Harvey’s comedy club

It is Saturday and the group is going to Harvey’s Comedy club tonight which is always a fun night out. Now my Susan time is very limited right now do to family health issues so Susan time and b logs will be limited. With that being said, I have been getting home between 7 and 8 at night so I felt I could be to Harvey’s by 9:30 to make the show so I signed up to go. I was really looking forward to it not only as it would be a chance to be Susan again and go out but I would get to see some of my friends who I have really missed. I have been looking forward to tonight all week long.

I got home at 7:15 and I was already, I had the dress I was going to ware all set out and new just how I wanted to do my makeup so I was hoping I would be able to get ready faster, tonight would be about getting out more than the getting ready as my time is limited. I was ready by 8 and on my way. It was so good to be out as Susan again. I got downtown and found a parking spot right across the street.

Laura H, and Lisa were there so I joined them. It wasn’t long and the girls that met earlier at Fox & Hounds showed up. It was so great to see them again, Cassandra, Melissa and her wife, Julie and Trixie, Sophie and her wife Lorna, Bambi and Kris, Kim, Jennie and Amy, and one of our newest members, Janeece. We had 17 here tonight and it was great to see every one of them. I got to talk with Julie and Trixie for a while, it was wonderful to see them. I will see them again in a couple weeks when we go to the Red Dress party.

Now there was a good crowd here tonight, it is always fun when there is a large group here. We always have such a fun night. Now we have a new waitress named Norma and she seem really nice. I think she will be our regular waitress now. We all miss Kim our friend and former waitress who surprised us and showed up tonight to watch the show with us. It was so wonderful to see her again.

The show was awesome, all 3 comedians were good but the headliner was awesome, one of the best we have seen. His name was David Crowe and he was wonderful. If you get a chance to see him you should. It really was a wonderful night even though it was short. After the show, I gave Melissa and her wife a ride b ack to their car as they parked down by Fox & Hounds. The it was time to head home. I am not sure when I will get out again, it makes me appreciate my time out as Susan.

Thanks for reading.

Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy Club

Saturday is here and it is our monthly outing to Harvey’s tonight. I was really looking forward to this as always as it is such a fun night out but more important is I have a new dress for tonight. It is going to be so fun. It really is funny how much I look forward to going out as Susan, everything just seems more fun and enjoyable. Now like any girl with a big night out I couldn’t wait and started getting ready early. I not only wanted to take my time to look my best but also to just relax and enjoy the experience. I started getting ready at 4 and took my time. I was ready a little before 6 in my pretty new dress.

Now some of us meet at Fox & Hounds at 7 for a little social time before we go to Harvey’s so I was on my way by 6 figuring I would get there a little early. Well that didn’t work out as traffic was really bad and what would normally take me 20 to 25 minutes took me an hour. I got there just before 7. Now I got lucky and found a parking spot right in front of Fox & Hounds. I was the first one there so I got a drink and a table and waited. I wasn’t sure how many would meet here first but I did know we had 11 going to Harvey’s.

Melissa showed up shortly after I did so we had a chance to talk before others showed up. She has been one of our regulars for Harvey’s the last few months. Cassandra showed up next, she also got caught in traffic. Laura H. and Lisa also met us at Fox & Hounds so we had 5 of us here. We talked for a while some about our web page as we had an upgrade to it over the last week. It really looks good and as we find things that can be better we fix them. We hung out here till about 8:30 before walking over to Harvey’s.

Now it was raining a little so I stopped by my car and got my pink umbrella plus 2 others for Melissa and Cassandra. It was a little cold and rainy but it was a nice walk over to Harvey’s. When we got there Cristine was already there and there was a small crowd here already. Now it is suppose to be a good show tonight and a sold out so it will be a lot of fun. Got to talk with Star some she is our favorite bar tender here always good to see her.

Now of course with a new dress I had to get a picture. I had Cassandra take a Susan new dress at Harveys 12-3-2016 (1)picture of me and of course she also had me get a picture of her. I seem to only remember pictures when I have a new outfit or something special going on. Years ago we took pictures, many pictures every time we went out. It really is a cute dress.

