Halloween Party 2010

Well last night’s party was awesome. To start my costume was a female Robin Hood and very cute I thought. I took extra time getting ready and did a really good job on my eyes, more dramatic. Now on my way to the party I just had to stop at Albertson’s and pick up some veggie tray’s and candy. Now I know I could have gotten them earlier but what fun would that be. I wanted to go shopping in my costume as it was just too cute to not be out in public. I am sure I got a few looks but who cares it is Halloween.

I got to the party about 6:45 and there were already 20 people or more there and I thought I would be early. The house was all decorated for the party. Peggy had done a fantastic job and had a theme for each room. It was truly awesome and she way out did herself, great job Peggy and thanks. There was so much food and drinks Cassandra and Peggy threw a truly awesome party and me and all the girls in the group really really appreciated it. I hope they know how much, you two truly rock.

It was hard to tell how many people were there as some came and left early and others came late but the best guess would at least 75 to 80 maybe more. The costumes were all so great and fun and some were really good. We had Star Trek, Wizard of OZ, pirates, Vampires and so many more and of course there were so many pictures taken. I have posted my best pictures on my Flickr page and the rest on my Live profile. Please feel free to check them out.

There was even a costume contest and it was hard to pick which one you liked the best, of course I am a Star Trek fan so that was my vote. But really all the costumes were really cute, Peggy in her Pirates costume and there was another girl with a really cute Pirate costume which you can see in my pictures. Cassandra also had prizes for the best costumes. It was so much fun.

The highlight of the evening was Karaoke. Cassandra hired Suzanne, her and her husband do Karaoke at Embers on Sunday night. Her husband had another party he was doing. Suzanne was wonderful and made it so much fun. And I know the big question everyone is asking, Did I or didn’t I sing. Well the answer is yes even though I don’t drink so I was totally sober I put my name in and gave it a try. Sense we were at a private party and among friends I worked up the courage and sang Thank you for the music by ABBA. Here is a picture to prove it. It was actually fun although I don’t think I would do it out in public. And yes Cassandra also had prizes for best singing, best performance and worst singing, I can’t believe how much she did for this party and I hope she knows how much we all appreciated it. I didn’t win any prizes which was fine as it was just a fun night all around

I stayed till 1:45 and the party was still going maybe 25 girls still there. It was truly a fantastic night. This group, the Rose_City_T-girls is truly wonderful and are some of my best friends.

One last thing is a big big thanks to Cassandra and Peggy, you two are awesome and my best friends. Love you both

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween

Out at Starbuck’s

Well it is my normal Wednesday night out at Starbuck’s. So I will start with the most important thing, yes Susan has her Halloween costume. I went to several places over the weekend in boy mode looking at costumes and found some really cute ones but as I figured they are made for average to small females and just would not fit me. I did how ever find one that is pretty cute and does fit so I bought it and have already tried it on and everything is good so I am a go for the Halloween party Saturday night. I am really looking forward to it as last year was so much fun. I was thinking about it the other day, just a couple years ago Halloween was so fun because I could go out as Susan any place I wanted and no one even blinked an eye. Just being out as Susan made Halloween so much fun. Now I go out so often That Halloween needs more than just a dress, it needs a cute costume that Susan will look great in. It is funny how things have change. Any way I will be sure and get pictures and post them so check back after Halloween to read all about the party and see some pictures.

Well today was a good day as I got off work a little earlier so Susan had more time to get ready which is always fun and I actually left early with the hope of being to Starbuck’s by 6:30 but as luck would have it there was a wreck on the freeway which slowed traffic down. I got off the freeway before the wreck so it wasn’t that big of a delay, about 15 minutes so I still got here a little early. When I got here there was only one other person here so I had my choice of seats and got to pick a table closer to the front and more out in the open which is nice for people watching. Any way about 5 minutes before 7 people started coming in, one after another and by 7:15 most of the tables were taken so I guess everyone likes to get here about the same time I do. I may have to try to be a little earlier from now on.

