My life as a heterosexual crossdresser.

July 2012 Monthly social at Cassandra & Peggy’s home.

Well it was Saturday night and I was ready for a fun night at Cassandra and Peggy’s monthly social. I was already to leave and no one outside so as I pulled out of my drive the neighbors across the street opened their garage door and as I went by they were standing in their garage. I didn’t notice them looking at me but cannot tell if they saw me or not.

I got to Cassandra’s house just before 7, Cristine & bobby arrived at the same time. I had my veggie tray and some sprite for the party. The party was a red, white and blue as it was the 4th of July just a couple days ago so I wore my white skirt, aqua and blue and of course red nails and lipstick. I also tried something different and use different shades of blush on my eyes which actually turned out really well as it gave them a nice rosy pink color that I really liked, I may do this more. Kelly was the next to show up and for a while it was just the 5 of us.

A few more showed up around 8, Jim and Victoria so we were wondering if it was going to be a slow night. About 8:30 finally more started to show up and we had a good turnout. There was so much good food and Cassandra cooked up some Taquitos which were really good. Well I had my camera and wanted to make sure I got pictures of everyone who showed up for our group and I think I did. I even got some picture of myself as that is really important. This is me with Victoria she really did have on a red, white and blue outfit, all she needed were some stars.

Well as you can see in the picture the giant Jenga game so it was time to play a game. Several of us decide to play a game and it really is a lot of fun. If you have never played giant Jenga you should. We first played it when we went to Easy Street a couple years ago and had so much fun Cassandra bought her own set for parties.

Well we all sat around more and of course ate a little more. I did try to eat more of the fruit and vegetables along with my chips and dip. I really am trying to eat better just hard as cooking for one is never easy. Jan, Lynn, Jackie and Rose showed up. Jan and Lynn had matching outfits which is so cute. It was great to see them as they have not been out as much lately as they have a lot going on right now. Rose is really nice and it turns out she not only helps T-girls with hair and makeup but she has also done hair and makeup on I think movies and I know some TV shows. She actually did hair for some of the actors on one of the episodes on Grimm last year. Of course I had to get a picture with her also. She had on these really cute heels; they were a red color almost like the ruby shoes in the Wizard of Oz.

Well it was time to play Jenga again and this was the first time rose had ever played which is always fun when you have new players. Cassandra was bragging about never having knocked it over and lost. Well as you can guess one should never make comments like that. We were only on the second round with 5 players when Cassandra tried to pull on out close to the top, she didn’t knock the stack over but did knock a few off the top which is just the same so she has finally lost a game of Jenga.

Well as that game went so fast we played another on with the same group and we were all really trying hard. We were all pulling blocks from the bottom as that really makes the game interesting and hard. Oh the other thing we do on Jenga is each block has a number on it that gives a rule you have to follow like you have to pull the first block you touch or you only have 30 seconds to complete your turn. Well we were doing really well and the stack was getting really high and wobbly and it was my turn. I gentle pulled out a block and placed it on the top without knocking it over and then it was Cassandra’s turn and yes you guessed it. She pulled out a block that she says came out really easy and the whole thing collapsed. Now just so there is proof I did get a picture just a little late but you can see the blocks falling and the agony of defeat. Now I normally don’t put picture in my blog that I am not in but this was just such a good picture I had to include it. Plus this way Cassandra can never claim she didn’t knock it over as I have the photo to prove it.

Well it was a really fun night and I so enjoyed spending the evening with all my friends, a big thanks for Cassandra and Peggy for opening their home for our group to have a get together. Well after the last game of Jenga it was time for me to leave as it was almost midnight and this girl had to get up early the next morning.

This next week I am planning on going out Wednesday night for dinner with the group, also Friday and I hope I can get some of the girls to go out that night also. Next Saturday is our monthly outing to Harvey’s Comedy club and I am planning on going to that also so if all goes right I will have 3 nights out this week. I am also thinking it is time for a pedicure again as it has been over 2 months and my toes need some work to be pretty again. Any way I will of course blog about these outing too.

Thanks for reading and have a great week.

Cinco de Mayo party 2012

Well it is Saturday night and time for our yearly Cinco de Mayo party that Kathy, Mandie and Danielle; the three of them host it each year for the last three and do a wonderful job. Well as I don’t really have any outfits that would fit with Cinco de Mayo I decided to wear my black wig and do my makeup a little more dramatic. Now being a nice day I was worried some of my neighbors might be outside and as I know they have seen a blonde driving my car having black hair this time might cause them to really look a little closer but only a couple were out down the street and I really don’t know them that well so no problems.