Sophie, Lorna, Jeanie, Amy and Cassie also showed up so all 11 of us were her for the show. We all sat and talked till it was time to go in for the show. We even talked some about Diva Las Vegas as Cassandra and I are planning on going and a few other girls are thinking about it. It is Monday March 26 to Friday March 31 if you are interested in going.

We got into the showroom and it was pretty full, not sold out but one of their bigger crowds. Kim our favorite waitress was here, always wonderful to see her. I think we look forward to seeing her and Star as much as we do the show. we really have met some wonderful people as we have gone out.

The show started and it was really good as always. All 3 of the comedians were good and we had a great time. Harvey’s really is a good place to go and see a comedy show, they have really good comedians and treat you wonderful. If you are in Portland check them out. After the show we got to talk with Kim for a while which was nice. I hope she comes to a Wednesday night dinner with us again. Of course I probably wont make the next few as this month will be hard for me to get out on Wednesdays.

Now it was time to walk back to Fox & Hounds where we parked. it was colder and really rainy now so it was good we had umbrellas. Now the bad thing was the Susan new dress at Harveys 12-3-2016 (1)heels I wore were open toed as you can see in the picture. Very cute but only about a 1/4 inch thick so any standing water got on my feet. We hadn’t even gone a block and my feet were wet and of course cold. Probably not the best choice for tonight but they looked so cute with my dress. I really do love cute shoes and dresses. Females have all the best stuff to wear, pretty colors and pretty styles.

WE got back to Fox & Hounds and some of the girls went in for a while. It was late and my feet were cold so I called it a night. It really was a fun night out as always.

Thanks for reading my blog. I started my blog to help me remember my time as Susan and to keep a record of it never thinking others would read it. This is my 903 blog entry, It is hard to believe I have gone out that many times.

Saturday night at Harvey’s

I was really looking forward to tonight and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club it is one of our groups (rosecitytgirls) most fun outings at least I think so. Our group has been going here once a month for many years now. I wasn’t sure who all were going but Cassandra told me we had 12 signed up. I started getting ready early as I figured I could go to Fox & Hound and do my blog from Friday 15623121759_5206bb505e_onight before the other girls showed up, yes a chance to be out a little longer. I was ready by 5:45 and on my way. I wore my black and gold dress tonight.

I got to Fox & Hound by 6 and they were really busy and only got busier. I had about an hour to do my blog before others started to show up, First were Jan & Lynn followed by Melissa, Laura H. and Lisa. It was good to see Melissa again. She has been getting out on Harvey’s night which is nice but would be great if she could get out more. I am hoping she will go golfing with us the end of the month. The 6 of us had a nice time talking over the next 1 1/2 hours. We stayed here till 8:30 and by this time Fox & Hound was packed, there wasn’t an open table and people were standing around so I am sure when we left our tables were taken.

Now it was a nice night right about 70 out so a very enjoyable walk to Harvey’s. I did bring my sweater as it could be a little cool out on the walk back. The 6 of us talked as we walked the 6 blocks with all the other people out walking around downtown Portland.

WE got to Harvey’s and Cristine was already there waiting for us. It wasn’t long and Sophie, Michele and her girlfriend, Cassie, Dee and Stacy showed up so we actually had 14 of us here tonight.

Soon it was time to go into the showroom for the show, It is nice to have a table all reserved. Kim was waiting for us inside and it is always great to see her. I talked with her a little while people came in and made sure she new about our new web site, she tried to join but didn’t finish so she will be joining soon. She has been in our group for a while and has always been supportive of us. Really everyone at Harvey’s looks forward to the night we come and we are always treated wonderful here. I ordered food and we talked till the show started.

The show started and it was good. They have an MC who starts the show and he was good, The featured comedian was okay but the headliner was awesome. His name was Brad Upton and he was awesome. One of the best comedians we have seen here, if you get a chance to go see him you really should and if you are looking for a fun night out in Portland Harvey’s is a good choice. Some of his jokes were so funny and think we all laughed the whole time. It was a wonderful night out for our group.

After the show we got to talk with Kim a little more she is looking forward to her trip in a few months. While we were talking a young girl came by and was taking the salt shakers off the table and I jokingly asked if she was taking them. About that time Berry the owner came over and asked if I had met her granddaughter. Berry is wanting to retire and his son is going to take over running Harvey’s I talked to her and she asked my name and I told her and she said she had read my blog. Seems more people read it then I thought. It was a nice night out.

