Susanmillers Blog

My life as a heterosexual crossdresser.

Harvey’s Comedy Club in July

Well my Susan time has been limited the last few months so I always am happy when I can get out even for a short time. I did get out briefly two weeks ago on Friday, I needed to get my nails done and I got home early from work so I took advantage of the opportunity. I know people probably think it is a little silly to spend the time getting ready for such a short outing but I enjoyed it, it took me about an hour and I was on my way. I had already called the nail salon as I was driving hoe and got an appointment so I was rushed but I made it on time. I was getting a pedicure and manicure so I was really looking forward to it.

I got there and they were ready for me so it was right into the chair for my pedicure. Another lady did my pedicure and she did an excellent job. Getting a pedicure is so relaxing. I had her put on a bright pink color this time as it is summer. Now it was time for my manicure, well actually a fill as I have kept a thin coat of acrylic on my nails since I went to Diva Las Vegas the end of March. Anna did my nails and always does an excellent job. It took about an hour and 20 minutes and I was all done. Now it was time to go home and change back to my male self as I had to be someplace shortly. It really would have been easier if I went as my male self but I just can’t bring myself to go to the nail salon any other way than as Susan.

Well that brings me to tonight Saturday July 1st, I had to work today and then had family things I had to do after work so I told the girls I would meet them at Harvey’s as I would be late. I got home about 7:15 and it was a mad rush to get ready, the only thing had going for me was I had picked out my dress last night and if I didn’t change my mind I would be fine. I was ready a little after 8 and on my way. I was parking by Harvey’s by 8:30.

I walked in and Julie and Trixie were there, it was so great to see them again. I really have missed seeing my friends more than my time as Susan, they have become such a big part of my life and they mean so much to me. We talked for a little bit before others started to show up, we had a decent size group tonight, I think 18. We took a group picture tonight which was nice, this was not everyone. We had Laura, Max, Julie, Trixie, Melissa, Jan, Lynn, Kate, Karen, Barb, Peggy, Cassandra, Sophie, and several others who showed up later. It was great to see them all again. I got to talk a little with each of them but would have liked to have more time but soon the show would start. Peggy Julie, Trixie and I talked a lot.

Soon it was time for the show to start and we all went inside. I sat between Melissa and Peggy with Julie and Trixie across from me and Cassandra on the other side of Peggy. Kate Laura, Max and another girl filled out our table. The other girl came last month to Harvey’s with us but I don’t think she has joined our group. I think her name is Narcisa and that is a guess at the spelling so forgive me if I am wrong.

Now at the other table were Jan, Lynn, Karen, Sophie, Barb and her friend and a couple others. Cassandra and I were both taking pictures of everyone and a lady from the next table came over and asked if we wanted her to take a group picture of our table which of course we did.

The show started and it was good as always, if MC comedian was good and the featured comedian was also really good but the headliner was awesome. We always have such a fun night here. We have been coming here every month now for at least 5 or 6 years plus we did come here occasionally all the way back to 2009. This is our longest and most consistent outing we do.

It is amazing how fast the night went by, we had a good dinner, a lot of laughs and most important wonderful friends to share it with.

Strangely with all the pictures that were taken I didn’t get one of just myself so I will share one of me and Melissa. The night went by way to fast though. On the way, out we stopped and talked to the comedian’s and told them how much we enjoyed their show, and of course they thanked us for coming. It was an awesome night.

Not sure when I will get out again but I really do need to get a manicure as it has been over two weeks and my nails are a little long for my male life. I will have to try and find a couple hours to fit that in as I said before, I need time to become Susan to go to the nail salon.

Last, I want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Fourth of July, as we celebrate our nations birthday let’s all put aside our differences, personal, political and whatever else and come together as Americans. I found this video online about our national anthem and thought it was wonderful, it is about 12 minutes but worth listening to, it brings a whole new meaning to it. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EhJZ-PT3R8 have a wonderful day and thanks for reading.

Harvey’s Comedy club night

Saturday is here and I can get out at least for a little bit and go to Harvey’s which is always a fun night but let’s step back a few days. Wednesday, I really needed to go and get my nails done and as luck happened I had a window of 2 hours. I was getting home early so I decided I was going to go to the nail salon, I called at 2:30 and got an appointment for 3:30 so right after calling I started getting ready. It was a quick outing so I got ready as fast as I could and was on my way, I got to the nail salon about 3:20 and went in. I was the only one there so Anna could start my nails.