It was a 45 minute drive but so worth the trip. I got there right at 6:30 and there were already a few girls there and they even had a DJ playing music. Now I was going to get lots of pictures and what better way than to start with our hostess Kathy, her and Danielle had matching dresses except that Danielle’s was pink and white and very cute, I really like pink. Well the party was already off to a great start. My first stop was the bar to get a drink and what better for Cinco de Mayo than a nice cold Sprite. I know not your normal party drink but then I am not a big drinker. From there it was time for some food. There was so much food and all looked so wonderful. They had all the makings for tacos which I love so I had a few never mind how many and of course they also had wonderful deserts which this girl could not pass up. Probably why I need to go on a diet.

More girls started to show up and by 7:30 the house was full, I think this was the biggest turnout that we have had at their home. Kristy showed up in a really cute black dress and she brought a friend she had gone to high school with. Her name was Jina. Kristy had come out to her and her husband a while back and they were totally okay with her dressing so she came to the party with her to meet all of us ladies. She was a lot of fun and I enjoyed talking with her and of course there had to be a picture. We also had the same color pink toenail polish. Over her shoulder is Christy she is Diane’s friend that came out Friday night and so nice. Any way Jina and I talked about her daughter and also about why I and some of the others dress, you know just your everyday girl talk. Still not sure about the black wig on me.

Peggy could not make the party but Cassandra had a life size picture of Peggy on the wall in the living room so all the girls took turns getting their picture taken with her so it was almost like she was there. Now there were two funny things at the party and names will be left out but I just have to include them. One of the girls in the kitchen had on these really awesome 6″ heels well on the wood floor her feet slipped and she fell back on her behind, didn’t get hurt but was a little embarrassed about it. I told her no one really saw it and after a bit no one would remember it which was true as about 30 minutes later another one of the girls went to go outside to the deck and didn’t see the screen door and walked right into it and put her heel right through it. These are all such great memories as we have all done things like this at one point or another.

Robyn from Seattle was down for the party which was really nice as she doesn’t get ton Portland that often so I really look forward to talking with her when I can. She was our bar tender for a while and did a great job. Sophia and Lorna also made it too which was nice, they get out every few weeks and always nice to see them and talk with them.

Lori was also there, she is Kathy and Mandie’s friend and is also totally okay with all us ladies. She is really awesome and fun to talk with. We had a good chance to talk in the kitchen for about 20 minutes or so. We had a good talk and I explained why I dress and about all the differences between the girls. We all share the love of dressing but the reasons we dress can very as we are a very diverse group. It really is cool that there are GG’s out there that are fine with a man expressing his feminine side.

Now I really made an effort to talk to everyone there at some point and for once I think I did get a chance to talk to everyone. I even met Rosalynda for the first time. She has gone out with the group before but not on nights I have been able to go out so it was nice to actually get a chance to talk with her.

Victoria Sinclair and Petra also showed up and it has been a log times since they have made it out with the group. It was so nice to chat with them. They also brought a girl I think her name was April who was in town and had Victoria give her a makeover. She looked really good and it was nice to meet her and chat with her for a bit.

Later on Brooke even showed up and so I had to get a picture with her also. It was nice to see her out again as she has been going through a lot lately. Now I am not sure how many showed up for the party but would guess at least 50 and yes we all had a wonderful time. I wish to Thank Kathy, Mandie and Danielle for opening their home for such a wonderful party. I often wonder what their neighbors must think with all these tall girls there.

Well it was getting late and time for me to leave so I said all my goodbyes. Rosalynda lives not far from me and on my way home so I gave her a ride which gave us a chance to talk a little more. She is really nice and I hope she comes out more with the group.

It was a fun night but went by way to fast. Next Saturday will be Harvey’s comedy club and of course our normal Friday night at the P-Club. I even hope to get to Starbucks again this week.

Thanks for reading and have a great week.

Saturday night social

Well it has been another long week and no time for Susan so I was really looking forward to Saturday night as Cassandra and Peggy have started having a monthly social. The social started at 7 which would mean leaving my house by 6, now today was a beautiful day out nice and sunny and warm so no need for a coat. I so love the sun shine as it just makes you feel so much better but then there are also problems as more people are out when it is nice. I was already to leave and looked out, my neighbor was mowing his yard and there were kids were out front playing in the street. Now a few years ago I would never have left hope completely dressed on such s sunny day with people outside for fear they would see me. Now I am not saying I still don’t have that same fear but I realize at some point no matter how cautious I am one of them is going to see me. So I am still cautious but I am unwilling to let it stop me from being who I am. With that I took a quick look outside and the kids had moved up the street a little in the opposite direction of how I would go so all I had to worry about was my neighbor mowing his lawn and I hoped that he was busy enough that he would not notice so I drove off.

