My life as a heterosexual crossdresser.

Wednesday night out for dinner

Well it is Wednesday night and I really hadn’t planned on going out but Cassandra sent a text to the group and wanted to know if we wanted to put $5 in on some Powerball tickets as a group. The jackpot was 550 million dollars so I figured I had to take a chance. Cassandra was going to buy the tickets all we had to do was get her our money so it was an excuse to go out not that I really needed one. Besides it would be nice to go out to dinner with my awesome friends.

I made it downtown by 6:30 and several of the girls were already there, Chris, Roxy, Michelle, Cristine, Cassandra, Kim, Victoria and Amy. I got Cassandra my $5 and I was in. we had a blast talking about what we would all do if we won the jackpot even though we all knew we probably wouldn’t it was fun to think about it.

Well we all moved to a table and ordered dinner as we kept talking about and having a good time. It was after 7 and Cassandra wanted to check the tickets and I just kept saying let’s wait after all till we checked the tickets we were all winners and having so much fun. Cassandra finally couldn’t take it anymore and went and checked our tickets and we won, well $4 which was better than nothing. Since we had 18 of us put in $5 we had agreed to take our winnings and buy another ticket.

Even though we didn’t win we still had a wonderful time. It was fun to spend some time with them and have a great evening out but as always the night went by so fast. Soon it was after 9 and the group was going over to CC Slaughters and it was time for me to head home. I really do have some awesome friends.

Friday meeting with our attorney and then a night out with friends.

Well another Friday and time to spend time with friends. Now today was a busy day as our attorney was going to meet with us at 3 pm at Fox & Hound along with some of the people who wanted to protest the P-Club and maybe some people from the media. Now for me this was hard as I had to work today and didn’t get home from work till a little after 1:30 and Susan takes just a bit longer to get read. But as I planned for this I was ready and walking out the door at 2:30. I parked my car and walked into Fox & hound right at 3 pm and there was already a group there. Cassandra, Victoria, Beth our attorney, Chris, Amy, Cristine, Erin Rook a reporter from PQ monthly and Veronica. Just a few minutes behind me were Jan & Lynn and also Tim & Mer (they were the ones who planned the facebook protest against the P-Club).

Beth updated us on what was going on and how she wanted things to proceed and as our attorney we need to follow her. She brought up her concerns about the protest they had planned and thanked them for canceling it till we could talk. Right now we really don’t feel a protest is a good idea till we see where our complaint with the State goes. It was nice to meet these people who are supportive of us and answer their questions. It was about 5:30 when we were all done with the meeting and they left and it was just our group again. We talked a while amongst ourselves about the complaint and what was going on, this was the first chance for Amy, Veronica, Jan & Lynn to talk with the attorney the one thing we are all sure of is what we are doing is right. As we told the others that were there what we are looking for in this complaint is to make it clear you can’t discriminate on gender expression. We should be able to go in any public place and be treated no different by the owner than anyone else. If we can get enough news coverage to get this message out then we have won.

Well we all had dinner and then at 7 we walked over to the Boiler Room as that is when they open. Amanda the bar tender was happy to see us as it has been several weeks since we were there last as we have been trying other places on Friday nights. We talked with Amanda for awhile, she is really nice. Well we went over and got table and started to play pool. The Boiler room is really a nice place and they are not that busy till 9 when they start Karaoke so it gave us a nice chance to talk some more. We talked about where we wanted to go next Friday night and as I will not be out, actually after this weekend will be a couple weeks probably before I get out as Susan again. Any way I think they are thinking about 52 street sports bar next Friday. In a way I think it is good not to go to the same place every Friday. Now the Boiler Room is a nice place as it is a younger crowd and I think there are more females there then males and the girls also tend to wear more dresses which is nice. Some places we go our group may be the only females on dresses and skirts which makes us stand out a little more.

Well about 9 they started to get busy as they got Karaoke going. Some of the people who sing are really good and others well let’s just say they got up and sang which makes them winners as I don’t have the guts to do that even though I think it would be fun. Chris sang a few times and did an awesome job. Of course as you get more people inside it gets hotter and then you got to worry about your makeup as sweat is never a good thing for a crossdresser. We tend to need to use a little more makeup to help our look and if it starts to run well just not a good look. Luckily it never got really hot inside.