After the show we walked back to Fox & Hounds where some of us had parked and it really wasn’t that cold out. I wore my sweater but I probably didn’t need it. It was sad to see the night come to an end as we said our goodbye’s and I headed home.

Fun Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy Club.

Saturday is here and tonight we are going to Harvey’s Comedy Club which is always such a fun night. I always look forward to this night. I started getting ready at 4:30 as I wanted to take my time, enjoy the whole getting ready experience as I find it relaxing. There is something calming and peaceful about being Susan.

I was ready to leave at 6 and on my way. It took me an hour to get downtown Portland as there was a wreck on the way and traffic was backed up for miles. I got to Fox & Hounds right at 7. Cassandra and Laura M were already there. Laura and I both wore black and white dresses tonight. Some of us meet here at Fox & Hounds for drinks and to visit before we go to Harvey’s. We have 14 signed up for tonight.

It wasn’t long and others started to show up, Jan & Lynn, Laura H. and Melissa. This is Melissa’s second time out, she also came to Harvey’s last month. It was good to see here again and I was glad she made it. Debbie also showed up in boy mode. She isn’t going to Harvey’s but wanted to come out with the group before she leaves. She has been working here for a while but lives overseas and Sunday morning she is flying back home. We will all miss her and hope she will come back.

It was about 8:30 when we all left and walked over to Harvey’s. It was a really nice night for a walk. There really is something fun about just being out walking around town as Susan. We got to Harvey’s and Cristine, Sophie and Lorna were already there, it was good to see them again. Michelle and her friend showed up so we ended up with 12 tonight for the show.

Soon it was time to go into the showroom, being a holiday weekend it was a smaller crowd but still fun. Kim ad our normal table reserved for us, it was great to see her again. we got to talk a little and she was telling us about her next vacation, she will have so much fun. I really look forward to seeing her when we come here, hopefully she will go out with the group on a Wednesday night again.

The show started and as always it was really good. There is nothing like a fun night out listening to great comedy. All the comedians were great, The headliner was really good, His name was Cory Michaelis. He was really funny, if you get a chance to see him you should. As always the night went by so fast and soon it was over. After the show The comedians came over to our table, Cory wanted to get a picture with us and of course we were all to happy to get have a picture with him.

Weal walked back to where we parked by Fox & Hounds. it was a nice walk back as it was still warm out. it really was a fun night out.

Thanks for reading and I would like to wish you all a Happy 4th of July

Saturday night at Harvey’s

It is a really hot Saturday upper 90’s and after being outside all day I was really looking forward to tonight. Our group is making its monthly night out to Harvey’s Comedy club. This really is one of our most fun outings. It would be so nice to be in an air-conditioned place on a hot evening watching really good comedy. I started getting ready with the hope of being downtown Portland by 6. Portland has Rose Festival going on now and tonight is the Starlight Parade which starts at 8:30 so I figured by 7 parking would be hard to find.

It took a little longer getting ready as I wanted to take my time and look my best, I really do enjoy the whole process of transforming into Susan. It is such a relaxing feeling. I actually got downtown at 6:15 and found a parking spot a half block from Fox & Hounds. Now we only had 7 going tonight and I figures 4 would go straight to Harvey’s. I had my computer to keep me busy till others showed up. I got out of my car and the heat hit me, wow it was hot out. As Susan I am not a fan of really hot weather as I hate sweating as a girl as I am worried about my makeup. I did use a water proof mascara just incase.

Now I just had to wait for others to show up. The only one I new for sure would meet me at Fox & Hounds was Melissa, she is one of our new members and this would be her first time going out. Melissa e-mailed me she was on her way so I knew she would show up. It was about 7:30 when she got there. Melissa looked really nice and if she was nervous or scared you couldn’t tell it. I remember how I was the first few times I went out.