I got to Cassandra & Peggy’s house about 6:45; Teresa was already there so I parked right behind her and went in. Cassandra was already but Peggy was finishing up her hair, I guess wigs are a little easier and faster than doing your own hair. We stood around and talked for a while, it was great to See Teresa again as she does not get out on Fridays very much.

Cassandra and I talked about Diva Las Vegas, she is defiantly going and Cristine is going with her. They will have such a fun time. I am still so sad I can’t go this year. It starts in 14 days so if you are interested in going not much time to sign up. It is strange though as I have no desire to transition or live full time as Susan but I do love spending the 10 days living full time. I also will not be able to get Acrylic nails for the trip which is something I really love. I will have to take a week off at some point before the end of the year and get them done. I really need a pedicure something else I was going to do before I went, I was talking to Peggy and we may try to go together and get pedicures in the next few weeks so that will be a lot of fun.

About 7:15 others started showing up, we were standing in the kitchen just talking and having a good time. I finally moved as I was standing right next to the chips and dip and as long as it was in reach I knew I would keep eating them. I guess that is why I am having trouble losing weight. A little while later we all chipped in some money and ordered some pizza from Dominos. Veronica and Teresa went and picked them up. Now I love Pizza but eating pizza without messing up your lipstick is a little difficult, in the end I had to put some more lipstick on which is okay and I managed not to smear it which is really what I was worried about. Being a girl is hard sometimes. After we ate the pizza I had piece of Peggy’s Chocolate cake, it was so good.

After we ate we started playing Jenga, Cassandra has a jumbo Jenga set which is always so much fun. We had so much fun, on the first game we got to 33 layers high before tipping it over, the next game was over on the 4 turn. It was just a really fun night. It is so awesome Cassandra and Peggy will open their home for us to all get together, You two are awesome and I want to thank you so much. I would guess we have 30 there and it was so nice to be able to visit with all my wonderful friends.

I had planned on staying till 12 as I had to get up early but we all know how that goes. I was having so much fun I just could leave, just one more game of Jenge which turned into 3 and before I knew it it was almost 1:30 so it was a short night. I said my goodbyes and left. Such a fun night.

This next week I really want to go out to Starbucks even though they are closing early because of their remodel, may try for Wednesday night if I can get there by 6 so I still have a couple hours. I aqlso will be out at the P-Club next Friday which is always fun and Saturday the group is going to Harvey’s comedy club so I also plan on doing that so hopefully will have 3 nights out this week.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.

Super Bowl Party at Cassandra & Peggy’s

Well Super Bowl weekend is here and it is time for the big fun. Not so much the game but the Rose City T-Girls Super Bowl party. This is the 3rd year Cassandra and Peggy have hosted a Super Bowl party at their home. How wonderful is that they will open their home to our group, we love you two.

Well I was running late as normal so I had to rush to get ready. Yes again under an hour from start to finish of course I knew what I was wearing my white skirt and black top as I think it is so cute. I also knew how I was doing my makeup so that helps. I was ready to leave by 1 pm now the problem was it was a really sunny Sunday afternoon and would you believe it a couple of my neighbors were out mowing their yards, it’s winter grass does not grow, any way I was not about to wait so I just drove off. I kind of watched them and they never seemed to look towards my car so don’t think they saw me.

I got to Cassandra and Peggy’s house just before 2 and had to park just down the street and walk up. I really wonder what their neighbors think when they see all these tall girls in high heels going to their home. Well I went in and there were already about 20 people there. Well I went around and said hi to everyone, some it has been a long time since I have seen them and even a few new friends to meet. Well to start I got out my camera as what party would be complete without pictures so yes there will be several pictures in this blog.