There were lots of really pretty girls there and the funny thing is being a crossdresser you are torn between how pretty they are and how cute their dress or heels are or how they did their makeup. We try to take it all in and wonder how we would look in their dress or could we do our makeup the way they did and of course how they would feel about us and would they ever date us? We were having a great time when a girl came over and started talking to us, her name was Michelle and she was there celebrating her 24th birthday with her friends. Seems her boyfriend broke up with her the day before which sucks. She was really nice and also tall which I like for two reasons. First tall girls I think are hot and also they make me not look as tall when I am out as Susan. she was 5″10″ and had on these really hot high heels and since I wore my lower heels I was just a little taller so yes you guessed it I had to get a picture with her. She was really cute and had an awesome smile, wow if I was 10 years younger, oh and she was 10 years older, well I can dream. Well Cassandra, Michelle, Jan and I got our picture taken. Jan is hard to see in the picture but I looked better in this picture so I chose this one. I will also put the other picture in further down so Jan is more visible. We talked with her for about 10 minutes. She is one of the girls I was talking about, very beautiful but also had this really awesome dress and heels.

Well I did play I think 3 games of pool and did win one. The one thing that is hard to get use to is standing in line for the bathroom which is something guys do not have to worry about. Anyway the only reason I brought this up is I went to use it and there was one girl standing in line in front of me and we started chatting which again is something guys miss out on. Any way we talked for a few minutes waiting, she even knocked on the door to make sure someone was in there as it was taking a while. By this time there were about 7 other girls behind me and we all stood there talking and having a nice time. Well it had now been about 10 minutes and we were still waiting when one of the bar staff came up and said she had to check the bathroom real quick to make sure it was clean and opened the door only to find there was no one in there. So here we were all standing there for over 10 minutes waiting and the bathroom had been empty all the time. There girl who was first in line just looked at the rest of us and said, Oh well I am blonde’ and went in and we all broke up laughing.

Later on two girls and a guy came over and started talking to us. They were really nice and just wanted to meet us. I can’t remember their names but they introduced themselves. Wilma was the closest and got to talk with them the most. I was at the other end of the table and with the music had a hard time hearing them. Yes forgot to ad that Wilma, Robyn, Bob and Penelope also showed up. It was great to see them especially Wilma and Penelope as they don’t get out as much. Any way the two girls had on really cute dresses. The one thing I have noticed is here at the Boiler Room the girls always dress really nice and the guys are all pretty casual which I think tends to be the case most places as females tend to care more about how they look.

Any way I did get a chance to talk with Wilma a little but not as much as I would have liked. I am hopping she is going to Harvey’s Saturday night so we can talk more. It was a fun night and I think we left about 1:30 which was a long bight out for Susan. We walked over by CC’s as we saw Bo one of the drag queens we know out front and wanted to say hi. She was talking to a guy in a wheel chair. Now he was gay and I know this because that is how he introduced himself. He was really taken by Bo and interested in drag and Bo offered to dress him up in drag if he wanted which he did so they were exchanging information. Any way he asked my name and Jan’s name so we introduced ourselves to him. Now I don’t think he has ever met a crossdresser before because when he introduced me to his brother he made sure to mention that his brother was straight. Of course I without missing a beat just smiled and said that was nice because so was I which I think caught them both off guard. He looked at me and said he had to introduce me to someone else and would be right back. He brought his sister over and introduced her to me by saying, “this is Susan and she is straight”. Up to this point she really didn’t seem to impressed with us or the drag queens but she kind of cocked her head and looked at me smiled and said “Really” and then told me how pretty I looked. We chatted for a few minutes and I could tell they were trying to figure out why a straight guy would dress this way. I just smiled and told them I just enjoy it and dress this way a couple times a week and they seemed to accept this.

Well we left as it was now really late. Saturday night is our monthly night we go to Harvey’s Comedy club so I am really looking forward to that as it is always so much fun. I think we have about 14 of us going and we will meet at the Boiler Room between 7 & 8:30 before walking over to Harvey’s for the 10 pm show. Of course that will ve another blog.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend. Wow just noticed I was a little long winded here.

Quiet Friday night.