It really is a fun and relaxing experience. Anna did a wonderful job and my nails once again looked awesome. It was a fast trip but wonderful and I was all done with my pretty nails by 4. Now I had to go right home and jump right into the shower and clean up as I needed to be someplace by 4:30 as my male self and I made it. I think this was my fastest outing as Susan, less than two hours.

Now back to Saturday it would also be a quick trip out, I didn’t think I would get home till 7:30 or 8 so I would be late. Luck happened and I was home a little after 7 and started getting ready. I had my dress and heels all picked out and new just how I wanted to do my makeup so that always makes it go faster. I was ready and on my way by 7:45. I got downtown by 8:15 and went straight to Harvey’s. I was the first one to arrive. Shortly after another t-girl showed up with her girlfriend. They met some of our girls in Salem and herd about Harvey’s so came up to meet us. I got to talk with them briefly before others started to show up. We had one of our bigger nights tonight, 26 in our group. It was so awesome to see some of my friends tonight as I have really missed going out. I am hopping things will get better in a couple weeks.

It was so wonderful to get to talk to Peggy again, I have missed seeing her. I also got to talk with Julie and Trixie. It was also cool as Danielle who I met at Diva Las Vegas this year was in town with her wife and they came and joined us for Harvey’s. It was wonderful to see her again and meet her wife who was awesome and very supportive of Danielle. Another wonderful thing about tonight as we had 5 wives and 3 girlfriends of our members out tonight so it really was a good night for significant others.

Soon it was time to go in for the show, I got to sit next to Peggy and also Julie, Trixie, Danielle and her wife and Cassandra. The one sad thing with a group this big it is hard to talk with everyone. So, I will try at naming everyone who showed up. Laura M, Laura H, and her girlfriend, Jan, Lynn, Cassandra, Peggy, Julie, Trixie, Danielle and her wife, Melissa and her Wife, Sophie and her wife, Kim, Kelly, Bambi, Kris, Jeannie, the new girl and her girlfriend, and I know I am missing someone but it was a good night out. And of course, we had to get some pictures.

The show started and it was really good as always, all 3 comedians were good but the headliner was awesome. We have seen home before but still really funny. The night went by so fast but it was awesome and just what this girl needed, a night out with my friends. It was sad to see it come to an end. It really is hard not being able to express this side of myself right now.

Harvey’s comedy club

It is Saturday and the group is going to Harvey’s Comedy club tonight which is always a fun night out. Now my Susan time is very limited right now do to family health issues so Susan time and b logs will be limited. With that being said, I have been getting home between 7 and 8 at night so I felt I could be to Harvey’s by 9:30 to make the show so I signed up to go. I was really looking forward to it not only as it would be a chance to be Susan again and go out but I would get to see some of my friends who I have really missed. I have been looking forward to tonight all week long.

I got home at 7:15 and I was already, I had the dress I was going to ware all set out and new just how I wanted to do my makeup so I was hoping I would be able to get ready faster, tonight would be about getting out more than the getting ready as my time is limited. I was ready by 8 and on my way. It was so good to be out as Susan again. I got downtown and found a parking spot right across the street.

Laura H, and Lisa were there so I joined them. It wasn’t long and the girls that met earlier at Fox & Hounds showed up. It was so great to see them again, Cassandra, Melissa and her wife, Julie and Trixie, Sophie and her wife Lorna, Bambi and Kris, Kim, Jennie and Amy, and one of our newest members, Janeece. We had 17 here tonight and it was great to see every one of them. I got to talk with Julie and Trixie for a while, it was wonderful to see them. I will see them again in a couple weeks when we go to the Red Dress party.

Now there was a good crowd here tonight, it is always fun when there is a large group here. We always have such a fun night. Now we have a new waitress named Norma and she seem really nice. I think she will be our regular waitress now. We all miss Kim our friend and former waitress who surprised us and showed up tonight to watch the show with us. It was so wonderful to see her again.