A Strange thing happened yesterday on my Flickr account. Those who know me or have looked at my pictures know how much I like Acrylic nails, any way about a year ago someone invited me to post one of my pictures of my Acrylic nails in a Flickr group called nails which of course I did and I also joined the group. Any way I checked it a couple time after and there were only a couple pictures and 4 members including me. I forgot all about the group as it really wasn’t active, well yesterday I got an e-mail from the group informing me I am now an Administrator for the group and I was wondering why someone would do this so I logged onto the group and the message I got was that the person who started the group had left the group and there were only 2 members left and as I was the longest remaining member Flickr made me the Administrator. Well I have never planned on having a group but sense I seem to have inherited it I thought I would play with it and see what happens. I have got a few people to join and got some new pictures so we will see how it goes. If you like pretty nails you can check it out http://www.flickr.com/groups/acrylicnails/

Well it is starting to slow down now here as there are only about 10 other people here. It is so strange how relaxing it is to come to Starbuck’s and catch up on e-mails, update my blog and even chat on line sometimes with friends and I must not be the only one as 4 of the other 10 people are here also by themselves. One reading a book, another on an electronic book and the other 2 has their computers going. Till I started coming to Starbuck’s I never realized how many people come to a place like this. You see Starbuck’s everywhere plus other coffee places and I always wondered how they could possibly make enough money to stay open but they seem to draw the people in.

Any way must go for now, have a great week and thanks for readying my blog

P Club on 10-22-2010

Well it was another fun Friday night out for the group I belong to (rose_City_T-Girls). We had a couple members out of town namely Cassandra who founded our wonderful group so I wasn’t too sure how many would be out. There were a couple post in the group on where we wanted to go but no definite answer so late Friday a couple girls posted they would be at the P-club at 8 so I also posted I would be there and that was where the group should go. When I got home Friday checked the group and still only the 3 of us had posted so I really wasn’t expecting many which is still fun and gives you more time to talk and interact when there is a small group so all was good.

Normally on Friday nights I like to be out by 7:30 (little more Susan time) but as Barb and Cristine said they would be there at 8 that was what I planed which was actually nice as it gave me a little more time to get ready and I wasn’t rushed. I got there just before 8 and there parking lot was full so I had to park out on the street something I had not thought of as I have always been able to find a close parking spot but I guess that extra half hour made a difference. Anyway when I got inside Michele and Rita were already there and they really were not that busy except for a big party they had going on in the corner with about 20 woman. I ordered a drink and some tater tots and we sat and talked. It wasn’t long and Barb and Cristine showed up and our group was growing.

Fia was the next to show up, she is a new member of the group and very passible, this was only her second time out with the group. She usually goes out during the day as that is when she can get out the easiest. She joined in with the group and we all got to talk to her which is so nice. Fia and I talk for a while just like two girlfriends which is probably my favorite part of going out the social part of it. I am fine with going almost anywhere as long as I am with my friends. It was such a fun night and got to know her better. I hope she can come out again on another evening with the group

Maya showed up about 9 which was nice as she seems to be getting out more. She is always so fun. We got to talk a little but she was also on her phone as she was trying to give directions to her daughter on how to find the P-Club, they are new to the area. By this time we were playing pool and Susan had an awesome night as I won 5 out of 6 games of pool, okay two of them the other person scratched on the 8 ball but it is still a win. Maya and Barb play ping pong and Maya won, she played against a couple other people on the club and beat them also, she is really good at ping pong.

Maya’s daughter and husband showed up finally and they were just awesome, totally excepting of Maya and really all of us. She is also very pregnant and du any day now but that did not stop her and her husband from dancing several times. I even played her husband a game of pool which I won he scratched but it was a really close game as we were both on the 8 ball when he scratched.

About midnight our group started to thin out and girls started to leave which is always sad as it means the night is coming to an end. At this time Brook showed up in boy mode, didn’t really get a chance to talk with her. By 12:30 it was down to just Maya and her daughter and husband and I. Maya drug me out on the dance floor, now I am not a dancer and feel really out of place but I tried and can you believe it I broke a nail, well actually Maya squeezed my hand so hard one of my nails popped off in her hand. So now I was missing a nail. When we got back to the table I put my nail in my purse and Maya was looking at her hand and was also missing a nail, I guess dancing is a rough sport so be careful out on the dance floor girls. It was probably 12:45 when we left. Outside I did get a chance briefly to talk with Brook which was nice.

In all it was a fun night and we had a pretty good turn out even with Cassandra out of town which was nice. It is good that the group still is active even when some of the main members are gone, it just shows how wonderful this group is and what good friends we have become. Well I must go as I must figure out what Susan wants to be for Halloween and go get it as I now only have 1 week, nothing like putting it off till the last minute.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween

Saturday Night at Harvey’s Comedy club

Well I went out on Saturday night with the girls from my group Rose_City_T-Grils. Cassandra got tickets to Harvey’s Comedy club and it is always fun so I managed to trade to get off work so I could go.

