My life as a heterosexual crossdresser.

A rare Sunday night out for dinner.

well it is rare for me to get out on a Sunday night but things worked out tonight as I don’t have to work early Monday. I have a friend in town for a couple day and we have only talked online so it was a chance to meet her. We are both members of the Vanity Club and have been friends on Facebook for a few year. Her name is Stephanie Shostak and she lives in Canada. It is amazing how the internet brings people together. She has actually came to Portland a few times before but I wasn’t able to get out those times but tonight I was going to make it. It was a rush though, one of my faster times getting ready. I got home just a little after 6 and it was a rush from the time I walked into the house. I think the key was not thinking to much about getting ready, I knew what I was going to wear and just how I would do my makeup and that always help. I was on my way and downtown Portland parking my car right at 7.

We were meeting at Hobos for dinner. I have gone here for dinner several times over the years and they really do have good food and service. Now I knew Stephanie would be there but I wasn’t sure who else was coming. II t was a 2 block walk from where I parked but a nice night so I didn’t mind. I got there and Stephanie and Gina were already there. I have met Gina before I had dinner with her and Stefia so it was good to see her again. It was really nice to finally meet Stephanie.

We talked for a while and waited to see if anyone else would make it tonight. It was nice to talk and get to know her in person. No one else made it so we ordered dinner and had a wonderful time just talking. There is just something special about a girls night out enjoying a nice meal and engaging in good conversation. Being just the 3 of us it gave us a good chance to get to know each other better.

Stephanie, me and Gina (1)It is amazing how fast the time past and soon it was 10 pm. Of course we had to get some pictures. Our waitress who was awesome took several pictures of us on our phones. It was sad to see the night come to an end but I was so wonderful toStephanie, me and Gina (2) finally meet her. I really have met some wonderful people as Susan and am really am thankful that Susan is part of my life because without her I would have missed out on meeting so many wonderful friends.

I am looking forward to her next visit and also getting together with Gina again. It was a wonderful night.

Dinner out with Stefia and Gina

Well Thursday night after a day of shopping I was meeting Stefia for dinner. I was just finishing up my blog about shopping today at a Starbuck’s in the mall when Stefia arrive. It was great to see her again. We still hadn’t decided where we were going for dinner. Well turns out Gina was also going to be out tonight and wanted to join us which was a great idea. I have met her ones or twice before but a couple years back so it would be nice to see her again. Since we were at Clackamas Town Center we decided to meet for dinner at California Pizza which is here at the mall at 7:15 so Gina would have time to get here which left Stefia and I about 40 minutes to kill and what better way than a little more shopping.

We walked down the mall to Macy’s which I have never really shopped at as they are a higher end store like Nordstrom’s well it turns out they have markdown racks too, who knew. What a great deal, better quality clothes and markdown prices. Well Stefia shops here a lot as she knew just where to go. They had several racks marked 50 to 70 % off and then on the sign you got an extra 30% off that price at the register. I found this really cute ¼ sleeve black and white top that was really long, I could almost use it as a really short dress well maybe if I was 2 inches shorter and I also found a really cute black and white dress and both were $20.99 and I got another 30% off at the register so I had to buy them. They were actually cheaper than the dresses I bought at Ross.

Well it was time to go meet Gina so we walked out of Macy’s and across an open air promenade to California Pizza and Gina was already there. It was great to see her again. Well we got a booth and started talking which is always fun. Our waiter actually came back 4 times before we were ready to order. Now we were talking about dessert already so I decided I would be good so I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, I actually ordered the half salad which turned out to be a full size plate, so glad I didn’t order the full salad.

We had a lovely dinner and great conversation. It was great to catch up with Stefia and Gina. I really like this type of outings as you get some really good quality time to talk with no distractions. Well after we were done Gina asked our waiter if he would take a picture of us and he was only too happy to so we all got our cameras out. We got some really cute pictures but I think this was the best. From left to right is Stefia, Gina and Susan.

