Wednesday night dinner at Deschutes brewing

It is Wednesday and the Rose City T-girls are going to Dinner at the Deschutes Brewing downtown Portland. Now I have never been here before so I was looking forward to it and planning on going. I got home at 4:30 and Julie texted me to see if I was going. I texted her back and said yes and asked if she wanted me to pick her up and ride with me. So, we will be gong together tonight. I started getting ready as I wanted to pick Julie by 6:15. I was ready a little before 6 and on my way and guess what, I was low on gas so I stopped at Costco and got gas before heading to pick Julie up. It was closer to 6:30 when I got to Julie’s.

Julie was all ready when I got there so we were on our way to meet our friends for dinner. It was a nice drive and Julie and I had a chance to talk which was nice. We got downtown and had to park 3 blocks a way which was no big deal other then being really cold out. As we walked the few blocks we talked a little about how far we have come. Not many years ago we would only go out to LGBT places like Embers (which sadly closed) & CC Slaughters and we would always park as close as we could as we didn’t want to be out side any longer than we had to. Now we go to mainstream places and what I mean by that is going anyplace we want and not worrying about if the place is LGBT friendly or the fact we are part of the LGBT. All we are thinking is we are people like everyone else going out for dinner.

We got there and yes, I was a little cold but I did wear my high heel and not my open toed heels. Melissa was already there and they were really busy, we had to wait about 20 minutes before we got a table but that was okay as we still had girls that hadn’t shown up yet. We sat on a bench by the door with others waiting for tables, just like everyone else. Barb and Kearren showed up so the five of us waited till our table was ready. Soon we were seated and just waiting for Cassandra, yes, she was going to be able to join us tonight. It really wasn’t long and Cassandra showed up. We talked for a little more before ordering dinner.

Now, our waiter was wonderful, he treated us great and with respect as really everyone we interacted with here. It is always nice to go to places that treat everyone the same and yes, we have a great city here and we really have always been treated well where ever we go. We all ordered dinner and I did get one of their hamburgers which was awesome. There were only 6 of us tonight so it was easy for all of us to talk with each other. It is one of those 2 sided choices. I really do like when we have big turnouts but it makes it hard to talk with everyone, the smaller groups are more personal and easier to talk with everyone.

We had a great dinner and then sat and talked till almost 10, yes later then I planned on being out and in the morning, I will regret it but I was having fun and out with my friend. Julie ordered a desert and I helped her eat a little, thanks Julie. It really was a wonderful night out. It was almost 10 when we left and it was a chilly walk back to the car. I still amazes me how easily I walk around the town, as a matter of fact I don’t think I really thought ab out being out as a woman tonight other than when I was doing my makeup and picking out my dress. The rest of the night I was just out as myself, being myself. Susan is just a part of who I am, she is as much a part of me as my male side, but a lot more fun.

The drive home was nice as Julie and I talked more, it was really nice. Now Julie is going out of town for a few weeks for the Holiday’s so she wont be out for a while. It was almost 11 when I got home, it will be a short night but so worth it.

Thanks for reading and keep up on what is new in my life on my most recent blog.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and please be safe.

Saturday night dinner out but first Starbuck’s

Okay it is Saturday and Julie; Kate and I are going to Dinner at Noble Rot in downtown Portland. I have never been there, well actually never even heard of it so I am looking forward to it. Julie made reservations for 3 this morning and let us know. I will pick her up between 6 & 6:15 and we will be on our way. Now I had some things I had to take care of today and I actually got done early so what is a girl to do. I decided to start getting ready a little before 3 and by 4 I was already makeup done and looking at my dress for tonight. I decided I just didn’t want to sit at home so I put on my yoga pants and a sweater top and decided to go to Starbucks for a while. Now I know my makeup is a little much for Starbuck’s but I don’t want to have to redo it before going out tonight. At least I didn’t wear the dress and heels to Starbuck’s although I am sure I would have turned some heads. Now while I was finishing getting ready I got a couple messages from a couple of our girls asking where we were going tonight so I was texting back and forth for a while to see if we could add to our reservation which Julie was able to do even though the restaurant is booked up tonight so Karen and Melissa will be joining us.