It was nice to meet her and she seems really nice. We spent the next 45 minutes talking and getting to know each other. She has been dressing for years and now wants to start going out. It is funny how so many of us progress this way. I use to love dressing at home and now when I am Susan I want to go out, I can’t remember the last time I was Susan and just stayed home. Turns out her wife also knows and is supportive, hopefully she will coke out with her and meet a couple of the other wives and girlfriends. No one else showed up so at 8:20 we left and walked over to Harvey’s. It was still hot out guessing close to 90 but it was a nice walk and we talked more as we walked. By the time we got to Harvey’s we were both warm so it was nice to get back inside where they had A/C.

We were the first t arrive at Harvey’s so we got a table to wait. Cristine texted me her bus had over heated and she was waiting for another, turns out the another bus didn’t get there till almost 10 so she just went back home. Jan, Lynn and Sophia showed up and I introduced them to Melissa. Michelle and her friend also showed up so we did have 7 tonight. Not as big of a turnout as I had hoped but still good. Star our favorite bar tender got us all drinks and it was good to see her and we sat and talked as we waited for the late show.

It started to get busy and soon it was time to go in. it was a smaller crowd tonight but I think with the parade and the heat it may have kept people away. Kim came over and talked with us, I always look forward to seeing her. We all ordered food and soon the show started. It was really good tonight. All 3 of the comedians were really good. What better way to spend an evening then laughing and having fun. It was a great night.

After the show we got to talk with Kim a little before we left and of course she had hugs for all of us. It was a wonderful night. It was still in the low 80’s out so it was a warn nice evening outside. Melissa and I walked back to where we had parked. I think Melissa had a good time and I am sure she will be going out with the group again.

Saturday night at Harvey’s

Saturday and we are going to Harvey’s Comedy club tonight, we go every month and have for years. The first time our group went to Harvey’s was December or 2009 and we have been going once a month for the last 4 plus years years. Looking back through my blog I have been to Harvey’s at least 42time now not counting tonight. It really is a fun night out. I took my time getting ready and chose to wear my black and silver dress. it is a really cute dress and comes just below my knees. I was on my way by and got down town about 6:40 and parked. Now I had to take a couple Susan selfie in car (1)selfie’s in the car.

Cassandra, Laura H. and her friend Lisa were already there. We had 12 of us going tonight so about average. This is a fun night out I wonder why more girls don’t go. We ordered drinks and waited for other to show up. most of us meet at Fox & Hound and then walk over to Harvey’s as it is only 7 blocks and parking is easier here plus it is a beautiful evening so it will be a nice evening to walk over.

It wasn’t long and others started to show up. Laura M. and her friend Jenny, Barb Mikaela and her friend Tony and Kayla so 10 of us met here. We sat here and talked till a little after 8 before heading over to Harvey’s. It was a nice walk over, I really love walking through the downtown like any other woman.

We got to Harvey’s and Cristine was there. Cassie showed up a little Mikaela and Me (1)after we got there so all of us were there by 8:45. Now I got a chance to talk with Mikaela and of course She was taking pictures so I had to get a picture with her.

It is funny how I don’t think of getting pictures anymore, a few years back I would tae so many every time I was out. Luckily Mikaela reminds me. Mikaela also took aSusan at Harveys picture of me she even helped me pose.

When we first got here it was really slow but we were over an hour early. As time went by it did get busy and soon it was really crowded. The owner Berry came over and talked with us. He is planning on doing a little remodel of the lounge area so he talked with us for a while and told us his plans. Berry has really treated our group great and they all look forward to the night we come.

Well we were all playing with our phone cameras, Turns out I can take a panorama photo so I can get the whole group in Susan Selfie (2)one picture. well of course while I was playing with the camera I took a couple more selfie’s.

Soon it was time to go into the showroom. We got inside to our table and of course Kim was there. She is so awesome, I look forward to seeing her I think we all do. The show started and the MC was really good maybe the best MC we have seen here.

The featured comedian I think his name was Tony  and he was really good also. The headliner was Steve Barkley and he was really good to. all 3 of them were awesome. If you get to see Steve Barkley you really should as you will laugh the whole time. Also if you get to Portland you must go to Harvey’s if you like good comedy, you will have a great time.

The show got over and really it seems like it went by so fast. We got a chance to talk with Kim after the show which is always nice. She wants toSusan Selfie (1) come out with the group on a Wednesday night which would be awesome. I will have to make sure I make it that night.