Well it is Friday night and I am so looking forward to going out even though I am not sure anyone else will be out. Cassandra had posted she would not be out and no one else had posted they would be out. I posted to the group that I was planning on going to Fox & Hound and then went up and took my shower to start getting ready. After my shower I checked my e-mail and Victoria had posted back she would meet me at Fox & Hound at 7:30 so I knew I would at least have one other person there.

It was a beautiful warm day and luckily none of my neighbors were outside so I was on my way. I got down town about 7:15 and my lucky streak is still intact as I found a parking spot right in front of Boiler Room just around the corner from Fox & Hound. The walk to Fox & Hound was nice with the warm sunshine, summer is so wonderful. I went into Fox & Hound and they were really busy, the bar was full and only a couple tables. One of the bar tenders, I can’t remember his name greeted me by name which is always nice. I went ahead and sat at a table and started looking at the menu. It is funny as a few years ago I would have at least waited till I saw someone or waited till after the time we were meeting to make sure others were there but I felt totally comfortable by myself waiting. In fact I only had to wait about 10 minutes till Victoria showed up.

We chatted for a while and then we ordered dinner. Now the funny thing is Fox & Hound tends to be mostly a gay club so Victoria and I were the only ladies there in amongst about 40 men and not one problem. For the most part they didn’t even give us a second thought with the exception of 2 which kept looking at us but it was more of how a man would look at a pretty girl. Victoria and I talked all through dinner and had a wonderful time. I got to know a lot more about her and I am sure she learned more about me. We talked about so many things including what we as a group should do as far as getting the girls to come out more. I know I so enjoy the Friday nights out as it is the easiest night for me to stay out late as Saturday morning I can sleep in.

We finished dinner and paid our bills and were trying to decide what to do next when Stefia and Jenn came in and joined us. It was great to see them both again. They had gone out to dinner and stopped by to see if any of the group was there. They ordered drinks and the four of us just sat there and talked more. A lot of what we talked about was where we could go and if we should find one place to go every week which has advantages as everyone would always know where the group would be and be comfortable there. There is also the thought5 of mixing it up and going different places which really would be fun but then the members of the group would really have to check the group to make sure they knew where we were. We really do have an opportunity here to change things up a little. Now I have so many wonderful memories from the P-Club and still a little upset about being asked not to come there anymore but as I am always the glass half full type of girl maybe this will give us a chance to broaden our horizon and go more places.

We talked about different places we could try like Mcmenamins, they have several places that awe could go like Kennedy school which has several bars and being so big our group would not be the dominate group there. There is also Blackwell’s grub & grill steak which Scotty from Fox & Hound recommended. We talked about maybe picking 2 places and maybe on the first and third Friday go to them so we have a regular schedule for them and then on the other Fridays mix it up with different places. This would be good as we would only be at them once a month and hopefully not be seen as dominating the place. Now there are issues with mixing it up on the other Fridays as it will take a lot of work to find places and coordinate it, making sure everyone knows where and when we will be there. This should not fall on just one person in the group though. We need to find a way to get all the members active not only in going out but also finding places to go and helping set up the outings, this is what will take our group to the next level. Now even I need to step up and help more, I have got some of the girls out to a couple dinners but for the most part I have let others, mainly Cassandra schedule everything because she is so good at it but the problem with one person always having to do things is they tend to get burnt out and you run the risk of them feeling they are unappreciated so I just want to thank Cassandra and the other girls that have stepped up and planed events. You have done so much for our group and is one of the reasons our group has grown so much.

Well we had a good night but Stefia has to fly out early in the morning so her and Jenn needed to leave. It was only 10 when we called it a night. Victoria and I talked briefly before going our separate ways. Now I had parked right in front of the Boiler Room so I kind of looked inside and by this time they were packed so I got in my car. Now thinking back to what I was talking about other members in the group helping I figured now was a good time to start so I drove out Sandy Boulevard and found Blackwell’s, it is just off Sandy at 41st. Now it does not look really big but till going inside there was no way to tell. They have a little street parking and there is a parking lot right next door but you have to pay to park there. The biggest issue from the outside is there is not a lot of street lights so it is a little dark outside which could be a little bit of a safety issue and may make some girls a little uneasy about this place.