I got to Starbuck’s and went in, they are not busy which surprised me I figured on a rainy windy day what better place to go then Starbuck’s. The young man at the counter remembered me by name which always makes me feel wonderful. Even the girl who made my drink remembered me, a nice warm cup of hot chocolate which is wonderful on a day like this. It is nice to go places like this where they remember you and treat you well. Now I was at my table on my computer chatting with Karen on Facebook and texting Julie and Melissa to get everything arranged and see if Julie could add them which she was able to do, Thanks Julie for doing that and for making the reservations in the first place. Once that was done I started working on this blog which I will finish tomorrow and also caught up on some e-mails and work. I really do enjoy coming to Starbucks as Susan to do my work, so much better than sitting at home. Now I won’t stay here as long as I planned as I will have to go home and change and also charge up my phone before going out tonight. I left Starbuck’s at 5:30 and went home and changed into my dress and heels and touched up my makeup which actually held up really well. I was on my way to Julie’s by 5:45

I got to Julies and went in, she had just finished getting ready so we chatted for a few minutes before we were on our way. It was a rainy and windy night so I was glad I didn’t make the drive to Salem. Now Julie has eaten here before but I have never even heard of the place so Julie told me how to get there, we got lucky and found a parking spot right on Burnside by the restaurant, I didn’t know how lucky we were. I put my big wrap on in the car not easy to do and it covers up my pretty dress. We got out of the car and we only had to cross the side walk. I parked right in front of the door. The restaurant is on the 4th floor so we took the elevator up. It was 7 so we were just a little early but our table was ready even though they were really busy. July and I sat down and waited for the others to show up, Melissa was first followed by Karen and Kate so we were all here. Now the restaurant is dark inside I guess for the more romantic look but the bad part you really couldn’t see my dress inside either. Kind of a letdown as I really wanted to be noticed in my dress as it was really cute. The booth sat 6 with 3 on each side which was wonderful as with the small group we had we could talk with everyone. Somehow, we got on the topic of cell phones and the cameras and taking selfie’s in low light which I really do think the Samsung take the best pictures in low light. Any way I gave Karen my tip on taking a selfie. I can’t hold the phone out and push the button and get a good picture so I set the timer to 5 seconds, that way I can push the button and then hold the phone out to get the picture I want and there is still time for the camera to focus. This is a picture taken of me in the low light with no flash and remember we had to use the candles on the table to read the menus.

Our waitress came over, her name was Harmony and she was awesome, she took our drink orders and told us about their specials tonight and was just really pleasant. We got our drinks and ordered our food and then kept talking. It was so nice to be able to be in the conversations with everyone. I don’t want to sound like I want to exclude people but it was nice to have a small intimate group. One it is more like the people around us as they were all groups of 4 to 6 accept for one large group in the back. It allowed us to sit with everyone else instead of being at the big table in the back. It was just more of a normal outing. I don’t think I thought once about us being t-girls, we were just ladies out for a nice dinner. It was a great feeling

Our dinner came and it was wonderful, we all had different items and everyone loved what they had. Now the prices are above average but the food was wonderful and so was the atmosphere and the view as the booths sat by the window overlooking the city which would have been a wonderful view had it not been so dark, rainy and windy. Harmony our waitress was attentive to us and checked back on us often to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. It really was a nice dinner and I would highly recommend this place but call for reservations and try to keep your group to 4 to 6 and you will have a wonderful time.

We had a great evening and talked about so many things including of course the real important topics of the day, makeup and heels. It is amazing how fast the night went by, after dinner we had desert and that was also wonderful although I probably should cut out the deserts. I really want to lose some weight by our cruise next year so I am going to have to make some changes to my diet. We also talked about our nails which we all love. Melissa brought up an interesting thing about nails which I had never thought about. We all love having pretty long nails and she said it was the reason we can see them. Here I am all dressed up in a pretty dress, full makeup, heels and hair but I can’t see it unless I look in the mirror, our nails are in front of us and we can see them all the time and that is the feminine part we see the most. Kate was going to take a group picture of us at the table but Harmony came over and took it so we could all be in it, we didn’t even have to ask her she just offered. This is our group after dinner at Noble Rot. Kate, Melissa, Susan, Keren, & Julie. What a wonderful pretty group of ladies.

As I said it went by so fast and soon it was 10 pm and we called it a night. It was truly a wonderful night. The 5 of us and 2 men road down in the elevator together and we talked with each other including the men about dinner. It was just a normal evening out with friends. I really like going to these mainstream places where we can interact with other people. Anyone around us would see we were no different from them other than our dress. We came in, sat, had dinner and normal conversation. We weren’t loud, obnoxious or drawing attention to ourselves and that I think is a wonderful thing. We all dressed like all the other woman here and just blended in although I am sure they knew we were a little different. It was a great night and thanks to my friends for having dinner together and a big thanks to Julie who set it all up.

It was still rainy and windy outside when we left so I was glad we parked right outside the door. Julie and I talked more on the drive back to her house. It was just a fun girl’s night out. I dropped off Julie and drove home. It was about 11:30 when I got home.