I got to Meet Sandy as she came down from Olympia just for the Party. She is really nice and looks really good. It was nice to talk with her and get to know her better. I got a picture with her and Dana (Sandy left, Susan middle and Dana on the right). I have known Dana for awhile but she does not get out very often when I am out so it was great to see her again and talk with her. The three of us chatted for a bit and then it was time to play Jenga, if you have never played it is a blast and Cassandra bought the big blocks, they are the size of bricks. It was so much fun and I was not the one to knock it over even though I thought I would. The person right after me knocked it down. Just so you will understand the size of this game I will include a couple small pictures. These blocks could break a toe especially if you are wearing open toe heels. Maybe we should come up with steel toed heels for this, but then who would see are pretty toe nails.

There was so much food, Chris made his Clam Chowder which is awesome and also hot wings which I am sure were just as good but hey I am a girl I can’t eat messy food and risk messing up my lipstick or getting something under my long pretty figure nails, beauty first. Jan made a pot roast which was really good also. Peggy made this fantastic bread dish, it was a round loaf of bread cut in a checkerboard design and then had bacon, melted cheese and butter on it, so wonderful but I never asked about the calories as it is Super Bowl weekend and calories don’t count. There was so much food and it was all so good. I brought my normal Vegetable tray and some pop to drink. I really did eat more then I should have especially when they opened the apple pie. After that I did try to be good and stayed away from the chips and went to the apple slice tray as that is healthy, sliced apples dipped in caramel, yum.

When the game started you could tell who the football fans were as they were in the big room watching the game while the rest were in the other room talking about important things like makeup, clothes, wigs and the like. Yes I was in this group as I am not a real big football fan.

Once again the cameras came out and I got a picture with Kristy. Now she has crossdressed for many years but only been coming out in public for a little over a month now and boy has she gown in herself confidence. She actually came out to almost everyone she know which really took some guts, something I just cannot do. She also had on this really cute black and white dress. We had a good discussion about lipstick and how to keep it on. I told her how I do my lipstick which I posted in my last blog and it really does stay on really well. Even when I got home tonight my lipstick was still good. It is so much fun talking girly things.

We had a really good turnout; I would guess 40 to maybe 50 of us there. It is so nice to spend the afternoon and evening with such wonderful friends. The game was good and it was a close one from the yelling I could hear in the other room, Cassandra even had a couple football boards, you pick squares and then based on the points at the end of each quarter and game you can win money. No skill involved as the squares are picked before numbers are drawn so it really is blind luck to win. Not since I know nothing of football and being blonde this is my kind of bet so I put $20 in and sure enough in the 3rd quarter I won. Yep you guessed it I won $20 so I broke even which for me is a win.

After the game more pictures were taken and I got one with Amy. We both had on black tops which made us almost look like sisters. I just need to get her to wear high heels so I don’t tower over her so much, makes me look like a giant next to her. It was such a fun night I was sad to see it end but as I have to be up early for work it was time to leave. I said my goodbye’s about 8 and I left. Now as I said I parked just a couple houses down the street and what I left out is Cassandra and Peggy live on a hill. Now walking up the hill in 4″ heels was actually easy as the heels almost made it like walking flat but going down was another story. I bet the steepness of the hill made it feel like I was walking on 7″ heels I was almost falling forward and could only take very small dainty steps. It took what seemed like forever to walk to my car as I was doing my best to walk femininely and not fall on my face. Hope no one saw me.

Well I would like to Thank Cassandra and Peggy again for a wonderful party and opening their home. You two are awesome.

Well it is almost 10 and I have to be up for work in 6 hours so must be off to bed, thanks for reading and have a great week.

Rose City T-girl Winter Gala

Well Saturday night was our 3rd annual Winter Gala, Kathy and Mandie open there home each year and host this wonderful party with the help of Danielle and I am sure others. I have been looking forward to this for weeks now. I wore my long black dress which I got for the T-Girl pageant 2 years ago. I really don’t have much of a chance to wear it as this is only the second time. Now the funny thing is when I wore it last at the pageant I had help and really never thought about it but being a tight dress I found it hard to zip up the back by myself. Took a little work but I did manage to get it on. Getting into the car and driving was also a challenge in a long dress. I guess I will just have to wear it more to get use to it.

I got to their home just before 6 pm and there were already people there. They had so much food set out and a friend making drinks at their bar, their friend who’s name escapes me I have met before as she has come out with them with the group a few time. She had on the cutes outfit, kind of a miss clause look so I had to get a picture with her. The first and only picture I got as my batteries went dead, I guess I really am blonde as I should have taken extra batteries but there were lots of other cameras there so I will have other pictures. The food they had was awesome, so delicious and so much they really out did themselves.

