Cristine celebration of life

Tonight Saturday February  11, 2017 our group is having a celebration of life for our dear friend Cristine who passed away on February 2 2017. She has been one of our groups longest and supportive members over the last 10 years. It will be hard but we want tonight to be a celebration for her. Cassandra and Peggy are hosting it at their home which so wonderful of them, thanks so much.

Now the celebration is from 7 to 11 but I was going to get there early to see if I can help Peggy and Cassandra set up. Now I started getting ready early so I could be on my way by 5. I got there just about 6 Peggy was finishing up getting everything out and Cassandra and Veronica were all ready. Now I am not even going to try and name everyone here tonight as we had over 30 show up to remember and celebrate Cristine life. NO I did walk around and 20170211_190449take pictures as I wanted to make sure and get a picture of everyone who was there, I did miss several people though so hopefully Cassandra got the as she was also taking pictures. I set my phone on a shelf in the dining room so I could get it easy when I saw new people come in. Now I did manage to get one selfie of myself.

Now by 7 there were a lot of people who had showed up but people would be coming all evening long, some came early and left and others later it was really wonderful to see so many friends here and even some of Bobbie’s family showed up t support him which was wonderful.

Now the food that Peggy and Cassandra had was wonderful, all finger type food, chips, dips, meat balls and of course wonderful cupcakes and brownies. It was awesome and of course I did eat more than I should have especially the desserts. Yes I have a weakness for sweets.

Now Cassandra had a bunch of pictures of Cristine on her TV, 100’s of pictures of her and of course pictures of her with us her family. In a way it was like she was with us all night long. I kept finding myself watching the pictures of her and there were a few time I got a little choked up but we didn’t want this to be a sad event.

I did get to talk with everyone here at one point or another so it was a good night. Even got to meet a few new girls that Victoria brought out. One of them Michelle will be going to Diva Las Vegas, her first time so I will see her again there. By the way we booked our rooms for Diva Las Vegas, we will be staying at the California Hotel Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, it is one of the Boyd Gaming casinos. They have 3 hotel casinos downtown. One of the things if you go to Las Vegas get a players card if you gamble as you do get some good comps. There were lots of Pictures of Cristine when we were in Las Vegas in years past for Diva Las Vegas. We really did share some wonderful times over the years, so many wonderful memories. Even though she is gone from this world she will always be with us in our hears and memories.

By 11 people were leaving and we were down to a smaller group about 15 and we were standing in the kitchen talking about all the wonderful times we had with her. I had planed on leaving at 11 but I just couldn’t bring myself to leave. I really wanted to be with my friends tonight. It will make for a short night but it is worth it. We talked for over an hour. I was looking through the pictures from last night and decided to try and list everyone I can that was there, Veronica, Bambi, Kris, Cassie, Kim, Peggy, Cassandra, Cindy and her wife Alice, Teresa, Laura M, Laura H, Lisa, Bobbie, his Sister and Partner, brother and his wife, A couple of his friends, Chris, Roxy, Melissa, Sophie and her wife Lorna, Barb, Kate, Michelle, Jan, Lynn, Marla and her girlfriend, Jamie and her girlfriend, Amber, Shadow, Victoria and a couple of t-girls she brought out for the night, and I am sure I have missed some. Thanks to all who showed up tonight, Cristine would have loved it.

It was 12:15 when I called it a night, I have a 45 minute drive home so it will be about 1 am when I get home which is the latest I have been up in a long time. On the drive home I had a chance to reflect on the evening, I was thinking about the times I had been out with Cristine and even though it would be late when I got home I was going to post the pictures of the night on our groups Facebook page. it is funny as I was about half way home when I was thinking about the pictures when I realized I had left my phone with all the pictures on the shelf at the party so I had to turn around and head back and hope Cassandra was still up. That is the one bad thing about cell phones as if you lose the or just leave them someplace you are really cut off. I couldn’t even call and let them know I was on my way back.

It was about 12:50 when I got back and luckily Cassandra and Veronica were still up cleaning the kitchen of course Cassandra had cleaned up and was back to her male self. I didn’t stay long just enough to get my phone. I was so glad they were still up and I didn’t have to wake them up to get my phone. This is the first time I have left my phone someplace, not a good feeling. Needless to say it was after 1:30 am when I got home so it really was a late night. The pictures will have to wait till Sunday now as I needed to get to bed.

Thanks to Cassandra and Peggy for hosting such a wonderful event and opening their home to us all. and also for all those who showed up for Cristine.

Relaxing and fun Saturday for Susan

Well today is Saturday and I have been looking forward to today for weeks. I am getting a pedicure today at 3 and going to Harvey’s Comedy Club tonight so I also thought I would go out early and maybe do some shopping or find a Starbucks for an hour or two first. Awesome plans but as always things don’t always work out as planned. By that I mean I was running late as things kept coming up and before I knew it, it was after 2 and I finally ready. Now I was meeting Peggy for pedicures at 3, I left my house at 2:10 and the Nail salon, Glamorous Nails (17475 Sw Farmington Rd. Aloha (503) 848-8259) is a 45 minute drive so I had just enough time to get there as long as I didn’t hit traffic so no shopping today.

I have been looking forward to getting g a pedicure for a long time; my last one was last fall. They are so relaxing if you have never had one you really need to try it. Well I got there just before 3 and Peggy was just pulling in. well we went in and they were busy, there were 5 women all getting pedicures so we had to wait a little. It is a good thing we made an appointment. Peggy and I went over and looked at the nail polish and picked out our colors. Now I love red and almost always choose a red color but being summer I picked a color called “That’s Berry Daring” which I thought would be a good summer color. Well it was a little after 3 when we got in the chairs and the one lady started on Peggy’s feet but the lady doing mine was still finishing up another lady so I just sat and soaked my feet for a few more minutes.

She finally finished and came over to me and said she was sorry I had to wait which really was no big deal. She has done my nails before and also removed my acrylic nails for me so she remembers me by name actually all the woman working here do which makes you feel special. Well for the next 45 minutes they trimmed our nails, scrubbed the bottoms of our feet, messaged our feet and calves, put lotion on and rubbed it in and then finish off with a hot towel. It really is the best 45 minutes you can have. The whole time Peggy and I were talking and sitting in a chair that messages your back. It is such an enjoyable time and having Peggy there made it all the better as it is always so much more fun to go with someone else.

  • Well it was time for the nail polish, now if I had doubts about the color as soon as she put it on they went away as it was an awesome color and perfect for summer. It really is a shame I don’t go barefoot so everyone can see them. Really the only time they are visible is when I am out as Susan and have open toe heels on and then it is seen through my nylons as my legs really need nylons to look good. Other than that it is just me who sees them at home but trust me they are gorgeous. Women are so lucky to be able to do this all the time and show them off. After she had put the color but before the top coat she said she was going to paint a little flower on my nail for free because I had to wait which again I told her was not problem. Any way she painted this little flower on each of my big toes and then did the same for Peggy. It is so cute, I have never had the nail art as I said no one other than me would really see it but now that I have it I really like it. She finished it off with a top coat and then all that was left was to let them dry. They were still really busy as people kept coming in to get pedicures and some were told they would have to come back as they only had 5 ladies working. It is a good thing we had an appointment. Here is a picture of the flower on my toes; there will be more pictures at the end of the blog.

Well it was about 4:15 when we left all the ladies there said goodbye to me by name which again made me feel welcome. I went over to Peggy’s as I was going to change there into my dress and freshen up for going out tonight plus Peggy also needed to get ready and she only lives about 5 minutes from this nail salon. Teresa stopped by so the 3 of us sat around and talked for a while and before I knew it, it was 6:10 and we hadn’t got ready yet. It was a quick transformation well really all I needed was to change clothes and touch up my makeup so I was ready by 6:30. I drove myself as I would leave for home from Harvey’s and Peggy road with Teresa.

I got downtown right at 7 and found parking close to Fox & Hound, Laura and Cristine were already there. It wasn’t long and others started to show up. Trisha and her wife showed up which was awesome as they have not been out with the group for a long time as they don’t get to Portland as often as they and we would like. It was great to spend some time with them and catch up on what is new; this was going to be a fun night. Peggy, Teresa, Julie, Trixy, Melissa, Jan and Lynn all showed up at Fox & Hound so we would have a huge group walking the 7 blocks to Harvey’s.

It was a nice summer evening perfect for walking so we left about 8:30 and went over to Harvey’s for the 10 o’clock show. We got there early enough that we found tables in the lounge so we didn’t have to stand plus we did not need to be first in line as we come here every month and know the people including our awesome waitress Kim. She always waits on us and we text her ahead of time and she makes sure we have tables reserved so we can all sit together.

Well we got inside for the show and found our tables and Kim came over and greeted all of us with a hug. She told me she loved my hair and asked if I had just got it done which made me feel good as she couldn’t tell it was a wig, the lighting is dim inside the show room. The show started and both the opening comedian and headliner were awesome and as another blonde moment I cannot think of their names but we laughed so hard. Harvey’s really does get some great comedians and if you are ever in Portland or live nearby you should go and check them out as it is a super fun night.

Well as always the show went by so fast and it was time to leave. We had 16 of us there for the show tonight. Kim our waitress came out and took a picture of us and texted it to Cassandra who couldn’t make it tonight. She gave us all hugs goodbye and told me it was great to see me again as she missed me the last few time, she had noticed I had not been with the group the last few times how special does that make one feel.

Well we all walked back to Fox & Hound as that is where most of us parked. It was sad to see the night come to an end as always. It was so great to see all my friends out for a fun night.

Well as promised here are some more pictures from my pedicure. You really should give it a try. Thanks for reading

Super Bowl Party at Cassandra & Peggy’s

Well Super Bowl weekend is here and it is time for the big fun. Not so much the game but the Rose City T-Girls Super Bowl party. This is the 3rd year Cassandra and Peggy have hosted a Super Bowl party at their home. How wonderful is that they will open their home to our group, we love you two.

Well I was running late as normal so I had to rush to get ready. Yes again under an hour from start to finish of course I knew what I was wearing my white skirt and black top as I think it is so cute. I also knew how I was doing my makeup so that helps. I was ready to leave by 1 pm now the problem was it was a really sunny Sunday afternoon and would you believe it a couple of my neighbors were out mowing their yards, it’s winter grass does not grow, any way I was not about to wait so I just drove off. I kind of watched them and they never seemed to look towards my car so don’t think they saw me.

I got to Cassandra and Peggy’s house just before 2 and had to park just down the street and walk up. I really wonder what their neighbors think when they see all these tall girls in high heels going to their home. Well I went in and there were already about 20 people there. Well I went around and said hi to everyone, some it has been a long time since I have seen them and even a few new friends to meet. Well to start I got out my camera as what party would be complete without pictures so yes there will be several pictures in this blog.

I got to Meet Sandy as she came down from Olympia just for the Party. She is really nice and looks really good. It was nice to talk with her and get to know her better. I got a picture with her and Dana (Sandy left, Susan middle and Dana on the right). I have known Dana for awhile but she does not get out very often when I am out so it was great to see her again and talk with her. The three of us chatted for a bit and then it was time to play Jenga, if you have never played it is a blast and Cassandra bought the big blocks, they are the size of bricks. It was so much fun and I was not the one to knock it over even though I thought I would. The person right after me knocked it down. Just so you will understand the size of this game I will include a couple small pictures. These blocks could break a toe especially if you are wearing open toe heels. Maybe we should come up with steel toed heels for this, but then who would see are pretty toe nails.

There was so much food, Chris made his Clam Chowder which is awesome and also hot wings which I am sure were just as good but hey I am a girl I can’t eat messy food and risk messing up my lipstick or getting something under my long pretty figure nails, beauty first. Jan made a pot roast which was really good also. Peggy made this fantastic bread dish, it was a round loaf of bread cut in a checkerboard design and then had bacon, melted cheese and butter on it, so wonderful but I never asked about the calories as it is Super Bowl weekend and calories don’t count. There was so much food and it was all so good. I brought my normal Vegetable tray and some pop to drink. I really did eat more then I should have especially when they opened the apple pie. After that I did try to be good and stayed away from the chips and went to the apple slice tray as that is healthy, sliced apples dipped in caramel, yum.

When the game started you could tell who the football fans were as they were in the big room watching the game while the rest were in the other room talking about important things like makeup, clothes, wigs and the like. Yes I was in this group as I am not a real big football fan.

Once again the cameras came out and I got a picture with Kristy. Now she has crossdressed for many years but only been coming out in public for a little over a month now and boy has she gown in herself confidence. She actually came out to almost everyone she know which really took some guts, something I just cannot do. She also had on this really cute black and white dress. We had a good discussion about lipstick and how to keep it on. I told her how I do my lipstick which I posted in my last blog and it really does stay on really well. Even when I got home tonight my lipstick was still good. It is so much fun talking girly things.

We had a really good turnout; I would guess 40 to maybe 50 of us there. It is so nice to spend the afternoon and evening with such wonderful friends. The game was good and it was a close one from the yelling I could hear in the other room, Cassandra even had a couple football boards, you pick squares and then based on the points at the end of each quarter and game you can win money. No skill involved as the squares are picked before numbers are drawn so it really is blind luck to win. Not since I know nothing of football and being blonde this is my kind of bet so I put $20 in and sure enough in the 3rd quarter I won. Yep you guessed it I won $20 so I broke even which for me is a win.

After the game more pictures were taken and I got one with Amy. We both had on black tops which made us almost look like sisters. I just need to get her to wear high heels so I don’t tower over her so much, makes me look like a giant next to her. It was such a fun night I was sad to see it end but as I have to be up early for work it was time to leave. I said my goodbye’s about 8 and I left. Now as I said I parked just a couple houses down the street and what I left out is Cassandra and Peggy live on a hill. Now walking up the hill in 4″ heels was actually easy as the heels almost made it like walking flat but going down was another story. I bet the steepness of the hill made it feel like I was walking on 7″ heels I was almost falling forward and could only take very small dainty steps. It took what seemed like forever to walk to my car as I was doing my best to walk femininely and not fall on my face. Hope no one saw me.

Well I would like to Thank Cassandra and Peggy again for a wonderful party and opening their home. You two are awesome.

Well it is almost 10 and I have to be up for work in 6 hours so must be off to bed, thanks for reading and have a great week.

Dinner with friends at Henry’s tavern

Well Saturday night I was meeting several of my friends from the group downtown Portland at Henry’s Tavern, now I have never been there before but several of the girls from the group had been there and said it was nice. I was really looking forward to this as I love going new places. We had reservations for 10 of us at 8 pm but were planning on meeting there at 7pm. Not knowing the parking situation I got there a little early and as luck would have it someone pulled out as I came around the corner so I found a spot really easy and only 2 blocks away. Now it was really cold out about 35 and of course I wore a short skirt and heel so the 2 block walk was a little cold.

I got to Henry’s right at 7 pm and went in; they were really busy with maybe a dozen people waiting. I checked with the hostess to see if anyone had checked in yet and they hadn’t so I went to check the bar which turns out is huge and has an second floor. There were no seats in the downstairs part of the bar and only a few in the upstairs but none of our group were there so I went back and took a seat by the door and waited. It was only a few minutes when Peggy and Teresa showed up so the 3 of us went to the bar on the second floor and found the one open table. It wasn’t long and Cassandra, Victoria, Trisha, Jessica and Cassie showed up. We were having a good time just talking when they told us our table was ready so we all went down to the restaurant part. We were still waiting for Lynn and Jan so we held off ordering for a little while and just continued our conversation. We were having a fun time.

There was a both right next to our table with for ladies at and soon Cassandra was chatting with them, turns out one of them was having a birthday, Betsy the other three were Holly, Ingra and Brooke. Well we all sang happy birthday to her and the next thing you know Cassandra is sitting next to Holly and Ingra getting pictures with two of them. It is amazing how Cassandra can do that. Well of course not wanting to miss out on a photo op I went and sat next to Brooke and Betsy and got some pictures. You can see all my pictures with different looks on my Flickr page. The girls were really awesome and didn’t seem to have a problem with us there.

We ordered food and everything looked good. Their prices are a little more than places we usually go but the food was awesome. I had their Macaroni and Cheese and it was awesome. Jan and Lynn finally showed up and joined us. Our waiter well he was awesome too, always referred to us as ladies and even offered to take some pictures of us so we could all be in the picture. It was a real enjoyable dinner and before we knew it, it was 10:30 pm; I don’t know where the time went. It seems every time we are out in a group the time goes by so fast. Well we spent a little time deciding where we wanted to go next and settled on Fox and Hound so off we went.

Now parking downtown Portland on a Saturday night at that time is almost impossible so several of us talked about car pooling down to make it easier so I rode with Trisha and Jessica, funny thing is everyone else just drove themselves. Any way the three of us walked the 2 blocks to their car. And it was really cold out by now especially my toes as my heels were open toe type. It was nice to have someone to walk with since it was so late out. Fox and hound is not that far away so it didn’t take long to get there.

We ordered some drinks and then just sat around and talked some more. Fox and Hound is not a really busy place and gives you a nice place to just sit and talk. It was such a fun night, just a group of ladies enjoying friends. They also have a pool table but none of us played pool which surprised me as some of the girls really love pool.

Well before we knew it, it was 1:30 am again the time went by so fast. We all walked out and said our goodbyes. Trisha and Jessica gave me a ride back to my car. Jessica had a pair of heels that were just a little too big for her and kept slipping off her heel. She also let me borrow her shawl that I liked for a bit which was really nice of her. As it turns out we wear almost the same size except that my feet are a little wider. I tried them on when I got home and the toes are tight but I had the same problem with them slipping off my heel of course I had on nylons so that may have been the reason they slip off. Maybe I will try them without nylons and see if that fit a little better.

It was such a fun night several of us talked about maybe doing a dinner once a month at a different restaurant which I think would be an awesome idea. We even talked a little about Diva Las Vegas and I think this year we may have several from the group go.

Thanks for reading

Halloween Party 2011

Well I have been looking forward to this for weeks. Even with working out my costume the night before it still took me over an hour to do my makeup and get my costume on just the way I wanted. My costume is a dance hall girl, and yes there will be pictures included. I left my house at 4 pm which was interesting as they had an open house at the house across the street they are trying to sell so there was maybe 15 people walking around looking at it both inside and out but hey they didn’t know me at least not yet. I got to Cassandra and Peggy’s house at 5 pm as I had some food and wanted to help set up.

I walked in and Peggy was just coming down the stairs and we just looked at each other. We had both picked out dance hall girl costumes. The dresses were a little different but the hair feather, petticoats, fishnet stockings, garter belt & 4 inch heels were all the same. The funny part is when I picked out my costume they had two dresses that fit me, the one I picked and the other was pretty much the same as Peggy’s. We looked like sisters except I was the rather tall sister. There were only a few people there at this time and the decorations in the house were awesome, Peggy must have worked for days doing them. Soon people started to show up. This year there was a cover charge which really made since; Cassandra and Peggy spend a lot of their own money and time putting this party on. It was only $15 but for that you got all you could eat and drink and if needed you could crash on their floor and get breakfast in the morning so a very good value and I am sure it came nowhere close to what they spend. Just the prizes probably came to a couple hundred bucks.

Well before it got dark we all went outside and started to take some pictures. This is Victoria and me; I like this picture because it is the only one that shows my legs. I wore fishnets for the first time and a garter belt. I just thought it was a great picture and Victoria looked so cute in her costume. Victoria really looks good in Green. There were so many pictures being taken, even Diane had her camera and she took a tone of pictures so I hope she will post them at some point to the group and I will maybe add them to the post later. All my pictures can be seen on my web page and my face book page but I have picked out 3 to include in my blog.

There was also Karaoke again this year. Morgan one of our members did the Karaoke and did an awesome job and yes I did sing one song, Mama Mia. What can I say I like ABBA. Not sure I would ever sing in a public setting but here in this small setting it was fun. There were several girls that did a great job singing.

Jennifer and her wife made it to the party which was great as I have only e-mailed her. I think she said this was only her third time out. It was great to meet her and get to talk with her. Jennifer’s wife is so nice and supportive of her which is great. I hope they can both come out with the group. She had a cute costume and it was nice to get a picture with someone taller than me.

Rachel and her boyfriend came again this year, their costumes were great, and they were both ballerina’s Rachel the black swan and her boyfriend the white swan. They were awesome. Last year their costumes were Star Trek. Rachel made both their costumes and did a great job.

Rachael Miller and her wife came to the party for a little bit. I have known Rachael for many years so it was great to see her and to finally meet her wife. I got to talk to both of them for a while which was nice. Rachael’s wife had a great costume.

Kim, one of Peggy’s friends was also there and had this amazing sexy costume, she was a dead hoe. I had to get a picture with her. She was voted the sexiest costume at the party. She has gone out with the group several times and is always so nice. We had a chance to talk for a while which was nice, would like to have talked to her more. Hopefully she will come out more with the group.

The party was awesome and I think they tried to get a count but haven’t heard the final numbers but would guess 60 to 70 as some came and went so not everyone was there all at the same time. And there were so many great costumes.

There was so much food and drink even though all I drink is pop but at one point they ran out of ice so Peggy asked me to drive her to the store to get more. I was only too happy to as it gave me a chance to go out to the store in my costume plus Peggy had the same costume so us two dance hall girls got in my car and went to the grocery store. It was fun even though they were not that busy and there was no one else in costumes. On the way out as we were getting to my car we got a couple cat calls from a guy and girl getting out of their car.

The party was so much fun and I want to thank Peggy and Cassandra for such a wonderful party and opening up their house again this year for the best Halloween party in town. You two are awesome and I am so lucky to call you friends.

Dinner out with friends

Well tonight Susan went out for dinner with some friends. A while back I got together with Peggy for dinner and we had a great time and talked about doing it again so tonight was the night. We were both able to make it tonight and even Cassandra was able to make it so we decided to have dinner at Who Song & Larry’s, they have good food and the two times I have been there as Susan I was treated awesome. It is also pretty close to where I live so easy for me to get there, little farther for Peggy & Cassandra. We were going to meet there at 6:30 so I left my house a little after 6 and was there 15 minutes later. We had perfect timing as I was just getting ready to get out of my car when Cassandra and Peggy arrived.

They also brought Kathy which was a wonderful surprise as it has been quite a while since I have seen her as she does not get out much, she is Mandie’s wife. Mandie had to work tonight so she joined us. Who Song and Larry’s was a little busy as tonight was Taco Tuesday, .99 cent tacos and happy hour goes till 10. We got a table right in the main room next to the taco bar were you go and they make your taco fresh to order and then you put what you want on it.

They have wonderful chips and salsa to snack on which I could almost make a meal just on that. We sat around and talked for a while before we ate which was nice, just 4 ladies enjoying a little conversation. The staff was awesome as every time they came to check on us they always referred to us as ladies. We got a couple looks but they were brief and then they went back to whatever they were doing and paid us no more attention.

We talked about everything and even Diva Las Vegas this next year. I am definitely planning on going again. Cassandra is also planning on going and Peggy should have some vacation time so she also wants to go. We are trying to talk Kathy into going and bringing Mandie. There are also several other girls in the group who have said they want to go so it could be we might have 6 to 8 of us going next year. That would be such a blast.

It was a really enjoyable evening and our waitress was awesome and would stop and chat with us a little, even the girl making the tacos came over a few times and talked with us. It started when we asked what the cheese was they had. It was a Mexican cheese and that led to Cassandra and Kathy trying to speak Spanish to her which was interesting in itself. My Spanish is very small, a few numbers and a couple words at best. Cassandra even asked about bring some of the group and our waitress said it would be fine just call ahead and they would make sure there was a big table for us. That would be so fun if we could get a Tuesday night dinner group to go there once or twice a month. Good food, great price on Tuesday and awesome staff working there.

Well the time flew by; I think we left a little after 8:30. It did not seem like we had been there 2 hours. It was a fun night, and I hope we can do this again soon. Well it was time to pay our bills; our waitress brought us all separate checks so I got to use my Susan credit card. I left a good tip for the awesome service and we all through some money in the tip jar for the girl cooking the tacos as she also was so nice.

As we left there was a guy outside looking for someone with jumper cables and he asked us, but neither of us had cables. Then he asked what the occasion was and we all just smiled and said it was taco Tuesday. He smiled and said that worked for him and wished us a good night. We said our goodbyes and off we went. It was an awesome night and so glad that Cassandra, Peggy and Kathy could join me for dinner, you girls rock.

Well I plan on going to Starbucks Thursday night and then it will be at least a week before I get out again. This is a busy month but I have my Halloween costume taken care of so I am good.

Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Nice dinner out with friend

Well it turns out this week Susan will be out 3 days in a row and no trip to Starbuck’s. I really like my quiet time at Starbuck’s but it is nice to do something new or different sometimes. A while back Peggy joined me at Starbuck’s and we spent the evening just talking and one of the things we talked about was other things we could do, maybe smaller groups sometime. I had mentioned it would be nice to go out to dinner or maybe catch a movie or something like that, more of your everyday type things. Any way Peggy and I decided we should try to get together for dinner one evening so tonight was the night.

We decided on Who Song & Larry’s in Vancouver at 6:30 which was very convenient for me but Peggy had to come through all the rush hour traffic from Portland. I took her a about an hour to get there where for me it was 15 minutes so I guess I got the better end of this dinner. Well I got there and the parking lot was completely full oh there were a couple spaces where people had pulled in on the line and took 2 spots so after circling the parking lot I saw Peggy standing out front. Seems she got lucky and found a spot. Anyway I stopped to tell her I was gone up the street to park so she got in and road with me around to the over flow parking lot. Now it was a nice evening so the walk back was nice.

Now as busy as the parking lot was inside was pretty empty seems everyone was out on their deck having dinner so we had no trouble getting a table. Now about a year and a half ago about 15 of our group came here for dinner before Christmas so Susan has been here before and we were treated well that night and nothing had changed. Our waiter was great. Always referred to us as Ladies of course Peggy is a GG but it was nice that he never gave me a funny look or treated me any different than anyone else. The food was great and it was a really fun evening.

It was nice to just sit and talk for a couple hours over dinner. I think I will try to do this more often. Friday night I will be out with the group at the P-Club so that will make 3 nights in a row. What a fun week.

Friday night at the P-Club

Well it was another fun night out. I went to the P-Club on Lombard in Portland to meet up with my friends something I look forward to all week. I started getting ready a little earlier as I didn’t want to have to rush as I enjoy the whole Susan experience including getting ready and doing my makeup something most guy’s will never experience which is a shame. It is so much fun to try different looks with the makeup, I went for a little more dramatic look with my eyes as I think this is one of the areas my makeup skills lack and you know what they say practice make perfect or in my case better. I wore my grey sweater dress and put on my black knee high boots as it is such a cute look but at the last minute I changed from my boots to my 4″ heels as they show my pretty painted toes and usually we sit a lot at the P-club so I wanted the look.

I got to the P-club right at 7:30 and Cassandra pulled in right behind me so we all walked in as a group. Cassandra, Peggy, Wilma and me, this was Peggy’s first time here. They were not very busy yet so we got a couple tables and pulled them together and ordered some drinks and some food. It wasn’t long and others girls started to show up and our group out grew the two tables we had. Maya and Mindy (Mindy is her daughter and so accepting and friendly of us); Roxy, Cristine, Jan, Lynn, Brook and Diane who is in town from back east. I know I am missing someone sorry.

Diane had on this cute grey sweater dress with black knee high boots so had I wore my boots we would have looked almost the same other than her dress was just a little different style and a little shorter. It was so funny so of course we took some pictures with Diane’s camera; my batteries were dead as I forgot to change them after Halloween when I took way to many pictures.

Brook was there again and in girl mode for the second week in a row which is nice as she works so much it is really hard for her to get out and she really likes to spend time as her female self. We had a chance to talk for a while which is fun as I think being able to share a little girl talk is one of my favorite things as Susan.

Well next up was shuffle board (they have a table version) so Cassandra and Diane challenged Peggy and me. Cassandra and I had played before but Diane and Peggy had not so we explained how it works and then we started playing. The first game Peggy and I won, we led the whole game. It was so fun. The second game Diane and Cassandra won so you guessed it we had to play another game, Peggy and I took an early lead but Cassandra had some good shots and got a couple with high scores so in the end they won but it was way too much fun. We went back to the table to sit and rest as 4″ heels are not what you want to spend your whole evening standing on but they look cute and that is what is important.

Next Maya asked me to play ping pong so I did even though she is really really good and I knew I would lose. There was a table up by the ping pong table with about 7 people at it (4 girls 3 guys) and they were watching us play so I tried my bet and did have a few good shots and scored some points. We played 2 games and I can tell you playing ping pong in heels is not easy as you do have to move around a lot as you chase that ball. Also a sweater dress is a little warm for physical activity. I really needed to sit down and cool off and have another drink but it was so fun.

Later on it was so funny as Maya and a couple of the other girls were teaching Mindy how to walk in her heels and dress. She is so cute but she is more of a cowgirl type. This was her first time she said wearing a dress and heels so these T-girls were teaching her. So funny to see T-girls teaching a GG how to be walk in heels. She also does not usually wear makeup but Maya got her to put on some eye makeup and a really pretty shade of red lipstick which looked great on her.

Once again it was time for shuffle board so Diane and Brook challenged Mindy and me to a game so I was back up on my feet that were already killing me to play another game. This one guy who was really pretty drunk kept coming up to us he really liked Mindy as she really did look good but he was following her like a puppy dog. And of course was hitting on the rest of us also. At one point he set a pitcher of beer right in the middle of the shuffle board game and got beer on the table and the salt on the top so we had to stop the game and clean that part of the table. Mindy kept telling him to sit and he would for a few minutes and then he was right back by us and once again Mindy would tell him to sit, just like training a puppy. Well Mindy and I won 2 games and I really needed to sit now and rest my feet and for the first time I took my heels off while still out such a girl thing to do. I have seen other woman do this but till this point have never been willing to do. So I sat at the table resting my feet and they did feel better.

A couple woman came up to us a couple different times and told us how nice we all looked and they were glad we were there. They were so nice and we chatted with them for a while. It is nice when we are out to have people tell you that you are welcome in a place and they even like us to be there.

The rest of the evening Peggy, Roxy, Jan, Lynn and I sat and talked. It was so nice and relaxing. Peggy and Cassandra are planning on going to Diva Las Vegas in April 2011 and so am I so we talked a little about that. We want to do the same thing we did last year, leave Friday and drive to LA, spend Saturday in LA maybe go to Universal again and have lunch outside and then go to the Oxwood Saturday night and then Sunday on to Las Vegas for the week. It was so fun last year and we are all looking forward to this year. I once again plan on doing the whole trip as Susan again and yes that defiantly means having Acrylic nails as I love them and could never pass up a chance to have them. I talked a little with Diane to see if she could meet us there and also hope more from our group the Rose_City_T-girls can go. We may even try a different hotel this year.

Well it was about 1 AM when I left, it had been a long day as I get up really early during the week. Some of the girls stayed but this girls feet were dead. May have to wear shorter heels next time we go here.