The show was awesome, all 3 comedians were good but the headliner was awesome, one of the best we have seen. His name was David Crowe and he was wonderful. If you get a chance to see him you should. It really was a wonderful night even though it was short. After the show, I gave Melissa and her wife a ride b ack to their car as they parked down by Fox & Hounds. The it was time to head home. I am not sure when I will get out again, it makes me appreciate my time out as Susan.

Thanks for reading.

Saturday night at Harvey’s, Kim’s last night

Saturday is here and our group is going to Harvey’s Comedy Club. Now we have been going here once a month since November of 2011 although we did go several times before that also. It is always a fun night and I always look forward to it. Now I have not been able to have any Susan time this week as I have had family in town and I wasn’t even sure I would make it out tonight as I didn’t know what time they were leaving. Well they had left by 5 so I rushed home and started getting ready. Looks like I would be able to get to Fox & Hounds before going to Harvey’s.

I got downtown and parked right at 7, as I walked the block to Fox & Hounds I heard a horn honk but really didn’t pay any attention to it. Turns out it was Cassandra, she said she was also calling my name but I didn’t hear that. I had no more then ordered a drink and fries when Cassandra waked in. She also got a drink and we went and sat down to wait for the others to show up. Melissa was the next to arrive followed by Bambi and Kris and of course Barb also made it. The 6 of us had a nice visit over the next hour or so till it was time to leave and walk over to Harvey’s. Now of course part of the conversation was about Diva Las Vegas which is now only 3 weeks away but there is still time to sign up. Now the sad new is Julie is not going to make it this year which is so sad. Was really looking forward to spending the week with her. Now Cassandra and I will arrive in Las Vegas Friday night March 24 probably 8 pm or later. We are driving down in one day. Melissa and her wife are also driving down bit they won’t get there till Sunday. Cassandra, Veronica and are staying at the California Hotel casino downtown. Was looking online and it is now sold out on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday of the week we are there.

It was about 8:30 when we walked over to Harvey’s, it was raining just a little but we all had umbrellas. It was a little cold but not bad. We got there and it was not real busy, Star and Kim met us at the door and had hugs for all of us. Now the other sad news, Kim our favorite waitress and friend, this is her last night working at Harvey’s. She is starting a new job in Brush Prairie Washington. She has invited us all to come there and see her but I think it will be hard to get most of the group to go as it is not close to Portland. I am going to make it there and see her. Now Kim has been telling us about her boyfriend for a couple years and it turns out he came tonight to surprise her. She brought him over to meet the group and he sat with us for the show and he was really nice. Now Sophie, Kelly, Kim who I have not seen in years and one of Barb’s friends who I can’t remember her name also made it tonight. We had a good turnout tonight. Now Peggy also showed up what a wonderful surprise. It was great to see her again. I really do need to get together with her before Diva Las Vegas. I also need to get out and do some shopping. I am thinking next Saturday as a shopping day.

I had to get one selfie before the show. We went inside for the show and of course I ordered dinner. It is funny as I was thinking about the first time I went to Diva Las Vegas. I had found it online and was planning on going by myself. I had met Peggy at Starbucks and we were talking and I told her about it and her and Cassandra decided to also go so the 3 of us made the trip together. Probably one of the best vacations I have ever taken. That was back in 2010, 7 years ago, Wow seems like just yesterday. I really do have some wonderful friends.

The show started and the first comedian was good although she spoke really fast and was hard to understand sometimes. The second comedian was really good and the headliner was awesome. It is good to get out for a night and just laugh and have fun and forget about everything else. If you are looking for a fun night out your really should check out Harvey’s Comedy Club.

After the show, we got to talk with Kim for a bit, it won’t be the same here without her but she is part of our group and does come out on Wednesday dinner sometime. Kim and Star are both thinking of going to Las Vegas when we are there for Diva Las Vegas, how fun would that be. Kim introduced us to one of the other waitresses here named Stephanie, she is going to be our new waitress here and she seems really nice. All the staff here is wonderful but it is nice to have a regular waitress and a contact when we come here.

After the show, we all walked back to Fox & Hounds as that s where most of us parked. It was not raining but was a little cold out. It was a really fun night.

Wonderful night at Harvey’s Comedy Club.

Susan at Harveys 2-4-2017It is Saturday and we are going to Harvey’s Comedy club tonight. It will be different as I can only remember 1 time going to Harvey’s that Cristine was not there. We have been going to Harvey’s once a month since November of 2011 and we went a few time before that back to 2009. It is really one of our groups longest regular events. We always look forward to it as it is such a fun night and Harvey’s has treated our group wonderful over all those years.