We started off by meeting at Oasisba Asian Fusion & Bar (1639 NW Glisan), I have never been there but some of the girls have been. They remodeled a few weeks ago and put a small stage in. the waitresses are transgender and also perform on the stage. Phaedra one of the Drag queens who use to work at Embers works here now, she is also a member of our group so she invited us. We met there at 6 pm which is early for me but somehow I made it by 6. Phaedra greeted me as I came in and we put some tables together as I was not sure how many would make it. As it turned out we had 9 that showed up. Victoria, Petra, Cassandra, Peggy, Teresa, Wilma, Mira, Roxy and I were all there and we sat with Phaedra’s mom as she was in town to visit her daughter. Some had dinner the rest of us just some drinks. Now I am not a big fan of spicy food so I chose not to eat here but don’t let that be how you judge them. Several of the girls said the food was really really good so if you do like Asian food please give them a try. The atmosphere is really nice and they have a big mirror on the back wall so you can watch the show no matter which way you are facing. In all it was a nice place to go for dinner and a show.

From here we went down to Casey’s which is a small bar just around the corner from Embers. The plan was to meet here at 7:30 as the second stop on our night out. When we got here Jan, Lyn, Cristine and Barb were there and our group was almost complete. Now I have been here once before and it has a nice atmosphere but is mainly a bar, they do have a pool table and I think they do have some food but not sure as we didn’t eat here. A few of the girls did play some pool but most of us just talked. We stayed here till a little after 9 and then we all walked the 8 blocks down to Harvey’s. A little chilly but fun to see a group of us walking down the street.

We got to Harvey’s and got our tickets and went in to the bar to wait till the doors open for the 10 PM show. We only had to wait about 15 minutes till they started seating us for the show. They had a good crowd so we couldn’t all go in at the same time. Cristine was the first one in and told them we had a group of 16 so they got us 4 tables together which was nice as being in one big group is always more fun. Wendy and Nadine showed up to meet us at Harvey’s, Wendy was in boy mode and took me a minute to realize who she was of course if she had been with her wife Nadine when I first saw her I would have know instantly. So we actually had 15 for the show and wow I am so proud of myself, as I remembered everyone by name so I guess I am getting better at putting faces to names.

Now Harvey’s is pretty nice but there prices are a little high but then again you are getting a really good show so I guess it is not that bad. I was a little hungry so Barb and I split an order of chicken tenders, as I said a little bit pricey but was really good. The main Comedian was Dante and he had to opening acts, one of which was his girlfriend. The shows were really good and Dante was probably the best which makes sense as he was the headliner. He was also the comedian the first time we went there last winter so of course some of the jokes we had heard before. If you have never seen his show at the end he does some impersonations and they are awesome. I would highly recommend going to his show if you get the chance and as for Harvey’s a really nice place to go for good entertainment. After the show Cassandra and Wilma talked with Dante for a bit and on the way out his girlfriend talked to me and a couple others. They were very nice and thanked us for coming which was really nice.

As we left for our walk back there was two girls and a guy outside and one of the girls wanted to get a picture with me and of course Susan never turns down a photo opt so we posed while her friend took a couple pictures and of course I had to dig out my camera so I could have a picture. She thanked me for taking a picture with her. I have posted the picture as it has been awhile sense I posted a new picture. Not a really great one as my flash didn’t work, low batteries but still a new picture.

The walk back was a lot chillier then the walk there as it was after midnight when the show ended but still a fun night. We got back and all said our goodbyes. I gave Roxy a ride to her car as she had some new shoes, 4″ heels and after the 8 blocks back to Casey and then 2 more to where Cassandra and I had parked she still had 5 more blocks and we didn’t want her walking downtown by herself at that time of night, not a good idea for anyone, male or female. It was a really fun night.

A big thanks to Cassandra for getting the tickets.

Friday night @ P-club talk should you tell your spouse.

