get me in at 5:30 so I had an hour in a half which was plenty of time as it only takes a couple minutes to get to Dream Nails. I have actually been coming here for almost 3 years although only the last two have been every 2 to 3 weeks and I love them. They do a wonderful job on my nails and always treat me wonderful. All the woman knows me by name even though I only know about half of them by name. What a great feeling to be a regular at the nail salon. I was ready a little after 5and I just figured I would go a little early and wait, I got there about 5:15 and Anna had just finished with a lady so I got right in. there is just something so relaxing and feminine to be at the nail salon, everyone should try it.

Anna asked how my nails were and if I had broken any as we keep the acrylic kind of thin and she remembered I didn’t have them shortened last time. They really did hold up well just one little chip on the corner of one that happened earlier today and it really wasn’t noticeable. She removed the old gel polish and got them ready for a fill. Now there were 3 other women in here 2 getting pedicures and 1 getting her nails done. Once she had the acrylic on she shortened my nails to a good length, even for a man the would be okay except for the perfect shape and of course the slight pink color but by 2 weeks the length will be noticeable. Now it was time for the gel polish and of course I stayed with the same color, Wedding dress. Anna put 2 coats on and finished it off with a clear coat. As she put the clear coat on I wondered how they would look if I had a 3^rd coat of the wedding dress color put on, I am guessing just a little pinker. It was just before 6 when I was all finished with my pretty hands.

Now what to do, I had time so I decided to go to Sweet Home as it has been a while since I have made it there. I got there just before 6:30 and had to park way up the street, I think this is the farthest I have parked from here. I figured they were busy, I walked down and went in and there were only about 10 people here so I don’t know where all the cars on the street came from. Chris was there so I joined him. It was good to see him again. Now it is always a good feeling to go someplace you are welcomed and remembered. All the staff remembered me by name and even some of the customers which was nice, several of the customers told me it was good to see me again and it has been to long which it has as I haven’t been here since November and only 2 or 3 times since last March. But it was wonderful to be back here.

I ordered dinner and of course had my computer out. I talked with Chris some and a few of the other customer, this really is a neighborhood bar where everyone is welcome. I had a wonderful dinner and a wonderful time. Chris left a little before 8 as he comes here right from work to play pool but I stayed for a while as I had my computer. It was about 9 when I paid my bill and called it a night. I was going to stay a little longer but I needed to stope and get gas and I have been going to Costco and they close the gas station at 9:30. I have found if you go just before closing they are not busy and you don’t have to wait in line. I joined Costco a couple months ago but it was a couple weeks ago I went there as Susan and went in and asked about getting a card for me as Susan and to my surprise they did without much question so I have a Susan Costco Card with Susan name and picture on it. It was as short night out but very fun. My next outing will be Saturday night when we go to Harvey’s Comedy Club. Julie Scoggins is there this weekend and she is wonderful, our group has gone and seen her every year she has come for the last 5 for 6 years, she is very funny and if you get a chance to see her you should. She has actually gone out with our group a few times after the shows although the place we use to go is now closed so that may not happen tonight.

Sunday afternoon and the end of my vacation.

It is Sunday afternoon and my vacation officially ends and I am back at work tomorrow. Now the big questions are my nails, they look great and I have been wearing this same color polish wedding dress for several months now so that is not my concern it is the length. When I got them done for my vacation on February 2^nd I didn’t have the shorten them so it has in fact been almost 4 weeks since they were shortened and even then they were a little long for a man as I got them done on January 17. If I don’t file them down myself and wait till my next nails salon visit which will be this coming Friday they will be pretty long and that will draw attention. Right now, that is my plan though.

Any way I really didn’t have plans for today as I had things I had to do but I got done early except for some work I had to do on the computer. Well you guessed it Starbucks as Susan won out. Now I find if I stay at home to do work I get side tracked to easy as there are too many distractions (TV). I have found I can actually take an hour to get ready and drive to Starbucks and still get more done then if I sit at home. Now I have been asked many times what I do for work that I can go to Starbucks as Susan and work, well without going into details to much it does not have to do with my regular job but other things I am involved with.