I started getting ready early so I could take my time. I chose my blue and black dress for tonight. it is a cute dress. I was all ready and on my way as it started to really rain. I got to Fox & Hounds just before 7 and it was raining so hard even though I was parked right across the street I needed my umbrella.

Cassandra and Rebecca were there already. Rebecca came down from Seattle to go to Harvey’s with us. It wasn’t long and Jan, Lynn, and Melissa showed up. It was good to see them again. This week is really food to see friends. Lorie also showed up. She has been coming out to the Escape with us for a while now but this s her first time out with us someplace else. It was fun as I always like when we have girls new to going out as I remember what it was like for me.

Sandy also showed up as she was in town working this weekend. She can’t go to Harvey’s as she hast to drive home tonight but it was great to see her again as it has been a long time. She is so much fun, really wish she could come down here more. I did get to talk with Sandy for a while and she also had on a blue dress tonight, almost lie we coordinated it that way. We all talked till about 8:45 before we headed for Harvey’s. Cassandra drove as she had a picture she was taking but the rest of us walked.

We got to Harvey’s and Sophie and Peggy were there. It was good to see them and such a surprise to see Peggy. I really do need to get together for dinner with Peggy again. I got to talk with Peggy which was awesome. It is funny as we walked the 8 block while Cassandra drove over and we still got there before her. Now while we were sitting there a man came over and introduced himself to me, I believe as Charlotte, Turns out she reads this blog and recognized me. Still amazes me when this happens. Later on I saw here again but she was with people so I didn’t want to say anything in front of them, wish I would have talked with her more.

Kim at Harvey’s came out to talk with us, she was going to have the opening comedian / MC say something for Cristine, as I said she never missed Harvey’s. It really was hard tonight at some times. WE all sat and talked till it was time to go into the show.

We had our normal table and Kim had a glass of beer with a straw in it and some flowers where Cristine always sat. it was so special and Cassandra put Cristines picture on the table there and we left the seat open for her so it was kind of like she was there with us.

The opening comedian came out and talked a few minutes about Cristine and our group and how long we have been coming here. It was really nice and so wonderful of Kim to set this up and for Harvey’s to do this for us.

The show started and it was awesome as always. All 3 of the comedians tonight were really good. I had a blonde moment and couldn’t remember any of their names but at least the headliner I could go to Harvey’s web site and get his name, Alex Elkin. He was incredible, if you get a chance to see him you should. Also if you are in Portland and want to see good comedy go check out Harvey’s Comedy Club. We all laughed so hard tonight and that is something we all needed this week.

After the show we walked back to where we parked before calling it a night. It was a wonderful night out made more special by the friends I was with. I did like the way my makeup turned out tonight.

Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy Club

Saturday is here and it is our monthly outing to Harvey’s tonight. I was really looking forward to this as always as it is such a fun night out but more important is I have a new dress for tonight. It is going to be so fun. It really is funny how much I look forward to going out as Susan, everything just seems more fun and enjoyable. Now like any girl with a big night out I couldn’t wait and started getting ready early. I not only wanted to take my time to look my best but also to just relax and enjoy the experience. I started getting ready at 4 and took my time. I was ready a little before 6 in my pretty new dress.

Now some of us meet at Fox & Hounds at 7 for a little social time before we go to Harvey’s so I was on my way by 6 figuring I would get there a little early. Well that didn’t work out as traffic was really bad and what would normally take me 20 to 25 minutes took me an hour. I got there just before 7. Now I got lucky and found a parking spot right in front of Fox & Hounds. I was the first one there so I got a drink and a table and waited. I wasn’t sure how many would meet here first but I did know we had 11 going to Harvey’s.

Melissa showed up shortly after I did so we had a chance to talk before others showed up. She has been one of our regulars for Harvey’s the last few months. Cassandra showed up next, she also got caught in traffic. Laura H. and Lisa also met us at Fox & Hounds so we had 5 of us here. We talked for a while some about our web page as we had an upgrade to it over the last week. It really looks good and as we find things that can be better we fix them. We hung out here till about 8:30 before walking over to Harvey’s.