Well looking from the outside really doesn’t tell you a lot so I went inside to take a look around. Inside there were only 8 people so not a big crowd for 10:15 on a Friday night? It really has the look of a neighbor hood bar and is a lot smaller then the P-Club. I would say it is the same size as Fox & hound but the bar is in the center so it looks smaller. I sat down at the bar and ordered a sprite. Just down the bar was Scotty the bar tender from Fox & hound who told us about this place. He said hi and introduced me to his friend and the bar tender. The bar tender was really nice and told me the owner was very accepting and was happy to have everyone and anyone there so we would be welcome which was nice. I walked around to check things out. They do have a pool table in a little side room. It would be a nice place to hang out and play pool and maybe listen to some music but not mi.uch else to do there.

I went back and sat at the bar and chatted with the bar tender a little more and a couple of the other people there talked to me, one girl named Robin came over and introduced herself which was nice. In all I stayed there about an hour and a few more people came in I think when I left they had about 14 people there so I am sure they would love our group to come in. Now I had found a parking spot right in front of the door so I was in my car to leave when Robin the girl I met inside came over to my car and asked if I was leaving and if I couldn’t stay a little longer. This made me feel welcome there. On my way home I was thinking how far I have come as Susan as a few years back I would never have gone into a bar as Susan by myself especially one I have never been in before.

Tonight is our monthly social at Cassandra & Peggy’s house. Really looking forward to it and of course will blog about it tomorrow.

Thanks for reading a have a great weekend.

Out with friends on a Wednesday night.

Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving and as it turns out I have the day off so I thought this week I would go out with my friends from the group. Now I don’t get to go out with them very often during the week as I go to work really early so I was looking forward to this. We were going to meet at Fox & Hound at 7 but with weather and traffic I was running a little late. I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right on the corner between CC’s Slaughter and Fox & Hound.

When I got there Cristine, Joan, Cassandra, Chris and Roxy were already there. It was nice to be out with them. Soon Victoria and Michelle showed up. We talked for awhile and then ordered dinner. Now here is the funny part at least now. We all got salads to start and as the waiter was serving the salads, Chris who was sitting to my right was talking with Cassandra and was really using his hands while he talked, well as the waiter went to put Roxy’s salad down Chris swung his hand and knocked the waiters hand and the salad all went down Roxy’s front and into her lap. We were all so shocked and then we saw her face, well it turns out they serve the salad dressing in little cups and yes you guessed it, the cup came off the plate and hit her right in the face. She had Salad dressing all over her face. Chris felt so bad and kept apologizing. We were all passing our napkins over to her so she could wipe it off. It was only after that we all thought about cameras but by this time she had wiped it all off her face. Well Roxy went and cleaned up and when she came back you could not tell this had happened. We all enjoyed the rest of our dinner and had wonderful conversation.

After dinner we all walked around the corner to CC Slaughters and went in, there were only a couple people there but they were expecting it to be busy so they had put away the pool table. We talked for a bit and then decided to go across the street to the Boiler Room as they have a pool table. They also had karaoke going on so Chris put his name in to sing. Buffy and her girlfriend soon arrived and so did Jan & Lynn so we had a pretty big group which was nice. None of the people there seemed to really care we were there which was nice.

Chris actually sang to songs and did a pretty good job. Joan also sang a song. We were all having a fun time and it turns out none of us played pool which was why we left CC’s and came over here. We were just having a fun time talking and sinning along with the songs we knew. Cassandra put her name in to sing the song Girls Just wasn’t to have fun and talked me and Victoria into going up with her to sing. So yes I was up in front of everyone singing with a microphone in my hand, had to share it with Victoria. I don’t think the one we had was as loud as the one Cassandra had or she just sang louder, either way she managed to get almost everyone in the club singing with us. It was a really fun time.

Well they were getting really busy and crowded so we decided to walk back across the street to CC Slaughters well it turns out they were also really busy. We went inside but with the crowd we really couldn’t go very far inside without pushing through the crowd and also there were no tables open so we stayed by the front door for a while and just talked. A couple GG’s came over and talked with us for a few minutes which was nice. I guess with the Holiday tomorrow most people have it off work so they were out partying the night away. I think it was about midnight when Cassandra and I called it a night. It was a lot of fun.

Well I didn’t make it to Starbucks this week but I will be out with the group Friday night at the P-Club which I am looking forward to. Any way have a Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog.