It was earlier than normal when I started getting ready so I was on my way by 2:30 so I had 4 hours I could be at the Starbucks by where I live as they are open till 6:30 on Sunday evenings. I got there and parked and went in, they were actually busy for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered my drink and then put my computer down on the big long table as all the other tables were taken and there were 2 other people at this table. I would eventually have to move to another table as my computer battery is at half as I forgot to plug it in last night so I am good for about 2 hours maybe.

I started my work and as I said it is way easier to focus on it here. I had been here about a half hour when one of the tables next to the window opened up so I moved over and plugged my computer in. I kept working and till about 4 when I took a break and wrote my blog from last nights outing at the Escape. Okay yes there are also distractions here at Starbucks too but I did work for 1 ½ hours straight. I finished my blog a little after 5 and it was right back to work as I still have some to do. I was all finished by 5:30 and n ow I am just going to play around on my computer for a little while till they close and then grab something to eat before going home.

People ask me why I go to Starbucks so much and I really have no answer for them. When I am here I am not really focused on anyone else, I do notice people but just as I would anyplace I go no matter how I am dressed. I am not really even thinking about how I am dressed or that I am out as Susan. I am just out being myself. There is something about being able to go out as Susan and just be another person out. Now I will say I have gone to many different Starbucks and never had a problem and always been treated wonderful so it is kind of a safe place to go as most people here are to busy with what they are doing or they are in and out that they don’t even notice you or if they do I didn’t notice them although I am sure I have gotten some looks I just didn’t notice. As a matter of fact, today 3 women as they went by said hi to me which is nice.

I stayed here till about 6:30 before going to Costco for gas and then a quick trip to Wendy’s for dinner. Now I did go in and eat there. The funny thing was it was an all-female crew working. It was a relaxing afternoon and evening and I got a lot done. Here are a couple pictures of my nails as they are now. They are a little long but cute.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Saturday and going to the Escape tonight.

It has been a fun vacation, got some things done around home and lots of Susan time. I got up this morning and had things I had to do. The first thing I noticed were my nails, don’t get me wrong they still look great, slight pink color and kind of long but the red was gone. That was so hard to remove the red as I so wish I could have red or some other bright color all the time. Now the funny thing is for the week I had them I really didn’t think about them I just had pretty red nails but now that the color is gone I really notice it and miss it. Well now the next time will be Diva Las Vegas which is April 15^th to 20^th this year. I am looking forward to it. Well I got everything done and started getting ready a little after 3 as I wanted to get out early.

Now today getting ready was a challenge. I wanted to try my lipstick which really is a bright pink, I have only worn it once, here is a picture from that night as I thought it looked good. It goes well with this hair color. Any way I got my makeup all done and was looking pretty good and it was time to get dressed. Now I was going to wear a red dress again as it sets off the lipstick but I saw my new coat I bought and really wanted to wear it and as it is kind of a maroon / wine color I got out a dark maroon dress and put it on, didn’t really go well with the lipstick but this is not a lipstick you can easily change I decided to go with it. I went to get my hair and realized I had washed them earlier and they were not dry. Which left me 2 choices my dark brown or black hair. I went with the dark brown and looked in the mirror, was not thrilled with the look and I seriously thought about starting all over but I had texted Cassandra and said I would be there around 5:30 and it was already 5. It would take at least an hour to remove and redo all my makeup so I went as I was.

I got to Escape right at 5:30 and was going to get a selfie in the car before going in, wow in the natural day light the lipstick looked really harsh with the hair color and dress. I went in and luckily inside where the light is dimmer it didn’t looks as bad. I did take a couple selfies but wow not going to post them. It is funny as I always have people comment and tell me how I never take a bad picture. I will let you in on a little secret, I only post the good ones and tonight there were none. Pink lipstick is a little harder to pull off I think.