Now it was raining a little so I stopped by my car and got my pink umbrella plus 2 others for Melissa and Cassandra. It was a little cold and rainy but it was a nice walk over to Harvey’s. When we got there Cristine was already there and there was a small crowd here already. Now it is suppose to be a good show tonight and a sold out so it will be a lot of fun. Got to talk with Star some she is our favorite bar tender here always good to see her.

Now of course with a new dress I had to get a picture. I had Cassandra take a Susan new dress at Harveys 12-3-2016 (1)picture of me and of course she also had me get a picture of her. I seem to only remember pictures when I have a new outfit or something special going on. Years ago we took pictures, many pictures every time we went out. It really is a cute dress.

Sophie, Lorna, Jeanie, Amy and Cassie also showed up so all 11 of us were her for the show. We all sat and talked till it was time to go in for the show. We even talked some about Diva Las Vegas as Cassandra and I are planning on going and a few other girls are thinking about it. It is Monday March 26 to Friday March 31 if you are interested in going.

We got into the showroom and it was pretty full, not sold out but one of their bigger crowds. Kim our favorite waitress was here, always wonderful to see her. I think we look forward to seeing her and Star as much as we do the show. we really have met some wonderful people as we have gone out.

The show started and it was really good as always. All 3 of the comedians were good and we had a great time. Harvey’s really is a good place to go and see a comedy show, they have really good comedians and treat you wonderful. If you are in Portland check them out. After the show we got to talk with Kim for a while which was nice. I hope she comes to a Wednesday night dinner with us again. Of course I probably wont make the next few as this month will be hard for me to get out on Wednesdays.

Now it was time to walk back to Fox & Hounds where we parked. it was colder and really rainy now so it was good we had umbrellas. Now the bad thing was the Susan new dress at Harveys 12-3-2016 (1)heels I wore were open toed as you can see in the picture. Very cute but only about a 1/4 inch thick so any standing water got on my feet. We hadn’t even gone a block and my feet were wet and of course cold. Probably not the best choice for tonight but they looked so cute with my dress. I really do love cute shoes and dresses. Females have all the best stuff to wear, pretty colors and pretty styles.

WE got back to Fox & Hounds and some of the girls went in for a while. It was late and my feet were cold so I called it a night. It really was a fun night out as always.

Thanks for reading my blog. I started my blog to help me remember my time as Susan and to keep a record of it never thinking others would read it. This is my 903 blog entry, It is hard to believe I have gone out that many times.

Saturday night at Harvey’s

I was really looking forward to tonight and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club it is one of our groups (rosecitytgirls) most fun outings at least I think so. Our group has been going here once a month for many years now. I wasn’t sure who all were going but Cassandra told me we had 12 signed up. I started getting ready early as I figured I could go to Fox & Hound and do my blog from Friday 15623121759_5206bb505e_onight before the other girls showed up, yes a chance to be out a little longer. I was ready by 5:45 and on my way. I wore my black and gold dress tonight.

I got to Fox & Hound by 6 and they were really busy and only got busier. I had about an hour to do my blog before others started to show up, First were Jan & Lynn followed by Melissa, Laura H. and Lisa. It was good to see Melissa again. She has been getting out on Harvey’s night which is nice but would be great if she could get out more. I am hoping she will go golfing with us the end of the month. The 6 of us had a nice time talking over the next 1 1/2 hours. We stayed here till 8:30 and by this time Fox & Hound was packed, there wasn’t an open table and people were standing around so I am sure when we left our tables were taken.

Now it was a nice night right about 70 out so a very enjoyable walk to Harvey’s. I did bring my sweater as it could be a little cool out on the walk back. The 6 of us talked as we walked the 6 blocks with all the other people out walking around downtown Portland.

WE got to Harvey’s and Cristine was already there waiting for us. It wasn’t long and Sophie, Michele and her girlfriend, Cassie, Dee and Stacy showed up so we actually had 14 of us here tonight.

Soon it was time to go into the showroom for the show, It is nice to have a table all reserved. Kim was waiting for us inside and it is always great to see her. I talked with her a little while people came in and made sure she new about our new web site, she tried to join but didn’t finish so she will be joining soon. She has been in our group for a while and has always been supportive of us. Really everyone at Harvey’s looks forward to the night we come and we are always treated wonderful here. I ordered food and we talked till the show started.