Well now we had the big decision, dessert, where did we want to go. Now this is a big choice so we took a few minutes discussing it and then finally decided to walk next door to Dave and Busters BBQ so Gina could see the inside and check out their dessert menu. Well we walked around only to find they weren’t open. It looks like they are still finishing up building it. so we had to go to plan B which was to go to Claim Jumpers which is over across the parking lot so Gina drove over as she parked by California Pizza and Stefia and I walked back through Macy’s to our car and then we drove over so we would be closer after all it was 9:45 and dark out.

We went in and sat at a booth in the bar. Gina ordered a drink and it was such a cute drink we all took pictures with it which was Gina’s idea and they came out cute. I am not sure what it was maybe a Kahlua but if it tasted as good as it looked then it was wonderful.

Now we had the hard choice of what to order for dessert, they have an awesome dessert menu here so we took our time. Now as the items that Gina and Stefia had ordered at California Pizza were just as big as my salad and we were all a little full we decided to order 2 deserts to split between the 3 of us.

After a little though we settled on a Carrot cake and the Italian Lemon cake. Our waitress brought us the desert and 3 plates. The pieces of cake were huge. There is no way I could have eaten a whole piece by myself so we made the right choice to split.

Now I love Lemon cake but have never been a big fan of Carrot cake as I find them dry at least the ones I have had before. The Carrot cake here was really good, it was moist and had a great taste. Well we each cut off a piece of each cake and still had some left for someone to have seconds, and of course we took a couple more pictures with us with our desserts. We should have gotten a picture of them before we cut them up.

Well we sat and talked some more as we enjoyed our desserts which was nice as we got to know each other better. That is one of the harder things about this as we are still guarded about who we really are so it is nice when you reach that point of trust where you feel you can open up about who you are. I really have met so many wonderful people and have become so comfortable as Susan that now I feel I don’t have to separate the two sides. I can be more of a complete whole person with them.

It is amazing how much fun we had just talking and how fast the time pasted. Soon we looked around and we were the only ones still there as a matter of fact they had people vacuuming on the far side of the restaurant. It was time for our night to come to an end which is always sad.

Gina picked up the bill for Dessert which was nice of her, Thank Gina. Well of course we had to have at least one more group picture so Gina got our waitress to take a couple more pictures of us. Now remember at this point I have been out as Susan for over 12 hours with no touchups to my makeup other than a little powder so I am pretty happy with the way I look. Then we headed out, Stefia set her camera up at the front. She has an app on her cell phone that can control her camera so we all posed and he used her phone to take the pictures. We must have taken 10 pictures in the lobby.

It was 10:45 when we left the restaurant and the funny thing is when we left they locked the door behind us so we closed them down. Really it was awesome of them to let us sit there and talk while they were actually closed and cleaning up instead of asking us to leave. I have to give them a big thumbs up.

So here is my review, both California Pizza and Claim Jumpers are awesome places to go. Good food and wonderful staff. What a wonderful evening I had with two wonderful ladies I am glad to have as friends.

Thanks for reading.

A new place on Friday 52nd street sports bar

Well it was another busy week and as always I was looking forward to Friday night out with my friends. We were meeting at the 52nd street sports bar off of Sandy in Portland at 7 pm. Now we heard about this place from Scotty one of the bar tenders at FOX & Hound, he knew the bar manager here and had talked to her about us getting kicked out of the P-Club and she told him to tell us to come there we would be welcome, how cool is that. Her name is Brenda and she really is awesome.

Well I was all ready to leave by 6:45 and no signs of my neighbors so off I went. As I pulled out on the street just a few houses down 5 of the neighbor kids were riding their bikes down the street towards me and nothing I could do but keep going. Hopefully they were too interested in riding to pay much attention to me in the car. There was a little more traffic tonight so took me a little longer to get there so it was about 7:30 when I arrived. I found a parking spot on the street just a little way down from the door. Now there is always a little rush going in someplace totally new but not like it use to be a few years back. It use to be I would sit in the car and watch who was coming and going and who was around and build the courage to get out of the car. Now it is just get out and go and the rush is to see how people accept me or look at me but still fun to go to a new place.