We had a good turn out; I would guess 40 made it to the party including Teresa who joined us on Skype from Thailand. She had SRS surgery a week ago and is not recovering over there for a few more weeks. It was good to see her even if only on the computer. It really is amazing what technology can do now days. There were a few girls that only come out to the parties so it was good to see them again.

Jessica and Trisha (Trisha was in male mode) also made it. I would never have recognized Trisha if it had not been for her wife with her. I give her a lot of credit for this as it is still something I can’t do. Now there are a few friends that have seen me as my male self and a few others I would be totally comfortable meeting that way but still don’t think I could just show up in front of so many as my male self. It was good to see them again and get time to talk to them. They are an awesome couple and Jessica is so supportive of Trisha. We only met a little while ago but we have become good friends as they have a way to make you feel so welcome and at ease.

Robyn a t-girl from Seattle was also there. I met her at the Halloween party and she joined our group so she came down for the party and I got a chance to talk with her also. She has also started to go to Starbucks up by her house.

Jenn also made it; I first met her at the Halloween party to. She also has an accepting wife which is awesome. She also has only been out a few times and never out in public. I hope she will come out more with the group to the P-Club, she also lives not far from the Starbucks I go to so maybe someday we can meet there.

Cassandra and her wife Peggy were there of course, Cassandra brought her laptop so we could Skype with Teresa that way we could see her and she could see all of us. Peggy and Jessica both had on the same cute black dress. Jessica had added some sparkle to hers so they did look a little different but Peggy was the one who realized it.

Wow so many wonderful friends were at the party and everyone looked so pretty. The dresses that were there were awesome. It was a perfect night. Jan won the contest for the highest heels at 4 ½ inches. We also had our T-Girl walk; we all one at a time descended the stairs, at the bottom we gave our name and curtsied then sat down in a chair. All the GG’s judged us on this and in the end Marla won. She really did come down the stairs well. It is funny as a guy you don’t think about such things but as a girl descending stairs in 4″ heel and a long dress is a challenge. I will have to work on this more for next year’s party.

Most of the night we just sat and chatted which I really do enjoy plus since I had on 4″ heels sitting was good as I went the whole night without removing them. The white room where they have their Christmas tree is where I spent most of the night, Peggy, Jessica, Trisha, Victoria, Jan, Lynn and Robyn were all there and we just chatted four hours. It really is funny how fast the night went. Soon it was midnight and we all wondered where the time went. People started to leave and the night was coming to an end. I didn’t want the night to end but knew it had to as I had to be up early Sunday morning. It was about 12:30 when I started saying goodnight to all my wonderful friends. It was truly a magical night and I lo0ok forward to the next party and the next time I get to see my friends.

A big thanks to Kathy and Mandie for opening their home for such a grand party. You two are awesome.

Halloween Party 2011

Well I have been looking forward to this for weeks. Even with working out my costume the night before it still took me over an hour to do my makeup and get my costume on just the way I wanted. My costume is a dance hall girl, and yes there will be pictures included. I left my house at 4 pm which was interesting as they had an open house at the house across the street they are trying to sell so there was maybe 15 people walking around looking at it both inside and out but hey they didn’t know me at least not yet. I got to Cassandra and Peggy’s house at 5 pm as I had some food and wanted to help set up.

I walked in and Peggy was just coming down the stairs and we just looked at each other. We had both picked out dance hall girl costumes. The dresses were a little different but the hair feather, petticoats, fishnet stockings, garter belt & 4 inch heels were all the same. The funny part is when I picked out my costume they had two dresses that fit me, the one I picked and the other was pretty much the same as Peggy’s. We looked like sisters except I was the rather tall sister. There were only a few people there at this time and the decorations in the house were awesome, Peggy must have worked for days doing them. Soon people started to show up. This year there was a cover charge which really made since; Cassandra and Peggy spend a lot of their own money and time putting this party on. It was only $15 but for that you got all you could eat and drink and if needed you could crash on their floor and get breakfast in the morning so a very good value and I am sure it came nowhere close to what they spend. Just the prizes probably came to a couple hundred bucks.

Well before it got dark we all went outside and started to take some pictures. This is Victoria and me; I like this picture because it is the only one that shows my legs. I wore fishnets for the first time and a garter belt. I just thought it was a great picture and Victoria looked so cute in her costume. Victoria really looks good in Green. There were so many pictures being taken, even Diane had her camera and she took a tone of pictures so I hope she will post them at some point to the group and I will maybe add them to the post later. All my pictures can be seen on my web page and my face book page but I have picked out 3 to include in my blog.