The show started and it was good. They have an MC who starts the show and he was good, The featured comedian was okay but the headliner was awesome. His name was Brad Upton and he was awesome. One of the best comedians we have seen here, if you get a chance to go see him you really should and if you are looking for a fun night out in Portland Harvey’s is a good choice. Some of his jokes were so funny and think we all laughed the whole time. It was a wonderful night out for our group.

After the show we got to talk with Kim a little more she is looking forward to her trip in a few months. While we were talking a young girl came by and was taking the salt shakers off the table and I jokingly asked if she was taking them. About that time Berry the owner came over and asked if I had met her granddaughter. Berry is wanting to retire and his son is going to take over running Harvey’s I talked to her and she asked my name and I told her and she said she had read my blog. Seems more people read it then I thought. It was a nice night out.

After the show we walked back to Fox & Hounds where some of us had parked and it really wasn’t that cold out. I wore my sweater but I probably didn’t need it. It was sad to see the night come to an end as we said our goodbye’s and I headed home.

Friday evening out

I was really looking forward to going out tonight at Sweet Home, the other group that goes here is having a birthday celebration for one of their girls and it is a Rejected Superhero theme although I am not sure what that really means. It should be fun and there should be a big group. I took my time getting ready as I really like it when I don’t have to rush. With my makeup done now it was time to decide on a dress. it is really warm out today and I was thinking something light when I saw my little black dress. I haven’t worn this in a long time and decided 111-4that was the dress for tonight. It really is a cute dress, here is a picture of me wearing it when I was at Diva Las Vegas.

I got to Sweet Home about 6:30 and it was pretty quiet, Chris was there and a couple other people but I knew there would be a good crowd here later. I got out my computer and caught up on some e-mails. Our new web site rosecitytgirls.com has been up for a couple weeks and we have over 60 members signed up now. We figure we will lose a lot of our members we had in the Yahoo Group as I think some joined but never really got active in the group and may not be following it any more. It is a Members only group for our members security but parts of the site are open to everyone like our news page and our events page, this way if if a T-girl is coming to town she can see where we will be and get a hold of us.

Roxy showed up tonight and also Robin, It was good to see Robin again as it has been a while. WE had a chance to talk a little and catch up on what is new with each other while we had a nice dinner. the special tonight was Chicken Parmesan and it was awesome. Well as it got later it got busier and the other group started coming in, some of them in super hero costumes. It was going to be a fun and interesting night.

De also showed up for a little while, she is back in town. IT was nice to see her, She will be going to Harvey’s Comedy Club tomorrow night so I will also see her then, so we had 5 of our group out tonight. By the time Karaoke started it was really busy, Mareinna, Rikki and Jessica from the other group showed up and it was good to see them, I really have met some wonderful people here and I look forward to seeing them. I actually stayed out later then I planned as it was after 11:30 when I left. It was a really fun night.

Now I am looking forward to Saturday night and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club, this will make 3 nights in a row Susan will be out. This is always a fun night out. I think we have 12 of us going to this event. Also the end of the month we have our Rose City T-girl gold tournament at Wildwood golf course. We have been going here for 4 years now and always have so much fun. It is great we have an active group here.

Fun Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy Club.

Saturday is here and tonight we are going to Harvey’s Comedy Club which is always such a fun night. I always look forward to this night. I started getting ready at 4:30 as I wanted to take my time, enjoy the whole getting ready experience as I find it relaxing. There is something calming and peaceful about being Susan.

I was ready to leave at 6 and on my way. It took me an hour to get downtown Portland as there was a wreck on the way and traffic was backed up for miles. I got to Fox & Hounds right at 7. Cassandra and Laura M were already there. Laura and I both wore black and white dresses tonight. Some of us meet here at Fox & Hounds for drinks and to visit before we go to Harvey’s. We have 14 signed up for tonight.

It wasn’t long and others started to show up, Jan & Lynn, Laura H. and Melissa. This is Melissa’s second time out, she also came to Harvey’s last month. It was good to see here again and I was glad she made it. Debbie also showed up in boy mode. She isn’t going to Harvey’s but wanted to come out with the group before she leaves. She has been working here for a while but lives overseas and Sunday morning she is flying back home. We will all miss her and hope she will come back.

