Halloween Party 2011

Well I have been looking forward to this for weeks. Even with working out my costume the night before it still took me over an hour to do my makeup and get my costume on just the way I wanted. My costume is a dance hall girl, and yes there will be pictures included. I left my house at 4 pm which was interesting as they had an open house at the house across the street they are trying to sell so there was maybe 15 people walking around looking at it both inside and out but hey they didn’t know me at least not yet. I got to Cassandra and Peggy’s house at 5 pm as I had some food and wanted to help set up.

I walked in and Peggy was just coming down the stairs and we just looked at each other. We had both picked out dance hall girl costumes. The dresses were a little different but the hair feather, petticoats, fishnet stockings, garter belt & 4 inch heels were all the same. The funny part is when I picked out my costume they had two dresses that fit me, the one I picked and the other was pretty much the same as Peggy’s. We looked like sisters except I was the rather tall sister. There were only a few people there at this time and the decorations in the house were awesome, Peggy must have worked for days doing them. Soon people started to show up. This year there was a cover charge which really made since; Cassandra and Peggy spend a lot of their own money and time putting this party on. It was only $15 but for that you got all you could eat and drink and if needed you could crash on their floor and get breakfast in the morning so a very good value and I am sure it came nowhere close to what they spend. Just the prizes probably came to a couple hundred bucks.

Well before it got dark we all went outside and started to take some pictures. This is Victoria and me; I like this picture because it is the only one that shows my legs. I wore fishnets for the first time and a garter belt. I just thought it was a great picture and Victoria looked so cute in her costume. Victoria really looks good in Green. There were so many pictures being taken, even Diane had her camera and she took a tone of pictures so I hope she will post them at some point to the group and I will maybe add them to the post later. All my pictures can be seen on my web page and my face book page but I have picked out 3 to include in my blog.

There was also Karaoke again this year. Morgan one of our members did the Karaoke and did an awesome job and yes I did sing one song, Mama Mia. What can I say I like ABBA. Not sure I would ever sing in a public setting but here in this small setting it was fun. There were several girls that did a great job singing.

Jennifer and her wife made it to the party which was great as I have only e-mailed her. I think she said this was only her third time out. It was great to meet her and get to talk with her. Jennifer’s wife is so nice and supportive of her which is great. I hope they can both come out with the group. She had a cute costume and it was nice to get a picture with someone taller than me.

Rachel and her boyfriend came again this year, their costumes were great, and they were both ballerina’s Rachel the black swan and her boyfriend the white swan. They were awesome. Last year their costumes were Star Trek. Rachel made both their costumes and did a great job.

Rachael Miller and her wife came to the party for a little bit. I have known Rachael for many years so it was great to see her and to finally meet her wife. I got to talk to both of them for a while which was nice. Rachael’s wife had a great costume.

Kim, one of Peggy’s friends was also there and had this amazing sexy costume, she was a dead hoe. I had to get a picture with her. She was voted the sexiest costume at the party. She has gone out with the group several times and is always so nice. We had a chance to talk for a while which was nice, would like to have talked to her more. Hopefully she will come out more with the group.

The party was awesome and I think they tried to get a count but haven’t heard the final numbers but would guess 60 to 70 as some came and went so not everyone was there all at the same time. And there were so many great costumes.

There was so much food and drink even though all I drink is pop but at one point they ran out of ice so Peggy asked me to drive her to the store to get more. I was only too happy to as it gave me a chance to go out to the store in my costume plus Peggy had the same costume so us two dance hall girls got in my car and went to the grocery store. It was fun even though they were not that busy and there was no one else in costumes. On the way out as we were getting to my car we got a couple cat calls from a guy and girl getting out of their car.

The party was so much fun and I want to thank Peggy and Cassandra for such a wonderful party and opening up their house again this year for the best Halloween party in town. You two are awesome and I am so lucky to call you friends.

Halloween Costume

Well I picked up my Halloween costume today after work and spent all evening trying different looks, makeup and wigs to find the best look. I think I did about 12 different looks before I found the one I like the best. I am all ready for the party tomorrow night. It was a good idea to try this tonight as I spent probably 4 hours working out the right look. Now tomorrow I will be able to get ready in a reasonable amount of time.