There was also Karaoke again this year. Morgan one of our members did the Karaoke and did an awesome job and yes I did sing one song, Mama Mia. What can I say I like ABBA. Not sure I would ever sing in a public setting but here in this small setting it was fun. There were several girls that did a great job singing.

Jennifer and her wife made it to the party which was great as I have only e-mailed her. I think she said this was only her third time out. It was great to meet her and get to talk with her. Jennifer’s wife is so nice and supportive of her which is great. I hope they can both come out with the group. She had a cute costume and it was nice to get a picture with someone taller than me.

Rachel and her boyfriend came again this year, their costumes were great, and they were both ballerina’s Rachel the black swan and her boyfriend the white swan. They were awesome. Last year their costumes were Star Trek. Rachel made both their costumes and did a great job.

Rachael Miller and her wife came to the party for a little bit. I have known Rachael for many years so it was great to see her and to finally meet her wife. I got to talk to both of them for a while which was nice. Rachael’s wife had a great costume.

Kim, one of Peggy’s friends was also there and had this amazing sexy costume, she was a dead hoe. I had to get a picture with her. She was voted the sexiest costume at the party. She has gone out with the group several times and is always so nice. We had a chance to talk for a while which was nice, would like to have talked to her more. Hopefully she will come out more with the group.

The party was awesome and I think they tried to get a count but haven’t heard the final numbers but would guess 60 to 70 as some came and went so not everyone was there all at the same time. And there were so many great costumes.

There was so much food and drink even though all I drink is pop but at one point they ran out of ice so Peggy asked me to drive her to the store to get more. I was only too happy to as it gave me a chance to go out to the store in my costume plus Peggy had the same costume so us two dance hall girls got in my car and went to the grocery store. It was fun even though they were not that busy and there was no one else in costumes. On the way out as we were getting to my car we got a couple cat calls from a guy and girl getting out of their car.

The party was so much fun and I want to thank Peggy and Cassandra for such a wonderful party and opening up their house again this year for the best Halloween party in town. You two are awesome and I am so lucky to call you friends.

Halloween Costume

Well I picked up my Halloween costume today after work and spent all evening trying different looks, makeup and wigs to find the best look. I think I did about 12 different looks before I found the one I like the best. I am all ready for the party tomorrow night. It was a good idea to try this tonight as I spent probably 4 hours working out the right look. Now tomorrow I will be able to get ready in a reasonable amount of time.

I am so looking forward to the Party with all my friends. It will be such fun. I plan on stopping at the grocery store on the way to the party to pick up a veggie and fruit tray for the party. I like to bring something and also gives me the chance to go out in public in my costume. I plan on taking lots of pictures so I can post them.

You can read about the last two Halloweens and the parties I went to in my blog, 2010 & 2009.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend and if you go to Halloween parties have fun and take lots of pictures.

Cold night before New Years

Well I did make it out tonight but later than I hoped. I was running late all day as I was really busy at work so I got home late and by the time Susan was ready it was too late to really go shopping and as it is really cold, about 29 right now something warm to drink sounded good so yes you all guessed it. I am back at Starbuck’s. 2 nights in a row but that is okay as I have some work I need to finish on my computer by tomorrow so just a quick post and then I must get busy. If I can finish it tonight I have all day free tomorrow (Friday) so I may just go shopping then. That would be a fun way to close out the year.

It is so hard to believe that the year ends tomorrow night, 2010 went by so fast and was such a great year. Susan had so much fun this past year and really gained her self confidence with the help of some really wonderful friends some of which I met this past year and some I have known longer. So as I close out the year I thought I would look back through some of my blogs and see what all Susan did and accomplished in 2010 after all that was why I started my blog so I would have a record of Susan. The biggest part of the year was all my awesome friends I have. Most of whom I met through the group I belong to (Rose_City_T-Girls). I joined the group in the summer of 2008 when there were only about 20 members. Funny I can remember Cassandra telling me “Wouldn’t it be great if we could get to 100 members someday” well the group grew faster than she ever thought and not only did we get to 100 members but we are well on our way to 200 as we have 186 to close out the year. And it really is a good group as most are active in the group and a good percentage go out on a regular basis. The Halloween party Cass and Peggy through we think had around 100 people at it. This group was such a good idea and I know I would not be where I am or the girl I am without it. The members are truly my best friends.