After the show we walked back to where we parked. It was a really nice night out and there were a lot of people out. It was a good night but sad to see it come to an end.

Septembers night out at Harvey’s Comedy Club, awesome

Saturday night is Harvey’s night and I was really looking forward to tonight as I miss last month’s Harvey’s night. Now we have a big group going tonight, 25 signed up but I am sure we will have a no show or two or someone cancel but still will a fun night. We have been coming to Harvey’s for several years and it is always a fun night. I started getting ready at 5 and enjoyed the time becoming Susan.

I got downtown to Fox & Hound right at 7 and Cassandra, Jan, Lynn, Laura and Ginny. It was good to see Ginny again, I haven’t seen her since the Red Dress party. I got to talk with Ginny for a bit, she is so supportive to Transgender people. Now Fox and Hounds was busy tonight and short staffed so we decided instead of staying here till 8:30 we would head over to Harvey’s at 7:30

A couple new girls showed up, Jamie and Debbie, they just joined our group. Both seem really nice and I hope they will come out more with the group. It was time to head for Harvey’s, there were 7 of us walking over as Ginny wasn’t going to Harvey’s. it was a nice walk and still warm enough that I didn’t need my wrap but I did bring it tonight as it will be cool at midnight when we are on the way back.

We got to Harvey’s and Cristine was there. Now being this early we were the only ones in the Lounge. Berry the owner and his wife came over and talked to us for a while, they have been so awesome to our group. Lillian also made it, she had sent me a message on Facebook saying she would be out and I was looking forward to seeing her. Turns out her wife couldn’t make it tonight but helped her pick out her outfit last night, what a wonderful wife.

Lorna, Sophie, Cassie, Diane, Michelle, Mikaela and Kayla also made it. Mikaela was in boy more tonight. It was still great to see her out again. Now we had a great time talking while we waited for the show to start. Now I know I am missing some people as we had 20 for the show, yes we did have some who canceled but still a good turnout. It was finally time to go in and there was a good crowd tonight but we had our table reserved.

Now Kim our favorite waitress was off tonight and of course we all missed her but she was going to a concert this weekend for her birthday so we were all happy for her. Now I did take another selfie with my phone and it turns out my 20150905_215605new phone takes really good selfie’s. We were ordering dinner and Ginny showed up, turns out she was able to make it tonight for the show which was awesome.

The show started and it was really good as always. The MC and the featured comedians were really good but the headliner was awesome. he was one of the best we have seen here over the years. He was so funny but what made it good was he was having as much fun as the crowd, he was really enjoying himself. his name was Kermet Apio, if you ever get a chance to see him you must.

It is amazing how fast the night went by and soon it was over. We said our goodnight to those who parked by Harvey’s and those of us who parked by Fox and Hounds had a nice walk back and it really wasn’t as cold tonight as last night. It was a lovely evening with my t-girl family.

It was after midnight when we got back to our cars and I headed home. Next month we may try to go to Harvey’s twice as our favorite comedian Julie Scoggins will be here so we of course will go that night. Berry the owner was telling us about another comedian Bob Zany and said we should come for that show too.

Girls night out at Harvey’s

Well it is Saturday and our group is going to Harvey’s Comedy club tonight. We go the first Saturday of every month and is one of the most fun things we do. Now some of us meet at Fox & Hound first so we can have some social time and the restlips (2) just meet us at Harvey’s. It was about 5:15 when I started getting ready. Now tonight I did a little different looks on my eyes, still using the brown shadows but blended it a little different and I think it turned out well. I was ready and out the door by 6:20.

I got downtown and parked where I normally do about a block from Fox & Hound. As I was walking down the street Cassandra parked right in front of the door and went in. It is funny how comfortable I am walking down the street as I didn’t even think about how I was dressed. Now I have been thinking about this and there is good and bad side to this, the good is I pretty much go where I want to but on the bad side I may not always be thinking in the safest way. I use to always be looking around me when I was out and I notice I really don’t do that anymore so I am not always aware of who is around me so I will have to make more of an effort to pay attention when I am out.