I am so looking forward to the Party with all my friends. It will be such fun. I plan on stopping at the grocery store on the way to the party to pick up a veggie and fruit tray for the party. I like to bring something and also gives me the chance to go out in public in my costume. I plan on taking lots of pictures so I can post them.

You can read about the last two Halloweens and the parties I went to in my blog, 2010 & 2009.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend and if you go to Halloween parties have fun and take lots of pictures.

Halloween costume

Well yesterday morning I went out looking for costume ideas for Halloween. I hit a few different shops but I found a great costume. I ended up at Greenleaf costumes in Hillsboro Oregon. They have a huge selection of costumes and they both sell and rent them. Well this year I am renting a costume this year. I will pick it up Friday before the party.

The party is going to be so much fun this year. Big thanks to Cassandra and Peggy for hosting it once again.

Halloween Party 2010

Well last night’s party was awesome. To start my costume was a female Robin Hood and very cute I thought. I took extra time getting ready and did a really good job on my eyes, more dramatic. Now on my way to the party I just had to stop at Albertson’s and pick up some veggie tray’s and candy. Now I know I could have gotten them earlier but what fun would that be. I wanted to go shopping in my costume as it was just too cute to not be out in public. I am sure I got a few looks but who cares it is Halloween.

I got to the party about 6:45 and there were already 20 people or more there and I thought I would be early. The house was all decorated for the party. Peggy had done a fantastic job and had a theme for each room. It was truly awesome and she way out did herself, great job Peggy and thanks. There was so much food and drinks Cassandra and Peggy threw a truly awesome party and me and all the girls in the group really really appreciated it. I hope they know how much, you two truly rock.

It was hard to tell how many people were there as some came and left early and others came late but the best guess would at least 75 to 80 maybe more. The costumes were all so great and fun and some were really good. We had Star Trek, Wizard of OZ, pirates, Vampires and so many more and of course there were so many pictures taken. I have posted my best pictures on my Flickr page and the rest on my Live profile. Please feel free to check them out.

There was even a costume contest and it was hard to pick which one you liked the best, of course I am a Star Trek fan so that was my vote. But really all the costumes were really cute, Peggy in her Pirates costume and there was another girl with a really cute Pirate costume which you can see in my pictures. Cassandra also had prizes for the best costumes. It was so much fun.

The highlight of the evening was Karaoke. Cassandra hired Suzanne, her and her husband do Karaoke at Embers on Sunday night. Her husband had another party he was doing. Suzanne was wonderful and made it so much fun. And I know the big question everyone is asking, Did I or didn’t I sing. Well the answer is yes even though I don’t drink so I was totally sober I put my name in and gave it a try. Sense we were at a private party and among friends I worked up the courage and sang Thank you for the music by ABBA. Here is a picture to prove it. It was actually fun although I don’t think I would do it out in public. And yes Cassandra also had prizes for best singing, best performance and worst singing, I can’t believe how much she did for this party and I hope she knows how much we all appreciated it. I didn’t win any prizes which was fine as it was just a fun night all around

I stayed till 1:45 and the party was still going maybe 25 girls still there. It was truly a fantastic night. This group, the Rose_City_T-girls is truly wonderful and are some of my best friends.

One last thing is a big big thanks to Cassandra and Peggy, you two are awesome and my best friends. Love you both

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween

Out at Starbuck’s

Well it is my normal Wednesday night out at Starbuck’s. So I will start with the most important thing, yes Susan has her Halloween costume. I went to several places over the weekend in boy mode looking at costumes and found some really cute ones but as I figured they are made for average to small females and just would not fit me. I did how ever find one that is pretty cute and does fit so I bought it and have already tried it on and everything is good so I am a go for the Halloween party Saturday night. I am really looking forward to it as last year was so much fun. I was thinking about it the other day, just a couple years ago Halloween was so fun because I could go out as Susan any place I wanted and no one even blinked an eye. Just being out as Susan made Halloween so much fun. Now I go out so often That Halloween needs more than just a dress, it needs a cute costume that Susan will look great in. It is funny how things have change. Any way I will be sure and get pictures and post them so check back after Halloween to read all about the party and see some pictures.