Thanks for reading, link to my most recent blog so you can see what I am up to now.

Wednesday night dinner at Who Song & Larry

It is Wednesday night and I am going to dinner with my friends at Who Song & Larry’s. This is always a fun dinner place as the people here are awesome. Now dinner is at 7 but I know Cassandra is going to get there at 6 to watch the Baseball playoffs before dinner so that is my goal also. I started getting ready a little after 4 as I wanted to take my time and enjoy the experience of getting all pretty. I took my time on my makeup and actually tried 3 different dresses before I picked the one I wore, my blue with black on the sides. I also went with my dark brown wig tonight. Here is a picture in the car. I was on my way looking forward to a fun night.

I got to Who Song & Larry’s just before 6 and went in, Funny how I don’t even think about getting out of the car. Years ago, I use to sit in the car to build up the courage, now Susan is just a part of my life. And yes, Susan is a big part of my life and a big part of who I am. Cassandra was sitting at the barf watching the game so I joined her, it was nice to be out. We talked as we watched the game and waited for others to show up. Of course, we had some of their fresh made tortilla chips and bean dip. It is so good, I could make a meal out of just that and I almost did.

Melissa and her wife were the next to show up and they both noticed my hair, I don’t wear it that often wear it as I am not sure of dark hair on me but it does feel nice to have people notice when you change your hair. I guess in that way I am such a girl. Yes, I do love to look pretty. Kearren was the next to show up followed by Barb. I really love these dinners out with my friends.

It was a little after 7 when we went to our table and yes Cassandra could still watch the game across the room. I sat next to Melissa and her wife and across from Cassandra, Barb and Kearran. It is nice to have these smaller more intimate groups. Julie showed up and sat next to me. It was great to see her and of course I had to show her my nails as we both love getting our nails done. So yes, I am going to talk about my nails. N ow when I got my nails done Saturday Cathy put a light pink color on them and I was worried about them and I didn’t really come across as liking it when she did it. Now indoors the nails have a nice healthy color to it although you can tell there is polish on them. Outside in the sun they have a slight pale pink color and yes if you get a good look at them you can tell as you can see from the pictures in my last blog. The other day though I was out side in the sun and walked into the shade and wow my nails had a pinkish violate color that was really noticeable as you can see from this picture. These are the same nails one in shade and one in sun light. The funny thing is I really love this polish

and look on my nails. I wish I had paid attention to the polish she used as I want to get it the next time.

I know people will notice and probably already have but no one has said a thing. In a way I am a little disappointed but also glad at the same time. My nails really do look awesome. These are pictures of same nails one outside in shade and one inside, wow what a difference. It is funny how far I have come. Now I know some of my friends keep telling me I really want to transition and no I do not. I have no desire to be a woman full time but I do believe the two sides of me can be a part of me all the time. At the very least I am sure it will raise some questions but I do love nice looking nails. What do you think of my nails, is it too much for me as a male?

Well back to our dinner out. Our waitress came over, her name is Venessa and she was awesome, she made a point of learning all our names and called us by them all night and she had the nicest southern accent, she is from North Carolina. We all ordered dinner well I ordered from the appetizer menu as I really did eat to many chips earlier. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyable conversation. It was a little after 8 when Bambi and Kris showed up so they ordered dinner as we were finishing but it was great they made it. So, we had 9 of us here tonight.

After dinner we just sat and talked for a while. Barb and Kearren were the first to leave and then Melissa and her wife. I was having too much fun just being out with friends that even though I had to get up early for work I stayed. Venessa a=our waitress came over a few times and talked with us. She really was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. She actually has a friend who dresses so I gave her one of my cards with my e-mail on it and told her to give it to her friend if she wanted to join our group. Also gave her one for her as Cassandra invited them to her Halloween party. I really hope she contacts me as it would be great if they came to the party.

It was after 10 when we called it a night. Julie and I are going out both Friday and Saturday night. I am looking forward to going out again this weekend. Thanks for reading

Saturday night dinner with friends at Henry’s

It is Saturday and our group the Rose City T-girls are getting together for dinner at Henry’s Tavern in downtown Portland. It is a wonderful way to spend an evening and can have friendly conversation so I was really looking forward to it as I have not gotten out much the last few months. Our reservation was 7:15 but I knew Peggy and Cassandra were planning on being there by 6:30 so that was my goal also. I started getting ready about 4:30. I also had some new lipstick I was looking to try. I have tried the Mauve before and it seems to work really well but tonight I wanted to try the red. The Mauve stayed on really well just a slight wear on the inside of the lip, the one thing I don’t like about this lipstick is it does take a while to dry but it stays on really well, even olive oil and soap didn’t take it off. I had to use baby oil. But tonight, was the red. I was done with my makeup and getting dressed by 5:45 and I noticed my neighbors across the street were all out in the street playing basketball with their 3 kids and some friends. I am not sure if they know about me yet. By the time I was dressed and ready to leave it was just the husband and his friend standing by the street talking. It was time to leave so pulled out of the garage and left not really looking at them.