Well another fun Friday night out with my friends. This week we all went to the P-club formerly known as Portsmouth. They changed their name and menu to try to bring in more business. They still have good food but I liked their pizza and especially their cheesy bread better. As for business they did seem busier then they have been in the past although can’t say for sure if it was the name change and new menu, only time will tell on that. I got there about 7:40 and Cassandra, Wilma, Michele and Steph were already there and had a couple tables over by the pool tables so I joined them. So nice to go out and know your friends will be there. By 8 Cristine and Chris had shown up and that was it for our group, one of our smaller turnouts, not sure why although Saturday night 16 of us are going to Harvey’s comedy club again for their show so maybe some decided to go out on Saturday night instead. I got lucky and was able to call in a favor and get someone to cover me for Saturday night so I will also go out and enjoy the comedy club which is always fun. Although we didn’t have a big turnout it was nice as it made it easier to chat with everyone in the group and we could all join in on one conversation.

I got a chance to talk a little with Steph, she is new to the group joined about 6 months ago and this was her first time out with the group although she has gone out before on her own. She seemed really nice and I hope she continues to come out and join us. Her only hold back is her wife does not know so she can’t get out as often as she would like. We played some pool and I won a game against Cassandra, well she scratched on the 8 ball but it still counts as a win. My next game against Michele I lost but came close to winning. We did have fun but didn’t play as much pool as normal instead we had some good conversation you know girl talk and what could be more fun. Some of the conversation was pretty involved from politics to Dinosaurs to outer space and UFO; I know not what you would expect us to talk about but still fun. Probably the most interesting conversation was around how some of the girls told their partners and if and when you should tell so I thought I would give my thoughts on this.

Now just so everyone knows I am not married but hope to some day and I did come close a couple times, so please keep in mind I have never truly faced telling a spouse. Now for me my dressing was not the reason I broke up with anyone and although I never told any of the woman I dated I did hint at it to gage how they might react as for me I would have to tell the woman I was going to marry beforehand. Of course that is what I know and believe now as I know I will never stop being Susan part time, she is part of me and what make me who I am.

Now some of the girls in the group have come out to their wives and as you would expect some went really well and others did not and ended in divorce which is sad but something you must be aware of if you plan on telling your spouse. There are also those who never tell their spouses, we have a few girls in our group that only come out when their wives are out of town and this works for them. I guess the big question is how much of a part of your life is being a t-girl. For me a couple years ago going out 3 to 4 times a year and dressing around the house when I could was fine and I was happy. Now the time I dress at home is nice but nothing like going out and twice a week works wonderful for me, for one it breaks up my week and helps relax me and gives me something to really look forward to which I believe is healthy for a person. Everyone has their own needs and has to decide if and when they want to tell their souse and I guess the biggest factor would be how much this impacts your spouse. Now for me what I feel would be right for my life is this and remember this is my opinion only and how it applies to me.

When I was younger I thought if I met that right person I would stop being Susan, now I know that won’t happen. For a brief while I thought I would just hide it and only dress occasionally but Susan is too big a part of my life to do that so I would feel I have to tell them before. But when, before the marriage, engagement or early on in dating. Well I guess as time has passed for me it has gotten earlier in the relationship. Now right now I am not seeing anyone so it is easy for me to say this. For me I would think early in my relationship would be best, not as soon as I meet the person but once you feel there could be something more permanent between me and her. That is when I think (would want to) tell her if I didn’t chicken out. The reason for me are these, do I want to put the effort and work into a relationship (relaitionionships take a lot of work if they are going to last) on to find at some point something I hid ended it, seems like a waste of time. Also for me Susan would have an impact on any woman I might be involved with as Susan is as much a part of my life and who I am as my male self and I know that will always be so just hiding her in the closet would not work for me. so right now not being involved with anyone I think I would tell them as soon as I felt we were getting to be more than just friends, easy to say right now.

The last reason is the biggest and that is fear of this part of my life getting out. Now it is true once you tell someone you have no control over who finds out, but early on in the relationship I think would be better. First you are being honest and open and the woman I am seeing would not have that deep involvement yet so there wouldn’t be the hurt feelings as much as if you wait till later. Now don’t get me wrong she will either hate this part of which I am, tolerate it or maybe hopefully like it but whatever the outcome I think earlier is better. Early in the relationship she can decide if she can live with this part of me or walk away. Once you get deep into the relationship or even get married she may feel trapped or that if you lied about this else have you lied about and if there is a break up she is way more likely to tell people about this part of my life. Early in relationships that end most people don’t even bother with the question why and usually the answer is “well it just wasn’t right or we needed different things”. On the other hand in divorces everyone usually plays the blame game as you have friends together you are trying to keep, maybe children and of course the money and property so if you can blame the other person and make yourself look the best that is what you do. I really believe in this situation anyone would tell as the goal is make the other person look bad.

So I guess for me my best hope would be meet a woman while I am out as Susan that way she knows from the start but I realize this probably won’t happen and with that said Right know I plan on telling any woman I might date as soon as I feel we may have something long term. I would love to hear from others and see what their thoughts are and how you have dealt with this in your life as it might give me a better understanding on marriage as I have never been married yet. Would also love input from any genetic woman out there as you are the ones who really hold the key to understanding this issue for me.

Have a wonderful weekend all. One last thing, someone found the link to the t-girl group I belong to and joined from my blog which is wonderful so I thought I would put the link again Rose_City_T-Girls in case anyone else would like to join. Please check it out and read the membership requirements as there are not many but they are enforced.

Wednesday 10-13-10 at Starbucks

Well it is Wednesday and of course I am out at my Favorite Starbuck’s. It is that time of year now that it is getting colder at night so of course now Susan has to take her little jacket with her when she goes out. I really need to get me a nice winter coat for Susan this year.

Well onto the big thing on my mind, Halloween. It is just 18 days away and I still have no costume or even an idea of what I want to be. I also am getting busy again at work and will probably miss next Wednesday and the last Friday of the month as I traded that night to get Saturday night the 30 off to go to a party at Cassandra and Peggy’s house. They go all out for these parties and ask nothing in return. I will of course bring some snacks like a veggie tray or something and maybe something to drink plus give me a good excuse to go into a store in my costume that is if I can come up with something. I know I could dress up as a girl, wait I already do that so not such a good idea. Well still have some time.

It is strange thinking back a few years when all I could think about was Halloween as it was a chance to be Susan and go out, now I go out so much as Susan that I really want a cute costume and not just dressing up feminine. My how things have changed for Susan. So I guess I will pose a question to those of you who read my blog. For those who are in the gender community do you dress up in costumes or just use Halloween as an excuse to go out in you female (or male for t-guys)? For years Halloween was Susan’s biggest night of the year and now it is the nights I get out with all my friends so in that way Halloween has lost a little of the fun for me, don’t get me wrong it is still probably my favorite holiday but the reasons have changed. Any way would love to hear what your thoughts are on Halloween plus if you have any ideas for costumes please feel free to post them.

Well back to my night here, Starbucks has been pretty steady and most of the tables have people at them. It still amazes me how busy they are especially with all the coffee shops around. There are so many and I admit I drive by probably 6 other Starbucks to get to this one. I know what you are thinking why drive so far, well at first I wanted to go away from where I lived as I really didn’t want to run into anyone I know, which by the way I have here twice now but they didn’t notice me or at least didn’t say anything about it to me. But more than that is the fact that the girls who work at this one are all so awesome and treat me really well right down to remembering what I like to drink. Maybe I should order something different sometime just to throw them off, you know change it up a little. Now to be honest every Starbucks I have gone to I have been treated well and just like any other customer but as I have come here so many times over the last year and know most of the girls (not by name) but still there is a comfortable safe feeling here and that really means a lot. There has been a lot of talk lately in my group here (Rose_City_T-Girl) about places to go where we feel safe or wanted. Seems there were some other issues at the Candlelight, I guess some threats were made against us by a couple of the customers and even a bottle thrown at one of our group. I didn’t know about this and it has made our whole group rethink going there. Now I am the first to stand up and say we shouldn’t be chased off but when it comes to personal safety one must really think about the benefit to reward and is it worth it. There are so many places we can go where we are accepted and even wanted. The bad thing is the Candlelight was a fun place to go and we always had fun there. Any way enough about that.

I guess I should also give a pitch for our T-girl group, Rose_City_T-Girls. It is such a fun group and really has some awesome members. If you are transgender (Crossdresser, t-girl, transsexual, the significant other or just an admirer of transgender) and live in the Portland/Vancouver metro area of Oregon or travel here you are welcome to join. The only rule is you must have a face picture either on a yahoo profile (yahoo group) or be willing to send in a picture to post in the group photo which is only viewable by members if privacy is a concern. Now I am not sure of the total makeup of the group right now as we now have 168 members but ruff guess would be 10 to 15 significant others, 10 admirers and maybe 5 just friends of members and the rest transgender in one way or another. Feel free to check out the main page (all you can see without being a member) the main page tells you about the group and more information on joining. The group has helped so many to come out more including me. 3 years ago I was lucky to get out 4 or 5 times a year and was always nervous and now it is twice a week and I feel pretty relaxed most of the time. Having a support group is awesome. If you don’t live in the area see if there is a group where you live as it really will make a difference, if not why mot start one where you live. Our group was started by Cassandra 3 years ago as a way to bring t-girls together and have a way to know when and where others would be out so you didn’t have to worry about going out and being by yourself. What a simple and wonderful idea she had and we all are so grateful she did this.

Well I need to catch up on some other things here before they close for the night. I hope you all have a great week and thanks so much for reading my blog.

Friday night at Easy Street 10-8-2010

Well it was another fun night out for Susan. We decided to go back to Easy Street. Seems that the Candle light has had more problems than I was aware of, as it seems some threats were made and even a bottle thrown at one of the girls in the group. This is not to reflect on the candle light itself as they took care of it and escorted them out but it still brings up safety issues which none of us want. We all know anyplace we go will have issues, some won’t like us or want us there and we can deal with that but safety must always come first, male or female it does not matter.

Anyway as I said we went to Easy Street and had a fun time and we had a great turnout from our group. I lost count and would never remember everyone who was there but I bet it was upwards of 25. It was kind of funny as I bet there were no more than 6 other people at any one time there that weren’t part of our group. Any way I got there at 7:30 so I was on time for once and Cassandra, Teresa and Wilma had just got there and Amy, Mia and one of her friends followed me in so right from the start we had a good turnout.

They had no band so that may have been why it was so slow. It is kind of a catch 22 we are a huge part of their business right now and we all feel very safe there but if business picks up for them and we become a smaller presence will we feel as safe and if business does not pick up for them will they stay in business or will we lose them as a place to go. Now from talking to the employees there and Jodi who manages it we will always be welcome by them but customers are another issue as we learned from the Candlelight. So I guess that being said I will give them a plug, if you live In Portland give them a try. They are on Powell about the 6600 block. The club that was there closed down last year and they have really fixed it up nice inside and have a pool table and ping pong on nights the band is not there.

It was nice to see Teresa out again as she has been working some really long hours this summer which is good for her as with the economy you need to work when you can but it also limited her time out. I had a good chance to talk to her and catch up on things you know a little girl talk. I also talked to Cassandra she commented on the pictures on Diva Las Vegas web page from this year and how many we were in. seems we both like our picture taken. Anyway Cassandra and Peggy are interested in going again this coming year and you all know I plan on going if I can work the time off from work. We also talked to Teresa about going and I think she will if she can get time off work also. She had planned on going last year but was off work so long and then started right before Diva Las Vegas and had to cancel. Cassandra and I think it would be a blast if we got maybe 10 girls from our group to go this coming year. The thing great about Diva Las Vegas is it is what you make of it, you can spend as much or as little dressed and you can be out in public or limit it to the diva Las Vegas activities so something for everyone. Diva Las Vegas a attracts transgender people from all over the world so it is really a fun place to meet new people and the only cost you have is for what you want to do, no fees to attend. Well I guess that is my pitch for Diva Las Vegas.

Well again back to Friday at Easy Street. Brook made it out as Brook, first time in a long while so it was great to see her as herself. It was funny as we both wore black dresses, we could have been sisters accept for the color of our hair and the fact we don’t look alike, small details. Took a few pictures of us as this girl is a total camera hog. If there is a camera around Susan will be close. Brook looked so relaxed and at easy I could tell she has really missed being able to express this side of her. I really hope she can get out more. It is so hard to suppress part of yourself for any reason and I know from my own experience when I go for periods of time without being able to express Susan the stress level raises for me.

Victoria showed up with Julie and Valerie, I have never met Valerie before so it was nice to meet someone new and she seemed really nice. Victoria did both their makeup, she runs over the rainbow transformation which does transformations for transgender people and she does an awesome job. Again another shameless plug, if you are in Portland and looking for help looking more feminine or just some help check out her web page and give her a call. Both girls looked great.

About 11 or so some of the girls headed over to the E room as this is there last weekend open; they are closing due to lack of business. They wanted to dance and sense easy Street didn’t have a band there was no dancing. So our group split up and some stayed and played pool and talked (I was in this group as I am not a dancer). I played a couple games of pool and won against Cassandra which is always a highlight of the night as she is so good at pool, and yes I won not like other times where I just got lucky, I had a really good game.