Well today was a good day as I got off work a little earlier so Susan had more time to get ready which is always fun and I actually left early with the hope of being to Starbuck’s by 6:30 but as luck would have it there was a wreck on the freeway which slowed traffic down. I got off the freeway before the wreck so it wasn’t that big of a delay, about 15 minutes so I still got here a little early. When I got here there was only one other person here so I had my choice of seats and got to pick a table closer to the front and more out in the open which is nice for people watching. Any way about 5 minutes before 7 people started coming in, one after another and by 7:15 most of the tables were taken so I guess everyone likes to get here about the same time I do. I may have to try to be a little earlier from now on.

A Strange thing happened yesterday on my Flickr account. Those who know me or have looked at my pictures know how much I like Acrylic nails, any way about a year ago someone invited me to post one of my pictures of my Acrylic nails in a Flickr group called nails which of course I did and I also joined the group. Any way I checked it a couple time after and there were only a couple pictures and 4 members including me. I forgot all about the group as it really wasn’t active, well yesterday I got an e-mail from the group informing me I am now an Administrator for the group and I was wondering why someone would do this so I logged onto the group and the message I got was that the person who started the group had left the group and there were only 2 members left and as I was the longest remaining member Flickr made me the Administrator. Well I have never planned on having a group but sense I seem to have inherited it I thought I would play with it and see what happens. I have got a few people to join and got some new pictures so we will see how it goes. If you like pretty nails you can check it out http://www.flickr.com/groups/acrylicnails/

Well it is starting to slow down now here as there are only about 10 other people here. It is so strange how relaxing it is to come to Starbuck’s and catch up on e-mails, update my blog and even chat on line sometimes with friends and I must not be the only one as 4 of the other 10 people are here also by themselves. One reading a book, another on an electronic book and the other 2 has their computers going. Till I started coming to Starbuck’s I never realized how many people come to a place like this. You see Starbuck’s everywhere plus other coffee places and I always wondered how they could possibly make enough money to stay open but they seem to draw the people in.

Any way must go for now, have a great week and thanks for readying my blog

Wednesday 10-13-10 at Starbucks

Well it is Wednesday and of course I am out at my Favorite Starbuck’s. It is that time of year now that it is getting colder at night so of course now Susan has to take her little jacket with her when she goes out. I really need to get me a nice winter coat for Susan this year.

Well onto the big thing on my mind, Halloween. It is just 18 days away and I still have no costume or even an idea of what I want to be. I also am getting busy again at work and will probably miss next Wednesday and the last Friday of the month as I traded that night to get Saturday night the 30 off to go to a party at Cassandra and Peggy’s house. They go all out for these parties and ask nothing in return. I will of course bring some snacks like a veggie tray or something and maybe something to drink plus give me a good excuse to go into a store in my costume that is if I can come up with something. I know I could dress up as a girl, wait I already do that so not such a good idea. Well still have some time.

It is strange thinking back a few years when all I could think about was Halloween as it was a chance to be Susan and go out, now I go out so much as Susan that I really want a cute costume and not just dressing up feminine. My how things have changed for Susan. So I guess I will pose a question to those of you who read my blog. For those who are in the gender community do you dress up in costumes or just use Halloween as an excuse to go out in you female (or male for t-guys)? For years Halloween was Susan’s biggest night of the year and now it is the nights I get out with all my friends so in that way Halloween has lost a little of the fun for me, don’t get me wrong it is still probably my favorite holiday but the reasons have changed. Any way would love to hear what your thoughts are on Halloween plus if you have any ideas for costumes please feel free to post them.

Well back to my night here, Starbucks has been pretty steady and most of the tables have people at them. It still amazes me how busy they are especially with all the coffee shops around. There are so many and I admit I drive by probably 6 other Starbucks to get to this one. I know what you are thinking why drive so far, well at first I wanted to go away from where I lived as I really didn’t want to run into anyone I know, which by the way I have here twice now but they didn’t notice me or at least didn’t say anything about it to me. But more than that is the fact that the girls who work at this one are all so awesome and treat me really well right down to remembering what I like to drink. Maybe I should order something different sometime just to throw them off, you know change it up a little. Now to be honest every Starbucks I have gone to I have been treated well and just like any other customer but as I have come here so many times over the last year and know most of the girls (not by name) but still there is a comfortable safe feeling here and that really means a lot. There has been a lot of talk lately in my group here (Rose_City_T-Girl) about places to go where we feel safe or wanted. Seems there were some other issues at the Candlelight, I guess some threats were made against us by a couple of the customers and even a bottle thrown at one of our group. I didn’t know about this and it has made our whole group rethink going there. Now I am the first to stand up and say we shouldn’t be chased off but when it comes to personal safety one must really think about the benefit to reward and is it worth it. There are so many places we can go where we are accepted and even wanted. The bad thing is the Candlelight was a fun place to go and we always had fun there. Any way enough about that.