I got downtown just before 6 and I knew it would be pure luck to find parking on the street so I just went to the parking garage as it is only a block away. I was almost to Henry’s when Cassandra and Peggy came around the corner, Peggy got out while Cassandra went to park so we walked in together. It was great to see Peggy again, I have really enjoy talking with her and by the way she had beautiful long red nails tonight. We went into the bar and got a couple tables as we waited for Cassandra and others to show up.

Laura and Max were the first to arrive followed by Kate, Melissa and her wife, Karen, Kearren, and Julie. It was great to see all of them and have a nice group for dinner. We had about 45 minutes to talk as we waited for our table which was nice. Our table was finally ready and we all walked through the crowd to our table. I sat between Peggy and Julie and Max & Laura were right across from me. It was about 7:30 when Cassi showed up so we had 12 in all.

Now I had to decide on dinner and I narrowed it down to a steak or their mac & cheese with chicken both of which are wonderful. With no way to decide I did the only thing I could. I checked out the dessert menu to see if I would be having dessert, of course I knew the answer before I looked. With my dessert picked out I went with the mac and cheese as I figured that wouldn’t be as much to eat.

Now we sat around and talked for a while as we waited for our food. Some of the conversation was on our Cruise next year which we are looking forward to and as 7 of us here tonight are already booked it seemed like a good topic. We also talked about our dinner and Harvey’s Comedy club which has opened again. We always went to Harvey’s the first Saturday of the month for years and it was fun, when they closed in early summer we started doing a nice dinner on that night and we have dinners scheduled through the first of the year so I think in February we will look at it and I think we will try to get Harvey’s back in the rotation. I think we are liking going to places other than just bars, now there is nothing wrong with going to a bar but our group has gone to bars for almost 10 years at least once or twice a week and early on that was really the only place we would go several times a week. I think we are enjoying expanding our world plus I think it is good to go places where we can interact with more people. One reason I am really looking forward to our Cruise. Our dinner in November I will not be able to make but I am looking forward to our December dinner, we are doing a dinner cruise on the Portland Spirit. This is something I have always wanted to do and I am going to get to do it as Susan. Cassandra got us a group rate so it really is not that bad. $70 per person includes dinner, non-alcohol drinks, 2 ½ hour cruise and tip. We have 14 signed up now, we need 15 to get that rate but I think we can get one more as we have two months. Cassandra does have to put up a $500 nonrefundable deposit so hopefully everyone shows up.

Our group is really active and we have done some really fun things over the years. If you are in Portland (or come here on a regular basis check out our group and join, you will be glad you did but even if you don’t join you can always join us when we go out just contact us. Now we did get some good pictures tonight. This is how my makeup turned out tonight.

The food was wonderful as always yes our group has come here several times over the years and always had a great time and been treated wonderful. After dinner it was time for dessert and I ordered the Mud Pie brownie Sunday, well a half of one. Peggy said she would have a bight or two so I figured a half would be big enough. Wow it was huge, two big pieces of Brownie in a big pile of ice cream. Even with Peggy having a few bites I couldn’t finish it all. Julie got the same and shared hers with Melissa and her wife. A tip if you come here which you should, share a dessert, the half is enough for two. Peggy and Cassandra were the first to leave as they had to get up early tomorrow which I totally understand. Karen also left it was good to see her but I wish I could have talked with her more.

The rest of us stayed a little later talking and yes Peggy and Cassandra are doing a Halloween party again this year, they have such great parties and Peggy puts so much work into decorating for it. I am going but not sure what I will do for a costume. I have been so busy with other things in my life that Susan couldn’t get out and now I am not sure I have time to find a costume. I may just recycle one of my old costumes or just maybe go without a costume this year. Will have to see. Here are some of the years past 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2009. We are all looking forward to it.