I ordered dinner and got my computer out and Cassandra showed up about 10 minutes later so we had a chance to talk. We are looking forward to Diva Las Vegas and still planning on leaving early Friday April 13 but instead of driving straight to Las Vegas we are thinking of going to Palm Springs. Peggy will go with us to Palm Springs and she will spend the week with Trixie and we will pick Julie up and go to Las Vegas on Saturday, same going home we will leave on Saturday go back to Palm Springs and drop Julie off and pick up Peggy and come home. This will save us a Friday and Saturday night ibn Las Vegas which are the most expensive nights plus it would be a blast to have Peggy along going down and back and Julie going to and from. Just need to see if Peggy can get the time off work.

Kearren also showed up early and it was good to see her. We actually had a big group tonight, Jan, Lynn, Jacky, Kate, Lorie, Narciss, Kimberly, Laura M. and a couple of her friends, even Lee showed up with one of her friends. It was great to see Lee out again as this is only her second time in public. It is funny as she came out with a different female friend so at least two of her friends knows about Lee. Something I have not done as I have not told any of my male side friends about Susan. I feel like I am missing someone and if I am I apologize, we had girls at our big table, the bar, and 2 small tables and with some playing pool, and singing Karaoke it really was hard to keep track of everyone.

It was a good night and I did make sure I at least said hi and talked briefly with everyone but with big groups it is hard. Now we have talked many times ab out going to barfs like the Escape and the pro’s and Con’s. It is a really friendly place just like Sweet Home and we are accepted there and all the girls feel comfortable. The bad part is it can get loud especially when the Karaoke starts and it is hard to talk. Some of the girls have a hard time hearing over the music me included. Guess I am not as young as I use to be. I think this is why we like the Wednesday night dinners so much but to go sit in a restaurant for 5 to 7 hours would be hard as they would want the table for the next groups. I guess there is no perfect answer but we need to take all our members need when we pick what we are going to do as we really do have a diverse group.

I got to talk with Jackie for a while as she is here from up North. I think I have met her once several years ago, it was nice to get to know her better. I really do enjoy talking with people and getting to know them, not something I do in my male side as I tend to keep more to myself when I am not Susan. As Susan I am way more outgoing, not like Cassandra but I am working on it. We all talked about Diva Las Vegas as I think we have 10 or 12 going from our group and also the Mexican Cruise which we have 29 signed up for now, of course I am sure some will back out between now and then as it really is hard to schedule something so far out. I made my reservations last August for this coming October, over 14 months ahead of time. By the way there is still time to sign up and go if you want just go to our group the rose city t-girls and we have a page for it. If you are even thinking about a cruise be sure and check it out.

I stayed out later then I planned as it was almost 11:30 when I called it a night but it was a lot of fun and I really do enjoy going out with my friends. Friday shopping with friends

It is Friday and I am going to Clackamas Tow Center again to go shopping with Melissa & Mikaela, we are meeting at 11am. I started getting ready about 8:30 and of course I was still deciding what to wear as I was doing my makeup. It has been a fun week but as all things it must come to an end as I have something I have to do tonight which means the red nail polish will have to come off. I will have to be home by 5 so I can remove the nail polish and change back from being Susan but as I said it has been a great week and today will be just as fun. I was ready to leave a little after 10 and on my way. I got to Clackamas Town Center about 10 minutes early so I texted them I was there and both were just parking.

Melissa was the first to show up so we talked for a couple minutes till Mikaela got there. Mikaela brought her daughter who is almost 2 and so cute, what could be more fun than 3 women walking the mall this way. We started off with lunch in the food court which was nice although I ate to much, no dinner tonight. We sat and talked and caught up and Mikaela and Melissa got to know each other as this was the first time they met. Of course, we had to get a group picture of the 3 of us at the mall also. It really is more fun to go shopping with friends. Now it really wasn’t about the shopping it was more about being with my friends. We mostly just wandered around the mall talking and looking and having fun. We did go into several stores, even the tow stores as we had Mikaela’s daughter with use and this was a lot of fun as I got to look at toys for little girls. Mikaela really is a wonderful mom.