I guess I should also give a pitch for our T-girl group, Rose_City_T-Girls. It is such a fun group and really has some awesome members. If you are transgender (Crossdresser, t-girl, transsexual, the significant other or just an admirer of transgender) and live in the Portland/Vancouver metro area of Oregon or travel here you are welcome to join. The only rule is you must have a face picture either on a yahoo profile (yahoo group) or be willing to send in a picture to post in the group photo which is only viewable by members if privacy is a concern. Now I am not sure of the total makeup of the group right now as we now have 168 members but ruff guess would be 10 to 15 significant others, 10 admirers and maybe 5 just friends of members and the rest transgender in one way or another. Feel free to check out the main page (all you can see without being a member) the main page tells you about the group and more information on joining. The group has helped so many to come out more including me. 3 years ago I was lucky to get out 4 or 5 times a year and was always nervous and now it is twice a week and I feel pretty relaxed most of the time. Having a support group is awesome. If you don’t live in the area see if there is a group where you live as it really will make a difference, if not why mot start one where you live. Our group was started by Cassandra 3 years ago as a way to bring t-girls together and have a way to know when and where others would be out so you didn’t have to worry about going out and being by yourself. What a simple and wonderful idea she had and we all are so grateful she did this.

Well I need to catch up on some other things here before they close for the night. I hope you all have a great week and thanks so much for reading my blog.

Wednesday 10-6-2010

Well it is another Wednesday night out at Starbuck’s. I have been looking forward to this for a few days now. Work is still really busy so I worked extra today and got home late so I had to rush again to get Susan ready and out the door. Actually I didn’t rush that much so was a little late getting he, the big thing is once again I left home without my jewelry and noticed it when I was on the freeway so I didn’t go back for it so Susan feels a little incomplete. It is strange as a guy I hate rings and even my watch on my wrist bothers me if it is loose but Susan loves her rings and bangle bracelets. Like so, any things in this part of my life I can’t explain an better than the way I feel. I still get asked all the time why I like to be Susan and dress up as her and the only explanation I can give is I enjoy it and it relaxes me.

People like to be able to understand thing and have reasons but for me there is no underlying reasons other than relaxing. It is such a simple answer and people feel there should be more to it and I am sure for some there is but for me it is relaxation and a chance to get away from my normal life, kind of a mini vacation. If you can’t understand this try being someone else for a few hours, you do not have to dress just make up another person to be. I have met so many wonderful friends as Susan, mostly through our yahoo group Rose_City_tigirls which Cassandra started a few years back as a way for us to meet and get to know others who share our hobby (for some it is a way of life). But either way we have a way to now when and where others will be so we don’t have to go out alone if we don’t want. Cassandra has done a wonderful job with this group. I would encourage everyone if there is a group to join like this one so worth it and if not try to create one. Some of our girls never came out till they joined the group and got to know others. It would be so great to see other yahoo groups across the country just like our group here.

Any way it is not as busy here tonight as last week but still more than a few months ago. I think their business is picking up which is good as I would hate to see this one closed for lack of business. Susan really like to come here and feels so comfortable here. Just a really nice place with wonderful people working here. It was a beautiful day out today mid 70′s, but nights are really starting to cool off so I brought my little jacket as it will be chilly when I leave tonight. It seemed so strange for it to be dark by 7. I am not looking forward to the winter as that means colder and shorter days.

Well moving on. There are only a few weeks to Halloween and I need to come up with a costume for a Halloween at Cassandra & Peggy’s house. They are hosting another party. They are so great as they have opened their house for several parties over the last two years. I really hope they know how much the group appreciates this; they are really two awesome people. They have even hired someone to come in and do karaoke for the night and have prizes for several things. Now I am not sure I will attempt to sing as I have terrible stage fright. When I did the t-girl pageant I was so scared to be out in front of people. It really does not make any sense as I am a guy who can dress up as a woman and go out and not think twice about it but put me on a stage Male or female and I am worried what people will think. Any way back to my costume. Last year I knew what I wanted to be (Wonder Woman) and it still took me time to find a costume that fit, this year I have no idea so I am really behind the eight ball on this. If anyone has ideas feel free to forward them to me as I need all the help I can get. I would like something really cute and maybe sexy.