Chris, Cassandra, Amy, Cristine and Bobbie were already there. I think it is just a little bigger than the Sweethome bar we went to the last couple weeks but it may just be the layout inside seemed more open. There were maybe 10 to 15 other people there also and it turns out Cassandra and Cristine got there about 5:30. We ordered some food and played some pool and yes I lost but had fun doing it. Bob, Samantha, Michelle and Alizabeth also showed up while we were eating.

A couple GG’s at the next table started talking to us, actually Chris was trying to download some music on their juke box and couldn’t get it to work so they helped us. Well we got talking to them and had a great time. Their names were Heather and Suzanne. They told us how great we looked and one never gets tired of hearing they look pretty at least I don’t. Somehow we got on to age and I of course told them I was sure I was older than they were and they both said they were older then I thought and Suzanne wanted to bet. Turns out I should have bet as I was a year older than Suzanne and 6 years older than Heather so I guess I still look good for a 48 year old of course the makeup helps a lot. Well Suzanne wanted a picture with me and you all know how much I love getting my picture taken, I couldn’t get my camera fast enough, this is me and Suzanne. They seemed totally okay with our group being there.

Jan, Lynn, Jenn, Kelly and Robyn showed up also so now we had 15 of us there. This was really good considering we were at a new place that we had never been to before. It was nice to get a chance to talk with everyone but as we were spread across 3 tables I kept moving from table to table. I chatted with Samantha for a bit, she had tried doing her nails the way I do but the tape wouldn’t hold. Turns out she bought the regular mounting tape and not the Scots indoor outdoor mounting tape, this tape is water proof and holds up so much better, you can see a picture of the tape in my blog “Great idea for fast beautiful nails“.

I also got to talk with Jenn which was nice as it has been about 6 weeks since we have both been out at the same time. It was nice to catch up on what is new, she has come out to her whole family about Jenn even though she is not yet full time yet. The funny thing is she has told all her neighbors about it but they are never out when she leaves and she keeps hoping they will be so they can see her. I on the other hand none of my neighbors know and it seem almost every time I leave they are out or around and I don’t want them to see me, funny how that works.

Got to talk with Jan and Lynn as it was nice to see them out, they are such a wonderful couple. Jan and I played doubles against a couple guys, don’t remember their names but they asked us to play. Jan and I won both games, we had a good time and they thanked us for the game. Jan did make an awesome shot, she had to shoot to the far end of the table and bounce it back to the same end between their balls and the two we had left. She called the one ball in the corner and in fact she hit it so perfect she split them and both went in opposite corners. I don’t think we could have set it up to do that, great shot. A couple other guys came up and wanted to play us their names were Rob and Jesse and they were good. They beat us 3 games in a row but we had fun. The fourth game was ours, we actually did really well and in the end we won and they had not sunk a ball.

At 10 they also do Karaoke here, Chris sang a couple songs. A couple GG’s came over, their names were Debbie and Gina. They chatted with us for awhile. Debbie asked Chris to sing the song boys of summer I think which he did. We had a lot of interaction with the people here and they seemed fine with us, most of the time actually almost all of the time they came to us to talk so it wasn’t like we were forcing the issue with them which made it nice.

Brenda the bar tender was awesome and so nice, she was a little over worked with us there as it was a lot more business but she did great. She told us we were welcome there any time which made us feel good. Even several of the regular customers, both male and female told us the same and hoped we would come back. Debbie came back over latter just to tell me her and her friend Gina thought I was very beautiful. I never get tired of hearing as it makes you feel so wonderful inside. It really was a fun night. I think we are still going to go to different places instead of the same one every week just to mix it up some though but I am sure we will be back here again. If you are looking for a friendly neighborhood bar check out 52nd street sports bar.

Not sure if I will get out this week during the week but I will be out next Friday as we meet with our Attorney Friday between 3 & 5 which I hope to be there by 3 and then also Saturday we should do our monthly trip to Harvey’s comedy club which is always so much fun. Thanks for reading.