Okay I also have to post a picture of Julie and me as she said I could. I never post pictures of other people without their permission, I think that is just a good rule and I respect their choices just as I would want them to respect mine. I am not even sure when we left but I am guessing it was after 10. I got to the parking garage and there was a young lady there who was lost, you see this parking garage is huge and covers several blocks underground. She asked me if I knew where the entrance was by whole food and I really don’t know down town very well but I showed her the pay station where you can push a button and talk with someone in hopes they could help her. That is always a fear I have of going someplace and then not remembering where I parked.

I got home and washed my makeup off well at least everything but the lipstick as that did not come off and looked just as good as when I put it on accept on the inner parts of my lips. In the morning I got up and had breakfast and then used some baby oil to take it off well almost. Seems the red sticks a little better especially on the lip line and just outside the lip line. I was a little worried now as I had used 2 cotton balls soaked with baby oil and it still looked like I had lip liner on. My next step was a shower and I used a washcloth with a lot of soap and muscle power, yes I exfoliated my lips to the max but I got it all off. My lips are the softest they have ever been. I will say this lipstick stays on really well.

Thursday night dinner with Julie

Okay I have been out all day shopping and now I am sitting at Starbucks at Jansen Beech. Julie and I are meeting for dinner at Stanford’s and she is meeting me here at Starbuck. It was about 6:30 when Julie arrived at Starbuck. It was goo to see her again. We talked for a little bit before we drove over to Stanford’s. I have been here a couple times before but it was years ago. Now being so late they were not real busy so we got right in.

We got a nice little both ad talked for a while before we ordered. Our waitress came back several time to see if we were ready to order before we actually were as we were busy talking. Well we finally ordered dinner. We had nice diner conversation and it was a really enjoyable time.

After dinner we sat and talked for a long time, it was amazing how fast the time past. it was after 10:30 when we finally left. I really do love going out with the group but smaller groups can be really nice also as it gives you more of a chance to talk. Wednesday night we had 5 and we could sit and talk with everyone at the table, tonight with just the two of us it was really easy to talk. It is funny how in my male life I am not a big talker, probably because the conversations aren’t as much fun. It is way more fun to talk about clothes, makeup nails hair and the like although we did discuses politics a little. It was okay as Julie and I have pretty much the same political views which I kind of new before we started talking about it. This and Religion are topics I avoid most of the time as people have very strong views on both and I have lost a few Facebook friends because they didn’t agree with my views which I find really sad. being in the Transgender LGBT community you would think people would be more accepting to other ideas as for years all we wanted was to be accepted for who we are but it seems some want that for themselves but are not tolerant of others so just for the record I don’t care what your views are I do not pick my friends that way. All I need or expect from my friends are to accept me for who I am views and all and I will do the same. Wow got off track there but I am back again.

I had really nice time having dinner wit Julie and hope to do it more. Maybe even get together like this with some of the other girls in the group also as I think you really get to know a person that way. Any way we said our goodbyes and we were on our way home. the only bad part of the night is both of us forgot to get pictures. It was just such a normal and relaxing evening out we never thought about a picture to remember it by.

Wednesday night dinner with my friends.

Okay I have been out all day shopping and having fun. I had texted Cassandra and she was already at Fox & Hound so I figured I would go down there early. It was a little after 4:30 when I got there and I found a parking spot right in front. Cassandra was inside on her computer in a chat room. Seems n Wednesday she usually gets here about 2 and plays on her computer. It is funny how we all have our things we enjoy. Me I enjoy going to Starbucks for a couple hours and playing n my computer. I think being out just makes us feel more part of everyday living. Of course I also had my computer so Cassandra was on chat and I was catching up on things on mine as we chatted. We are talking about Diva Las Vegas and how we want to do the trip, we are both planning on going though and the dates are final March 26 – 31.

At 5:30 Cassandra went up by the bar to watch the baseball playoff’s she is a huge LA Dodgers fan. I am kind of hoping the Chicago Cub’s win. It was funny as every so often I would walk up and see how the game was going and during commercials she would walk back to chat on her computer. Now tonight we are going to Alexis Restaurant which s a Greek food place. The group has gone here a few times before but I was never able to make it those night. Any way They are closing in a few weeks as the owner wants to retire and he was unable to sell it. I don’t think I have ever had Greek food so I am kind of looking forward to it even though I am some what of a picky eater.

Cristine showed up and also Julie, the are the regular Wednesday night girls. It was good to see them again and Julie was wearing a black skirt with a sweater type top which looked cute and I only mention this is I also had on a black skirt with a sweater type top. We kind of looked like we coordinated our outfits. We talked for a while as we weren’t going for dinner till 7 and it is only 3 blocks away. Of course the one draw back of getting here early is it is only 2 hour parking so at 6:45 I had to go out and pay for more parking. I was unwilling to gamble on the 15 minutes as with my luck I would get a ticket. Now the funny thing is the parking meters her in Portland take debit or credit cards so I put my credit card in to charge .45 for that last 15 minutes. Seems silly but I have done that many times before as I usually get downtown between 6:30 and 6:45 when I meet my friends so I end up with all these small charges on my credit card.