Well it has slowed down here and I have got all caught up on the work I needed to do and even had a little time to just surf the internet so it has been a good night. I will post again this weekend as I will once again be out Friday night. I think we are going to the Candlelight again but won’t know for sure till tomorrow. One last thing Cassandra is running the Portland Marathon this weekend, wow 26 mile’s what an accomplishment as she only started running around the first of the year. Way to go Cassandra. I would have a hard time running a mile right now but that is one of my goals to start running again as I need to get in shape and loose some wait. Any way hope you all have a great rest of the week.

Hugs

Halloween night Party, one word awsome

Halloween night was awesome. My costume was great, I was Wonder Woman. It took some work but it was so worth it. I went to a party at Cassandra and Peggy’s house. They were so great to throw a Halloween party for all us T-girls. Peggy did a great job decorating their house, you two rock. On the way there I did stop at Albertson’s and picked up my veggie trays because I wanted to go shopping in my costume even if only for a few minutes. It was so fun. The party was just getting started when I got there so we started to take pictures, I favorite thing to do for t-girls. I have posted some on my flickr page. Maya and Bev even showed up which was so nice. They are so much fun.

Several of the t-girls even brought their wives and girlfriend with them. It is so nice to know that there are woman out there that not only tolerate but except and support cross-dressing. To all you ladies you are awesome and I can only hope I can be so lucky. It was nice to get to talk to everyone and get to know them better. Our group has gotten so big there are t-girls I haven’t met yet, or just barley know. My goal is to meet them all and get to know each and every one of them. Even Peggy’s friend Julie showed up in a cute fire fighter costume. It was nice to see her again and I got a chance to talk to her for a while. There were a lot of good and cute costumes there. I got second place in the costume contest which was so fun. Later on the bar tender gave out 4 garter belts to the cutes girls there and I was one of the lucky ladies along with Julie, Peggy and Brenda.

I had a great time and even got to meet Candy, a new member of our group. She is really nice and pretty and we seem to be a lot alike. We share a lot of the same feelings about dressing and why we do it. She is married and only came out to her wife a few weeks ago and yet her wife also seems to be okay with her dressing. I look forward to getting to know her better and maybe even meet her wife some night if she comes out with her. It was such a fun time and I lost track of how many people were there but I bet it was at least 50 or more.

I am so lucky to have found such good friends. You Are all so awesome and make it so much fun to be Susan and go out.

Thanks again Peggy and Cassandra for opening your house up to us for a wonderful party. You are the best.

Night before Halloween out with friends

I went out to meet some friend at Embers on Friday night October 30th. It was the night before Halloween but I didn’t wear my costume as I wanted to save it for the party on Halloween. I knew Cassandra and Lisa would be there but didn’t know if any of the other girls would show up as most are planning on going to the party. I got there about 7:30 and Cass, Lisa and Teresa were already there. It is always nice to see them as they are some of my best friends and I look forward to the time we spend together all week. Teresa and I spent time talking about all kinds of stuff from computers to going out in public. I think this is my favorite part of being out, girl talk. It gives us a chance to get to know each other better and build on our friendships.

Embers started off pretty slow but by the time the show started it was really crowded and our group of t-girls had grown. We had over 10 and we were having a great time and some even wore costumes and now I was thinking maybe I should have worn mine, next year I will. They had a costume contest and there were some good costumes. Seeing all the costumes is really making me look forward to the party. Saturday night should be so much fun. Cassandra thinks there will be lots of t-girls there although she is not sure how many will have on costumes. I am bringing a veggie tray to the party and I am still thinking of stopping on the way to pick it up just to wear my costume into the store. I think that would be fun.

Hope you all have a fun and magical Halloween

Susan

Ready for Halloween

Well I got the last of my costume this morning and put it all together and it looks really cute. I am really happy with the way it turned out. It is just a little tight and small on me but it worked out better than I hoped. I am so excited now about Halloween next week when I get to wear my costume. It will be so much fun and I will have to get lots of pictures so I can post them on my Flickr page. Hope everyone is looking forward to Halloween and has a wonderful time.