I got inside and Laura and Cassandra were already there. We sat at the bar for a while and talked and watched the end of game 7 of the NBA playoff game between the Spurs and the Clipper, The Clippers won in the last seconds of the game. Jan and Lynn also showed up so we all sat there talking and waiting in case any others showed up here before it was time to leave for Harvey’s. It was about 8:15 when we decided to leave for Harvey’s. Now it was nice out now but would be a little chilly tonight when the show was over so Cassandra thought we should all get in her car and drive over. Now I do like the walk but it was a little windy and I really didn’t want windblown hair so it was a good idea. Now it was a tight fir but the 5 of us managed to squeeze in.

We found a parking spot a block from Harvey’s and now we had to get out of the car. Now with that many squeezed in there really was no graceful way to get out of the car especially in a short dress but I did my best. We got inside and Cristine was there already. Now Amy showed up, she is Jennie’s friend who was coming straight from work in boy mode so they were meeting here. Julie, Trixie, Sophia, Cassie and Jennie also showed up so we were going to have a good group tonight, we had 12 of us. We sat around and talked for a while waiting for the late show. Now it started to get crowded as tonight should be a good show and there was standing room only now so it was good we got here a little early. It was time to go in and we let the rest of the people go in as we had our table reserved.

We got inside and our favorite waitress Kim came over, she is really more than our waitress, she is our friend and even a member of our group. She is always happy to see us just as we are happy to see her. We got to talk with her a little even though she was working. We all orders and then it was time for the show to start. Now they have an MC who gets maybe 10 minute and then the opening comedian and the headliner. Now we have never had a bad show here but there are comedians that are better than others and that was the case tonight. Don’t get me wrong they were all really good but the headliner was incredible, it has been a while since I have laughed that hard. His name was Gabriel Rutledge and he was so funny. If you ever get a chance to see him you must. Now I had planned on getting pictures tonight as I wanted one of my eyes as I think they turned out really well but as always I forgot. Funny how getting pictures was always a priority but as I have gone out more and gotten comfortable being out I don’t think about pictures any more plus I bet I have over 2,000 pictures of Susan on my computer.

The night went by so fast and before we knew it the show was over. We sat and let the showroom empty out as we were really in no hurry plus it gave us a chance to talk with Kim a little more. This week on Wednesday we are going to dinner at Spaghetti Factory and Kim is going to try to join us which will be so much fun. Actually the bartender from the lounge is also thinking of joining us for dinner so it will be a lot of fun. I am looking forward to this and plan on going but probably won’t make it by 7 so I told them I would be there but a little late.

On the way out we talked with the comedians and told them how much we liked the show. Outside we all said our goodbyes. Jan Lyn walked back to Fox & Hound with Cristine and Cassandra gave Laura and I a ride back to where we parked. It was a good night.

Saturday night at Harvey’s Comedy Club, what a great way to start October.

Well it is Saturday night and our group’s night out at Harvey’s Comedy club. Now we had 14 sign up to go so a little smaller group than normal but it would still be fun. Now some of us meet at Fox & Hound first and as Cassandra would not be going tonight as she is running the Portland Marathon tomorrow and has to be up early I started getting ready at 4:30 as I wanted to be ready to leave by no later than 6 so I could be there by 6:30.

I was ready to leave a little before 6 and as it only take 25 minutes I was right on schedule or at least that is what I thought. Turns out they had a really bad accident on the freeway and it was shut down which I didn’t know and I got caught in it. Turns out it took me a little over an hour to get there so I got there right at 7, of course there is a bright side as because it was after 7 I didn’t have to pay for parking. Now I normally always find parking on Everett but they had a wedding going on down there so I had to park further down 2nd so I had a 2 block walk but it was a nice sunny day and I enjoyed it.

I got to Fox & Hound and I was the first one there so I got a drink. I also set Lynn a text about the freeway so she could find an alternative route. Cristine showed up so we got a table to wait for the rest of the girls that show up early. Lynn and barb both showed up so there were 4 of us now. We all had a drink and talked waiting to see if anyone else would show up. Well about 8:20 the 4 of us left and walked over to Harvey’s, it’s a 7 block walk but it was a nice warm night and a good night for a walk, plus I wore my boots with 3″ heels so walking was easy.