We went into several stores and Mikaela bought several things, she likes to shop, she even bought so candy for her wife and also some other things. I saw some cute things but nothing I just had to have so I was being good. One of the stores we went into was called Maurices and I had never been in there before. It is similar to Torrid as it caters to the larger size which I seem to fit into. They had some really cute things and I did find a maroon color leather coat which was really cute, size 2 and what do you know it fit me. Now I am not a big coat fan as even in my male side I only wear them when I will be outside for an extended time. Even in winter I am more likely to have on a sweatshirt than a coat. But I have thought I should have something as all I really have is a couple thin wraps, a sweater and my heavy wrap. I thought a coat would be nice and it was on sale for 75% off so it was only $17 just too good to pass up.

We walked around and talked some more and we got on the subject of Facebook, now this may get me in trouble but what the heck. We got talking about all the negative stuff on Facebook yes talking mostly about political stuff and it is on both sides. I brought up how I was tired off all this negativity and I have actually just overlook some as there was just so much. Now I am not saying you don’t have that right as it is your Facebook page but remember all your friends see it and trust me not all your friends feel the same even if the vast majority do. We all have different views beliefs and that does not make us better, or worse just different. I want to view Facebook to see what’s going on in your life not to be given a political, or religious lesson. I want to know about you not how bad someone else is. I don’t even look at these posts anymore.

It was after 2 and Mikaela had to leave as she lives an hour south and wanted to try and beat traffic. Melissa and I hung out a little more and walked back down the mall and to the outside part where they have a few more stores including a Charming Charlies and a DSW. We went into the DSW and looked at shoes, Melissa is looking for some casual tennis shoes and I am kind of looking for some nice flats I can wear. Found a few pairs but not in our size.

It was almost 3 when we walked back to Barns & Noble and walked out to our cars. It was a fun day with my friends. Thanks Melissa & Mikaela for going shopping with me. I got home and yes, the first thing I did was remove the red nail polish, it was sad to see the red go. I will be out Saturday night with my friends again but no Wednesday night dinner this week as it is Valentine’s Day, so I am wishing you all a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

Thursday and just going out with no real plan

I got up today and had no real plan for what I wanted to do. I started getting ready as all I knew was I was going out. I was ready a little after 11 and decided I was going to upgrade my phone so I was going down to Clackamas Town Center at least for a little bit. Yes, I am going as Susan to upgrade my phone and plan that is in my male name. I got to

Clackamas a little after 12 and had to take a quick selfie in the car. I walked by the store to see if the girl who helped me was there and she was but she was helping someone and there were a couple people waiting so I went into the Starbuck for a little while. I ordered my green tea and talked with a lady as we waited for our drinks. I sat there with my computer for a while, actually I lost track of time and before I knew it, it was 1:30.

I walked over to the Sprint store and went in and the young lady remember me and welcomed me back. Her name is Cassia and she is wonderful. I told her I wanted to get a new plan and told her I was a current Sprint customer. She asked for my phone number and I gave it to her and then she asked me the name which I gave her my male name and then she asked for ID which I gave her and told her I looked a little different today. She smiles and told me I looked great. Now Cassia had my real name and yet she always called me her and she and not once slipped and referred to me in a male way at any time. She was very professional.

Now she got my phone all set up and transferred all my files over and then showed me how some of the functions work as there are some differences. Of course, I had to test the camera with one more selfie. By the way I am wearing my new lipstick, I am liking the way it looks. It was almost 3 by the time everything was transferred and set up. Cassia thanked me for coming in and said if I have any issues or questions to be sure and come back. It was a really good experience. Now the funny side note the other day when I was in here Cassia was working with another young lady who had on a really pretty red lipstick which I complimented her on but Cassia had no lipstick on. Fast forward to today she had in a really pretty coppery lipstick that looked awesome on her, of course I complimented her on how much I liked her lipstick.