Well at 7 it was just the 4 of us so we left and I put my computer in my car and grabbed my umbrella as it was raining, not real hard but Susan does not like getting wet. We walked the 3 blocks to Alexis and Jan was there waiting for us so we had 5 for dinner tonight. Seems Wednesday nights are not as popular any more. I think the more our girls in our group go out the more comfortable they become and that may have something to do with it. years ago the only place I went was with the group now I go where ever I want which is a wonderful thing.

Well they were really busy the owner said ever since he said he was closing down they have been packed every night I guess lots of people did what we did and wanted one last meal here. We had to wait about 20 minutes so we stood at the bar yes they were that busy that it was standing room only. We got our table and and we had a couple extra chairs just incase someone else showed up which no one did. Joan ordered some appetizers for the table and they were all good well I wasn’t fond of the calamari but the flaming cheese was awesome. We ordered dinner and Cassandra recommended the Greek potatoes over the rice so that is what I did and it was really good. We ad a wonderful time and after we ate we sat and talked. it was almost 10 when we left.

We walked back and Cassandra, and Joan headed home but Cristine, Julie and I went into CC Slaughters to see what was going on, well actually Cristine had to wait for her ride which would pick her up between 10:15 and 10:45. They were not very busy and Julie and I had fun with our nails. seems the gel polish glows 20161019_215958under the black lights they have in here. the first picture was taken with the flash on and you can see they are red the next 2 were taken with no flash just the lights in the20161019_220018 bar and they have a pinkish glow to them. Julie and I were having so much fun, we seem to be amused with the simple things. Of course we both love pretty nails.

Julie and I talked about getting together, we had hoped to go shopping one day this week and maybe look at wigs but tomorrow she has 2 appointments so she wont be able to even start getting ready till 20161019_2201004 so we are going to meet for dinner which will be fun.

I am not sure what I will do but I will be out during the day as Susan and probably do some more shopping before meeting up with Julie. Okay I also am including this last picture whish is Julies nails under the black light. where mine were a red color hers is just a very neutral color maybe a champagne it really has almost no color.

It was a fun night out and about 10:30 Julie and I20161019_220042 called it a night. Now to plan for tomorrow. wow this week is going fast and soon it will be over and I will go back to plain old nails with no color, how sad is that.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.

Wednesday night dinner with friends

Well I got to go out for dinner tonight, I really hadn’t planned on going out but a couple of my friends contacted me about going out I just couldn’t pass it up. Our Wednesday night dinner tonight was at the House of Louie for Chinese and they have really good food. Now it is really nice today and will be through the weekend so I am sure my neighbors are more likely to be out. Now as I was not going to stay out late I figures I would try to get out earlier so I started getting ready about 4:30with hopes of being ready by 6. Things went right and I was actually ready by 5:45.

Now 4 of my neighbors were out talking but they were one house down the street in the opposite direction I was going so I went ahead and left hoping they wouldn’t notice from that far away. I got downtown Portland by 6:15 and parked and walked to Fox & Hound.

Cassandra was there and she was on her computer. She was online in her chat room DJing the room, She had her headphones on with the mic and was talking online. She talked me into talking for a little bit but I really didn’t know what to say so I passed it back to her pretty quick.

Cristine showed up right after I did and Julie just a little while later. Julie sat next to me and Cassandra and Cristine was behind us so all of us were on Cassandra’s Cam at the same time. It was kind of funny.

At 7 Cassandra put her computer away and the 4 of us walked over to House of Louie for dinner. Turns out we were the only 4 that showed up tonight so it was a smaller tur out than normal. It was still a fun night as we had a nice dinner and good conversation. It really is amazing how fast the time went by as before we knew it, it was 9 pm.

We walked back over to CC Slaughters, Cassandra, Cristine and Julie all went in but I decided to skip it and head home as I knew if I went in I would stay for a while. It was wonderful to spend a couple hours with my friends.

Thanks for reading.

Friday and a chance to go out with my friends

Well it is Friday and I have had a fun week already but I am really looking forward to tonight as I can wear one of my new dresses. This is a not so good picture of me but it is a really cute dress. I have discovered that tight dresses get really short when you sit, my tip for the day. Well I was ready to get in the shower at 5 so I could get out early but got a phone call from a family member and ended up talking for about 30 minutes so now I was going to have to rush just to make it by 7.