We got to Harvey’s about 8:30 and there were only a few other people there and only Jan from our group so we got a table to wait for the show. Jeanie, Amy, Sophie, and Lorna showed up so we were up to 9. Kim our favorite came out and talked with us and to see how many we had. I told her to plan on 10 as that is what it was looking like.

More people came in and soon it was packed in the lounge with people waiting for the late show. About 9:20 I walked out and got our tickets. Well it was finally time for us to go into the show room and for some reason it was really slow going in. there was one big group of about 25 they were trying to get together. Well we finally got in Kim came and got us and brought us through the line so we got to walk by everyone. It was great she was here tonight as she was off last month when we were here.

The show finally started and the MC for the night was actually really good. Now the Headliner tonight is Dante Rusciolli who we have seen before and the opening comedian is Rebekah Kochan, turns out Rebekah is Dante’s girlfriend. Well Rebekah was the first to perform and she was really good, well worth seeing. Dante was next and he was awesome as always. If you get a chance to see them you really should.

We had a great time and as always it went to fast and soon the show was over. Kim came over and sat and talked with us for a while which was really nice and of course gave us all hugs as we left. Well after the show we walked through the Lounge as Dante and Rebekah were out there celebrating as it was also Dante’s birthday weekend. As we walked in Rebekah came over and hugged us all and thanked us for coming and so did Dante which made us feel good. We ended up staying and talking with them for maybe 15 minutes. Rebekah told me how much she liked my hair and soon she was showing us some pictures of her from a movie she did where she wore a long red wig. It was just a really fun night.

Well we left and walked back towards Fox & Hound where we had parked, it was still nice out so I was enjoying the walk. We got back by Fox and Hound and said our goodbyes and I walked to my car, it is amazing how at ease I am walking around. As I was getting into my car another car with 2 guys in it pulled in nest to mine. I was started my car and looked over and they were waving at me so I waved back. The driver actually blew me a kiss. I just waved again and backed out and drove off but I was thinking. I have had guys hit on me before but that was in person and I am sure they knew I was a t-girl. Now it was dark here and I am sure they didn’t get a good enough look to tell that so I am thinking they thought I was a GG. If that is true I wonder what they would have thought had they found out.

It was a really fun night. Now I need to start thinking about Halloween which is less than a month away and I need to come up with a costume. Any way thanks for reading.

Saturday night out at Harvey’s Comedy Club

Well Saturday night and time for some fun at Harvey’s Comedy Club. This is always a fun night out with the girls and I have really been looking forward to it as the last time I was able to go to Harvey’s was in November. Way to long. Well earlier in the day Samantha text me to see if I was going and if so could I give her, Coley and their boyfriends a ride which I said I could. I told her I would pick them up at 6:30ish. I was actually stopping at Staples to get black in this time for my printer.

I got to Staples at Cascade Station about 6:15 and yes I realized I was overdressed for shopping but it was really just a quick stop which I could have done the next day as my male self but what would have been the fun in that. I went inside and yes I was over dressed but there was only a few people in there so who cares. I found my printer ink and went to the checkout and the girl working there told me how nice my perfume was. I love getting compliments and it seems lately when I go out I am getting them more and more so my night was off to a good start.

Well I got to Samantha & Coley place and they came out and we managed to fit everyone in my car, yes I have a small car so we were all cozy especially with 3 in the back seat. We got downtown a little before 7 so I had to pay to park on the street till 7. It is funny as I seem to do this a lot when I go downtown. I use my credit card to pay as they take credit cards and for the 15 minutes it cost me a total of .45 cents. I have to wonder if they really make any money off of me when they pay the transaction fee and the cost of processing.

We got into Fox and Hound and Cassandra and Laura were the only 2 there so far. Well it turns out the 7 of us were the only ones who went to Fox & Hound before the show. We all had a drink and snacks and talked as we didn’t need to be to Harvey’s till 8:45. Well we had a good time and about 8:20 we decided to head over to Harvey’s which is only 6 blocks away. Now it was barely raining and of course I had my pink umbrella. It really wasn’t a bad walk although there was a wind which I found out I don’t like as it messes up your hair and blows it in your face. Don’t get me wrong Susan loves longer hair but in the wind it can be a little troublesome.