Well a little after midnight we broke out the giant Jenga blocks and started t play. We had such a big group around including the bar tenders girlfriend who by the way was just as awesome as the women who work there. The first game I think we had 9 people and Brook brought it all tumbling down, I was just glad it wasn’t me. One of the GG’s at the table next to us who were there before we got there came over and took a couple pictures of the game. When we started the second game we invited them to play and they joined us. We had a great time and according to the bartenders girlfriend the record for the bar was 28 rows high and when we (robin) finally knocked it over we had 1 of 3 blocks on the 28 row so we tried the record, how cool is that for a bunch of amateur t-girls. It was a really fun night and when we left it was almost 2 am. Such a fun night.

Wednesday 10-6-2010

Well it is another Wednesday night out at Starbuck’s. I have been looking forward to this for a few days now. Work is still really busy so I worked extra today and got home late so I had to rush again to get Susan ready and out the door. Actually I didn’t rush that much so was a little late getting he, the big thing is once again I left home without my jewelry and noticed it when I was on the freeway so I didn’t go back for it so Susan feels a little incomplete. It is strange as a guy I hate rings and even my watch on my wrist bothers me if it is loose but Susan loves her rings and bangle bracelets. Like so, any things in this part of my life I can’t explain an better than the way I feel. I still get asked all the time why I like to be Susan and dress up as her and the only explanation I can give is I enjoy it and it relaxes me.

People like to be able to understand thing and have reasons but for me there is no underlying reasons other than relaxing. It is such a simple answer and people feel there should be more to it and I am sure for some there is but for me it is relaxation and a chance to get away from my normal life, kind of a mini vacation. If you can’t understand this try being someone else for a few hours, you do not have to dress just make up another person to be. I have met so many wonderful friends as Susan, mostly through our yahoo group Rose_City_tigirls which Cassandra started a few years back as a way for us to meet and get to know others who share our hobby (for some it is a way of life). But either way we have a way to now when and where others will be so we don’t have to go out alone if we don’t want. Cassandra has done a wonderful job with this group. I would encourage everyone if there is a group to join like this one so worth it and if not try to create one. Some of our girls never came out till they joined the group and got to know others. It would be so great to see other yahoo groups across the country just like our group here.

Any way it is not as busy here tonight as last week but still more than a few months ago. I think their business is picking up which is good as I would hate to see this one closed for lack of business. Susan really like to come here and feels so comfortable here. Just a really nice place with wonderful people working here. It was a beautiful day out today mid 70’s, but nights are really starting to cool off so I brought my little jacket as it will be chilly when I leave tonight. It seemed so strange for it to be dark by 7. I am not looking forward to the winter as that means colder and shorter days.

Well moving on. There are only a few weeks to Halloween and I need to come up with a costume for a Halloween at Cassandra & Peggy’s house. They are hosting another party. They are so great as they have opened their house for several parties over the last two years. I really hope they know how much the group appreciates this; they are really two awesome people. They have even hired someone to come in and do karaoke for the night and have prizes for several things. Now I am not sure I will attempt to sing as I have terrible stage fright. When I did the t-girl pageant I was so scared to be out in front of people. It really does not make any sense as I am a guy who can dress up as a woman and go out and not think twice about it but put me on a stage Male or female and I am worried what people will think. Any way back to my costume. Last year I knew what I wanted to be (Wonder Woman) and it still took me time to find a costume that fit, this year I have no idea so I am really behind the eight ball on this. If anyone has ideas feel free to forward them to me as I need all the help I can get. I would like something really cute and maybe sexy.

Well it has slowed down here and I have got all caught up on the work I needed to do and even had a little time to just surf the internet so it has been a good night. I will post again this weekend as I will once again be out Friday night. I think we are going to the Candlelight again but won’t know for sure till tomorrow. One last thing Cassandra is running the Portland Marathon this weekend, wow 26 mile’s what an accomplishment as she only started running around the first of the year. Way to go Cassandra. I would have a hard time running a mile right now but that is one of my goals to start running again as I need to get in shape and loose some wait. Any way hope you all have a great rest of the week.

Hugs

Friday night at Easy Street

Well I made it out again Friday night. The last couple weeks have been so busy and I so look forward to my Susan time to get away for a while and relax. I took my time getting ready so I could really enjoy it. Not sure how many others enjoy the time we girls spend getting all pretty from the shower right through the makeup and putting on our cute cloths and heels but for me this is all part of the experience and I enjoy it all. Now to be total fair maybe if I did this every day of my life and spent the hour and a half every day I may not feel the same but I really doubt it as I love it so much and the look when I am done is so worth the time.