Well I was out the door and on my way by 6:45. I got to Sweethome just a little after 7 and the parking lot was full and so was the street. I actually had to park about 12 car lengths up the street which is the farthest I have ever had to park here plus being a tree lined residential street there is really no street lights so it was pretty dark which I guess as it is close to Halloween is fitting but it also made me more aware of my surrounding which is something we should always do anyway.

Well Chris was there playing pool as usual as he always gets here by 6. Jan and Lynn were also here and this is early for them but I was happy as it is good to see them. Lynn is the one I had take my picture. I sat with them for a bit and we talked which is always nice. Well their diner came so I moved over and sat next to Chris and ordered my dinner.

Chris had won his game of pool and was playing another one, seems to be his night for pool. Cassandra showed up which was nice as she has been working a lot lately, it has been several Fridays since she has been out. It was nice to talk to her and we got to hear about her and her wife’s recent trip to Reno, even saw a picture of them of course she was in male mode as Cassandra had to stay home. We also talked about the upcoming Halloween party we are all looking forward to. Cassandra and Peggy open their home and put on the best Halloween party. Peggy spends the whole month of October and many hours decorating their home so it looks just perfect and it always does. We also talked about Diva Las Vegas next year as we are all looking forward to it.

Roxy and Cristine both showed up so we had a pretty good turnout tonight. Craig from the other group came over and showed us his hair cut I am assuming for Halloween. He shaved the top part of his head and just left the hair around the side. Can’t remember who he said he was supposed to look like but it kind of reminds me of the lollipop kids in the Wizard of Oz without the curls on top. It was a really interesting look to say the least.

It was actually pretty busy here tonight, they had a good crowd which always makes it more fun. Well Karaoke started and of course Chris and Lynn both sang from our group and did great as did all the people.

Diane also showed up and she looked a little different than she did when I saw her yesterday while I was shopping at Sears. It is still funny that I ran into Rose and her in her male mode while out shopping. Much better then running into someone who only knows my male side. It was just a fun night out with friends and it really wasn’t what we did but the fact we were together that makes it such a fun night

Well girls left and by 11:30 it was just Diane and me left from our group. We sat and talked for a while and got to know each other better which is always nice and of course we listened to some more Karaoke. It was just a fun night. It was after midnight when we called it a night. What a great way to start the weekend.

Thanks for reading.

Dinner out with Stefia and Gina

Well Thursday night after a day of shopping I was meeting Stefia for dinner. I was just finishing up my blog about shopping today at a Starbuck’s in the mall when Stefia arrive. It was great to see her again. We still hadn’t decided where we were going for dinner. Well turns out Gina was also going to be out tonight and wanted to join us which was a great idea. I have met her ones or twice before but a couple years back so it would be nice to see her again. Since we were at Clackamas Town Center we decided to meet for dinner at California Pizza which is here at the mall at 7:15 so Gina would have time to get here which left Stefia and I about 40 minutes to kill and what better way than a little more shopping.

We walked down the mall to Macy’s which I have never really shopped at as they are a higher end store like Nordstrom’s well it turns out they have markdown racks too, who knew. What a great deal, better quality clothes and markdown prices. Well Stefia shops here a lot as she knew just where to go. They had several racks marked 50 to 70 % off and then on the sign you got an extra 30% off that price at the register. I found this really cute ¼ sleeve black and white top that was really long, I could almost use it as a really short dress well maybe if I was 2 inches shorter and I also found a really cute black and white dress and both were $20.99 and I got another 30% off at the register so I had to buy them. They were actually cheaper than the dresses I bought at Ross.

Well it was time to go meet Gina so we walked out of Macy’s and across an open air promenade to California Pizza and Gina was already there. It was great to see her again. Well we got a booth and started talking which is always fun. Our waiter actually came back 4 times before we were ready to order. Now we were talking about dessert already so I decided I would be good so I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, I actually ordered the half salad which turned out to be a full size plate, so glad I didn’t order the full salad.

We had a lovely dinner and great conversation. It was great to catch up with Stefia and Gina. I really like this type of outings as you get some really good quality time to talk with no distractions. Well after we were done Gina asked our waiter if he would take a picture of us and he was only too happy to so we all got our cameras out. We got some really cute pictures but I think this was the best. From left to right is Stefia, Gina and Susan.