It was about 8:30 when we all left and walked over to Harvey’s. It was a really nice night for a walk. There really is something fun about just being out walking around town as Susan. We got to Harvey’s and Cristine, Sophie and Lorna were already there, it was good to see them again. Michelle and her friend showed up so we ended up with 12 tonight for the show.

Soon it was time to go into the showroom, being a holiday weekend it was a smaller crowd but still fun. Kim ad our normal table reserved for us, it was great to see her again. we got to talk a little and she was telling us about her next vacation, she will have so much fun. I really look forward to seeing her when we come here, hopefully she will go out with the group on a Wednesday night again.

The show started and as always it was really good. There is nothing like a fun night out listening to great comedy. All the comedians were great, The headliner was really good, His name was Cory Michaelis. He was really funny, if you get a chance to see him you should. As always the night went by so fast and soon it was over. After the show The comedians came over to our table, Cory wanted to get a picture with us and of course we were all to happy to get have a picture with him.

Weal walked back to where we parked by Fox & Hounds. it was a nice walk back as it was still warm out. it really was a fun night out.

Thanks for reading and I would like to wish you all a Happy 4th of July

Saturday night at Harvey’s

It is a really hot Saturday upper 90’s and after being outside all day I was really looking forward to tonight. Our group is making its monthly night out to Harvey’s Comedy club. This really is one of our most fun outings. It would be so nice to be in an air-conditioned place on a hot evening watching really good comedy. I started getting ready with the hope of being downtown Portland by 6. Portland has Rose Festival going on now and tonight is the Starlight Parade which starts at 8:30 so I figured by 7 parking would be hard to find.

It took a little longer getting ready as I wanted to take my time and look my best, I really do enjoy the whole process of transforming into Susan. It is such a relaxing feeling. I actually got downtown at 6:15 and found a parking spot a half block from Fox & Hounds. Now we only had 7 going tonight and I figures 4 would go straight to Harvey’s. I had my computer to keep me busy till others showed up. I got out of my car and the heat hit me, wow it was hot out. As Susan I am not a fan of really hot weather as I hate sweating as a girl as I am worried about my makeup. I did use a water proof mascara just incase.

Now I just had to wait for others to show up. The only one I new for sure would meet me at Fox & Hounds was Melissa, she is one of our new members and this would be her first time going out. Melissa e-mailed me she was on her way so I knew she would show up. It was about 7:30 when she got there. Melissa looked really nice and if she was nervous or scared you couldn’t tell it. I remember how I was the first few times I went out.

It was nice to meet her and she seems really nice. We spent the next 45 minutes talking and getting to know each other. She has been dressing for years and now wants to start going out. It is funny how so many of us progress this way. I use to love dressing at home and now when I am Susan I want to go out, I can’t remember the last time I was Susan and just stayed home. Turns out her wife also knows and is supportive, hopefully she will coke out with her and meet a couple of the other wives and girlfriends. No one else showed up so at 8:20 we left and walked over to Harvey’s. It was still hot out guessing close to 90 but it was a nice walk and we talked more as we walked. By the time we got to Harvey’s we were both warm so it was nice to get back inside where they had A/C.

We were the first t arrive at Harvey’s so we got a table to wait. Cristine texted me her bus had over heated and she was waiting for another, turns out the another bus didn’t get there till almost 10 so she just went back home. Jan, Lynn and Sophia showed up and I introduced them to Melissa. Michelle and her friend also showed up so we did have 7 tonight. Not as big of a turnout as I had hoped but still good. Star our favorite bar tender got us all drinks and it was good to see her and we sat and talked as we waited for the late show.

It started to get busy and soon it was time to go in. it was a smaller crowd tonight but I think with the parade and the heat it may have kept people away. Kim came over and talked with us, I always look forward to seeing her. We all ordered food and soon the show started. It was really good tonight. All 3 of the comedians were really good. What better way to spend an evening then laughing and having fun. It was a great night.

After the show we got to talk with Kim a little before we left and of course she had hugs for all of us. It was a wonderful night. It was still in the low 80’s out so it was a warn nice evening outside. Melissa and I walked back to where we had parked. I think Melissa had a good time and I am sure she will be going out with the group again.

Thanks for reading