Well I had told friends I would be at Easy Street by 7:30 and as I took a little longer getting ready I was running late so I rushed getting dressed and was out and driving down the street. I was about a mile from home when I noticed I forgot my bracelets and ring. Now I didn’t want to be any later and really didn’t want to have to go back home as it would mean driving through my neighborhood 2 more times once going home and once leaving but I just had to have my jewelry so I turned around and went home. I pulled into my garage and got out and ran into the house, only took a couple minutes and I was back out to my car. I left the garage door open so the houses across the street could have seen me but it looked like they weren’t home. soon I was out on my way and now later than I wanted. I got to Easy Street about 7:45 so I really wasn’t that late and I am sure none of my friends even noticed but I hate when I am late someplace.

Anyway as I said in my last blog about Easy street they do not have a lot of parking and so I ended up parking about a half block up on the street. Not too bad as it is a residential neighborhood but it also does not have really good street lights so a girl must be really careful. I got inside and Cassandra, Maya, Cristine and Michele were already there. Now the staff here is awesome and so welcoming, they always say hi and treat us great; as a matter of fact Jodi the woman who runs Easy Street invited us when the Candlelight asked us to come there a little less so they actually want us there which is really nice. Jodi even introduced herself to us all and learned our names what a way to make one feel welcome.

Soon Roxy and Chris showed up so we moved from our both to some tables so we would have more room. We all ordered some food; I got the fish and chips which are really good. A couple got some pizza and even some hot wings and everyone thought their food was good so there you go; they have great food according to the T-girl food network. Cass started a list for pool and we all put our names on it. Even some of the regulars did including a husband and wife (who by the way was named Susan also). She was at ease with us but her husband was a little uneasy at first but a couple of the girls were talking about boats and he came over and joined in and soon he was sitting at our table and having a good time. they were really two awesome people

The band started a little after 9 and that would be the one bad point they have as they do not have a lot of room and with the band playing you could not hear anyone to talk but the music was really good. I guess if you wanted to talk we could have gone to the other end away from the band but the pool table was over by the band and that was what had the group’s attention.

A little later Amber, Jan and Lynn showed up and joined us but with the music we really couldn’t talk. Some were dancing maybe at one point 10 but mostly small groups and mostly woman but then again there dance area is not that big but they all appeared to be having a good time.

Brook showed up (in boy mode) and it was nice to see her again. She is so busy working two jobs she hardly ever gets time to go out let alone as Brook. We got to talk a little during the bands break. She really misses her time out as Brook and I can totally relate as I know how I feel if I miss my Susan time especially for a long period but a girl has to do what a girl has to, to make ends meet and buy her all those pretty cloths, heels and makeup. any way it was a fun night as usual, anytime I can spend with my good friends is fun.

If you have never been to the Easy Street you should give them a try, they are located at 6618 SE Powell Blvd Portland Oregon 97206. They are your friendly neighborhood bar and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A big thanks to Jodi and all the staff there, you are all so awesome and look forward to getting to know you all better.

Well the band stopped playing about 1 am and we stayed just a little while longer playing pool and talking. Got a good chance to talk with Jan and Lynn finally which is nice, Jan even won a few games of pool at the end. Jodi came over and thanked us all for coming and invited us back.

It was sad to see our evening come to an end but we were all getting really tired as it has been a long day so we all said our goodbyes and off we went home. not sure where we will be next Friday as it is our night to go to the Candlelight but there is talk about skipping it because of them asking us not to come as often. Now I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand do we really want to go someplace that would rather we didn’t and spend our money there supporting them which is a valid point. On the other side should we let them chase us off? Both equally valid concerns but the point that sticks out in my mind is that most of the staff at the candlelight like us and treat us well and for the most part most of the customers there are okay with us some even look forward to us being there, as one said we bring a breath of fresh air. I guess I would still like to see us go there every once in a while as everyone always seems to have a good time there but I will go with the group as it is being out with my friends which is most important no matter where we go. I guess as it will be torn down next year to make way for the college to expand it really won’t be an issue then.

Any way I hope you all have as great week and thanks for reading and commenting on my blog. Last month I had over 1100 views which just blows my mind.

Bye J

Oh one last note Diva Las Vegas posted the pictures from Diva Las Vegas 2010 so you can check them out and yes there are pictures of me, Cassandra and Peggy there.