Well now we had the big decision, dessert, where did we want to go. Now this is a big choice so we took a few minutes discussing it and then finally decided to walk next door to Dave and Busters BBQ so Gina could see the inside and check out their dessert menu. Well we walked around only to find they weren’t open. It looks like they are still finishing up building it. so we had to go to plan B which was to go to Claim Jumpers which is over across the parking lot so Gina drove over as she parked by California Pizza and Stefia and I walked back through Macy’s to our car and then we drove over so we would be closer after all it was 9:45 and dark out.

We went in and sat at a booth in the bar. Gina ordered a drink and it was such a cute drink we all took pictures with it which was Gina’s idea and they came out cute. I am not sure what it was maybe a Kahlua but if it tasted as good as it looked then it was wonderful.

Now we had the hard choice of what to order for dessert, they have an awesome dessert menu here so we took our time. Now as the items that Gina and Stefia had ordered at California Pizza were just as big as my salad and we were all a little full we decided to order 2 deserts to split between the 3 of us.

After a little though we settled on a Carrot cake and the Italian Lemon cake. Our waitress brought us the desert and 3 plates. The pieces of cake were huge. There is no way I could have eaten a whole piece by myself so we made the right choice to split.

Now I love Lemon cake but have never been a big fan of Carrot cake as I find them dry at least the ones I have had before. The Carrot cake here was really good, it was moist and had a great taste. Well we each cut off a piece of each cake and still had some left for someone to have seconds, and of course we took a couple more pictures with us with our desserts. We should have gotten a picture of them before we cut them up.

Well we sat and talked some more as we enjoyed our desserts which was nice as we got to know each other better. That is one of the harder things about this as we are still guarded about who we really are so it is nice when you reach that point of trust where you feel you can open up about who you are. I really have met so many wonderful people and have become so comfortable as Susan that now I feel I don’t have to separate the two sides. I can be more of a complete whole person with them.

It is amazing how much fun we had just talking and how fast the time pasted. Soon we looked around and we were the only ones still there as a matter of fact they had people vacuuming on the far side of the restaurant. It was time for our night to come to an end which is always sad.

Gina picked up the bill for Dessert which was nice of her, Thank Gina. Well of course we had to have at least one more group picture so Gina got our waitress to take a couple more pictures of us. Now remember at this point I have been out as Susan for over 12 hours with no touchups to my makeup other than a little powder so I am pretty happy with the way I look. Then we headed out, Stefia set her camera up at the front. She has an app on her cell phone that can control her camera so we all posed and he used her phone to take the pictures. We must have taken 10 pictures in the lobby.

It was 10:45 when we left the restaurant and the funny thing is when we left they locked the door behind us so we closed them down. Really it was awesome of them to let us sit there and talk while they were actually closed and cleaning up instead of asking us to leave. I have to give them a big thumbs up.

So here is my review, both California Pizza and Claim Jumpers are awesome places to go. Good food and wonderful staff. What a wonderful evening I had with two wonderful ladies I am glad to have as friends.

Thanks for reading.

Dinner with friends

Well Wednesday night I had a chance to go out to dinner with my friends. I don’t normally go out during the week with my friends as I can’t stay out late and of course once I am out with them the temptation is to great to stay out late but every once in a while I do, besides they were going to House of Louie for Chinese which I love.

I got down town about 6:45 so of course I had to pay to park for 15 minutes till 7. It is funny as I have done this many times and I use my credit card as it is easier but seems strange to put a .40 cent charge for this but better than a parking ticket.

I got to Fox & hound and Cassandra, Chris and Cristine were already there and of course Chris and Cassandra were on their computers. I also paid Cassandra for the golf tournament we have coming up the end of the month. So far she has 8 that have confirmed and paid and we have 4 to 8 more that are planning on golfing or at least thinking about it so we should have a good turnout, it will be so much fun.

About 7 we walked the 2 block to House of Louie for dinner, Petra was outside waiting for us. We got to House of Louie and Peggy was already there. It was so cool Peggy was able to make it tonight. It was just the 6 of us but we had a great time. It was nice to just have a quiet dinner and good conversation. It was amazing how fast the night went and before I knew it, it was 8:45 and it was time to leave. Chris, Petra and Cristine were going to CC Slaughters for pool and Cassandra, Peggy and I were all going home, yes it was easier to leave for home when you are not the only one.

Peggy and I walked together as she had parked over on the same street I had just a block closer to House of Louie. Even at almost 9 it was still over 80 out and just a nice evening to be out walking. Peggy is also golfing with us so that will be fun. I only had a block to walk after we got to Peggy’s car and you know I never even thought about the fact I was dressed while I walked it was just a normal walk no different than if I had been in male mode. It was a fun night and I was home by 9:15 so it worked out great.