I got in my car and got it synced to my car and was just leaving when Cassandra texted me to see if I wanted to meet up for the afternoon so I called her. We decided to meet at McMenamins Ringlers Pub again, we spent a few hours here yesterday before we went to dinner. It took me about a half hour to get there and parked. I went in and got a table and ordered food as I was hungry, their pretzel and cheese fondue which is awesome. I had almost finished it when Cassandra arrived a little after 4.

We both had our computers, Cassandra set up and was in the chat room while I checked just surfed the internet and had fun. We also talked while we were doing this so it was a fun time. It was amazing how fast the time pasted. We stayed there till after 8 but it seemed like only an hour or two. It was a really fun day. Tomorrow I am meeting Mikaela and Melissa at 11am for some shopping which will be a lot of fun.

Okay I just have to ask, what do you think of the lipstick I am wearing? I have never used this shade and want others honest opinion. Thanks for your help and for reading. Have a great day and be sure and keep up with my life as Susan on my most recent blog.

Wednesday out and dinner with my friends.

I had things to take care of today at home so it was almost 11 before I started getting ready. Now I know Cassandra usually goes out a little early on Wednesdays before dinner so I texted her to see when she would be out so we could meet up. She texted me back she hoped to be ready by 2:30 so that would be fun to meet up with her. Now I had to figure out how to do my makeup for the day. You see for going out to dinner with my friends I really wanted red lips but that is a bit much for the day, well you guessed it the red lipstick won. Now I did wear one of my black skirts with a grey top and my black boots with heels as I think this is really a classy work to evening look. It was 12:30 before I was ready to leave. I had about 2 hours give or take a little before Cassandra would be ready and with the red lipstick really didn’t want to go shopping. I decided to go to the Starbucks by my house, I have been to this Starbucks in the morning, late afternoon and evening but I don’t think I have ever been to this one at this time of day.

I left and headed for Starbuck, at the end of the street one of my neighbors a few houses down came around the corner in his car and with cars parked either side of the street there was only room for 1 car to go so I had to wait for him. Now I do know him by name and talk with him occasionally when we are getting our mail at the same time. As he went by he waved to me and I just waved back. I don’t know if he knows about this part of my life or not I am not sure he even really saw me or was just waving at the car but if he did look he saw long hair and red lips on the person driving. Now 1 of my neighbors knows for sure and I can not be sure if she has told anyone and with as often as I go out during the day I know other neighbors have seen at least a woman driving my car so I have to believe some if not all of them know something.

I got to Starbucks about 12:40 and again they were busy, 4 people waiting for their drinks and 3 in front of me to order and most of the tables taken. As I was standing there in line with 3 other woman the young man behind the counter looked at me and said hi Susan be right with you. Anyway, soon it was my turn and I ordered my drink, the young man complimented me on my nails which I so love so I thanked him. Now as I said they were pretty busy for a midafternoon, there were a couple seats at the counter around the corner, half the long table that seats 10 and 1 small table next to the window. I went over and put my computer on the small table and went and stood with the others waiting for our drinks. Now it was probably 75% woman here but it still amazed me bow busy they were in the midafternoon. It was also a good idea to put my computer on the table as several of the people in front of me went and sat either at the big table or the counter

I sat down and caught u on some e-mails and did a little work and just played on the internet for a while. It was just a little after 2:30 when Cassandra texted me and said she was leaving, we were going to meet at the 2^nd Ave Sports bar (use to be Fox & Hounds) and spend a few hours there before dinner as we were eating at Hobo’s right around the corner. I got downtown and found the perfect parking spot right between the two of them but Cassandra texted me that they were closed. We decided to go to McMenamins Ringlers Pub instead, we have gone here for dinner a few times and it really big and very friendly. We got there and parked just a half block away. I paid for street parking but the only problem was it only had 2-hour parking and it was just a little after 3 so we would be here for at least 3+ hours which would mean remembering to come back out and pay again.