We got to Harvey’s Comedy Club and Cristine was there waiting for us and the fact we came a little earlier than normal there was no one else there so we had our choice of where to sit in the lounge as we waited for the early show to get over and ours to start. Well it wasn’t long and a few more people came in including Teresa, she was going to go to the show with us but she changes her mind as she had a friend that was coming into town to meet her so she hung out with us till we went into the show.

Well about 9 a man came in and he was most likely a homeless person and wanted to get warm and dry I guess, now this is the part that is stupid on his part. Instead of going to the back corner where he would not be visible and sitting quiet he picked a table right in the middle and actually pretty close to us and put his boots up on the table and then started banging them up and down on the table making all kinds of noise. It was almost like he was trying to draw attention to himself. Well a couple of the bar staff came over and told him to leave and of course he did nothing. Next Berry the owner came over and again told him to leave and when he wouldn’t Berry called the police on his cell phone. Now I would think any normal person would have left at this point but not this guy. Well Berry the owner stood there with his hands in his pocket waiting for the police, it seems like it was a while but really only a minute or 2 when the guy got up and moved towards Berry and Berry stepped back and the guy stopped and then lunged at Berry and the next thing we knew Berry had a hold of him and was pushing him out the door. Well of course Samantha and Coley Boyfriend Michael who were closest followed him out with Cassandra right behind them, Cassandra had her cell phone out and was videotaping the whole thing.

There was a brief struggle outside before the guy pulled away from Berry and then he came back after Berry again and Samantha was right behind Berry and as the guy got close Samantha pulled out her mace and got him right in the face which slowed him down and of course by this time the police were there. So it was an exciting show before the show even started.

It was finally time to go inside and of course Kim our favorite waitress was there and had our table all reserved for us. It was great to see her again as it has been 4 months since I have been here or seen her and of course she had hugs for us all. Harvey’s Comedy Club is really such an awesome place and they have always treated our group so wonderful. Well we all ordered drinks and food and waited for the show to start. Now Cristine and I were the first of our group to get to our table and a guy came over to talk with us, turns out him and his friend go to Sweethome on Friday nights sometime and reconized us so we talked with him for a while before he went back to his date. I bet that was a good topic of conversation he had with his date.

Well the show started and as always it was awesome. All 3 of the comedians were awesome, they have like a MC who gets maybe 10 minutes on stage and he was really good. The opening act was really funny and I can’t remember either of their name and Harvey’s only puts the headliner on their web page. The headliner name was Robert Duchaine and he was awesome, so funny. We all laughed so hard, I wish more of our group could have made it as they would have loved this show. If you get a chance to see him you must and if you are ever in Portland Oregon you must check out Harvey’s, you will have a great time.

Well after the show Berry came over and talked to us and thanks us for the help earlier. Then he told us that when the police took the guy down to the jail he got in a fight with the officers at the jail so there had to be a little something more going on with this guy. Any way we sat and talked with Berry and our Waitress Kim for maybe 10 minutes. What a great night.

Well we left to walk back to our cars and about a block away there were maybe 4 or 5 guys on the street and it looked like 2 of them were trying to fight and the others were trying to keep them apart. As we got closer we heard one say he would pull a knife so we turned a block early and went a different way back to our cars just to be on the safe side. Well when we got to our cars which was maybe only 5 minutes there must have been 6 police cars come screaming through the intersection by where we parked and they were heading in the direction we had just come from so we wondered if the two guys did finally get into the fight and that is where they were going. Now I only mention this to mind everyone to be careful when you go out and I am not just talking to t-girls but everyone, male, female, t-girl, young and old alike. Be aware of where you are, where you are going and who is around you as you never know what might happen.

Our group has gone out hundreds of times in downtown, walked the streets from place to place and never had a problem or seen anything like this and then tonight twice. Always think safety first. Any way we got to our cars and we all piled back into my small car and I drove Samantha, Coley, Michael and Samantha’s boyfriend, sorry I just can’t remember his name as I am blonde but he was really nice back to their place. I love being a blonde as I can always use that as an excuse for my little memory lapses.

It was such a fun night and sad to see it come to an end. We will miss next month as a lot of us will be in Las Vegas for Diva Las Vegas and we are all looking forward to it, it is such a fun week.

Thanks for reading and I hope you all had as fun of a weekend as Susan did.