Diva Las Vegas last spring was so fun. It is funny as I have a blog post from several years ago I stumbled across where I talked about how I wanted to go to Las Vegas and go out one night and gamble as Susan. It was kind of a goal I guess. Well this past year I did that in a big way as I not only went there and went out as Susan, I did the whole trip from start to finish as Susan living 24/7 for 11 days. It was so much fun and something a year ago I would have never thought I would do. I went down with Cassandra & Peggy for the week stopping in LA on the way down and back for a night out there and we all had so much fun. The 3 of us are planning on going again this year and trying to talk a few of the other girls in the group into going. It truly was a vacation of a lifetime and Diva Las Vegas 2011 is only 3 months away, April 3 through 8 in case any of you reading my blog are thinking of going.

My weekly trips to Starbuck’s which really just started out as a way to see if I would have the courage to go out someplace by myself as Susan has turned into a weekly outing that I really miss on the weeks I could not get out. Instead of sitting at home doing things on my computer, work, e-mail, surfing the net and even updating my blog being out in public at Starbuck’s makes it so much more fun and although I do have my favorite Starbuck’s that I go to almost all the time I did manage to go to about 15 others over the last year and must say so far everyone has treated me very well so if you are looking for a place to go I would recommend finding a Starbuck’s.

I also made it out with all my friends almost every Friday night and we did go to some new places, some worked out and some didn’t but the experience was great. I think that is what makes life fun, trying new things and great friends. On Fridays no matter what is going on at work or life in general just knowing I will get to spend time with all my friends in the group puts a smile on my face all day. I hope they all know how special they all are to me. We have also had some fantastic parties this year, Super Bowl, Valentines, Halloween, Christmas and a few others that were really just parties to get together. Cassandra & Peggy and Also Kathy & Mandy hosted them at their homes which was so awesome. They just opened their homes to the group and in almost every case covered the whole cost of the party which was way beyond what they should have done. They are truly special people.

I also went out to the movies a couple times by myself which at the time was just about being out and again seeing if I would have the courage to go in. it was fun but I think going to the movies would be better with others. You really don’t see many people going by themselves. Might be something I could see if some of the girls from the group would like to do. Also this year Susan did a lot of shopping. Just being out was what was important, looking at clothes, makeup, shoes or even just doing my weekly grocery shopping. As Susan even the mundane daily stuff is more fun. It is so strange the difference between how men and woman shop. Even still as a guy I want to get in get what I need and leave but when I am Susan I like to look around even if I don’t plan on buying anything, Susan can wonder around a store and have fun doing it. I ended up increasing Susan’s wardrobe this year by quite a bit mostly because of my trip to Diva Las Vegas and I am planning on buying more clothes for this year’s trip to Diva Las Vegas which will give Susan an excuse to go shopping.

I have also made some friends online, girls I may never meet but still fun to chat with and e-mail back and forth. Some from Flickr, or my Facebook page or even my blog. It is strange the bond you can have with someone who shares the same things you do whether here in Portland, across the country or on the other side of the world. The internet really brings people together in a way a few years ago was not possible.

It truly has been the best year of Susan’s life so far and I am sad to see the year come to an end but I know that next year, 2011 will be even better. The friendships I have made will last a lifetime and as the years go by I am sure we will become even closer. I really consider the girls in the group more like family, Sister if you will. I think of all the fun times we will have together and it puts a smile on my face.

I want to thank all my great friends that I have met along the way as you are the reason Susan is who she is today, you are all awesome in your own way. I hope you all have a happy, safe and wonderful New Year and please take a moment to think about everything good in your life and the things that are wrong or bad put aside as the good is what counts. Friends and family not money or possessions. A person with good friends is rich beyond belief.
Happy New Years to all

Hugs to all of you

Susan

Holiday Gala for our group

Well Saturday night was awesome. We had our holiday gala for our group the Rose_city_T-girls. Kathy and Mandie put it all together at their house with the help of Danielle how wonderful they are for doing this, you three rock.

I started getting ready for the party at 4:15 as I needed to leave my house by 6 to be there by 7 and I wanted to take a little more time getting ready to look my best, I am such a girl. I didn’t get a chance to go shopping for a new dress so I decided to wear my little black dress as it has been a while sense I wore it last and I like the way I look in it. I also really enjoy the getting ready and doing my makeup.

I got to the party just a few minutes before 7 and went in. they were collecting food for the Oregon food bank at the party which I thought was a wonderful idea. They put these parties on and don’t ask for anything to come, the amount of food and drinks they had must have cost a small fortune and I am sure everyone would be willing to throw in some money to help offset the cost. Any way they had so much food and it was all so delicious and I am sure I put on a few LB’s, really need to start exercising and watching what I eat more, guess that will be my New Year’s resolution.