We both went inside and got a table and both set up our computers, Cassandra was doing a chatroom which she loves to do, she even turned her cam a couple times so the people could see me. I did some more work and caught up on the news mostly business news as the rest seems to be so negative. We also talked on and off. Seems Cassandra does this a lot on Wednesdays. She will get out sometimes as early as 1 and go someplace and do her chat room for a few hours before meeting the group for dinner. I really don’t understand the draw of a chatroom but then I am sure people think the same about my getting dressed as Susan just to go sit at a Starbucks for a few hours. Cassandra and I talked about it for a while and we have no answers. Some have told me I do it just so I can be watched or seen and I don’t know if that is true or not. I do know when I am out I am really not focused on how I am dressed I am just me and for that matter I am really not paying attention to them and if they are looking at me. I really think for me it is more just being able to do what any other woman does and be accepted for that.

Now we did order drinks and their pretzel appetizer, By the way as I always say drinks I just thought I would ad a note here, we both ordered pop as neither one of us drinks alcohol, actually quite a few of our groups member don’t drink alcohol so it is pretty strange the we go to so many bars. I have often told people if you told one of my male friends who doesn’t know about my dressing that you saw me in a bar dressed as a woman I honestly think they would be more shocked that you saw me in a bar. By the way the pretzel appetizer is incredible, warm salted pretzel sticks with melted cheese to dip them in.

We stayed here till 6:30 and yes, we both remembered to go out and pay for parking again. Then we drove over to Hobo’s. They were not at all busy so we had our pick of tables. We sat down and it wasn’t long and Melissa and Barb showed up. It was just the 4 of us for the evening. We all talked before ordering dinner, I had the chicken Parmesan which is really good. We had a wonderful dinner and great conversation. The night went by so fast, we finished and paid our bills. I was shocked it was almost 10 when we left, it did not seem like we had been here almost 3 hours. It really is fun to be out with my friends.

Tomorrow I have some me time as I will be out by myself and Friday I am meeting Mikaela for some shopping which will be so much fun. It will give us a chance to talk and catch up as she goes out mostly in Salem so I haven’t seen her for probably a year or more.

Tuesday out, going to meet up with Peggy for some shopping

Okay Tuesday morning I got up a little later after all this is my vacation. Peggy and I are going to meet at Clackamas Town Center at 2 so I do have some time before we meet. I got all ready and was on my way, I got to Clackamas about 10:30 and decided to go to the Promenade across the street mainly because I wanted to go to the Nordstrom’s Rack and look at purses and shoes and yes, I am using my new purse today to see how it works. So far, I am liking it, there are things I don’t like about it but a lot more things I like and I think it is just a matter of getting use to something new. My first stop was Nordstrom Rack and they had a nice selection of purses but none in the style I am looking for, very few black ones and the ones they did have were either small or huge so I headed back to the shoe section where they actually have a nice selection up to size 12. Now I am a size 10 to 11 depending on the toe width. Now to my surprise there were 4 other women in this size section looking for shoes and yes even 1 man. I had to wonder to myself if he was looking for himself. I looked around for a while and even tried on several pairs. I found 1 ankle boot that fit but it had the long pointy toe which I am not a fan of, I think they make my feet look bigger.

I also walked down to Kohls and looked around for a bit and also stopped in beauty first to look around but this is more of a beauty salon so I didn’t stay long. I then walked down to Target and looked around for a while. It is funny as I have come here before and shopped all these stores but I would always park as close as I could to the door, go in and then drive through the parking lot to the next one. Now I just walk between them and leave my car parked. It was now after 12 and I am meeting Peggy at 2 at Nordstrom’s in the mall so I figured I would drive over to the mall as there is a Starbucks there and get a drink and a snack as I haven’t eaten yet today. By the way wearing a corset helps you cut down on what you eat, yesterday I had my lunch at the mall and never thought about eating as I wasn’t hungry, at least till I took off the corset last night. I may actually loose a little weight this week. I am also not wearing the corset today 12 hours yesterday was enough so taking a break.

Now the Starbucks is right inside the main entrance and of course parking I bad there so I had to park way out and walk in. as I got close I saw the Sprint store which is where I have my cell phone through. I have had my current phone and plan now for almost 3 years (in May) so I am interested in what they have to offer and of course a new phone. I decided to go in and talk to them as Susan of course I kept it general and didn’t tell them I was a current customer. Now there were two girls working and one had on this beautiful red lipstick of which I just had to compliment her on as you don’t see a lot of woman wear red lipstick. Anyway, the other girl helped me and she was very nice and gave me all the information I wanted. I am planning upgrading my plan and getting a new phone as it appears I might even save just a little money each month or at least be cost neutral. The question is do I do it today as Susan or come back later as my male self. Well I have all day to think about it plus I will be here again on Friday with Mikaela.

Now the Starbucks was right next to the sprint store so I went in and got a snack and killed some time till it was time to go meat Peggy. I met Peggy just before 2 and it was great to see her, always more fun to be out with someone else as you have someone to talk with. Now for the first 30 minutes we just kind of wandered the mall talking and catching up, Peggy told me about her vacation she just got back from. It was very enjoyable.

Once we had caught up we went to Nordstrom’s as Peggy was looking for a lipstick and I needed more foundation, I really like the MAC Studio fix. I can use regular foundations if it is for a few hours but if I am going to be out any length of time the MAC just holds up better. The lady that helped us was awesome, her name was Sandra. She helped Peggy find just the right lipstick for her and also a blush and then of course got my foundation which I already knew what I wanted. She then told us they were doing a makeup event March 4 to 10^th and asked if we wanted to come in for a makeover. This really sounds fun and I am thinking about it I just couldn’t commit this far out. She gave each of us her card with the dates on it and told us she would be there on the 9^th & 10^th if we wanted to schedule with her or any of the girls could do our makeup.

We checked out a few more stores before going for a mid afternoon lunch, we went to the Cheesecake Factory. Now we were good and both ordered salads. We had a wonderful lunch and again sat there talking, our waiter by the way was awesome and checked back on us regular to see how we were doing. After we finished we sat and talked some more, it was a wonderful time. It was about 4:30 when we left and went back into the mall, we decided to check out a few more stores because if we left now we would both be caught in rush hour traffic so why not shop a little more and let traffic die down.

Peggy found a really cute pinkish dress and some really cute sparkly tennis shoes, I was just having fun looking around. The funny thing is she was also looking for things for Cassandra. We spent about another hour in the mall before heading for our cars. It was about 5:30 and we would still have traffic but hopefully not as bad. We actually parked only a few cars apart. Hopefully I will see Peggy again in a few weeks when we go to Harvey’s Comedy Club, Julie Scoggins is coming and she is one of our favorite comedians. Now believe it or not on my way home I hit no traffic so I was home by 6 well not quite as I stopped at the Starbucks by my house for a little while. It really is funny as I never thing or go to Starbucks if I am not Susan. I think I have only gone here maybe 4 times as my male self and 3 of those were time I was on vacation and had my nails painted, Starbucks is defiantly a Susan outing.

Now there were about 10 people here at the table next to me was 3 ladies and 2 men and I noticed one of the girls kept glancing over at me. N ow the interesting thing is as she would glance at me there seemed to be something familiar about her. Now I am pretty sure I don’t know her and it was just the fact she was looking at me that made me feel this was. I stayed here till about 7:30 but I was a little hungry and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat.

Now they opened a Domino’s pizza a few blocks away and I have gone there 3 times over the last 3 to 4 weeks and I liked the idea of going in there as Susan just to see. Now they do ask for a phone number when you order so that was my only concern. Now I have herd you can get a phone number from Google for free to link with your own number. Well a quick search and I found google voice. Just to see what would happen I selected a phone number and wow, it was attached to my account and linked to my cell phone. I can send and receive text messages make calls and if I want have them forwarded to my cell phone.

I got to Domino’s and went in, now there are about 7 people working here and 2 of them one female and one male have been there each time I have been there. I ordered my pizza and gave them my new google phone number. About 10 minutes later out came my Pizza and the girl said here you are Susan have a good night and I was on my way home. It has been a wonderful day. Thanks Peggy for going shopping with me.