There were so many people there I will not even try to name them all, some were new to the group and some I have not met before but I would guess we had 40 to 50 people at the party. I think I talked with everyone at the party at least for a bit as I really wanted to meet everyone. It was so much fun talking with everyone and getting to know everyone a little better. One of the t-girls brought her wife who had a birthday on December 12 so a little after midnight we all sang Happy Birthday to her.

Some of the girls had on such beautiful dressed and everyone looked so great. I think it made it nice to have a place we could all get dressed up for a night. We go out all the time but really don’t go anyplace we can get all dressed up. I think that is one of the most fun things about being Susan. Women are so lucky as they have all the pretty clothes and style. Teresa had on a beautiful long black dress so I had to get a picture with her as I also had a black dress, just such a cute picture.

It was so much fun to spend the evening with all my wonderful friends, we talked about everything from nails to makeup tips to how we got the names we have all chosen. Cassandra and I talked to several girls on how we do our nails using mounting tape we buy at Home depot, who would have ever thought you could get beauty supplies at Home Depot. I can just see that in their next commercial. The funny thing is most of use picked our names from someone we knew, a girlfriend or a girl we liked or thought was pretty but however we chose our feminine name the one great thing about being transgender is we all got to pick our names

It was amazing how fast the night went I stayed till 1:20 even though I planned on leaving no later than 1 as I had to be to work Sunday morning at 7 am but I was having such a wonderful time and Brooke called and was almost there so I stayed long enough for her to get there  so I could see here and her dress. We took lots of pictures. I have posted one on my Flicker page and the rest in my live profile (they have a lot more room for pictures).

I just want to give a big thanks to Kathy, Mandi and Danielle for a wonderful time. You three are awesome and we all are so grateful for all you did.

Halloween Party 2010

Well last night’s party was awesome. To start my costume was a female Robin Hood and very cute I thought. I took extra time getting ready and did a really good job on my eyes, more dramatic. Now on my way to the party I just had to stop at Albertson’s and pick up some veggie tray’s and candy. Now I know I could have gotten them earlier but what fun would that be. I wanted to go shopping in my costume as it was just too cute to not be out in public. I am sure I got a few looks but who cares it is Halloween.

I got to the party about 6:45 and there were already 20 people or more there and I thought I would be early. The house was all decorated for the party. Peggy had done a fantastic job and had a theme for each room. It was truly awesome and she way out did herself, great job Peggy and thanks. There was so much food and drinks Cassandra and Peggy threw a truly awesome party and me and all the girls in the group really really appreciated it. I hope they know how much, you two truly rock.

It was hard to tell how many people were there as some came and left early and others came late but the best guess would at least 75 to 80 maybe more. The costumes were all so great and fun and some were really good. We had Star Trek, Wizard of OZ, pirates, Vampires and so many more and of course there were so many pictures taken. I have posted my best pictures on my Flickr page and the rest on my Live profile. Please feel free to check them out.

There was even a costume contest and it was hard to pick which one you liked the best, of course I am a Star Trek fan so that was my vote. But really all the costumes were really cute, Peggy in her Pirates costume and there was another girl with a really cute Pirate costume which you can see in my pictures. Cassandra also had prizes for the best costumes. It was so much fun.

The highlight of the evening was Karaoke. Cassandra hired Suzanne, her and her husband do Karaoke at Embers on Sunday night. Her husband had another party he was doing. Suzanne was wonderful and made it so much fun. And I know the big question everyone is asking, Did I or didn’t I sing. Well the answer is yes even though I don’t drink so I was totally sober I put my name in and gave it a try. Sense we were at a private party and among friends I worked up the courage and sang Thank you for the music by ABBA. Here is a picture to prove it. It was actually fun although I don’t think I would do it out in public. And yes Cassandra also had prizes for best singing, best performance and worst singing, I can’t believe how much she did for this party and I hope she knows how much we all appreciated it. I didn’t win any prizes which was fine as it was just a fun night all around

I stayed till 1:45 and the party was still going maybe 25 girls still there. It was truly a fantastic night. This group, the Rose_City_T-girls is truly wonderful and are some of my best friends.

One last thing is a big big thanks to Cassandra and Peggy, you two are awesome and my best friends. Love you both

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween
